Commissionaire model in SAP

Could somebody throw some light on how one would go about incorporating the Commissionaire Model using SAP? How is the enterprise structure defined? How the inter company transactions take place? What is the Sales Org set up?
Please share some documents or links regarding the same
Thanks and regards

  • The Commissionaire Model (aka the 3-tier  Model)

    Hi Guys !
Commissionaire model is commonly followed by companies in Europe to get tax advantage.  In this model there is one company code(the Principal) which owns all inventory and records all sales and revenues whereas the Commissionaire company codes in different European countries face the customer and act on behalf of the Principal.  The customer only sees and deals with the Commissionaire(the principal is invisible to the customer).  At the end of the month, the Principal company code pays out a commission to the commissionaire company codes based on the sales made in their country.
If anybody has worked with this model, I would like to talk to you ! I'm looking for the R/3 org structure in such a model and the logistic and financial document flow.
I'm also looking for some reference SAP customers who have implemented this model.
You can call me at 610-653-6627.  It is urgent !!
Thanks for your help in advance

    Hi Mohammed
We have such a scenario and below are some guidelines
    - use of plants aborad functionality
    - one face to customer functionality
    - single point of invoice model
These are the functionalities to be used and you need to have many sales order types for this
    Thanks

  • Issue while creating Virtual provider based on HANA Model in SAP BI

    Dear Experts,
I try to create a Virtual Provider based on HANA Model. However receive below error "Unable to find SAP HANA information model".
I tried to assign the appropriate package and HANA model while creation of Virtual provider in SAP BI using RSA1 Transaction.
Do I need to enable any services/ settings, so that I can able to use HANA Models in SAP BI?
Do I required any specific authorizations either from BI or HANA side?
Could some one kindly help to resolve this issue.
    Thanks,
    Khader

    Hi Srinivasan,
    Thank you for your response.
I have already gone through the content provided via above links.
However I face issue while activating the virutual provider with warning message"Unable to find SAP HANA information model". Due to which I am not able to see any data from Virtual Provider in BW.
Do we need to have any special access/ role in BW or HANA system in order to consume HANA models in BW (Vitual Provider in this case)?
I am trying to consume HANA Models in BW for the first time.
So any more clues can be helpful.
    Thanks,

  • Collection of reference workflow models in SAP R/3 for research

    Hi,
within SAP R/3 (at least in version 4.6c) there must be a collection of reference workflow models modeled as EPCs that can be exported e.g. with ARIS Toolset for SAP NetWeaver. These models were used for some research about process metrics in the past (e.g. by Jan Mendling [1]).
For own research purposes, I am interested in these models. But the university I'm working with, has no SAP R/3 installation.
Is there a possibility to get these reference workflow models by SAP (of course strictly for research purposes)? I already sent an e-mail to SAP but haven't got any "fitting" answers - probably because my question did not rearch the right person for my problem.
Maybe, a SAP employee working in this area reads this message and can help me.
    Thanks in advance!

Thereu2019s no great secret that I have ever heard of...  there is  a central transaction SWDM (Business Workflow Explorer) in any ABAP system where you can access all of the workflows of that system using a search range e.g. by entering the appropriate application component.
From here you can display any workflow you have found using the context menu option (i.e. right click and choose display).
When viewing a workflow in the workflow builder, you can use the menu option Extras > Options > Display of Graphical Modelling View to swap to the Classic Event Driven Process Chains view.
Your best bet for transporting it is probably to use the Print... option in the menu then adjust the Output Options... to output it as a file and pick the file type you want to use.
Thereu2019s an X ML export option as well, but I suspect itu2019s just the image that you need.

  • R/3 Reference model for SAP IS-U

    Hi,
I was wondering how I can obtain the Business Process Master List and the R/3 reference model for SAP IS-U. Are these available in the public domain, or can someone sent these to me?
I'm also interested in the link with the Business Process Master List to the pre-written Business Process Procedures (BPPs), detailed end-user documentation for R/3 transactions.
    TIA,
    Christiaan

IS-U data model has been divided into 2 parts.
    1) Business Master Data
    2) Technical Master Data
    Business Master Data will have
    a) Business partner
    b) Contract Account
    c) Contract
    Technical Master Data
    a)Connection Object
    b)Premise
    c)Installation.
    Example :
One Business Partner  will have multiple Contract Accounts
One Contract Account  will have multiple Contracts( ex: Gas contract or Electricity contract or water contract)
One contract will have one installation
One Connection Object will have multiple Premises.
One Premise will have will have multiple installations

  • Creating Logic and modeling for SAP BW datasource in SAP HANA views and SLT

    Hi to all,
    I have small question.
We have BW system and SAP ECC as source system and to get data from SAP ECC source system we are using SAP ECC Standard data source.
Now we required to, create modeling in SAP HANA by use of HANA View and get data from SAP ECC source table via SLT.
So we can replicate same modeling,as we done in SAP BW system.
But  my question is that, as SAP ECC standard data source hit multiple table and do run-time calculation, before sending to SAP BI.
How we can derives such calculation and logic, in our HANA studio, because as we know in SLT data transformation can be done in limited way also
in view we can not drive such logic via SQL script ?.
Is there any way we can do such modeling and logic in SAP HANA ?
    or
is there any standard document for this type of case, which we can use ?
Note: We don't want to use SAP DS or DXC for data loading to HANA, as  we want it in more real time.
    Regards
    Pavneet Rana

    Thanks for reply,
As SLT is based on ABAP, so we can write complex logic in it.
But if we talk about SAP ECC standard data source, they have complex logic, based on multiple table.
So we need to write code from scratch in SLT to derive same result. but it will be huge time consuming , and required good ABAP skills, also it will lead to bug in code.
Also it will reduce the real time performance of SLT, due to complex logic.
Second option is procedure via SQL script, which is again huge effort in term if logic and can lead to error/bug in logic.
Does we have any other way or architecture to do this is very simple way, with high performance and less error issue.

    Hi Patrick ,
What user did you use to start JSPM? Was it <sid>adm? Also based on the error it seems there is something wrong with DataModel.xml JSPM uses. And you've mentioned it was copied from another system if I get it right.
So as a quick workaround you could try removing:
    - Jspm.DataModel.xml
    - Jspm.J2EE.DataModel.xml
    - Jspm.JSPM.DataModel.xml
from ../j2ee/JSPM/data/variables directory and give JSPM another try.
Please make sure the rest of the XMLs are in place otherwise JSPM won't start.

  • PMML model in SAP. Is that possible?

To the gurus and SAP analysts,
Does APO (or BW or ECC6.0 for that matter) read/udnerstand data mining models written in PMML?
I know it's a weird question but if that's possible it would open a whole range of possibilities in terms of advanced data models within SAP and it's modules.
    Thanks in advance.
    Rodrigo

    Hi!
PMML is basically the de facto standard to represent predictive models and data transformations. See intro below:
PMML (Predictive Model Markup Language) provides a standard way to represent data mining models so that these can be shared between different statistical applications. Not only PMML can represent a wide range of statistical techniques, but it can also be used to represent the data transformations necessary to transform your raw data into meaningful feature detectors. In this way, PMML offers a standard to represent data manipulation and modeling in a single and concise way.
For more on PMML, please take a look at the [PMML knol|http://knol.google.com/k/pmml].

  • Enabling Journals in a Model in SAP BPC 10.0 MS

    Hi,
Where does one enable journals functionality in SAP BPC 10.0 MS?
    Here's the background:
I created a new Environment from EnvironmentShell
Worked on dimensions, member sheets etc. in the Consolidation Model
In the SAP Web Administration, Consolidation Monitor, I get the error Initialization Failed when clicking on the Journal item in the TreeView on the left. Clicking on the See Details, I get the error JOURNAL_NOT_ENABLED.
In the Planning and Consolidation Administration Client, I get a similar error when clicking on Define Journal Validation Rules or Define Journal Translation Rules. (Journal in not enabled in Consolidation)
I then thought I would be clever and modified the column 'Journal' in the table dbo.tblApp by putting a '1' there.
Refreshing the Planning and Consolidation Administration Client, I see that for the Consolidation Model, the Journals are specified as 'in use'. However, returning to the SAP Web Administration and clicking on the Journal option, the error I now get is 'Invalid object name dbo.jrnAddedItems', probably because my backdoor hack circumvented some code.
Where does one enable journals in a Model on the MS 10.0 platform? For the life of me, I can't find it. This despite much searching. Clearly I am missing something obvious.
    Kind Regards
    Nick

    Hi Arnold,
Thanks. Yip, that's it. (I knew I was missing something remarkably obvious - it's just that I could not find it for some strange reason.)
    Again, many thanks.
    Kind Regards

  • Best approach-several infotypes requested to be extracted/modeled in SAP BI

    Hello Gurus!
The business wants to pull the data from about 150 HR infotypes (including 9-series) into SAP BI. The requirement has been blessed and it is a go (maybe the total number might increase over 150 but not decrease)!! The main premise behind such a requirement is to be able to create ad-hoc reports from BI (relatively quickly) on these tables.
Now, has anyone of you heard of such a requirement - if so, what is 'best practice' here? Do we just blindly keep modeling/creating 150 DSOs' in BI or is there a better way to do this? Can we atleast reduce the work load of creating models for all these infotypes, somehow? (maybe create views, etc.?)
Any kind of response is appreciated. Thank you in advance. Points await sensible responses.
    Regards,
    Pranav.

Personally, I'd say the best approach for this would be not to extract the Infotypes at all and use Crystal Reports to generate ad-hoc queries directly against the Infotypes in your R3/ECC environment. This would eliminate the need to extract and maintain all of that data in BW and unless you have SAP Business Objects Enterprise installed on top of SAP BW, "relatively quick" ad-hoc queries in BW is not what I would call a common theme (BEx Analyzer, which is what I'm assuming is your reporting UI solution for this, isn't exactly user-friendly).
If you must bring all of these Infotypes in SAP BW, creating views of Infotype data may be your best bet. It would definitely reduce the number of repositories on your BW environment, thereby reducing your maintenance time and costs.

  • BO authorization model with sap roles / access tot folders, functionalities

    Hi Specialists,
As authorization cunsultant in BI, I have little knowledge of the security setup in Business Objects.
I have to setup an authorization model were the authorizations are assigned via sap roles in the backend BI system. These roles are imported in BO were they can serv as 'user groups' and access to folders, functionalities.
Can anyone provide me a overview, guide, training document... on how the authorizations are managed in BO and best practice when they are linked to sap backend roles.
The goal will be to user the sap BI backend roles and user them to grant users in BO specific access to specific folders. Eg; User A can access folders 1 as "refresher only", User B is able to publish reports in folder 2, User C has only view access in folder 2...
    Any help would be great!
    Thanks very much in advance.
    rgrds
    Kristof

    Hello,
this is the best approach you mentioned here.
I prefer to create roles serverd as functionalities in the Backend. For Example you have a "View" role, a "Refresh" role and so on.
On the other hand i saw some setups where there is only on role in the Backend with all the BO Users. Then you have to create you functional groups in BO and have to assign the Users there to the Groups.
Check the Adminguide of BO XI 3.1 for more Informations.

  • Business Process Modeling in SAP Solution Manager

    Hi.
Even ther an Solution Manager space, i wish to get some opinion related to Business process Modeling.
We are working in an upgrade project. R/3 4.6 C to ECC 6.0. The customer decide to use Solution manager to map their process, based on the transactions of the new version.
    Company Business Process:
    1.Based on ISO standards.
    2.By product line
3.The process are defined using an structure with 4 Levels: Macro Process, Business scenarios, Business Process and Steps/activities.
There are 2 possibilities to map the process into the Sap Solution Manager:
    1. Map the process by component.
    - Single Project
-It means to make a list of all sap components with their process without mattering the business process.
-Each product line can be a variant for an specific process. e.g: Sales by line
    2. Map the process as ISO Standards
    - Several projects : For each product line
Which cold be the better option in order to:
    - Easy configuration activities
    - Easy design of Unit and integration test
    - Easy activities of Process enhancement and optimization
    Theres another option?
    Thanks
    Alvaro Hernán Rojas R

Hi Alvaro Hernán Rojas R ,
The product line is the hierarchy of the finished goods.
It is pertinent that the finished goods has emerged due to some process(es) carried on the raw material.
Thus logically you should map in solution manager based on the process only.
The macro process while depicts the processes at the highest level. The Business scenarios, Business Process gives a good idea about how you should go about configuring. The Steps/activities helps you to map in to SAP thro' T/Codes.
From the point of view of all of the below three, namely,
    Easy configuration activities
Easy design of Unit and integration test
Easy activities of Process enhancement and optimization,
the option   Map the process as ISO Standards
    - Several projects : For each product line, will be most ideal.
It is the processes that drives the activities. The control activities like internal control etc are all process based.Given these, divorcing the business process from the configuration -as in -is certainly not a good practice.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Ramesh
