Commitment vs. Consumption for a PO

Hi,
Our scenario: ECC 6, Update profile 102, SRM 7.0., FY - July through June, AVC - warnings only (no errors)
We are creating future dated POs, i.e., the commitment will be created in the next fiscal year based on delivery date on the PO (override update profile for PO). For a  small group of POs within this, there is a requirement that a part of the consumption for the blanket PO will take place in the current fiscal year.
For example:
Create a PO today with a delivery date of 08/01/2010 for $100k - this creates a commitment for 100k in the next fiscal year (period 2, FY 2011). Let us say in June an invoice is received and posted for 5000, then budget consumption happens in June (Period12, FY 2010).
This will cause a mismatch between the commitment and the budget consumption. Is there a way to fix this? Are there any user exits / badi that we can use to customize this requirement?
Please let me know.
Thanks.

Hi Mar, Eli or Minghong,
Please answer the question below if you can. It is related to the issue mentioned above, but is a slightly different question.
I am trying to understand how commitment and actuals are posted for a future dated PO. We have an override (of the update profile) in place for purchase orders, where in the delivery date is used for updating in FM.
So if i have a PO created with a delivery date of 9/1/2010, then the commitment is created in Sept 2010 (FM posting date as seen from the PO is in 9/2010). The budget consumption and actuals/commitment report match this - i.e., if i run the PO for FY10, this PO does not show up, but if I run the report for FY11, then the PO does show up in the report. So far so good.
a) When I post an invoice to the above PO in the current posting period and when I view the follow on funds management document, it shows the PO as being posted in the current period (May 2010).
b) However when I view the commitment (Environment -> AC commitment documents), the reduction is shown, but the FM posting date is blank.
c) Finally, when I look up the budget consumption report, commitments/actuals and FMAVCR01 reports, i can see the actual showing up only in the next fiscal year reports. Again, for the current fiscal year (the invoice posting date) in FM reports, I cannot see the actual posting.
Why is the data different between the FM reports and the funds management document (as seen from the invoice)? Is the invoice consuming the budget from the current period or in the future period? Can you please explain?
Thanks in advance,
PSM

  • Report for Material Consumption for WBSE & Network

    Dear Experts,
I want to see Material Consumption for
for WBSE 281Q (Project to Project)
for Network 221Q (Network from Project)
I can see values in Report MB51,
but I can not see for which WBSE it is consumed or from which WBSE it is consumed.
The Entries are there in table MSEG field MAT_PSPNR.
It is not shown in Report MB51, For this column blank is shown, no value is shown.
Can you help me, how can I see material consumption for WBSE & Network with WBSE ID for/from which.
    Thanks
    SSanjay

    Dear Muralee,
I think I am not able to explain you the thing or you are not getting what I want to say.
In my first post I have said:
    I am trying MB51, with
    221Q Project to Project GI
    281Q Project to Network GI.
I am getting material consumption quantities,
Network/Activities for which consumption is done is also shown.
But the WBSE for which / from which consumption is done, that column is blank.
It is showing WBSE for 101 GR for Project
I want to know for which /from which WBSE material was consumed?
I have tried to explain problem again.
    Can you please help?

  • Vendor wise/Invoice wise consumption for each WBS element

Any standard report from SAP, which provide details of Vendor Purchase order / Contract, details of SES with WBS no. and details of Vendor invoice in columnar form.
SAP system can not generate standard reports giving vendor wise/Invoice wise consumption for each WBS element of particular asset.
Please help me to get this report.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi
Your starting point should be CJI3 report or any PS report... Here you get the FI Doc no
If this FI Doc No is generated from MM, check the Header segment of the document.. It would have MM Doc NO + Fisc Yr populated in the ref key... This gives you the link between FI & MM
From here on, you can take it forward... You can look up this doc no in MSEG Table and find the PO no... Then go to EKBE table for other PO details....

    -     Client states that PO shows a different amount or that line item 2 does not show at all in KSB2.
Please guide me what is the solution for this and where I need to check
    Thanks and Regards,

    Hi Beatriz Amezua ,
For displaying plan line items for cost center - KSBP and for display of individual plan document : KABP
RKP6 means "Planning Activity Dependent Costs"
Like in FI module, the business transaction have been codified and the list you can find in KANK transaction , mention your controlling area, menu -- Groups --  Display Groups

  • Planned and actual consumption for each confirmation

    Dear All,
There is a production order. it has two operations. i have made three confirmations of each operation for that order. now i want to see the planned and actual consumption for each confirmation. how is it possible.
However i know that on order we can see planned and actual consumption but it is for total order but i want to see planned and actual consumption for each confirmation. Actually client wants that on 2nd confirmation what is planned consumption and what they consumed on actual. thanks

    Hi,
In standard SAP this type of report not be there, but u can make it by using BOM,Confirmation table, & material document table.
Use AFRU to get posted document no for confirmation & detail by joining it with MSEG by mblnr & MAZHR.
now u get plan component qty by using mast & stpo if ur bom not changed in Production order , if in order component may be change then use afko & resb table & by comparing base qty or order qty & confirmation qty get plan component qty for confirmation.
    Thanks

  • Time consumption for certificate verification

    Hello everyone,
I tried to track the time consumption for certificate verification. I generated the certificate by myself using X509V1CertificateGenerator in org.bouncycastle.asn1.x509. The signature algorithm is "SHA1withRSA". I generated two different certificates using different public exponent and tracked the time for certificate verification respectively. The first time, the public exponent I used to generate a certificate is 3; the second time, the public exponent I used to generate a certificate is 65537.
In theory, the operation for signature verification is C=M^e(mod n), in another word, the time consumption should depend on the length of e. More specifically, Time complexity of C=M^e(mod n) should be linear with the length of exponent e, under the same n.
The method I used for tracking the time is:
    //record the time before verification
    long time1 = (new Date()).getTime();
    //certificate verification
aCert.verify(publickey)/*Here, 'aCert' is a certificate to be verified. 'publickey' is a public key which I retrieved from an already trusted certificate, and in this case, the first time, e=3, the second time, e=65537.*/
    //record the time after verification
    long time2 = (new Date()).getTime();
    //the time consumption is:
long period = time2 - time1;But, after I execute using different public exponent 3 and 65537, the time consumption is almost the same, not as it supposed to be.(in theory, due to the different length of 3 and 65537 in binary form(one is 2-bit, the other is 17-bit), the time consumtion should be 17/2 times different). Actualy, in my case, the time for verification using e=3 is 551 ms; and the time for e=65537 is 531 ms.
I am just wondering, how to explain this bizarre thing?
Any help is every welcome! Thanks a lot.

You can check the source code of the oddModPow() method in java/math/BigInteger.java (check src.zip). There are some optimizations in it, so try to verify if they can make the running time of the case "exponent = 3" nearly equal to the case "exponent = 65537". In the first case, 3 = 11 in binary (two bits 1); in the second case, 65537 = 10000000000000001 in binary (two bits 1 as well). Maybe it can be a hint for you.

  • How to find out memory consumption for table in HANA without load it into memory

    Hi,
To determine the memory consumption for a table in HANA, you can query table M_CS_TABLES, however, it requires load table into memory first, I just wonder if there has another table store memory consumption information for all HANA tables regardless it load into memory or not. Below is screenshot for one of table in my system, since that table is partially loaded into memory, "Total Memory Consumption (KB):" tell me the memory consumption of the portion load into memory, what I am looking for is something like "Estimated Maximun Memory Consumption (KB)" which provides me total memory consumption for that table including portion doesn't load into memory, of course I can use this Esitmated information, but consider I have close to thousand tables in my HANA system already, it's not pratical to check tables one by one.
    Thanks,
    Xiaogang.

    Hi Xiaogang,
Estimated Memory Size that you see in the Table Run time Information - same is available in M_CS_TABLES also
If you don't get the size of any Table in M_CS_TABLES View, then the same will also not be available in Runtime information of the Table
Even if tables are not loaded into memory, you can get the Estimated Size, just try running the query with filter LOADED = 'NO'

  • No bucket consumption for resource , operation, activity

    Hi,
i know i am missing something really basic but i am not able to put my finger on what i am missing out.
    Issue :
I am trying to CIF across SNP PDS from ECC 6.0 to SCM 7.0 system. Two PDS are failing with the error message "No bucket consumption for resource , operation, activity"
Things that i have checked :
    1)     The resource has valid definition u2013 using the APO resource button in the capacity definition, a bucket capacity has been created.
    2)     Workcenter has been cifed across and resource created. i am able to see the bucket capacity in the bucket capacity details in the SNP Bucket capacity view of the resource
    3)     Checked the control key and it is a valid one for capacity and scheduling. Also checked the formulas in the workcenter and they generate valid values for setup and production time.
    4)     Valid values entered for setup and maintenance in the routing.
Is there something else that I need to check please? What am i missing?
    Regards,
    Karthik

    Thanks DB49.
It was a school boy error. I was CIFing across the resource as multi mixed using the APO resource button in the R/3 capacity definition but i forgot to mark the "Several operations" button and the individual capacity was set to 1. This had caused the issue in resource definition in APO

  • Same consumption for all bps

    Dear experts,
I am facing an issue like, for nearly more than 100 customers are getting same consumption like 300 units, but actually their closing reading - opening reading is same (100-100) their current consumption should come as zero. but its coming 300 in current consumption for all customers.
any body have clue on this, it would be more appreciable.
    cheers.

    Hi,
for the estimation of the consumption has influence also periodic consumption. Try to check it (device data).
    I hope it helps.

  • How Forecast Release and Consumption for Variant Configuration

    Hi experts,
we are planning in our project how to Forecast Release and Consumption for Variant Configuration
    can you explain me
    Regards,
    babu

    Hi Sivaramakrishna,
We tried the same but what is complicating is having "market" attribute of customer in R/3 and planning forecast in DP at the "market" level. There is no customer as such in DP. THere is only market. We could release forecast at market leve using "consumption group". But I am trying to figure out how to have the sales orders consume forecast at the location, product and market level in SNP.
Today we have our sales orders to consume forecast in SNP at location-product level. we are trying to take this to "location-product-market" level in SNP.
I think we need to use some settings for characteristic based or variable consumption I think...but not clear.
    Any help is appreciated.
Thanks for taking time to reply.
