  • What is the font Apple uses for the time and date on the lock screen in iOS 7?

I can't find the answer on Google. What is the font Apple uses for the time and date on the lock screen in iOS 7?

This font. It's weird, it looks different when viewing the screenshot on my iMac, than it does on my iPod touch. Probably because of the retina screen of the iPod.

At one point I was somewhat uneducated as a consumer on certain abbreviations.  I began to check around the internet but I never found a complete list of all of the abbreviations used in today’s technological world.  Over time I have collected a list of every network and printer-related term in relation to HP.  I am happy to share this with the world because sometimes when trying to troubleshoot within the forums and other web-based documents the writers can forget that not everyone knows the abbreviations and if you do not know sometimes you can get left behind and feel frustrated.   If you know of any other industry-standard abbreviations regarding printers, faxing, and network-connections feel free to post more here.

  • Integration Betwwn Time and Benefits

    Hi all,
How can we integrate Time Management with Benefits is there any link to integrate it? pl. letme know this is urgent.
    Regards,
    Venu.

    hi venu
    i am sending the document
    Holiday Buying/Selling
    Use
In the UK, it is common practice that full time employees receive a minimum of 20 days holiday each year (including 8 public holidays). In most cases, the employer offers more than 20 days and may increase the number of days according to years of service up to a definable maximum level.
With Flexible Benefits, employees who are eligible can enroll their holiday plan, to buy more or sell some of their holiday entitlement within a definable maximum number of days.
As the employer, you provide standard holiday entitlement which is maintained in Customizing and will be pre-enrolled as a standard benefit in the Flexible Benefits system before employees make their selections during enrollment.
    Integration
Holiday plans are integrated with the Absence Quotas infotype (2006) and the Miscellaneous Plans infotype (0377).
    Prerequisites
As the employer, you need to maintain the employee's holiday quota in the Absence Quotas infotype (2006) before the actual enrollments in Flexible Benefits system.
An employee's individual absence entitlement is based on your Customizing settings. Usually, there are two types of time units for absence quota: by day or by hour. If the employee's absence quota time unit is by day, which is maintained in the infotype 2006, they can only buy or sell holiday in days and vice versa.
    Features
    ·        Besides maintaining the infotype 2006, you must also define any limitations for holiday buying and selling in Customizing, before setting up the actual enrollments of holiday plan, such as:
¡        Maximum number of holidays the employee can buy
¡        Maximum number of holidays the employee can sell
¡        Maximum value of holiday quota the employee is entitled to
¡        Minimum value of holiday quota the employee is entitled to
    ·        Then, the employee enrolls themselves for the holiday plan options they are entitled to with the transaction HRFBN0001.
    ·        Once the employee finishes the enrollment, their leave quota in the infotype 2006 will be updated, and their option will automatically be saved in the infotype 0377.
In some cases, in order to keep the original leave quota, the HR administrator can maintain a “dummy” quota type with the same quota number as the original leave quota before the enrollment period opens. This “dummy” quota will not be used by the flexible benefits system, but only as a reference for the employee.
    Example
One organization implements No Additional Funding Scheme and has implemented NI cost neutrality with the Class 1A NI contributions rate 12.8% for the tax year 2003-2004. This percentage of Class 1A NI contribution rate is defined in Customizing to suit your requirement. To calculate the cost of holiday buying/selling,
§         for the time unit “by day”, holiday cost per day = pre-flex salary / annual working days.
§         for the time unit “by hour”, holiday cost per hour = pre-flex  salary / factor (factor = 52 * weekly working hours).
    ·        An employee who has a basic salary of GBP 60,000 and is entitled to 20 days holiday as standard, buys 5 days, then pays GBP 85.24 for the option.
    EE’s annual pre-flex salary
    GBP 60,000
    EE’s entitled holidays
    20 days
Pre-enrollment holiday value for 20 days
    60,000 / 260 * 20 / 12 = GBP 384.62 per month
Post-enrollment holiday value for 25 days
    60,000 / 260 * 25 / 12 = GBP 480.77 per month
Value of adjustment before NI Cost Neutrality
    - GBP 96.15
    Value of NI cost neutrality
    96.15 – (96.15 / (1 + 12.8%)) = GBP 10.91
    Value paid by the EE
    -96.15 + 10.91 = - GBP 85.24
In this example, the employee has overspent his holiday plan and bought more days, normally, he would be deducted GBP 96.15; due to cost neutrality, the employer will pay less National Insurance. Therefore, an adjustment of GBP 10.91, only GBP 85.24 is deducted from the employee.
    ·        An employee who has a basic salary of GBP 70,000 and is entitled to 25 days holiday as standard, sells 5 days, and eventually the employee is paid GBP 99.45 for the option.
    EE’s annual pre-flex salary
    GBP 70,000
    EE’s entitled holidays
    25 days
Pre-enrollment holiday value for 25 days
    70,000 / 260 * 25 / 12 = GBP 560.90 per month
Post-enrollment holiday value for 20 days
    70,000 / 260 * 20 / 12 = GBP 448.72 per month
Value of adjustment before NI Cost Neutrality
    GBP 112,18
    Value of NI cost neutrality
    112.18 – (112.18 / (1 + 12.8%)) = GBP 12.73
    Value paid to the EE
    112.18 – 12.73 = GBP 99.45
In this example, the employee sells holiday, and as a result the employer will pay more National Insurance. Due to cost neutrality, the increase in National Insurance is deducted from the amount paid to the employee. The employee will therefore receive a reduced amount GBP 99.45, instead of GBP 112.18.

  • New Excel Features - Use of Integration,Formatting and Formulae in BI 7

    Hi Experts,
I had a look at the Excel integration section of the BI 7 Features and found the some new enhancements for Excel. We are planning to upgrade to BI7 and want to get some expert opinions
    1. Excel Formulas allow access to any cell of the result set.
    2. combining Excel formulas and Excel Formatiing allows the design of high end formated solution workbooks.
Can anyone explain me the difference between the Excel features in BW3.5 and BI7,with some real time examples.
Does it mean that we dont need any macros to execute some of the calculations or if there a different use in BI7?
Can i use all the features in MS Excel 2003?
Can I use the Existing Bex Browser and create new BI7 workbooks or do i need for Enterprise portal?
    Thanks

  • How do I rebuild a common library used by both iPhoto and Aperture?

I'm using a common library for both iPhoto and Aperture—latest versions of each and Mavericks. I'm finding photos that are in the library that seem to have fallen out of their events or projects. When I open those events or projects, the folders are empty, however the photos are still in the database. How do I rebuild this library so as to recover my original organization?

it will not matter, if you rebuild in iPhoto or Aperture.
You rebuild the library by launching either Aperture or iPhoto while holding down the key combination⌥⌘  (option-command)  and double-clicking  the Aperture or iPhoto icon. Keep holding down the keys, until you are seeing the Library First Aid panel.  Select to Rebuild the database.
Back up your library before rebuilding.
When I open those events or projects, the folders are empty, however the photos are still in the database. How do I rebuild this library so as to recover my original organization?
Where are you seeing the photos, that are missing from the projects, but are still in the database?
Rebuilding will collect photos, that have lost the connection to the edited versions, and show them in a "Recovered Project".  It will not restore them to the original  projects, if it is not clear, what where the originals belong to.
Have you checked, if you have filters set, that are hiding the photos? Check the search fields in the browser and the Info panel, if they are cleared and set to "Show All".

  • Apps locked / frozen and on going to setting and rest it asks for pass code. Use standard one that I use all the time and it states 1 failed attempt. I have not forgotten pass ode as I use it 20 times a day. Over 70 years of age so make the response simpl

The 3 apps required updating but they have frozen. Did not realise this until Candy Crush froze. Went to reset and it asked for pass code. I entered standard code and it stated one failed attempt. I may be over 70 years of age but have not forgotten pass code!! I hope that the solution is simple!!

If your iPad was used by another person in the past, it may be asking for their passcode.
If your iPad has been synced with a computer before, restoring with your computer should fix it now.

  • I had a tile I used all the time and lost it-how can I get it back?

I really like the tiles in the new tab window. I used to have one for the local craigslist which is the site I go to the most. Somehow that tile got removed. Maybe a guest user on my computer deleted it. I don't really know, but I'd like to get it back. So, how can I add it or at least remove the delete setting so it will come back?

Maybe try to visit the site again. Then you might be able to add it back.

Ipad2 gives me ""accessory is not supported" message w/ VGA adapter that I used lots of times before. Now it's not working. Why? and how do I get it back to normal functioning?
I used the (Apple branded) VGA adapter lots of times last year. Now I got back to one place I used it many times and it does not work. When I restart iPad with the adapter connected, I get the "accessory is not supported"message. But that same accessory WAS supported before.
This is very annoying as I planned a whole bunch of presentations starting this week to do with my iPad2 and that adapter.

I received the same error message, "Accessory Not Supported"  from both the VGA and DV video adapters I purchased, both were boxed direct from Apple. However, to bypass this problem I  simply clicked on Photos icon on iPad2 and flipped through photos until it displayed on my projector.  I then exited the Photos app and my home screen displayed fine on the projection screen.
Some logic issue with the video adapters, but launching Apple Photo app initializes the video adapters then they work fine for mirroring after that.
    Platform: iPad2
    IOS: 5.1.1
    Best regards!

  • My laptop died last night and the date and time was set for 1/1/2000. I went to change the date and time and cannot. For some reason when i pull up system preferences it will not load date and time but will load other stuff. Please help.

Last night my laptop died and the time and date was reset. I cannot acess date and time preferences to change it and my laptop is acting really weird. My CD drive is broken so there are no options to put in a cd. Please someone help i need my laptop for school and cannot afford another.

Many system actions will misbehave, given an inaccurate date. Resetting the NVRAM and / or SMC will not fix it, and if the system has a preposterous date you may not be able to open System Preferences to correct it. This dilemma may or may not be addressed in a future OS X update.
If you cannot open System Preferences you can reset your system date and time using Terminal.
Please read everything that follows before proceeding. Write them down if necessary because the effects of setting a preposterous system date are unpredictable.
Quit System Preferences, force quit if necessary: OS X: How to quit an unresponsive application using Force Quit
Open Terminal - it is in your Utilities folder and looks like this
You can find Terminal by using the Finder's Go menu and choosing Utilities, then double-click the Terminal icon.
At the prompt, you will be typing a command resembling the following:
    sudo date mmddhhnnyyyy
... but you must substitute the actual date and time in the command that corresponds to the date format used for your location. In other words if your custom is to use a date like 8 February 2014 then reverse the mm and dd values.
Substitute numerals in the above command according to the following:
    mm = month
    dd = date
hh = hour (24 hour format)
nn = minutes past the hour
    yyyy = year
Each of those values must be two digits except for the year which can be two or four digits. As an example if the current date and time is February 8, 2014 at 9 PM your command will be the following:
    sudo date 020821002014
    or
    sudo date 0208210014
Either one will work. If you enter nonsensical values the system will attempt to parse the entry correctly.
To recover from your inability to use System Preferences to set the date and time, the value entered does not have to be precise, it just has to be approximate.
Enter that command using the actual time and date for your location and in the appropriate format, then press the Return key. Terminal will ask for your Admin Password - the same one you use when you log in to your Mac. Type it and then press the Return key. What you type will not appear, not even with •••• characters.
To determine if your change was effective just type the date command and press the Return key. Terminal will reply with the date and time. If it appears correct and in the correct format, you should be able to open System Preferences > Date & Time once again. Selecting the "Set time and date automatically" and choosing an appropriate time server will adjust your Mac's system clock to the precise time.
