Comments Update - No Longer Updating!!!

All new comments added to my iWeb blog are no longer showing up in iWeb... sure they appear on the blog itself, but not in iWeb, making it very difficult to keep a track of who's commenting on what.
Any ideas what's up?
The iWeb site in question is www.nokiacreative.com

Now have lost ALL comments from published pages and from iWeb pages.
Somewhere in the process of republishing all of my wife's site, we lost every single comment on all blog entries. Even pages that didn't previously have a problem! Before doing the republish, I took note of 10 different entries some had updated from dotMac to iWeb and some had not. After the republish, ALL comments on all 10 of those entries were irretrievably missing from both the docMAC pages and iWeb's domain database.
I went back to my own site ... now also missing all of the blog entry comments on both sides. This means that this "fix" .... only made our situation worse!
Since republishing, new comments added to our blogs are once again NOT showing up on iWeb ... despite repeated attempts to "Check for New Comments".
As noted earlier, I use a personal domain but my wife does not. We both have separate dotMac accounts (technically, a family-pack master and a supplemental account).

  • Software Update No Longer Updates

In the last month or so I noticed SOFTWARE UPDATE no longer updates my iMac. I noticed this when I tried to update my OSX to 10.4.8 from 10.4.7. It manages to check for new software, the progress bar completes and everything seems OK with the computer. I even deleted the SU prefs but it still says "SU doesn't have any new software for your computer at this time" even though I know I can update a whole new bunch of stuff. Manually installing 10.4.8 doesn't work either. Am i gonna have to archive and re-install to get SU and manual installations to work again? I ran Disk Utility, repaired permissions and all is clear.
    Anybody else having problems here?

Reset Ignored Updates is on the Software Update menu i.e. just right of the  Apple Menu.
Again if you don't have any joy then I suggest using Pacifist and your OS X install disc to re-install just Software Update.
As SU seems to be having issues then replacing it should be the easy answer.
    kind regards

  • Shared variable no longer updates

    All,
I have an RT Systems 2011 and have been using shared variables between the RT and Host. Working for months. Then I renamed a shared variable and it no longer updates. When I try to look at the variable in the NI Distributed System Manager, it reports that it does not exist.
I changed the name back to what it was, it is seen by the System Manager but the current value is not displayed.
I did a remote debug into the RT code and the variable is being updated.
    Any ideas\comments\etc would be appreciated?
    Thanks

What hardware are you using as your real-time target? When you mentioned that you are using "RT Systems 2011", are you using LabVIEW 2011 and the Real-Time Module?
After you updated the shared variable, did you re-deploy it? I highly recommend reading through the “Deployment and Hosting” section of the DeveloperZone Tutorial linked below:

  • Error message: "playlists selected for updating no longer exist"

I tried to update my ipod nano and I guess I had deleted a playlist, but since then, I have not been able to update. Every time I try, I get the following message:
"Cannot be updated because all of the playlists selected for updating no longer exist."
I haven't been able to highlight which playlists are selected to begin with.
I read through the manual and thought that maybe rebooting the whole system might work. So I deleted Itunes from my computer and re-installed.
Then I tried re-setting my ipod. So now I have nothing on my ipod.
I also deleted everything from my library, thinking it might help to start from scratch. Nothing has worked.
How do I "select" and "unselect" playlists so I can get up and running again?

    Here you go.

  • Lost music on ipod because "playlists selected for updating no longer exist

Not sure what I've done. I recently downloaded newer version of itunes. Then when synching, I had too much music in my library for the ipod to handle so it told me about doing the smart playlist. I erased a couple of playlists on the itunes menu I no longer wanted and then when I went to synch, this error came up "songs on the ipod cannot be updated because all of the playlists selected for updating no longer exist."
    Please help.....

  • "All of the Playlists Selected for Updating No Longer Exist"

My family has 2 ipod shuffles. After purchasing a Nano recently, I inserted the cd that came with it. Apparently the existing iTunes software was removed and reinstalled. At any rate, the library still shows all the original songs, but when the Nano is plugged in, iTunes immediately gives a prompt stating "Songs on the iPod *** cannot be updated because all of the playlists selected for updating no longer exist." The library is there, the playlists that were there are there, and I can play the songs on my cpu. Is there anything I can do besides completely uninstalling everything and starting over?

  • "All of the playlists for updating no longer exist"???!!

I created a few new playlists and deleted an old one in iTunes, and then when I plugged in my mini to update I get the message:
Songs on the iPod “Kellee's iPod” cannot be updated because all of the playlists for updating no longer exist"
There are no songs in my mini after this msg. I reset it, tried to update again, but got the same msg. Please help!!

    Hi Kellee!
Why do people delete playlists?? Seems like you have the same problem someone I tried to help has. She got the exact same error message when she deleted a playlist. If I were you I would have shifted some songs around, changed the name of the playlist to something else but NOT deleted the playlist. I don't think you can get the same playlist back once you delete it. Question is why is your iPod not recognizing your new playlists and it's requesting to update the playlist you already deleted?? I'm afraid I can't help you but maybe someone else can. I just wanted to say this.

    hi lenore_phila!
if it's just itunes that isn't recognising the ipod, try:
iPod for Windows: Fast user switching in Windows XP is not supported
iPod appears in Windows Explorer but does not appear in iTunes
... but if Windows Explorer isn't seeing it either, try:

  • IPod no longer updates smart playlists after upgrade to 1.3

After upgrading my 5th Gen 30GB iPod to 1.3 I noticed immediately that the smart playlists on my iPod aren't updating any longer. Until 3 days ago my iPod had firmware version 1.2.1 and all smart playlists worked as expected.
I have many smart playlists that I have been happily using everyday for the past 2 years to play only new podcasts, shuffle my favorite tunes based on when they have been played last, and move songs in and out of My Top rated tunes based on their ratings. These no longer work on my iPod, but when I sync with iTunes they update fine. I didn't make any changes to my smart playlists before or immediately after upgrading, at least until I noticed the problem.
For the last couple of days since upgrading I have tried deleting all my smart playlists and recreating them, that didn't help. I have also tried restoring my iPod, which also didn't help. I have also tried creating a very basic smart playlist i.e.
Match all of the following rules - checked
    Rating is ***
    Live updating - checked
Sync'd that to my iPod and started playing a tune and changed it's rating to 5 stars. I then entered a static playlist, played a song from that and when it was done entered the new 5 star rating smart playlist and it wasn't updated.
I'm don't know what else to try, I've repeated the same test as above on my wife's 2nd Gen nano and it worked as expected. Has anyone else noticed smart playlists failing to update since the upgrade? I have searched here and on google, but only found reference to much older firmwares.

I'm having the same problem, once I've listened to a song in my 0 plays list, go out to a new menu, then back in, all the songs that have been played are still there, when a few weeks ago they were taken off and only unplayed songs were still there. Now if I switch to another playlist and back, I have to scroll all the way back to the point I was when I changed which didn't happen earlier.

  • When I "like" a song via Ping in iTunes, it no longer updates in my recent activity - any ideas why, or how to fix?

Done all the normal updates - iOS5, iTunes 10.5, etc.
As of the middle of June, every time I "like" a song via Ping in iTunes, it no longer updates in my Recent Activity tab in Ping.  Any ideas why, or how I can resolve?

I don't have a solution, but this is also happening to me.  I have contacted iTunes Support but they have been less than useful.  Hopefully someone will have a solution and post here.
