Commitment on Reservation

Hello,
Can I update project commitment on the basis of Material Reservation with internal activity? I came to know that a program exists in SAP which updates the project commitments on the basis of reservation. can anyone refer me that program?
In addition to this please guide me if I can check budget with reservation. FM is not implemented here.
Thanks in anticipation...

As I understand your requirement is not supported by fundamentals of SAP  system design. Commitment is nothing but which you are you have to some how pay to external vendor or internal entity. Refer note 91036.
Reservations do not generate any commitments in the R/3 system. Commitments are exclusively generated from purchase orders, purchase requisitions, funds commitments and funds reservations.
As resevation is something you have booked for your future requirement, but not consumed.
For budget anyway when you put actaul cost at that time system is cheking your budget.
If someone has differenet opinion please share.

Nitin P.

  • Commitment for Reserve for Network!

    Dear Experts,
When I assigned stock-item material component to activity, I choose "Reserve for Network".
When I run MRP for that material, although PR is generated but the commitment not increase in report S_ALR_87013533
for that activity (and the corresponding WBS element as well)!!
Is it the standard behaviour of system?
    Please advise.
    Thanks and best regards,
    Khoa Huynh

this is standard behavior. PR generated through MRP wont increase the commitment.

  • How to release stocks which are committed through Reservations

    Dear Experts,
If we perform Availability Check at the time of creating reservations (through Project Systems), to commit stock, is there is any way to release that committed quantity automatically if the goods are not issued after an agreed time?
    Please guide....
    Many Thanks,
    Dileepa.

    hi
in SAP reservation is soft reservation not hard reservation.

  • Recording commitment on PR-Contract-PO

    Hi SAPers,
I have question for behaviour's system:
I create PR consumed as commitment 10.000, then create contract refer to PR w/ value 5.000. I create commitment plan for the contract. However, contract with commitment plan did not refer to PR. The commitment plan create new commitment (funds reservation) as 5.000.
The FM update of contract not refer to PR, but add the commitment. Is this true the behaviour of system.
    Best regards,
    Dewi

    Dear Dewi,
Can you tell me the details of how you did the setting for activating FM. Well we can also use the T-code ML91 for your requirement.

  • How to get the budget amt and commited amt and available amt?

    Dear Experts,
I want to write a RFC,import :Project Definition 、Work Breakdown Structure Element (WBS Element),export:budget amount and commited amount and available amount.could you please tell me how to do?
    Best regards,
    Merry

    Hi Merry,
I'm not 100% sure but I did an alv a while back and I was told that this is the table I needed.  You can access them using OBJNR of your WBS.
    budget amount = COEP-WTGBTR where wrttp = 41
commited amount = COEP-WTGBTR where wrttp between 22 and 26)
    reserve = COEP-WTGBTR where wrttp = 21
    Used(spent) = COEP-WTGBTR where wrttp = 4 or 11
BUT, after writing the report I was told thet these are the tables I had to use.
    budget amount = bpja-WTJHR where wrttp = 41
commited amount = cooi-WTGBTR where wrttp between 22 and 26
    reserve = cooi-WTGBTR (21) where wrttp = 21
    Used(spent) = cosp-WTGBTR where wrttp = 4 or 11
available amount = budget amount - commited amount - reserve - Used
Either way you will get a value returned though I don't know which would be correct for you.  I hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Simon

  • Dynamic Availability Check in MB26

Hi! We have turned on the dynamic availability check function to output an error if an issue is attempted and where there is no stock. E.g.
    Stock level - 100
    Reservation 1 - 60 -> system committed 60
    Reservation 2 - 40 -> system committed 40
    Reservation 3 - 10 -> system creates reservation with 0 unit commited
Now, if I try to create a GI using MIGO or MB1A on reservation 3, I get the error message. However, if I do the same in MB26 the goods issue posting goes through.
In the configuration for 'Set Dynamic Check', I found that I cannot add the checking rule to new transactions so that option is out.
I have looked in OSS notes but found nothing.
Is this a bug or is it a special feature that SAP has allowed here? Are there other ways around this.
    Cheers!
    SF

  • Reservation commitment in Stock overview MMBE

    Dear Gurus,
I want my reservation should fully get committed in my overall stock
For example i have stock of 100pcs
    Reservation 1 - 20 pcs
    Reservation 2 - 70 pcs
Then total stock should show only 100-20-70 = 10PCS
    But in MMBE,
the stock remains the same as 100pcs and reserved qty as 90pcs.
Please advice on this, how to make confiq as per my requirements
    Thanks

    Hi,
Even if you want your stock level to be reduced by the reserved quantity you cannot realize it in standard system.
As your physical stock remains the same in spite of huge amount of reservation the same happens in SAP - reservation is a requirement and can't modify your stock level neither in reality nor in SAP.
If you are hungry just because of this the food won't disappear from the fridge. Unless you eat it the amount of it remains the same.
Please use MD04 and you will see the available quantity that is close to your desire.
    Regards,
    Csaba

  • Commited Quantity in Reservations

    Dear Experts,
What will happen if i do not withdraw a reservation with a committed quantity before the requirement date?
Will the Committed quantity get invalid (stock will be open again).
    Appreciate your suggestions and replies....
    Dileepa.

    Hi,
The commitment Qty will be remain for 30 days in standard SAP Setting,But the MM consulatnt can change the seting as per the requirement from business, say eg: 1 week,3 days or 5 days.
So please check with MM consultant in your project how many days he keep the committed Qty.Or he followed  the standard SAP setting.
    Regards,
    Raj.

  • Material Reservations and PO

    Hello,
my question is at which stage of the network the material (components) reservations or Purchase orders, automatically trigger.
when the project (with networks and materials) is created or released.
because I have issue like the project is in TECO and for some reason we are planning to undo the TECO. if I undo the status, will it again creates the PO or reservation.
Is there any document, which explains in detail about the configuration of PS -MM integration.
Is there any concept like labor reservation just like material reservation. I am not sure is question itself true or not.
    Thank You

    Hi Gokul,
My answer is correct considering the following in my perception and not in SAP functionality view.
    <<<<
At what status of the WBS / network will this Material reservations or PO's get triggered. Is it at Created or Released.

When WBS elements are in created status means project has not yet received the approval to go ahead from the project controller or whoever may be in the business.
If some reasons, Management cancel the project or Customer cancel the project and its very easy to set the DLFL flag on project. But what will happen to the committed costs. Do the Management ready to take up unwanted burden and raise unwanted inventories in warehouse. Risk Mitigation is an alternate option but try to avoid inviting the risks which will save time and money.
There are so many things to consider just not going by the SAP functionality. This is what I feel and you may not accept my statement but at the same time I respect your views and ideas.

  • Release reservations from one order to another order  in availability check

    Hello PP Experts,
I have requirement as given i below scenario:
Open production order X (or fixed planned order) has some missing parts after availablity check but reserves some components.
Another open production order Yis blocked for further process because there is no availability of the components (because there are already reserved for order X ).
Is there any chance to release the reservations done by order X and assign the availability of the components to order Y Automatically?

    Automatically - No.
But you can do that either by resetting & committing the same to the other order, component by component in CO06 (also called backorder processing) or you can schedule COMAC with option Reset Availability Data (ensure your layout is as per your need), by specifying the range of SFO's.
If you're not familiar with the above processing I would suggest do some testing in your sandbox first.

  • Make To Order - Commitment qty is 0 even if material on stock

    Folks,
We are using Make to order with strategy group 82 (Assembly processing) requirement type is KMFA and class is 201. The availability check in material master is set to '02' individual requirements.
The KMAT has about 100 components. Of 100 components about 10 are set to 'KP' - no check. the rest are set to '02' - individual requirements in the MRP3 view.
On creating the sales order, the components with no availability check have the right committed qty whereas the rest shows 0 .(Eventhough there are enough stock) and are shown as missing parts. (the commitment date deaults to 12/31/9999)
I tried using Movement type 412 E to post the components in to sales order stock. It worked. But there are 100s of components and 100s of orders. We cannot afford to issue the components manually for each and every order.
Is there any way we could achieve this at one step? (like either posting to the order or reservation?)  Am I missing something in the set up?
    Helpful answers will be rewarded.

MRP 4 view "2" was missing in individual/Collective reqmts.

  • Error in commitment fund date from a payment request

    Hello,
When we try to post a payment request from a funds commitment position that has been added to the fund commitment in a date later than the posting date of the payment request, we receive an error message FI_E050.
In our example the message FI_E050 is "Posting date/period 20.04.2009/004 is earlier than existing date/period 07.07.2009/007".
The posting date of the payment request is 20.04.2009, the posting date of the funds commitment is 02.01.2009 and the creation date of the position of the funds commitment is 07.07.2009.
We found the same issue for a modification of a commitment position and we solve it in SPRO as told by SAP OSS but now we have found the same error in an added position.
    Anyone has found this issue?
Thank you very much in advance.
    Kind regards

    Hello Mar,
I will try to explain it better. Sorry for the inconvenience.
The FM update profile is 000359.
PB: Annual-Based Encumbrance Trkg is marked.
CB: Period-Based Encumbrance Tracking is marked.
Then, we have the value type 65 with this values:
    Payment Budget     X
    Commitment Budget     X
    Year-Dependent Control Between Pa
    Payment budget reduced     X
    Commitment budget reduced     X
Payment Budget Date, Fiscal Year     B
    CB Date, Fiscal Year     B
    PB Date, Approval Year     F
    CB Date, Approval Year     F
    CCN logic payment budget
    CCN logic, commitment budget
    PB: Period-Based Encumbrance Trac     X
    CB: Period-Based Encumbrance Trac     X
    Budget assigned     X
    Revenue/expenditure control
    PB: Annual-Based Encumbrance Trkg
    CB: Annual-Based Encumbrance Trac
    Approved Amounts in Payment Budge
Approved Amounts in Commitment Bu     X
Rest of the values has not been updated with a profile value type dependency.
After your answer, I have made a test between a funds reservation and a funds precommitment to ensure that the error was made because of the activation of PBET. Then I get that if I add a position to the funds reservation and I use this position in a funds precommitment, I get FI_E050 too. I use the same dates that you can find in the first post.
On the other hand CB Period-Based Encumbrance Tracking is active for value type 80, 81, 82 and 83 (and 65). I suppose this is active because of the profile.
Please, if you need more info I can send you and image of the RFFMMONI.
Thank you very much in advance.
    Kind regards
