Hi All,
I was trying File to file scenario.
I am picking the file from App server(AL11) using NFS Adapter and the processing Mode is Delete
In comm channel monitor it showing an error as
Sender channel error:

Same way while placing the file
Receiver channel error:

Whether i dont have the permission to delete and place the file from and to the App server(AL11)?
What is the procedure in order to make it possible.

XI Communication Channel Error Explanation
Hi All,
Does anyone happen to know :-
1) Is it possible to use CCMS to email the errors coming from a communication channel error Explanation field
2) Are these messages stored in a table I can check
The reason I need to know this is because we sometimes encounter an error such as "Conversion of file content to XML failed at position 838: java.lang.Exception: ERROR converting document line no. 839 according to structure 'XXX_XXX_XXX':java.lang.Exception: ERROR in configuration / structure 'XXX_XXX_XXX.': More elements in file csv structure than field names specified!
This tells us exactly where the error occurred but using Communication Channel Monitoring the error message only remains for a little while before the polling messages remove it from the display. Since the process runs early hours of the morning we never get to see these messages.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
CraigHi Raquel,
Let me try to clear out some things in this thread . First of all you do your alert configuration which you say you have already done. Thats good . Now you ask that you want only to monitor the communication channels and you want specific guide . Here is the specific guide.
If you have configured alerts you will know that when you create an alert rule you have the option to choose radio button where did the error occur it could be no restriction , integration engine or adapter engine. You need to choose adapter engine.
Now whenever the colour of the lights change to red. You will get your alerts.

Getting end-of-file on communication channel error on this query
Hi guys,
I'm getting the end-of-file on communcation channel error when running the following query in SQL PLUS, If run it in a stored procedure called through code of JDBC, it gave "no more data to read from socket" error. Any idea what went wrong? kind of frustrated now. We are using the Oralce 9.0.1.4.0, which suppose to fix some sdo_uion and sdo_buffer bugs. Thanks a lot!!
select SDO_GEOM.SDO_BUFFER((SELECT SDO_AGGR_UNION(MDSYS.SDOAGGRTYPE(GEOLOC, 0.011119487)) FROM GEOTEL_SOURCE where MSA='5000' and COMPANY_NAME ='AMERICAN FIBER SYSTEMS'),1.0,5,'unit=MILE arc_tolerance=0.05') from GEOTEL_SOURCE a where a.MI_PRINX = 1;Hi Daniel,
Just tried the 9.2.0.2 patch, seems to work better now. At least I don't get the end-of-file on communication channel error. But how about the speed thing? I isolated the problem, and find out that sdo_aggr_union is taking too long to finish( 1 Hour!!! for 2300 lines with the same city. Any clue to optimize it, I tried some hint like /*+ordered*/ No_Merge and something like that, does not improve though. Thanks! -
ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel ERROR
After applying Database patch 3095277 to my 9.2.0.1.0 installation
in order to update it to 9.2.0.4.0,I'm getting ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
ERRORS when attempting various tasks. This is a local installation running on a Windows XP Workstation.
I've even tried creating a new test database but the result is the same.
The reason for moving up to 9.2.0.4.0 is so I can start using Advanced Queuing, which I understand had problems in earlier releases.
However before the update I could at least create the JMS queue tables without ERROR whereas now I get the following errors when attempting to create a queue table in SQL Plus from within Enterprise Manager Console.
SQL*Plus: Release 9.2.0.4.0 - Production on Thu Sep 18 08:20:08 2003

BEGIN SYS.DBMS_AQADM.CREATE_QUEUE(Queue_name=> 'JMSQUE',queue_table=> 'JMSQTBL'); END;
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-03114: not connected to ORACLE
I would be grateful of any pointers as to how to resolve this problem.
Regards
Gary.Chris, Thanks for the suggestion,
I took a look in the trace log and found the following entries that point to a ORA-00600 as you mentioned earlier.
This is only a test database so there's no great loss if
I have to re create it, but in saying that I did create a new test02 from scratch and had the same problem.
Is it posible something went wrong when applying the 9.2.0.4.0 patch ?.
Regards
Gary.

Receiver JDBC Channel Error : Incorrect syntax near 'OR'
hi,
we are facing the below error at the receiver communication channel:
Error while parsing or executing XML-SQL document: Error processing request in sax parser: Error when executing statement for table/stored proc. 'table' (structure 'statement'): com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Incorrect syntax near 'OR'.
When we again reprocess the message,it shows the exact error at the channel.
Any ideas why the first error shows up?Hi, Anu
The most probable it's that your target XML it's not correct because it haven't a correct format.
Please, check your target XML and see

Communication Channel error (Device busy)
HI all,
i have a problem with sender communication channel (CC) (type file) on PI 7.1
The CC has follow error:
Delivering the message to the application using connection File_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: java.io.FileNotFoundException: /IFR_PI/prd/out/TYPEB/SEDE_PV/PV_ART/VARGPV_I003 (Device busy).
Anyone can help me to understand this error?
Thanks in advance
PMHi,
The file size is a drawback of file adapter.
Check the note Note 821267 - FAQ: XI 3.0 / PI 7.0/ PI 7.1 File Adapter
See point 14. Memory Requirements
Indeed the error is IO Error and it is because the Adapter engine was not able to send the message to Integration server. But it happens due to memory/heap size issues.
Look at these thread, they are having the same problem. Please try the remedy measures suggested by them

JDBC to JDBC Scenario - Communications Channel Error
I am following the published JDBC to JDBC Scenario:
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/xi/step-by-step+guides
I am a 3rd Party Vendor, and I'm using NX7: SAP Exchange Infrastructure. My goal is to have a JDBC Sender that sends MS Access data from my PC to NX7, and have a JDBC Receiver that receives MS Access data, and map the data from one database to the other via XI per the scenario, with both databases on my PC.
I set up the NX7 SAP XI per the scenario, but I'm getting an error on the NX7 Communications Channel:
Error during database connection to the database URL 'jdbc:odbc:Driver={Microsoft Access Driver(.mdb)};DBQ=//204.245.44.232/C:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Documents/XI_FILES/SENDER/STUDENT_Database.mdb' using the JDBC driver 'sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver': 'com.sap.aii.adapter.jdbc.sql.DriverManagerException: Cannot establish connection to URL 'jdbc:odbc:Driver={Microsoft Access Driver(.mdb)};DBQ=//204.245.44.232/C:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Documents/XI_FILES/SENDER/STUDENT_Database.mdb': SQLException: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified'
The data source is in
C:/Documents and Settings/All Users/Documents/XI_FILES/SENDER/STUDENT_Database.mdb on my PC and it is a shared folder. My PC IP 204.245.44.232 is a public IP address. It should be using the JDBC-ODBC bridge driver in the JDK.
Why am I getting the error?
Thanks,
Ed CulnaneHi
Connection Parameters are of given below check
Transport Protocol: JDBC 2.0
Message Protocol: XML SQL Format
Adapter Engine: Integration Server
JDBC Driver: jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver
Connection: jdbc:odbc:Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};DBQ=//xiserver/xitemp/db/TestDB.mdb
5) In my case there is no userid and password required, but if you have userid and password, then the parameter for Connection becomes,
jdbc:odbc:Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};DBQ=//xiserver/xitemp/db/TestDB.mdb;Uid=yourid;Pwd=yourpwd;
Well ms access file should be in the XI Server path or it should be able to accessed by the XI
Try this above option of keeping u r file in the XI Server path instead of the local

Communication Channel Errors to be monitored in CCMS
Hi,
We have set up CCMS Monitoring templates for PI monitoring. We have a business requirment to send communication channel errors to the IT team via CCMS
We have configured ALERTCATEGORIES and defined alert rules. The communication channel errors result in alerts. These alert categories are visible under the CCMS PI monitoring template.
What is not getting transmitted is the alert long and short text in CCMS.
is there any way to achieve this?
Please point to how to guide or blogs for the same.
Thanks

In the XI doesn't give me any error, nothing. The IDOC says thta it has been sent correctly (Code 3). How can I trace the IDOC from de sender to the XI?

IDoc adapter inbound channel: Error Error when reading Exchange Profile
Hello Experts,
Currently i am working on an IDOC to file scenario, in which Data will be sent from ECC server (IDOC) to an FTP server via SAP PI, but when i try to send IDOC to PI, i am getting the following error
in Transaction SM58:-
'IDoc adapter inbound channel: Error Error when reading Exchange Profile for system XID and
client 401 occurred in the IS pipeline' .
Can anyone please help me on this.
Thanks & Regards,
Amit NaikHello Experts,
Let me explain to you the whole scenario, We have two servers of PI, 7.1 & 7.0. Now the Java Stack of 7.0 is not working & Cache update of 7.1 is not happening.
Thats why we have linked ABAP stack of 7.0 with Java stack of 7.1. Now we can see the objects created under Java 7.1 in ABAP stack of 7.0 (SXI_CACHE).
Now we have done all the settings to create an IDOC to file scenario. All the RFCs are working fine, but when we send an IDOC from the ECC system to ABAP 7.0, we are getting the following error 'Error while reading exchange profile for system NW' in SM58 .
Now can anyone tell me what exact settings i have to change in the Exchange profile (Java stack of 7.1), so that the Java 7.1 & ABAP 7.0 connection is setup or do i need to change anything else.
Thanks & Regards,

IDoc adapter inbound channel: Error Error while read
Dear All
I am sending idoc from SAP 4.6C to PI. But on SM58 I am getting an error
IDoc adapter inbound channel: Error Error when reading
Which is not complete because field length is 50 characters , double clicking on this message is asking for message class. How can i see the complete message.
Can any one send me configuration detail of receiving IDOC at PI end , I don't want send to it forward from PI.Please clear these points.
In PI system:
1. Create RFC destination of type 3 pointing to R/3 system.
2 . create Port using the IDX1 t-code port name should be SAP + SYSTEM ID OF R/3 system.
3. Using IDX2 import the IDOC meta data in to your PI system.
RFC destination to which direction , towards sender of IDOC ?
Port of which system sender system or receiver system?
What about configuration in Integration Directory , is there any configuration required on integration repository and on integration directory.
What will be the procedure of seeing complete message on SM58.
-->In PI system while ur creating the RFC destination of type 3 give the hostname and system number of ur R/3 system ie SAP 4.6 c.
-->In PI create Port using the IDX1 t-code port name should be SAP + SYSTEM ID OF R/3 system and in that RFC destination option, maintaine the destinatination name which we created using sm59.
-->coming to IR you need to create the:
1. Receiver data type.
2. receiver message type
3. receiver message interface. No need to create the above 3 for sender.
4.while mapping source is your Idoc and target is your receiver message type.
5. while interface mapping source is Idoc and target is receiver interface.
-->Coming to ID no need to create sender communication channel and no need to create sender agreement.
-->create receiver communication channel and receiver agreement.
--->create Interface determination.
-->create receiver determination.
-->If message got stuck in SM58, unlock it by using double click or activate the selected message.

IDoc adapter inbound channel: Error Connection err
Hi,
We are trying to push an IDoc from R3, it's status is green in WE02. However, the IDoc is not reaching PI.
In tcode SM58 in R3 we are getting an error "IDoc adapter inbound channel: Error Connection err". I have gone through the SAP note 940313 but was not able to figure out the exact cause of error.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards
PraveshHi,
Please check the steps for Idoc posting to SAP PI system from R/3. Probably you are missing some configuration.
Few Checks -
1. did you created Logical System using BD54?
2. Create RFC destination Type 3 for PI
3. create partner profile using we20
In Pi
Check following
1. Create RFC destination of type 3 pointing to R/3 system.
2 . create Port using the IDX1
3. Using IDX2 import the IDOC meta data
