  • Expense Account on TM system - Commitment Item on FILO system

    Hello.
I am involved in TM-related project.
Currently the following system landscape is applied:
    FILO system including Funds Management
    separate HR system including TM.
    Issue:
We need commitments to be posted in FILO system, when Travel Request is created in HR system.
Currently there is a problem with Commitment Item derivation. Funds and Funds Centers are derived correctly, but CI derivation always returns '9503 - no budget',  however, there are certain CIs which must be derived instead of 9503.
Required assignment is configured on HR system: Estimated Costs - Wage Type - Symbolic account - Expense Account
Required FM Master Data and derivation strategy is configured in FILO system
It seems to me that GL account data is not transferred correctly to FILO system for derivation.
    Questions:
What are the means of travel request data transfer between TM and FM on different systems (objects, ALE)? What I must check?
Should I repeat configuration of Estimated Costs - Wage Type - Symbolic account - Expense Account on FILO system?
Do you have any other advices?
    Thank you.

  • Commitment Items and Cash management in Projects

    Hi Gurus,
Please tell me how can i do the cash management project wise. What needs to be configure and what is the business process???
How can we do cost planning and budgeting in projects???
    Please revert asap.
    Thank You

    Hi,
The coffiguration steps for Cash Management are as follows:
    1  Maintain FM Area
2 Assign company code to FM Area:
3 Activate Project Cash Management in company code:
4 Create and Assign Commitment Items
5 Check Assignment of G/L Account / Commitment Item
There are 6 types of SAP cost planning functions available to Project System.
    •     Hierarchical Cost Planning
    •     Unit Costing
    •     Detailed Planning
    •     Easy Cost planning
    •     Network Costing
    •     Assigned Order Planned Costs
In Hierarchical Cost Planning , planned costs are maintained for each WBS element in CJ40 transaction.
WBS Budgeting allocates the overall cost estimates to individual work items so a baseline can be set to measure project performance and control spending. In other words , budget is approved planned costs.
Budgeting can be done thru T Code CJ30 .
    I hope this helps you.
    Reward points if useful.

  • Error in Posting Service Entry Sheet - FI 311 No Commitment Item in Item 1

    Dear All,
We need a suggestion/solution for the following problem :-
Our customer had raised purchase orders for services in may 2010. The following critical entries were made in the purchase order.
    Account Assignment Category was P-Project
The WBS element was entered as the Accounts Assigment Category was P.
The user was entering uncoded services. Hence the material group for that service which had G/L a/c tagged to it was entered. But the G/l code was not populated in the purchase order by the system at that time of creation of purchase order and subsequently the user was able to save and release purchase order.
The user was able to post Service Entry Sheet and generate accounting entries in june 2010.
Additional service entry sheets are required to be posted for the remaining quantites. The client has urcated the SES process into two parts.
    1. Through T-code ZML81N the end user is able to create and save the SES.
    2. Through T-code ML81N the Head of Department is able to approve and post the SES which results in generating of accounting entries.
Presently the user is able to create SES with tcode ZML81N. But when the HOD tries to approve and post the ses we get the error.
FI 311 - No commitement item maintained in Item 0001 in P220 (company code).
Fund Management is active in this company code and all settings related to Funds Management and FI have been checked by respective consultants.
The end user is not having any problems in processing SES for current Pos. But he is not able to create SES for the POs created in May, 2010 for which the user has already created and posted more than one SES against the same POs.
We have already escalated it to SAP.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Use T.code:FS00 and check G/L account 280000 is there in your company code or not.
    If yes, check its nature(type/description,control data , cretae bank/intererst tabs)of G/L
NOTE: Also check and compare the field selection between Movement type 101 & your G/L account 280000 in SE38 t.code with  Program RM07CUFA

  • Commitment Item Error in MB1C

    Dear Guru,

    Error is:
No commitment item entered in item 00000 1000 399999
    Please help,

The posted document contains at least one company code in which Funds Management, Cash Budget Management, or Project Cash Management is active. Therefore you must enter a commitment item in all involved company codes.
    Procedure
         Enter a commitment item.
If you cannot enter a commitment item, check with your system administrator that your account assignment derivation is adjusted so that the system can automatically derive a commitment item from another  account assignment, or from the G/L or cost element.
If you are practicing in the IDES system and dont have an idea about this commitment item ,
you can go to OKKP & deactivate commitment management there in activate components.

  • Commitment Item error in Stock transport order

    Hi all
I have a stock transport order (STO) for a material non valuated in both sending and receiving plants.
While creation , there is an error with respect to completion of an "committment item" *.
If I input  the committment item in  STO create transaction in R3 , the STO is  saved  (permitting blank account assignment for the STO item  as intended)  and there is no further issue till post goods issue in sending plant or GR in receiving plant.
The problem is however that this STO is triggered from APO and transferred via CIF to R3 while there is no chance to input the commitment item. This results into a CIF error with the STO not created  in both R3 and APO.
Is there a way I could bypass this "committment stuff" in this situation?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Did you try using derivation rule using FMDERIVE in case funds management is active.
Please also refer to the link below which guides on the item category to be assigned in Commitment item.

  • PSM- No commitment item entered

    Hello,
I customized the FMDERIVE with derivation rules that include: cost center = Fund Center; cost element = commitment item and completed the tables with the equivalences.
Then I entered budget for the cost centers anda cost element include in the tables of FMDERIVE.
When I trying to post a FI document and use an account that is not include in FMDERIVE the system try to find a derivation rule and gives me the following error:

There are a way of doing that?
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi,
Go to FMDERIVE, enter the test mode and activate the trace. The, try posting again your document; you will enter the FMDERIVE transaction and see whether your rules have been activated or not.

    Hi Deepa
Suppose when you post a document rs 5000 and you post the budget on that GL 4000, then system not post the document and give the errro Budget is exceed something.
In that case you check in SPRO -Public sector management -Fund management goverment -Actual & commitment update - integration - Active& deactive fund management
Here you check out fund management is active or deactive. If deactive then system not given the message  budget exceddand not update the budget report.

  • Assignment of Commitment items to G/L Accounts

    Hi to All,
My name is samad farooq , currently we are have upgrade our system from version 4.6C to ECC 6.0.
In 4.6C, we maintained assignment of G/L Accounts to Commitment Item via transaction code FS00.
Now same has been maintained in ECC6.0 but it gives error no commitment item found for processing.
We can maintain using the derivation strategy (FMDERIVE), but as we have upgraded, is there any way to automatically system derive the commitment without mention all the data again by using the derivation strategy.
    Thanking you all in Advance.
    Samad Farooq

    Hello,
commitment items are essential for the update into the Project Cash Management as the financial transaction which is maintained for the commitment items is used to identify the type of the posting (e.g. invoice, payment, etc). Further informations about the correct customizing of commitment items can be found in note 144169.
The assignment of commitment items to the value categories is similar to the assignment of cost elements or cost element groups to value categories and is needed for the proper update of the data from the Project Cash Management into the Project Information Database (table RPSCO). The Project Information Database is the basis for hierarchy reports. So in case that this customizing isn't done, values from the Project Cash Management might not be shown or might be shown incorrectly in the hierarchy reports (e.g. 31CASH, 31FIM, 31FIMA, 31FIMB).
Assigning one commitment item to all value categories can be done. It is depending how detailed your reporting should be, but from point of the reporting it won't make sense to mix for example commitment items for outgoing payments with commitment items for incoming payments.
    Kind regards,
    Dirk

  • Fund Center & Commitment Item

What is the difference between Funds Center and Commitment Item ?
    Thank you
    Ravi

    HI
    <b>Commitment Item:</b>
Commitment items represent the functional grouping of an organization within a financial management area (FM area). Commitment items classify budget transactions and business transactions affecting liquidity into revenue, expenditure, and cash balance items. You can assign budget for particular responsibility areas (funds centers) to the commitment items. Budget is used up as postings commitment items and funds centers with commitment and actual values. Funds reservations and business transactions entered in the feeder systems also affect the budget.
    <b>Fund Center</b>
Organizational unit within an FM area which represents the structure of an organization (areas of responsibility, departments, projects) in the form of a hierarchy. You can assign budget to funds centers in Funds Management. Budget is used up as postings are made to funds centers with commitment and actual values. Budget is even consumed in Funds management through a reservation of funds or by business transactions entered in the feeder systems of Funds Management (such as financial accounting, materials management).Funds centers in Funds Management are arranged in hierarchies. You can define only one funds center hierarchy per FM area. There is only one top funds center in a funds center hierarchy. Every other funds center has exactly one superior funds center. A superior funds center is defined in the master record of a funds center.

  • Commitment Items for Multiple services in Service PO

    Hi,
We have created a service master for all the services used in a project. FM is activated. Every service has 1:1 relation with commitment items.
Even after table look up & derivation, system was not picking up correct commitment item in service PO. We have used some exits & BADI's, Now system checks picks the correct commitment item stored in FMDERIVE against the service master.
The issue is, the moment I have multiple service masters in a single service PO with two separate comm. Item.  System picks up the commitment item of only for line item 0010 & posts both the entries against one comm. item.
Let me know how system can pick up individual commt items.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ajay

    Hi Ajay,
I believe that there is one standard solution for what you developed. Let me explain better.
Please check your table FM01X. You can enable one these flags in table FM01X, depending on your business needs:
FLG_PO_PROTECT if you want to always inherit the fm account assignment from the reference PO and therefore skip FMDERIVE
FLG_FMDERIVE_FORCE if you always want to force a call to fmderive in all cases
FLG_SES_OVERWRITE in services, if you wish to overwrite the account assignment from the SES with the derived values from FMDERIVE.
You can find more information in note 1146677 and 923672. Please review the information of the notes and run the programs
    according your needs.
FMDERIVE is skipped for GR/IR lines and the Commitment item is inherited from the PO regardless of whether or not the GR/IR line is FM relevant. This is SAP standard behavior.
If you want to force the Commitment item to be derived from the GL account for the GR/IR line, you can use the FLG_FMDERIVE_FORCE flag as described in note 923672.  This will allow FMDERIVE to be called for these lines.  Please be sure to fully test this to ensure that FM account assignments that you do not want to be overwritten are
    not incorrectly derived.
Bear in mind that for PO´s that does not have account assignment you should run FMCN/FMCT + FMN4N. For this you would need to check the flags and which one is more related to your needs. With the appropriate flag marked in FM01X (active with X) you should be able to run the transactions without any issue.
Based on note 189761, after doing all the previous suggestions and the issue does not appear anymore, I suggest you to run the programs described in the note.
I believe that this will help you.
    Best Regards,
    Vanessa.

  • No commitment Item Update while creation of Sales order

    hi,
    I have  maintained Derivation Rule
    Co Code / GL/ BA/ Plant / S Loc/ = Fund / Comitement / Fund Center.
Stil in that case at the time of creation of Sales order, systeme is giving error (++No commitment Item Update M V2225++)
And also i have maintained the Comitement Item in GL master.
Could you give me some solution.
    Thanks
    Nilesh R

    Hi Nilesh R,
Please check the following information of Consulting Note 1268001 (the same for funds center is valid to commitment item):
    1.  You receive the error message in a Sales Order (SD) process.
       a) SD customizing settings for FM objects.
You can set "commitment item" as an optional entry in SD customizing settings for field status. This can be checked in the IMG path: SPRO -> Public Sector Management -> Funds Management Government-> Actual and Commitment Update/Integration -> Integration ->
Maintain Field Status for Assigning FM Account Assignments
You should have a record with Object type = '04' (sales order).
It is not necessary to have the field as required (unless you want to insert it in the origin process) due to the fact that
this can avoid the account assignment derivation between CO objects and FM objects. The field can not be hidden otherwise it will be not derived.
For more information, check note 572729.
The system response depends on how you defined the fields of the FM dialog box using Customizing activity 'Maintain Field Status for Assigning FM Account Assignments':
         -  The fields of the FM dialog box are defined as ready for input ('Opt. entry' or 'Req. entry') in Customizing:
If you change the reference object in the sales order, the system does not re-derive FM data automatically. For that, you
must navigate to the FM dialog box and, by choosing icon 'Redetermine account (F5)', trigger the derivation manually.
         -   The fields of the FM dialog box are defined as not changeable ('Display') in Customizing:
If the reference object is changed in the order, FM data is redetermined automatically.
         -  The fields of the FM dialog box are defined as not displayable ('Hide') in Customizing:
             FM data is not determined.
Therefore, set the field status to optional permit the user to enter the FM objects manually and still benefit from the possibility to
automatically derive the FM objects from a CO object.
For more information on integrating Plant Maintenance, Sales and Distribution and Project System, see the SAP Library Accounting -> Public Sector Management -> Funds Management -> Actual and Commitment Update -> Integration with Plant Maintenance, Integration with Sales and Distribution and Integration with Project System (Network).
You can also check the documentation available in the IMG menu of the status (written above).
       b) If you do not want to integrate sales order process within PSM-FM, you should consider to deactivate this integration in
customizing transaction OFUP. In release EA-PS 1.10 and 2.00 modification note 591573 is available.
Please also check consulting note 1267998 and let me know if you have used FMDERIVE trace tool.
If you want to have SD integrated to FM, please check if in OFUP the flag of this integration is accordingly set.
If you work with free-of-charge sales order line items mixed with line items having value, please consider to apply note 1441847 (if it is valid to your current release/package).
I hope this answer your inquiry.
    Best Regards,
    Vanessa Barth.

  • FMMPRELE - have error - FMKU135: The commitment item category is wrong

    Hello,
In current project we use BCS and SAP ECC 6.0.
We also use auto-release function in FMBB when entering budget documents (plan).
I want to reduce the plan value and use FMMPRELE transaction for it. In message log i have the following error:
The commitment item category is wrong
    Message no. FMKU135
    Diagnosis
The commitment item category entered is not correct.
    Procedure
Check how the commitment item category is filled by your application. Notify your system administrator in case of problems.
The commitment item category (FMCIA) is 3 - Expenditures. I don't know why SAP doesn't like this commitment item category because this category is selected in "selection of FM Account Assignments". Have any the same problems with FMMPRELE?

    Thank's a lot
