Commentaires adobe reader et adobe pro

bonjour,

Dalb

what is the shortcut key to highlight words in adobe reader in macbook pro?
Shift + U is not working
how can i change shortcut key?

I don't believe there is a keyboard shortcut available for that feature. But I believe if you click-select the topmost chapter, and Shift-click the bottommost chapter, it should select them all.
Other shortcuts for books can be set up in Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts in the Panel Menus product area. There are no default shortcuts in that area.

  • Adobe Reader and Acrobat Pro updates for 11.0.10 being pushed out through SolarWinds Patch Manager are not being recognized as applicable.

I am trying to update our Adobe Reader and Acrobat Pro to 11.0.10 using the default MSP packages with SolarWinds Patch Manager.  All of the systems keep reporting as 'NOT APPLICABLE'.  All of the workstations have Reader11.0.09, with about 10% still on 11.0.08 (due to the fact that the reader 11.0.09 package only patched about 2/3 of the systems).  All systems that have Acrobat Pro are 11.0.09.
In SolarWinds I am using the "Adobe Systems, Inc. Packages" node.
    Adobe Systems Acrobat 11 Catalog
    Adobe Systems Reader 11 Catalog
and the SW Patch Manager downloads the msp's straight from Adobe.
I have checked the msp's manually and they will update at least back to 11.0.07 in Reader, and 11.0.0 in Acrobat Pro. (I had an old stand alone system that still had Reader 11.0.07, and I did a new install of Pro and went straight to update 11.0.10)
The SolarWinds Tech said, "Okay. That content is produced by Adobe. Any questions concerning applicability logic or diagnosing why a package reports as NotApplicable when that's not expected would need to be directed to Adobe, as they are solely responsible for that content and its behavior".
I am new to SolarWinds Patch Manager, and any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you are attempting to use the SCUP catalogs outside of the MS solution.  I can almost guarantee you that Adobe didn't test it if it's not referenced in the ETK:  11   SCCM-SCUP — Enterprise Administration Guide
That being said there "should" be logging available in any deployment solution.   Since I am not familiar with Solar-Winds particular solution I can't say if it logs errors and how verbose those logs might be.    If you have logs then post the output and the forum members "might" be able to assist you.

  • FDF file not opening in IE 8 with Adobe reader 9 or Adobe pro 9

    Hi
I have a fdf file that is  working fine with IE 7 when I am using adode reader 9 or pro. But the  same fdf is not working fine if my browser is IE 8 . The target element   for the fdf is a file that is there in our web server. The same FDF is also working fine in IE 8 if the version is reader used is 8 or lower
can any one help me to fix  this.
    Thanks in Advance
    RAVISH G

I will add a "Me too" onto this thread. I have to use a third-party site which sends an FDF document (over Internet Explorer), however Adobe Reader doesn't load inside this browser window, but rather launches itself *outside* of this browser window (in standalone mode, more or less)...
In fact, when Adobe Reader is loading outside the browser window the only thing I have here is the original PDF document where the data should be added on. The PDF file is actually a form but I have it displayed "blank", that is without any user-provided data. On Internet Explorer's point of view, I only have the "PDF File" icon in the center of my window, but nothing else (all white)
    Here are the specs:
    Toshiba Satellite laptop
Windows Vista Home Premium, all patched
Latest Adobe Reader available when typing this reply (9.3)
    I have:
Uninstalled, reinstalled Adobe Reader, but nothing better happens (Adobe Reader just pops out of the browser to display the original PDF file)
Upgraded to Internet Explorer 8 (as I was running IE7 on this PC), also added the URL of the intranet site in question in my "trusted sites" in IESpeaking of Internet Explorer, I also did a "reset to default values" many times over this process
Double-checked the values in the Windows Registry in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT to see that both FDF and PDFs are gonna be executed on Adobe Reader (I have no other PDF readers or writers installed anyway)
Double-checked that the Activex control that is needed to be run so Adobe Reader can start is actually whitelisted in Microsoft's IE registry, more on this here
Ensured that Edit, Preferences, Internet, "Display in the browser" is in fact checked. I did the extra mile here: I unchecked, pressed OK, left Adobe Reader then came back to enable it again just in case something doesnt get written accordingly to those settings in the UI.
    Now i'm out of clues
For what its worth, only internet explorer gives me this problem, Firefox and Chrome just opens Adobe Reader inside the browser with the FDF provided.

  • Can't print scanned pdf files  Xerox 3450  Adobe Pro and Reader 9

I have a user that cannot print PDF's made up of scanned images to a network printer.
The job goes to the printer and spools up but hangs at either 64kb or 255kb and then errors out.
Even if I print just one page, it does the same thing.
Folks with Acrobat Pro 8 or Reader 8 can print the same file to the same printer with no problems.
    OS: XP
Network Printer: Xerox Phaser 3450 PS
Adobe:  Reader 9.1.3 and  Acrobat Professional 9.1.3
    I have tried the following:
On the Xerox 3450 PS Printer:
    - disabling Advanced Printing Options
    - changing Post script options to: EPS, optimize for speed, optimize for portablity
    - reloading the printer drivers
    - unmapping/remapping the printer on the customer's system.
In the Reader and Acrobat Pro print options:
    - print only Document rather than Document and Markups
    - print as image
    - unchecked 'convert to true type1'
    - changed options to Send for each page, send by range,
    - tried using Language level 2
    - reinstalling Adobe Reader 9
This happens once the customer is upgraded to Adobe Reader 9.  If I disable the 'Advanced Printer options' he can print OCR/Text PDF files but cannot print even a single page Scanned image PDF file. The spooler hangs at 255kb and then the print job errors out.
I confirmed this  same issue on multiple machines and on other Xerox 3450 printers on multiple print servers.  It is the same for Adobe Reader 9 and Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.
The machines and  users are in different parts of the country on different print servers but the symptoms are the same: after being upgraded to Adobe Reader 9.1.3 or Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.1.3 they cannot send certain PDF files (so far just scanned image files) to a Xerox 3450 PS network printer.
Any suggestions on what to try next would be appreciated.

This problem plagued me for several weeks, until I found a solution that has allowed me to print scanned documents as quickly as a text document.
I have confirmed this worked on several network X3450 printers using Adobe Reader 9.1.3 and Adobe Acrobat Professional v9.1.3
In the Reader and Acrobat Pro print options:
Click on the Advanced button and uncheck "Print as image" if it's checked.
Click on "Let printer determine colors" to enable this option
        Click OK and Print.
After making this change, the document queued up and printed as fast a any text document printed.
I had a single page scanned text document which was about 19 KB, but when sent to the printer, the spooler grew from 10 MB to 50 MB to 80 MB, until an error occurred. Like you I tried many combinations until one worked. Then it was a matter of figuring out which setting was primarily responsible for allowing it to print quickly.
Most likely the problem is with the raster image processor (RIP) within Adobe Reader and Acrobat. By selecting the option to "Let the printer determine colors", it passes that part of the processing over to the RIP within the printer. Since the X3450 is not a color printer, the information is easily converted to grayscale and printed.
I'm still trying to absorb the information in the articles I have read so far, and I welcome any discussion about this from those more knowledgeable than I.
I hope this fix works for you as it did for me. I made a lot of happy customers once they were able to print since most of their documents are scanned rather than created with Acrobat.

  • HT1338 how to download adobe reader on macbook pro

how to download adobe reader on macbook pro?

First of all, I want you to know that Mac OS X already has the ability to open and read PDF files. You do it with the Preview application. Also, on the Mac Adobe Reader is the third most vulnerable application to security risks. That is due to exploit are delivered through PDF files.
If you decide to download it you should still stick to using Preview to open PDF files and only use Adobe Reader in the few cases that Adobe Reader is absolutely required. Preview is not vulnerable to the same exploits as Adobe Reader because it does not have all the capabilities as Adobe Reader.
To get Adobe Reader go to: http://get.adobe.com/reader/
Click on the download button. Once the download completes install the software.

  • Is it possible to automatically open a form in Adobe Pro v. Reader?

    Hi,
I, also, am wondering if there is a way to avoid having to close all of my open pdfs every time I want to open Adobe Pro?

This issue has been resolved since upgrading from Adobe Pro 8 to Adobe Acrobat X Pro (v 10.1.6)

  • I have downloaded adobe pro XI, but when I open a pdf (in or out of Endnote) it still defaults to adobe reader

How do I get my pdfs to open in adobe pro and not reader, including in endnote?

    Hi Canuck,
To make Adobe Acrobat XI the default viewer for viewing PDF files, follow these steps:
    1. Right-Click on any PDF file.
    2. From the menu that appears, Select Open With -> Choose Program
    3. Now browse and select Adobe Acrobat X from the available programs
    4. Check the Check box present at the bottom of the list that says "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" and press OK.
The default PDF viewer should change for you. If you need further assistance in this regard, browser to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307859.
Do let me know if this information helped you.

  • Disabling open pdf in browser in adobe PRO XI not reader

I have deployed adobe pro out to our user base and i understand in adobe PRO X there was a check box that would disable open pdf in a browser but that has gone away. I have gone under the preferences and on the internet section in PRO XI there is a link that takes you
here: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/display-pdf-browser-acrobat-xi.html I have created a GPO that disables the active X control in both IE 8 and IE 10 as you can see from this screen shot the adobe pdf reader is disabled so according to the instructions on the web all pdf files should open in PRO XI. This is not the case. The pdf will still open in the browser. I have checked the new customizations wizzard for adobe PRO XI and there is nothing to disable disply pdf in the browser to uncheck that i am aware of. I have read about the bdisablewebintegration but this have not worked either under the FeatureLockDown. In adobe reader you can go under the accessibilty options and disable open within a browser there but I have been unable to find that option in PRO XI. Had anyone found a fix for this issue to where it can be deployed out?
    Please let me know
    Thanks
    pjhernan

From the screenshot it looks like you have both Acrobat and Reader on the machine and only Reader is disabled.
Check again. If you think the doc is incorrect, post back.
    --- more info ---
All browser integration prefs were deprecated with 11.x because browser companies are releasing new versions every 6 weeks or more. It was simply not possible to keep pace without requiring admins to update every few weeks. Moreover, most browsers are gradually phasing out such plugins or at least disable them by default (e.g. Chrome). Many companies provide a browser-specific PDF viewer. Acrobat and Reader share the same config and there's nothing different between the two.

Hi there, I currently subscribe to Adobe Pro Subscription (yearly) and I also subscribe to Adobe PDF pack (monthly).  I only require Adobe to read and create PDF documents such as converting word/excel document or a web based document.  Can someone tell me if I'm doubling up as I'm not sure of the differences between the products and would like to save a few dollars.

Acrobat Pro can do a lot more than the PDF Pack online service.
Try if you can do everything you need with PDF Pack; otherwise keep Acrobat Pro.

  • Reduce file size in Adobe Reader X, not Pro version?

How do I reduce the size of my file in Adobe Reader X (not Pro version)?
It's a large file (+70 pages), basically a magazine in PDF.

Adobe Reader cannot edit or optimize PDF files.

  • Printing preview with adobe pro or acrobat reader

When I print a document I generally use the Preview button to check what the document looks like.
Is it normal that with Adobe Pro or Reader the Preview buttons returns the following comment "preview is not supported".
    Merci

Yes, that seems like the expected behavior - I am not exactly sure why Adobe does this, but it happens here too.
If it's important, you could ask on the Adobe site or send feedback to Apple asking why this occurs.

  • Screen Reader Tech responsiveness in Adobe Pro vs. Adobe Reader

I created a custom form using LiveCycle ES2. I am testing the usability of the form in conjunction with Screen Reader Technology (specifically NVDA) in Adobe Professional 9 and Adobe Reader X. The text fields that are read aloud by the Screen Reader while using Adobe Pro, are NOT read aloud while viewing the form in Adobe Reader. Is there a specific solution/adjustment/edit to solve this problem, or is this simply a limitation to using Adobe Reader with Screen Reader Technology?

Have you sent up the screen reader in Reader?
