Communication channel not present in Communication channel monitoring

Hi All,
We have the communication channel in Integration builder and it is active state. but we are not able to see it in C.C monitoring. and we are not sure whether the channels are started.
how can we check whether the channels are started?
and why the communication channel is not visible in C.C monitoring.
It works fine in DEV and QA. but we are facing this issue in PRD

Hi Ravi,
in the cache connectivity test, all the components are in GREEN color (Enterprise Service Repository, Integration directory, Integration server - ABAP, , mapping runtime on central adapter engine, adapter engine, mapping runtime) . Only central adapter engine is in yellow color and the message says:
Apr 19, 2010 6:16:28 AM - Cache notification from Integration Directory received successfully
Attempt to fetch cache data from Integration Directory not yet started or still in process.
Restarting the server also did not work.

  • Communication channel not showing in CC monitoring

    Dear all,
I have created a CC - JDBC receiver and assigned to my BS. It is activated and available in the BS. I have cleared ID - Cache. The CC is displaying in SXI_CACHE also but it is not displaying in RWB->CC monitoring. What could be the reason. The adapter and entire scenario is activated. Kindly expecting your replies soon.
    Regards,
    Harikumar. S

    Hi,
For this, in Integration Directory Menu goto Environment -> Cache Notifications -> Notification Tab and check for Failed Cache Instance. Keep the filter conditions as <b>"-Any-"</b>, to ensure no failed cache instance is missed due to filters set.
Select the <b>Failed Cache Instance</b> and perform "<b>Repeat Cache update for Instance</b>" (Icon/Button near refresh button within the same Notifications tab).
This should resolve the CC not showing in Monitoring.

If you want to view the source and target messages of Idoc's u can see those from SXMB_MONI.Choose u r processed message,Dbl click,For Idoc as sender u can view the message from payloads of Inbound message,For Idos as Receiver u can view the message from Payloads of Request message Mapping.

  • Sender agreement & communication channel not needed in case of IDOC adapter

    Hello everyone ,
I am new to xi , as far as i know a communication channel cannot be created in ID when using IDOC adapter , the answer for this question is like , the idoc adapter resides on the integration server & not part of j2ee AF .
Can some one explain me in the terms of a laymen , its not clear to me.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Reena.

    Hi ! Reena
IDOC adapter resides on Integration server, so Integration engine takes care of the conversion format from IDOC to XML, hence there is no need for sender Adapter .Also since its residing on Integration server you can directly post the message in the Integration engine.
well lemme explain a little bit,the main reason for sender agreement is to associate namespace with the sender adapter, now when we shoot IDOC from R/3 it already contains its standard SAP namespace so no need of sender agreement.
now comes the sender CC,main use of sender CC is to identify the sending system and the adapter.the IDOC header contains details of all the this,so again there is no need for sender CC

  • Photoshop not presenting alpha channel as expected (like I'm seeing GIMP does)

    Greetings,
I have a need to edit the channels independently (the values in my image mean things numerically rather than just what it looks like visually - so I need to edit the grayscale values in each of the R - G - B - and A channels seperately).
I've searched through google and other forum posts and others bring up the concept of not understanding alpha versus transparency - but I have yet to see an explanation that fully explains what I'm experiencing.
The closest was http://forums.adobe.com/message/2563436#2563436 But while I saw the exact same symptoms being described, the specific question was never really answered.
Hopefully, a concrete example with pictures will be able to communicate the issue and solicit a useful explanation and/or solution.
While, I'm specifically working with an RGBA image, below is a screenshot of a PNG that demonstrates the exact same behavior or symptom.  The screenshot below represents the PNG inside GIMP and PS CS4.  BTW, if you'd like to see or play with the image yourself, you can grab the same image at http://www.libpng.org/pub/png/img_png/imgcomp-440x330.png
GIMP, interestingly enough loads the PNG as expected - I see the transparency of the image treated as a true alpha channel.
In PS CS4 however, the transparency seems to be somehow embedded in the Red - Green - and Blue channels; but NO seperate alpha channel.
I can create the alpha channel through Select - Load Selection - Layer 0 Transparency - and pasting that into a newly created alpha channel - but the color channels still have the transparency mixture symptom - rather than showing the JUST the color component of that channel.  (Note the channel differences of the GIMP's Red Channel versus PS's Red Channel  - Said in another way, the yellow ball in the upper left of the image should have a red value of 255, so the Red Channels grayscale upper left ball should be white like it is in GIMP, rather than Gray as it is in PS).
I never thought I'd experience GIMP being superior to Photoshop - so hopefully somebody can shed light on what is going on - what configuration I may have myself in - or a process to get the channels seperated out in the manner I wish to work with them.   Furthermore, maybe somebody can educate the Photoshop community what the difference between transparency and alpha[transparency] is.  I haven't found quite the right explanation that makes the light go off in my head yet.  As best as I have gleened "Alpha", which can be applied to any kind of channel, typically is in reference to transparency - and is applied as a document-whole transparency (as opposed to transparencies applied at a layer level - such as a layer mask).

I think I've finally determined that modern Photoshops have gone in a different direction that I feel "Alpha" should be done.
    (good or bad).
Here are the steps and/or details of how I arrived at that conclusion.
If nothing else this has been very educational on how Photoshop treats alpha.
    - Import your alpha'd PNG with SuperPNG format (see above on how to make sure you use the SuperPNG plugin to load the .png).
    - In the SuperPNG dialog select "Alpha appears as seperate channel"
    - Create a layer from the Background and Delete the original Background
(since the Background is locked and we can't edit the Background - we want to add a layer mask based on the alpha)
    - Ctrl-Left Select the "Alpha 1" channel - Ctrl-C - and hit the "Add Layer Mask" button (square with the circle at the bottom of the LAYERS rollout)
    - For this demo and clarity, I went ahead and deleted the alpha "Alpha 1" that came in through the SuperPNG plugin
So now I have the Layers like I kindof expected the main document to just come in as (kindof though - it is presented in a Layer Mask rather than Alpha Channel).
What is interesting - which you'll see if you toggle the layer mask on and off
(shift-click the mask thumbnail in the layer)
Note how the thumbnails in the channel views render differently during the toggle.
When the mask is off you see the individual color channels like I expect - black where there is an absence of that color.
However when you enable the layer mask - the individual color channels show in semi-transparent/checkerboard.
So this is exactly how the color channels are presented when loading in a .png (WITHOUT the SuperPNG plugin) or an .rgba
..you get the semitransparent views of the color channels - BUT the difference is - you have no way to directly see or edit the Alpha channel.
nor are the color channels represented as completely opaque versions.
What is really interesting - it is there though - if you Ctrl-Left Select the layer, Ctrl-C, and "Add Channel Mask" - you'll get the Alpha mask.
    HOWEVER, the big issue is that you can't toggle or edit the Color-Channels like the Layer counterpart above;
they are ALWAYS the semitransparent/checkboard version;  AND now we basically are double applying transparency
(due to the still embedded alpha/transparency AND the newly create "Alpha 1" channel)
I think this a bug (or a poor reimplementation of modern Photoshop releases; I believe older Photoshops used to break out Alpha in the "arguably correct" way - and in fact the way GIMP currently does).
Or maybe there are other explanations - like abstracting some of this complexity away from less advance users, etc?
So the SuperPNG plugin was useful in experimenting, understanding, and demonstrating what is going on.
However, if I'm trying to read in .rgba directly, I don't think I have a way of making the "Alpha appear as a seperate channel" as I think any image with "alpha" component should.
    (png, tiff, rgba, etc).

  • "Channel started but inactive" in RWB Monitor for SOAP sender channel

    Dear XI specialists,
I have configured a communication scenario involving SOAP Adapter (sender) usage, but I'm facing the issue when testing the scenario. The problem is that none of messages are coming into the SOAP Adapter (checked via TCode SXI_MONITOR in XI) when using 3rd party SOAP-clients (XML Spy, soapUI) based on WSDL-file generated and exported from XI.
I checked the sender communication channel for SOAP Adapter - it is activated in Integration Builder's Directory. SOAP Adapter itself is also started.
I checked Runtime Workbench monitors and in the Communication Channels Monitor of the Components Monitor received the warning saying "Channel started but inactive" for my configured channel as well as for other channels working on SOAP Adapter.
Activities which were performed (in the order in which they were performed and results tested):
    1. the configuration channel restart;
    2. the communication channel re-activation and further re-start;
    3. SOAP Adapter restart;
    4. XI system's Java instance restart.
All mentioned activities didn't give any positive effect in part of this issue resolution.
On the other hand, if I use test message functionality of the Runtime Workbench (Component Monitor), then messages are seen in SXI_MONITOR and expected response messages are also returned to XI from integrated business system.
Would you please advise what can be checked else here and where the root of the problem may be detected?
All your answers and feedback will be greatly appreciated and awarded accordingly.
Many thanks in advance and my regards,
    Vadim

    Dear all,
Thank you for your input! Unfortunately, the problem still exists after testings and checkings which you suggested.
    TO Seshagiri:
I checked message monitor and found only several messages for the required sender/receiver services pair in the used namespace - all of them were successfully processed (these are messages which I sent by means of RWB Component Monitor's test message functionality).
    TO Sarvesh:
Yes, sender agreement is configured properly. I configured it when configuring communication scenario in the Configuration Wizard and then manually re-checked its definition. Moreover, when performing Test Configuration in ID, I received positive results.
    TO Nallam Guna:
I cleared Data Cache in Integration Builder, but this didn't help.
    TO Gujjeti:
I'm on SAP NetWeaver 2004s PI 7.0. Service Pack level for PI is 13.
    TO Durga:
Thank you for provided links! I have already had a look at them - but proposed solutions doesn't seem to be working in my situation.
Thank you all once again for your prompt answers! I really appreciate your attempts in helping me!
I would appreciate if you could share any further ideas on this issue.
    My best regards,

  • Exception caught by adapter framework: RfcAdapter: receiver channel not in

    Hi friends,
I am  doing a file-RFC-file scenario. This is based on the blog: /people/arpit.seth/blog/2005/06/27/rfc-scenario-using-bpm--starter-kit The company ID is sent to the RFC through a xml file. RFC will return the company details which will be written again into a xml file.
My source file is getting picked up. But while sending the company ID to the RFC, i am getting an error. It says: <b>Exception caught by adapter framework: RfcAdapter: receiver channel not in list of running clientPools:</b>. I have checked the RFC and is running perfectly.
Can anybody help me to solve this error?
    Regards,
    Divija.

    Hi,
it is better to restart the RFC adapter engine.
Is this RFC adapter is active in the Adapter Monitoring ?
Also change the RFC adapter configuration and activate it. Then activate the Receiver Agreement.

  • Deployed portlet not seen under New channel drop down

    Hi,
I need to add a new portlet to my portal so user can select it under her content configuration page.
I have added the new portlet to a user's profile via the portlet admin console.
But the new portlet channel is not available in user's content configuration page.
    Any Idea ?
(i'm working on Sun ONE Identity Server 6.1 and Sun ONE Application Server 7.0.0_01 on Solaris 5.8).
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Iris

    Hi,
This problem occurs when display profile is not updated with portlet provider for some reasons
    Tips :
    1. Please check if Webcontainer instance is up.
    2. login to psconsole -> portals tab -> click on the portal name -> Click Add dn button and search for the dn to which you deployed the portlet -> Add it -> select
it from the select DN listbox and then download the display profile(dp)
If the portlet provider which you deployed is not present in the display profile
, then please undeploy the portlet and try deploying again.
    3) Before running the the portlet deploy, set the logger to FINEST and see if any errors are thrown, basically if should show dp updated and war file deployed.
    ./psadmin set-logger -u amadmin -f ps_password -m pas -O debug.com.sun.portal -L
    FINEST
    tail -f /var/opt/SUNWportal/logs/admin/portal.0.0.log

  • JDBC Sender channel not processing the messages

    Hello,
From yesterday onwards JDBC Sender channel not processing the messages. In CC monitoring it is showing in Green Led and status is functioning. Cahnnel is polling for messages to DB server as per polling interval. But it is not processing the msg's. Under Processing detials for cluster node it is showing only "Processing Started" for each polling interval.
I have done the check in DB server by executing the query in the channel, whether there are any records are exisitng or not. There are 1000+ records.
Previously the parameter "Disconnect from DB after processing each message" was not set. I have set the parameter and activated in Productiion. Still the messages are not processing by channel
What was the problem? How to rectify with this.

Check in the Visual Admin >Cluster> "LOCKING ADAPTER"
we get a option of Display Locks .Check for an entry with
    NAME : $XIDBAD.JDBC2XI
reset the locks and restart the CC ,now it works fine.

I just got a Griffin Fire Wave for my iMac and it works great when playing DVDs and such. But when I'm mixing in STP2 I pan the surround to the rear and I don't hear anything, I did a test to see if it exported in 5.1 and it did, I could hear all channels. But its frustrating not being able to monitor the

Its definedly the soundcard which makes the funny noise, I just tested the outputs with headphones. Its really funny thing that center channel works perfectly if rear channel plug is disconnected, but you plug the rear channel plug it mixes up with the center channel also.
I just want to be sure before I send it to supplier (warranty is still good), because if it works on their computer they will charge me for 50? for the checking.
