Commenting on Shared PDF not available

Using Adobe Reader 9.3.... I'm trying to beta test this document which I download and can make and mark comments on.. however I can't upload them or post comments anywhere like they are telling me to.. The original author does have it activated on the document to use reader as i believe other people are using it..
I can't see anything in my reader to turn on this functionality.. Create Adobe PDF using Acrobat.com is grayed out for me as well..
Please can someone assist me on where to activate these features!!!
I do not have access to Adobe Standard or Pro 9

The orignal document was created in Actrobat Pro..
I can see it when I open Acrobat 8.1 pro but This just crashes on me.. and I was told I needed at least reader, standard or Pro 9...

Commenting on Shared PDF

Is it possible for people to comment on a shared PDF the way they can on a shared InDesign file? I've uploaded PDFs to my workspaces but I don't see any way to comment on them.
I saw a message somewhere on the Adobe support forum that said that people cannot edit PDFs online. I don't want to edit the PDF online; I just want them to be able to add notes to the PDF proxy that they see on Acrobat.com.
I have a PDF that a client sent me. I tried placing it into an Indesign CS5 file and posting that, but I couldn't add the file to a review. Why not?

At this time the Adobe Reader and Acrobat software is the intended and designed software for commenting on PDF files as part of the review process.
That merely makes Acobat.com a nice front end for viewing PDF files, not actually doing any collaborating with them. You should have called it buzzword.com instead.

SAPOsCol running but not working (shared memory not available)

Dear Forum,
We have just set new passwords for SAP AD users (incl SAPService<SID> and <SID>adm), after this restarted SAP instances and servers / clusters). Everything came up well and all services, incl SAPOsCol started up automatically with the new passwords.
Everything works fine - only this morning i wanted to have a look in ST06 and the program tells me "SAPOSCOL not running? (shared memory not available).
The service is running tho, would a restart of the service do any difference, and is there any possibility that a restart of the service on a live and running system would force a system restart? (i couldnt think of any, but I hate restarting services on a live running production system).
Would it be an option to stop/start the collector from ST06?

Shared Memory not available

Hi,
I'm using MaxDB Community Edition 7.6.06.10
Now the second customer has the error
-24700 Could not start DBM Server
-24832 Shared memory not available
-24744 Shared Memory from different platform Unknown (0x00) (expected WIN32, I386)
Both installations worked fine over several weeks/months.
What can I do?

Hi
I was given this fix by SAP Support.
In the directory X:\sapdb\data\wrk you will find two files SID.dbm.shm and SID.dbm.shi.
Rename these files to have a .old extension and restart your DBM session. These files will be recreated automatically.
This can be done while the database is online.

SAPOSCOLL not running...shared memory not available...!!!!

The saposcoll is always getting terminated with a error message "shared memory not available".We have tried all possible remedies but it was of no use, There is no version mismatch and and there is also one saposcoll service running on that host.The problem is coming after we have upgraded our system.
Please suggest me some suitable notes or any solution for it as it is a production server.

One of my Prodn appln server instance is not displaying the data in tcode OS06,
Even though other instances of app server was able to display;
Getting message : SAPOSCOL is not working(shared memory not available)

I suggest you to kindly go to OS level and restart the saposcol service and check if that works.

Check whether saposcol belongs to user 'root' and whether the authorizations are correct: -rwsr-x---
Because the values of saposcol must be visible for all R/3 systems/instances on a host, saposcol writes data in the shared memory segment with key 1002. This shared memory segment must not be changed (for example, by setting profile parameter ipc/shm_psize_1002). In all profiles, check whether the parameter ipc/shm_psize_1002 is set. If it is, this parameter must be removed from the profiles ---> Note 37537.

Still get 'Shared Folder Not Available'

Hi all. I posted a message around November 15, 2009 and never received any responses. See http://forums.linksysbycisco.com/linksys/board/message?board.id=Network_Magic&thread.id=1488   That was for my laptop and problem never resolved. Now I have a netbook, same problem. Both computers see the enabled folders on the desktop and I can access the folders on the laptop and netbook using Windows Explorer. I can also access the laptop and netbook folders from the desktop using Network Magic. But I can't access any desktop folders using Network Magic. I get the dreaded 'Shared Folder Not Available' message. I've checked out many threads here and through google search. I've made the recommended configuration changes to Norton Internet Security. I've disabled VPN software at the recommendation of the tech who installed the VPN. I've contacted Pure Networks and submitted a ticket--was given standard things to try--nothing worked.
Does anyone have something else to try? It seems a big waste to have spent $50 on software that doesn't work for my machines and whose technical support people don't seem to have a solution. Please don't respond that it must be a setting in Norton--I've tried changing everything recommended. Norton is one of the most commonly used firewalls and anti-virus programs around.   I'm sure other Norton users are successfully using NM. I will try contacting Pure Networks again. Maybe a different tech will have a solution.

I also understand that no one may have a better answer than what's already been posted in the forum. If the information I've provided isn't sufficient for a response, I guess I need to try Pure Networks support again.

Scan to pdf not available in Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard

I have Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard installed on a PC with Windows XP Pro. The scan to PDF feature is not available anywhere in the program but should be as far as I am informed. Does anyone know what to do? Thanks.

Do you have a scanner attached? Does it work in standard graphics packages? Is it set up with a Twain interface? CS5 print as PDF not available

I'm not an experienced or professional Illustrator user but have created several PDFs up until a couple of weeks ago with no problem.
Today I am trying to export or print to PDF and the PDF option has disappeared from both export and save dialogue boxes. The only option for printing is Adobe PostScript file (I have no printer connected). The option is not available in any of my AI files. I last printed 3 weeks ago and didn't have any problem. I don't believe I have made any fundamental changes to the Illustrator setup.
I'm using CS5 15.0.0 on a MacBook Pro running Lion OS 10.7.2.
I am sure it's an easy fix.
Any ideas much appreciated

I am not sure why this has happened now though I do now understand that this is a Mac 'issue'.
I've successflly created a PS file but none of the print options were available so I ended up with two A4 sized pages when I wanted two business cards with 5mm bleed.
Where can I change these settings?

Reader extended rights in interactive PDF not available on some computers

I created multiple interactive forms using Adobe Acrobat Pro X. Three of them seem to work fine, but the fourth is giving trouble. When opening the document, some people get the following message (it's translated from Dutch, so in English it might be slightly different):
"In this document Reader Extended rights for Adobe Reader are activated. The document is changed since it was created and the reader extended rights are not available anymore. Contact the author for the original version of the document."
I have Adobe Acrobat, so I tried to open the document on a different laptop with Adobe Reader 11.0.0 and Windows 8. I got the previous mentioned message, but other people opening the document with Adobe Reader 11.0.0. and Windows 8 don't. The problem is not the version of Adobe Reader or the Operating system, as not everyone with Reader 11 or Windows 8 has this problem. Furthermore, this problem does not exist for three of the four documents.
I tried deleting recreating the form and saving it again with 'Reader extended rights'. It keeps giving the same error. Why is this one document giving problems for only some of the users? Can anyone please help me?

OK, now my brain is really scrambled. I can rule out the problem of it being too old a version of reader, and probably a third party reader, because I checked on an older system we have here at work, and it has Adobe Reader 9 installed, and for some reason that is the only computer where the buttons do not appear. I can not figure out what would make that system so different from the rest to make that happen. Any one have any other ideas?

Can't "comment" on shared pdf that I downloaded from Blackboard?

We're supposed to highlight and insert text boxes on a pdf from Blackboard, and I can't even click on the buttons for those. They're faded. Please help soon!

If the document has not been Reader-enabled to allow commenting, then you normally won't be able to add comments. Reader 10 allows you to add sticky note and text highlight comments if the document doesn't have security settings that would restrict commenting. Previous versions of Reader required that the document be Reader-enabled, which is a process done using Acrobat or server-based software from Adobe.

Acrobat Pro X - Combine files to pdf not available in windows explorer

I recently upgraded to Acrobat Pro X. With my previous version I could select a group of files, right click and the pop-up menu would allow me to select to combine the files into a pdf. This feature is no longer available after installing Acrobat Pro X. I am using Windows 7 Professional x64. Did Acrobat fail to install properly or was this feature eliminated?

Create new album in Facebook while sharing is not available

Since upgrading iPhoto to 2.0 (531) disappeared function to create a new album in Facebook while sharing. There is no button "+" or "create new album" where I want to put them. I can choose between existing albums, one of them is album called "iOS Photos". It's not convinient, please get back this functionality.
iOS 7.0.3, iPad 4th Gen.
