Hi Gurus,
Please tell me how can i do the cash management project wise. What needs to be configure and what is the business process???
How can we do cost planning and budgeting in projects???

The coffiguration steps for Cash Management are as follows:
1  Maintain FM Area
2 Assign company code to FM Area:
3 Activate Project Cash Management in company code:
4 Create and Assign Commitment Items
5 Check Assignment of G/L Account / Commitment Item
There are 6 types of SAP cost planning functions available to Project System.
•     Hierarchical Cost Planning
•     Unit Costing
•     Detailed Planning
•     Easy Cost planning
•     Network Costing
•     Assigned Order Planned Costs
In Hierarchical Cost Planning , planned costs are maintained for each WBS element in CJ40 transaction.
WBS Budgeting allocates the overall cost estimates to individual work items so a baseline can be set to measure project performance and control spending. In other words , budget is approved planned costs.
Budgeting can be done thru T Code CJ30 .

  • Acrobat 9 crashes MS Office 2010, Firefox, and Cash Manager

    On a new 64 bit coMputer with Windows 7, I installed a new MS Office 2010, installed Chrome and Firefox, and reinstalled Acrobat 9 and an accounting program called Cash Manager that were on my old 32 bitcomputer. I also copied all my data files from the old to the new computer. Now when trying to print form MS Office programs and Firefox and Cash Manager to pdf using Acrobat 9, MS Office, Firefox and Cash Manager crash, and Acrobat sits waiting with the progress bar stalled at about 10%. I can print to pdf from Pegasus and Chrome. After trying to fix the problem using remote access, the Adobe help desk finally told me the problem is caused by an incompatability between Acrobat 9 and Firefox and MS 2010, but I am using the same version of Firefox and Cash Manager as before. The only new programs are those in the MS Home and Office suite.

    What is the version of Acrobat, firefox and chrome installed on your machine and is the offce 2010 32 bit or 64 bit???
    Check entries in Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Event Viewer->Windows Logs->Application for any information you can find about the crash.
    Also you can try repairing your Acrobat from Control Panel->Programs and see if things work fine???

  • How to derive commitment item and fund center when create PR from MRP.

    Dear Experts,
    No commitment item and fund center are derived when I create PR from MRP. I have to run transaction fm_mrp_pr to derive commitment item and fund center. However, I want to derive FM assignments during creating PR through transaction MD04. I plan to use user-exit to derive FM assignment while PR is creating from MRP. Which FM bapi, functions,etc... can I use in user-exit to derive FM assignment? Do you have an idea?

    Please check if note 1247722 and 1127135 are applied in your system. If not, kindly apply it and retest your issue. It should resolve it.

  • F.05 doubt in Open Item and balance managed

    Hi,
    I noticed that we have the option to valuate open items and G/L balances for the same account number's in F.05
    If suppose, an open item managed account was entered and checked in both places (Open item and G/L balances), will the system do both? Since it can also take the balance of the account and give the difference or if SAP actually checks whether the option of open item managment is ticked in FS00 and decide to valuate it as open item.?

    Hi!
    If open item management is selected in G/L Master, SAP valuate open item only. It won't do both valuations.You can verify the same with F.05. If u selected open item management, and in F.05 u want to valuate account balance for the same GL, SAP won't valuate.

    T code : CJCF - Carry Forward Commitment
    Parameters: - Carrying Forward Commitments
    To carry forward a commitment to the first period of the following fiscal year, proceed as follows:
    Choose Accounting ® Controlling ® Cost Center Accounting ® Year-end closing ® Commitment carried forward.
    Enter the relevant cost center(s).
    Select or deselect the following indicators:
    Test run
    If you select Test run, the system carried forward the commitment, but does not update the results.
    Detail lists
    If you activate Detail list, the system displays the results of the commitment carried forward. The results list shows which values were carried forward.
    You should activate the Detail list together with the Test run. This ensures that you can check the results of the test run.
    Reversal
    The Reversal indicator controls whether data that has already been carried forward should be reversed again or not.
    If you have large amounts of data to process, it is advisable to execute the commitment carry-forward using background processing. This means you can process data at times of minimal system usage.
    Choose Program Execute in background.

    The reports on year-end closing give you an overview of the closing operations (commitment carryforward and budget carryforward) with fiscal year change.
    The reports display totals records. A comparison of the line items transferred to the new fiscal year with the totals is possible using the program (RFFMCFRC) Year-End Closing Data: Totals Records on Line Items

    This report displays commitment, budget for commitment and budget for a fiscal year that were carried forward to the following year.
    ·        Commitment carried forward in a test run (RFFMEP2GX)
    This report displays commitment belonging to a fiscal year that was carried forward to the following year in a a test run using the Commitment Carryforward
    ·        Preselected budget (RFFMEP3GX)
    This report displays budget for a fiscal year that was determined for the carryforward into the following year with the program RFFMCF25.

    We assigned cost center in certain WBS, also create budget for this WBS. Since we activated funds managenet(FM), for all the postings which posted to this WBS, system will control budget for both WBS and commitment item, however, we just would like to control budget for WBS.
    Would anyone know how to do that? thanks.

    Can you give more details about your problem.
    If there are still costs showing in your WBS reports you may have to run the report CJEN and CJBN which are reconstruct availability control.

  • Fund center and commitment item not updated

    Hi!
    We are using Funds Management together with SRM. When we change the value of e.g. cost center and not the account assignment itself we do not get an update on fund center. When changing account we do not get an update on commitment item either. This is standard SAP and we have been asked to use BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI. Have anyone else had this problem?
    I would really appreciate if anyone have some code for this BADI or any other badi e.g. BBP_ECS_PO_OUT_BADI. It is only important that changes in PO when replicated to back end results in the correct update of commitment item and fund center.

    Funds management was activated during the year and hence there are few open items saved without capturing Fund Center and Commitment Item. When i tried to clear these open item i get the following error
    Line  in document xxx xxxxxxxxxxxx   does not contain any commitment items
    Is there any program which i can use to update derivation to the already posted line item

    Hi,
    Solutions proposed by Alexey are good if FM document was created for the FI documents in question. If, however, no FM document was created, reassignment process won't help. You can try FMN0 transaction after creating a derivation rule in FMDERIVE for these documents, but I cannot confirm that it would be sucessful as FMN0 transaction is not perfect.
    The solution could be updating FI tables (BSEG/BSIS/BSAS) with FM assignment (fund centre/commitment item) and only then running FMN0 transaction. In this case, FM document will be created and you'll be able to process the items.

    Hi Irina,
    As I said, the real question is whether you are going to use these commitment items for budget management. If not, it does not really matter if it will be defined 50/2 or 50/3 - in any case, the AVC will not be applied to these lines. It's not even necessary to define a separate commitment item for these G/Ls; it's possible to define one dummy commitment item for all transactions which are not relevant for budget activities.

    Actually, users are changing the commitment items and that's why finance people are facing the problems so they have requested to mark the Commitment item field in a display mode.
    Please telll me the t. code or the path where to do this as I am not an MM consultant and he has left recently I have been asked to do it.

  • PSM- No commitment item entered

    I customized the FMDERIVE with derivation rules that include: cost center = Fund Center; cost element = commitment item and completed the tables with the equivalences.
    Then I entered budget for the cost centers anda cost element include in the tables of FMDERIVE.
    When I trying to post a FI document and use an account that is not include in FMDERIVE the system try to find a derivation rule and gives me the following error:
    *No commitment item entered in item 00001 1000 1107001*
    *Message no. FI311*
    *Diagnosis*
    *The posted document contains at least one company code in which Funds Management, Cash Budget Management, or Project Cash Management is active. Therefore you must enter a commitment item in all involved company codes.*
    *Procedure*
    *Enter a commitment item.*
    *If you cannot enter a commitment item, check with your system administrator that your account assignment derivation is adjusted so that the system can automatically derive a commitment item from another account assignment, or from the G/L or cost element.*
    The point is that I want that only derive and make the availability control of the cost element that I included in FMDERIVE.
    There are a way of doing that?

    Hi,
    Go to FMDERIVE, enter the test mode and activate the trace. The, try posting again your document; you will enter the FMDERIVE transaction and see whether your rules have been activated or not.

Commitment items classify budget transactions and business transactions affecting liquidity into revenue, expenditure, and cash balance items. You can assign budget for particular responsibility areas (funds centers) to the commitment items. Budget is used up as postings commitment items and funds centers with commitment and actual values. Funds reservations and business transactions entered in the feeder systems also affect the budget.
    <b>Fund Center</b>
    Organizational unit within an FM area which represents the structure of an organization (areas of responsibility, departments, projects) in the form of a hierarchy.You can assign budget to funds centers in Funds Management. Budget is used up as postings are made to funds centers with commitment and actual values. Budget is even consumed in Funds management through a reservation of funds or by business transactions entered in the feeder systems of Funds Management (such as financial accounting, materials management).Funds centers in Funds Management are arranged in hierarchies. You can define only one funds center hierarchy per FM area. There is only one top funds center in a funds center hierarchy. Every other funds center has exactly one superior funds center. A superior funds center is defined in the master record of a funds center.
