Comment on Facebook being truncated if I use Firefox in my Ubuntu 11.04

I've upgraded my Firefox to the latest available in Ubuntu 11.04, ie. 7.01
but the problem still happened...
it happened in earlier versions too,
whenever I comment on my facebook's friend's status,
the message will be truncated, it'll appear, just not complete,
I've no problem with other browser, ie. opera, chrome

If the download is still listed in Tools->Downloads in Firefox then select it in download window and right-click and "Open containing folder" to see where it is.

Firefox uses too much cache when commenting in Facebook - 45MB when the text is only 1kB - why?

Firefox uses too much cache when commenting in Facebook. I wrote a comment up to 1000 characters and my PC crawled. I had to wait several times for the text to catch up with my typing. I cleared caches after entering my comment and it freed up 45MB of RAM from the firefox.exe process in Windows Task Manager. Why does Firefox use 45MB when the text is only 1kB?
Another time the firefox.exe process began at 88MB and went up to 250MB whilst writing a comment, reducing to 170MB afterwards. Firefox hogs the CPU too (I tried the CPU hogging tips but none was the solution to this), but the memory usage is the issue because the CPU would not be hogged if less data was being moved or cached.
I accept some slowness on an old 1.2GHz 512MB PC but the facebook issue is much worse than other sites.

The newest version of flash Plugin only works with Opera 9.5 beta. If you want to use flash with the stable Opera find an older version of the flash plug in.
Thanks for the hint, will keep that in mind in the case I will switch to Opera again (used it for a while because Firefox2 scrolling was bad, with 3 it is much better). Besides, there is a new flash version in the repos.

Facebook apparently has their site coded poorly for tablets with touch screens. Try using the Facebook app. It is not perfect either but it is better than view in a browser lately.

I can't comment or like anything on Facebook when using Firefox. Other browsers work, just not Facebook.

I've tried clearing all my history, cookies, and everything else on Firefox, but it doesn't fix the problem.
Whenever I try to comment on a post in facebook it says "Unable to post comment." And it won't let me like any posts either.
Google Chrome works perfectly with Facebook. I don't want to quit using Firefox, but unless I get a solution soon that may be what I have to do.

After i typed in my comments under facebook posts, when i hit return, it doesn't let me post it but the comments window just gets bigger and bigger.

Facebook 1.00(4667) problems using 8500

I'm trying to use facebook for nokia version 1.00(4667) and either it is completely useless, it's not working properly or I'm being really stupid and missing something... all possible...
The basic problem is that i can't see wall posts at all... if I go to someone's feed it will say something like "Tom wrote on **bleep**'s wall" or "**bleep** wrote on Harry's wall" and then if I click on it will just take me to that person wall rather than showing me what was written. If comments have been left then I get a small blue speech bubble thing on the right hand side which I can click on to see the comments but again I can't see what the original post on the wall was..
It's the exact same on the mini feed "Tom wrote on **bleep**'s wall" but then i can't see anything apart from the profile of either Tom or **bleep** or the comments left but not the post itself. And it's the same deal with status updates, either I get linked to the person profile where all the wall will say is things like "Tom wrote on **bleep**'s wall", "Tom commented on **bleep**'s status" etc etc but can never see anything else...It kind of makes the whole app useless...
Is this normal and it's just a rubbish app or has it not installed properly or am I just missing something...

Because I am having issues with Norton Security Suite with the upgrade to Firefox 4.0.1, I have been dealing with that as well, with no success to-date. However, I did notice today when I was looking in my trash, an interesting thing occurred with the upgrade that MAY have something to do with the apps. in Facebook not working correctly now with Firefox.
In my trash, there are several folders of 'Recovered Files'. Two of them are loaded with Internet Plugins for Facebook and were all dumped on May 1st, the day I upgraded to v. 4.0.1 Firefox and began having all my problems. For example, they are plugins like: plugin-cross domain.xml, plugin-gateway-1.php, plugin-102452128776.gz-72.json, just to name a few of them. Now, I am wondering if they were inadvertently removed during the upgrade process, or if they are in conflict with the new upgrade. Should I put them all back into Library -->Internet Plug-Ins to see if that resolves the problems? There are so many of them, I wish there was a way to mark them in some fashion in case I would have to remove them and not take the wrong ones out! Maybe there is a way I can color code them before I move them. I hate using 2 browsers!
I notice that 2 other people have this problem but I don't see where they left any post. I really wish Norton, Firefox, and Facebook would get this ironed out. This is my first time posting here, so I'm sorry, I re-read my post several times and honestly did think I provided enough information, but you're right, it wasn't the right kind. I work with jpg, psd, ai, svg, and pdf files. Most of my stacks are three different file types of the same image, usually jpg, psd/ai, and pdf.
I have not recieved any error messages
I am not having issues opening raw files, I am not having printing issues, I have listed the troubleshooting steps I have taken.

I have recently changed my ISP, therefore, i know my computer is not the problem, although some of the settings may be. Stored Proc output being truncated with latest ojdbc14 and classes12.jar

I downloaded the latest ojdbc14.jar from Oracle website and used it with my Java program. I noticed a peculiar behavior. If my stored proc is returning a VARCHAR with large number of characters, the output is being truncated. This worked fine with the older ojdbc14.jar (and the older classes12.jar). It does not work properly with the new ojdbc14 and classes12.jar. Is there something that I am missing here?
My Oracle Server version is - Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0.

I can't open the chat bar in facebook when using Firefox, why?

Whenever i use Firefox in Facebook, i can't open the chat bar and when i try to click Profile, I still have to confirm it. It's also the same when i try to look at notifications and when i try to log-out. Is there a way to make it stop asking me when i go to my profile without the browser asking me?

Long "Memo" in Treo650 being truncated in Outlook "Note"

While synchronizing with Outlook, the memos that are a bit long (big number of characters) are being truncated in the Notes of outlook. Same is happening to the Address, while i have one address with a long text in the "Note" section. This note section is truncated in the corresponding Outlook contact. Finally, the birthday of addresses is not showing in Outlook contacts. I am using Palm Desktop 6.2.2; Hotsync Manager 7.0.2; Conduit Sync with ourlook for Outlook 2007; Outlook 2007.

The error/issue is not with Acrobat. As you save the Word file as a PDF open the 'options' box and check the box 'Create bookmarks using headings'; all heading text should be displayed in the bookmark without truncation.
