Common customer for all vendor returns

dear friends,
In my current project all our stocks are maintained by a third party warehouse who receives material from vendor and despatches to customer. Despatch Instructions to him is sent by outbound delivery from SAP. When vendor return happens he expects an outbound delivery from SAP, so we are creating outbound delivery from the 122 document but the problem is SAP is expecting one to one customer for each vendor. In our case we want to maintain our third party as single customer and assign to all vendor. Is this possible and how to maintain it?

Hello! Just like the title, is there a way to create a "common desktop" for all RD/TS 2012 users?
I know how to do this using regular W7 workstations and 2008 Servers, but the "Default" folder under the USERS directory is gone and I'm not sure how to get the icons there in Windows 8, let alone Server 2012 Remote Desktop.
I've installed Office 2010 on the 2012 server, but every end user that logs in has to manually type in "Word," "Excel." "PowerPoint." etc from the metro interface, then right-click each icon to add the shortcut to the desktop.
Given the... uh.. unfamiliarity of our endusers around the computer, this really isn't the best option. What I'd like is them to log on and have all the Office icons ready and availible for them.
Any ideas?

     But I can't use that function my program.

Change FAX number for all vendors and customers in a massive way.

I need to change the FAX number for all the vendors and custormers in Q01 so that every form should output through an specific test fax-printer. The problem is that I don't know which field I should change and how can i do it in a massive way. I have heard something about catts but i don't know almost anything.

Hi Luis,
Use tcode XK99 for vendor mass change, select the Fax no field. You have to take note that this changes will be only 1 fax number for all vendors.
Else you have to use BAPI for mass change.

How to set a common page for all users after loging on?

Now "My Dashboard" is the default page after logon.
i want to set a default home page for all users. users can see the home page after loging on.
how to change the default dashboard from "My Dashboard" to "Home page" for all users?

Steps:
Tried to set default dashboard for all the users.
1. Created a session init block
2. Used data source as select '/shared/SH Test/_portal/Test1' from dual
3. Assigned this value to PORTALPATH session variable
4. In Presentation services > Administration > My account > Default dashboard should be set to 'default'. Then only the dashboard specified in init block will be displayed otherwise My account will override the init block.
5. Save the changes made to rpd.
5. Logout and relogin to see if it is working fine. it is working perfectly fine.
For details please refer the GSC replication document. But it is for all the users.
if customer would like to have user/group based home page.
1. They may need to have 2 separate tables.
i. Group_path_tab with 2 columns. Group_id, portal_path
Have group wise portal path for all the groups
ii. User-group map table
Group_id, Group_name, user_id
User should be part of some group.
2. Then in the init block write the sql should be something like this
select A.portal_path from Group_path_tab A, User_group_map B
where B.user_id = :USER
and B.Group_id = A.Group_id
SO based on USER session variable, it will try to identify the group and then the portal_path.
Finally assign this value to PORTALPATH session variable.

How to deploy one common filter for all web applications

I want to deploy a filter for all the web applications i have running on weblogic server. I don't want to deploy the filter just within a specific web
context, was able to achieve this on tomcat as it provides a common web.xml
which will apply to all web apps. But i don't know how to achieve this on Weblogic. Your help would so much appreciated.

Common Cache for all Users JRE 1.6

I understand that the cache location is controlled through the Deployment.Properties file. The part I do not understand is how to get JRE to ignor the properties files in user profiles. Can someone please explain how to create a single cache location for all users on a machine?
I need to package this application and have the process included in the package.

Common UDF for all scenarios

PI Version = 7.0
Scenario is:
Total number of Scenarios = 20
I have created UDF in one mapping for one scenario. Same UDF i have to use for all 20 scenarios. Do i need to go to each maaping and have to write UDF or can i create one UDF and can use same for all scenario. Is there any posibility like this in 7.0, if yes then how can i achieve this???

Hi Dheeraj,
As suggested by Abhishek earlier you would have to create a java class using NWDS and then import it in the IR under Imported Archive. This can then be referenced in your UDF.

Can we implement the functionality similar to ROW_NUMBER() in generic/common way for all databases using SQL ?

In my project,i am allowing user to select database of his choice from given options & i need to write queries considering
all these optional databases. So as per my one of requirement,is there any way to achieve generic functionality similar to ROW_NUMBER() in MSSQL ?

First run this and check the db version
SELECT @@VERSION
EXEC sp_dbcmptlevel 'db name'
If version is above 2012 and compatibility level is above 80 ROW_NUMBER will work.
Otherwise you need to use this

Return to vendor via delivery, customer number for each vendor?

Hi
We wish to use return materials to Vendor via delivery process
addition to required configuration, we need to maintain Customer number in Vendor master
In out plant we have more than 500 Vendor masters, do we need to create customer number for each vendor? or can we create a generic customer ????
Business has a concern on creating customer for each vendor since number is huge, Sales guys may get confused with these numbers
Please suggest a way out

We have Vendor Work flow setup in the system. Which means when ever vendor master is changed [Return indicator ticked] workflow kicks off which means it goes for approvals. This is why we dont want to go for tick as and when needed. When ever there is a return, return to vendor must be ticked, it will go for approval etc so it slows the process
we are thinking if we can achieve through data load before SAP GO-Live so that users able to return without any delay
NOTE 447070 says 'the automatic creation of the required customer data is not supported in the data transfer'
this is related to automatic customer create isnt it
i was thinking as below
--> Create Ship-to's for all vendors
--> Load vendors via LSMW [along with return to vendor ticked and customer number(created above)]
Tested in SAP
created ship-to
Created vendor with above customer number

NSLOOKUP is resolving common for all the domains.

Here i have the issue in my DNS server which is Server 2008 R2 Enterprise(64bit). My DNS is resolving common IP for all the domains whencheck with nslookup, But users can able to do browsing with my DNS. Only thing is
not resolving nslookup. Eg: User is trying to access mcafee.com. It is browsing to respective domain. Same user is accessing microsoft.com. It is also browsing to respective domain. So, When in go to CMD and do nslookup for both mcafee.com and microsoft.com
it is resolving a common IP 72.52.4.91. URL gives you much clarity on my issue.

AS2 receive for multiple vendors on the same http address?

Hi all,
Got a question about AS2 and MDN generation with BizTalk 2009.
We currently have a Request Response Receive port set up to point to a local http address, pointing to /EDI/BTSHTTPReceive.dll. We currently have Vendor1 sending us files through this port correctly, and through BizTalk’s
tracking features I can verify they are getting the MDNs back.
Now, we set up a second vendor (let’s call it Vendor2) to use the same location and http address. When they send us files, we get them fine, but they don’t get the MDN back any longer. BizTalk’s tracking is showing a 0 bytes response
being sent back to them.
I suspect this is happening because the http receive location, on its Certificate tab, has the certificate for Vendor1 specified, and not Vendor2. Is that what the issue is? In other words, do separate vendors, with different
certificates, have to have a different unique receive location and http address? Or is there a way to just use one address for all vendors to keep it simple?
