Communication channels missing

In performing some cache refreshes, all of the communication channels have gone missing from the communication channel monitor.  They still show up in the integration directory though.  Can someone help me on how to get these channels back into the monitor?
Thanks!

Hi
You may please follow below steps and as per i see nothing went wrong.
1. If you have not yet performed full CPACache refresh...you may please perform once again
http://<PI system name>:<http port>/CPACache/refresh?mode=full
2. after, please execute below URL to re-initialize your RWB (runtime work bench)
http://<PI system name>:<http port>/rwb/rtc?op=init
3. If still you do not see any change, then my last take would be....in ID, please open all your communication channels one by one and put some dummy entry in the description field and activate the channel. You need to perform this for all channels.
revert back if problem persists.

  • XI communication channel missing in communication channel monitoring

    Hello partners,
I have a problem with communication channel monitoring.
I have defined a communication channel of Adapter Type = "XI" in the integration directory.
I have also sent messages successfully via this communication channel.
But the communication does not appear in the list of available channels in the selection list of the communication channel monitoring.
Can someone tell me how I can get monitoring info of an "XI" communication channel?

    Hi,
From SP17, you have a new feature
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/44/46d1a56faf52d3e10000000a1553f6/content.htm
<i>The Runtime Workbench has the following new functions:
&#9679; Component monitoring: Communication channel monitor
In component monitoring, you can use the new communication channel monitor to call information about the status of your communication channels and the corresponding adapters. You can also administrate your communication channels.
Unlike the adapter monitor, the communication channel monitor also provides current runtime information about the communication channels of individual adapters, as long as they are registered for communication channel monitoring.
To monitor adapters that do not provide runtime information to communication channel monitoring, continue to use the adapter monitor.</i>

  • Missing communication channel  parameters after upgrade to PI 7.0

    Hi,
we have upgraded XI 3.0 to PI 7.0 following the steps guide without any problem.
    The SLD has been reconfigured.
And XI Content with corresponding version and support package level was imported.
But when we try open the communication channels in ID, does not show us the parameters. Besides, does not let us to create a new communication channel. It seems like doesn't recognize the type adapters.
This problem is with file, rfc, jms types. And we can create channels with XI, http and idoc type.
All the channels works correctly before upgrade.
Thank you very much in advance for your help.

    HI,
I am not sure but check the Parameters in section AdapterFramework in exchange profile also do the CAP cache.
    Give a try.

  • Communication channel creation - Adapter typr missing

    Hi
Im trying to create a communication channel between XI and ECC system and also XI and third part application.
I imported the .TPZ file and Im trying to create a communication channel between XI and ECC.I click on create communication channel under the business system ECC.
But after giving the communication channel name im unable to get any adapter type. There are no adapters here. Where should I configure this?
    Thanks
    Subbu

    Hi,
To see the List of all the Adapter in Adapter list while creating the CC in ID, we have to Import the SAP BASIS 7.00 .TPZ file into IR
    Steps
    1) Download XI7_0_SAP_BASIS_7.00_10_00.tpz which is available in a zipped format from the SAP Service Market Place.
    2) Unzip the contents and copy the file XI7_0_SAP_BASIS_7.00_10_00.tpz (if you are using PI 7.0 or else download the file for your XI version) to
    /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/SYS/global/xi/repository_server/import/
    3) Goto Repository (Design)
    4) Choose -> Tools -> Import Design Objects
Now the adapters should get displayed.
    Thanks

  • SLD, Business System and Missing Communication Channel

    Interesting issue here....
I created a business system, assigned the logical system, ...etc..etc
Imported the swcomp into ID.........completed the scenario..
Now in Communication channel monitoring i dont see the communication channel that i created for the System, i can see it on XI under sxi_cache...........under the business system, I dont see it in communication channel monitoring.
    Venkat

    Hi,
    >>...i dont see it..thats what i meant...no messages for that adaptor,
Clear the Meta Data IDX1 and check the port as Ravi Mentioned IDX2.
After clearing the Meta data try to manually load the Meta data and test it.

  • Missing adapter "templates" - am not able to create communication channel

    Hi guys!
I need to create communication channel in the Directory, but I can't, because if I want to select channel type (soap, http, ...) I get screen with information: No objects found.
    What could be wrong?
    Thanx a lot for answer!
    Olian

    Olian,
In the Integration Repository, you should have a software component SAP BASIS, which contains the adapter metadata. If this is not there, you should import the software component according to the installation guide:
Importing the XI Content for Software Component Version SAP Basis 6.40 SR1
    1. Copy XI3_0_SAP_BASIS_6.40_09_00.tpz from <Components DVD>/XI /XI_CONTENT to directory /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/SYS/global/xi/repository_server/import/
    2. On your SAP XI host, call transaction SXMB_IFR.
    3. Choose Repository (Design).
    4. Choose &#8594; Tools &#8594; Import Design Objects
    2. Choose the file /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/SYS/global/xi/repository_server/import XI3_0_SAP_BASIS_6.40_09_00.tpz
    5. Import the file.

  • Configuring a Communication Channel for an AE other than the default IS

Configuring a Communication Channel for an Adapter Engine other than the default engine.
See:  help.sap.com for Communication Channel http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/1b/d5ef3b1ad56d4fe10000000a114084/frameset.htm
It states under 'Adapter Configuration', that you can specify the Adapter Engine you want to use in the Adapter Engine dropdown box.
I have activated the XI components on my ERP system using transaction SICF, but what do I have to do to make the other adapter engines show up in the dropdown list when configuring an adapter?
Maybe some background would be helpful:  This is for a scenario that will send a file from an external system to one of the ERP systems in our landscape.  BUT, the system admins have decided to revoke our FTP accounts (because they have their reasons), so I need to create a File Adapter that will drop the file on the file system of that ERP system, due to visibility I want to use the integrated Adapter Engine that comes with the ERP system, but need to know how/what I'm missing in setting up this scenario.

    Hi Anesh,
    >>>>but what do I have to do to make the other adapter engines show up in the dropdown list when configuring an adapter?
in order to use some other adapter engine you
have to install it first by dafault only one
(central) adapter engine is used and it is all
    most clients need
if you'd like to use some other adapter engine
(decentralized for example) have a look at thid guide:
<b>Configuring a Local Adapter Engine to Work with a Central Instance</b>

  • File Structure - Sender Communication Channel

    Hi All,
My Sender flat file structure is below like this
    Filed1|Field2|Field3|Field4|Field5|Field6
    Filed1|Field2|Field3|Field4|Field5|Field6
    Filed1|Field2|Field3|Field4|Field5|Field6

    Filed1|Field2|Field3|Field4|Field5|Field6
    Filed1|Field2|Field3|Field4|Field5|Field6
I did the Sender Communication Channel configuration  - Content Conversion
    Document Name : XXX
    Document NameSpace: XXXX
    Recordset Structure: MT_Test,*
    Recordset Sequence: Ascending
    Key field Type: String Case-Sensitvie
    MT_Test.fieldNames: Filed1,Field2,Field3,Field4,Field5,Field6
    MT_Test.fieldSeparator: '|'
    MT_Test.additionalLastFileds: ignore
    MT_Test.endSeparator : 'nl'
    ignoreRecordsetName: true.
But its pick the file, In SXMB_Moni show Currect...
But in Runtime workbench, in Communication Channel moni, it show below like this,
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <ns0:MT_Test xmlns:ns0="http://XXXXX">
    <JOBS />
    </ns0:MT_Test>
What is the Issue, where i missed some thing, In message mapping, its correct..
    Thanks.
    SR

    SR,
I am still little confused with your below statement.
But its pick the file, In SXMB_Moni show Currect...
But in Runtime workbench, in Communication Channel moni, it show below like this,
    >
    > <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    > - <ns0:MT_Test xmlns:ns0="http://XXXXX">
    > <JOBS />
    > </ns0:MT_Test>
You mean to say that in MONI, the mapping output is fine, but when you check the output at RWB -> CC Monitoring for the Sender Channel, then you get the above mentioned XML?
This means that there is nothing wrong with your source CC settings. If the entry in RWB -> Sender CC is wrong, your MONI entry will never be right. So, this is really weird.
What is the source structure that you have defined in DT?

  • Error in JMS Communication Channel not raising alert

Processing Errors in JMS Communication Channel are not raising alerts.
The settings on the communication channel retires are set at 3 and 5min interval.
In RWB the JMS communication channel shows processing errors but an alert is not raised.
The alert are configured in our system and we even have a catch all alert rule with * (wildcard). Errors in PI message processing are raising alerts but errors in Comm Channel are not raising alerts.
The message in SXI_MONITOR shows as processed successfully but when we check the RWB and Comm. Channel Monitoring we see processing errors "Channel error occured; detailed error description: JMS error: Connection to the server has been terminated; Linked error: Connection reset, Error Code:null"
Are we missing any configuration? How do we get alerts/notifications if there are errors in Comm. Channel without having to login into RWB and watch it periodically?
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    RM

    Hi,
What is the staus of Communication channel in RWB when it fails, RED ??if yes then it should genarate alert.
create one more alert for specific to JMS interface and check it out.

  • Dynamic Configuration of Mail receiver Communication Channel

    Hi,
like in /people/william.li/blog/2006/04/18/dynamic-configuration-of-some-communication-channel-parameters-using-message-mapping for http receiver CC, i am trying to do header customisation, with XHeaderName1 for mail header fields like content-type, content-disposition, but it doesn't works ...
in my mapping i've added :
    > (...)
    > DynamicConfigurationKey cDisposition = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http:/""/sap.com/xi/XI/System/Mail", "XHeaderName1");+
    > dynaConf.put(cDisposition, "attachment;filename=myFile.txt");
    in Communication Channel ASMA i've added variable header : XHeaderName1 --> Content-Disposition
in monitoring i see that XHeaderName1 is filled with attachment;filename=myFile.txt
but in the mail send like this, this configuration has no effect
    Someone can help me ?
Edited by: MedAmine on Aug 19, 2009 3:20 PM

Only one standard mail header field can be influenced: this is indeed "Content-Disposition".
You have done halve way, the only thing you have missed is to set the additional parameter 'OMail.AddContentDisposition' to false within 'Advanced Mode'.
Have a look at this WiKi:

  • Error in Receiver JDBC communication channel

    Hi friends,
I am getting an error in communication channel while inserting xml data into ORACLE database. Error is like
"Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Error processing request in sax parser: Error when executing statement for table/stored proc. 'SUB_ORDER_HEADER' (structure 'STATEMENT_SUB_ORDER_HEADER'): java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00936: missing expression ".
In the above error 'SUB_ORDER_HEADER'  is table and 'STATEMENT_SUB_ORDER_HEADER' is a statement tag of XML SQL.
Please help me to solve the issue.
    Regards,
    Santhosh

    Hi,
Since oracle database has all fields in Caps, and also it is case sensitive. So check whether you have the database table name and the field name specified in the datatype are concurrent with the fields and the table name in oracle table.

    Hi

Parameter '.fieldFixedLengths' or '.fieldSeparator' is missing
