Communicator is looking to incorrect exchange server for security certificate

We are running Exchange 2010 and retiring a 2007 Exchange server. They are both still on our network but all mail routes through the 2010 server. The ssl certificate on our 2007 server expired today and Communicator is coming up with a warning when launched
warning that the 2007's cert expired. How do I get communicator to use the 2010 certificate instead?

Where do your Exchange autodiscover records point? Are all users on Exchange 2010?

Hi all,
From time to time (at least once a day), the following message pops up on the user's screen:
"There is a problem with the proxy server's security certificate. Outlook is unable to connect to the proxy server . Error Code 80000000)."
If we click "OK" it goes away and everything continues to work although sometimes Outlook disconnects. It is quite annoying...
Any ideas?

For the security alert issue, I'd like to recommend you check the name in the alert windows, and confirm if the name is in your certificate.
Additionally, to narrow down the cause, when the Outlook client cannot connect again, I recommand you firstly check the connectivity by using Test E-mail AutoConfiguration. For more information, you can refe to the following article:

Good day Guys
First of all I am not an Exchange Expert, and I might be asking a very stupid question, but please bare with me. :)
While I was on leave our Mail server fell over and The company got a Specialist to help out for the time being.
We where\are on Microsoft Exchange 2007 , which Fell over, and the specialist was able to recover as much data as he could.
They then installed Exchange 2013 and tried to migrate everything from 2007 to 2013 and not everything migrated over.
But the problem is, Outlook Anywhere was enable on 2007 and worked a 100% (before the disaster)
With Exchange 2013 I get the following error message when trying to connect With Outlook 2013, using an external connection:
"There is a problem with the proxy server's security certificate. The name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the target site "Mailserver"
Outlook is unable to connect to the Proxy server. (Error Code 0)"
Has anyone had the Similar when migrating over from 2007 to 2013 or is this an Issue on IIS and nothing to do with Exchange migration?

Firstly, I would suggest we use Exchange 2013 FE as the Outlook Anywhere proxy server.
For the certificate issue, it mostly occurs because the host name that Outlook are trying to access does not match the certificate SAN. Please check with this point. If they do not match, you
can change the host name by referring to the following article:

I have an issue with connecting client SB1H on Windows, the scenario is as follows:
1.- Server:
     Suse Linux Enterprise Server 11.3 kernel version: 3.0.76-0.11 IBM
     NDB and Server are review 69 SP06
2.- Client:
     Windows 8 Pro Virtual Machine on Microsoft Hyper-V
     SB1H PL 11 version 32bits
     SAP HANA Studio version 1.0.60
When I run SB1H the following message appears:
There is a problem with the server's security certificate. The security certificate is not from a trusted certifying authority. SAP Business One is unable to connect to the server.
Any idea what could be the solution?

MS Exchange Server for Mac version

Just switched to Mac, and love it. I must access access corporate email from MS Exchange server. Mac version of Safari 3 keeps giving me an error that password or username are incorrect, and will not proceed. Windows Safari version 3 opened mail with no problems. Any ideas?

Just to chime in here.
I too am having problems logging into Outlook Web Access on an Exchange 2000 server. It keeps asking my for my login info. Once I log in, I go to a message and it asks me again. When I try to access the exchange server locally, Safari just crashes. Same on Windows Safari.
I know the easy thing to do would be to use Firefox, but I don't want to have to tell all my Mac users they have to use Firefox when it worked perfectly well on Safari 2 and Safari 3 Beta.

XP Outlook 2007 not connecting to exchange server for office365 mail

Here is the deal it is the workstation it self no one can get there account to connect through outlook on the work station the person who's work station it is can connect with outlook on other work stations.
1. First thing it does is continues to prompt for user name/ password window.
2. After 2 popups of name/ password It states "Outlook cannot log on. Verify you are connected to the network and are using the proper server and mailbox name. The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must
be online or connected to complete this action."
3. I have then gone through control panel > mail > Show Profiles > Removed the only profile > Add profile > Pop-up for username/ password appears > fill it in > Add new email account then pops-up > fill in Name, Email Adress,
Password, Retype Password > Configuring - green checkmark on "Establish network connection" - bullet arrow at "Search for johndoe@blankcom server settings" then pop-up for "User Name: Password:" form filled in
- pop-up reappears and form filled out for 10 times > cancel > pop-up "The action cannot be complerted. The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action." >
Click "OK" > Microsoft Exchange form pop-up "Microsoft Exchange server:/Mailbox:" form is already filled out Click "OK" > pop-up "The action cannot be complerted. The connection to Microsoft Exchange

3. Have ran MCATest Results are auto discover successful with errors. Errors are as follows
1>Testing TCP port 443 on host dot.ny.gov to ensure it's listening and open.
The specified port is either blocked, not listening, or not producing the expected response.

Yes we have narrowed it back to the workstation as the user can sign on other workstations through outlook and when using the control right click and checking connectivity activity. This work station tries to connect to the right server name as the
one that does connect. But it hangs up there using the same server name, type- directory, status-connecting then asks for user name password. No change is status after it is filled out and OK is pressed.

Settings on Microsoft Exchange Server for sending Email from BW to emailid

I wanted to know that for sending Email from SAP System (that is via Information broadcasting feature of BW )to Email IDS of individuals do we need to make any configurations on Exchange Server as well or some RFC between Microsoft Exchange Server and BW .I have made all settings for SMTP through SCOT transaction but still not able to send mails.From our Exchange Server,the connector is removed ,do we need to reconnect it for this purpose.kindly please tell me wt all configurations do i need to make on Mail server for sending Emails as iam not able to do the same now.If somebody can send a PDF/Word document in support for the same on my email Id [email protected] ,i shall be highly obliged.Your help shall be appreciated ,kindly revert at earliest.

Exchange Server 2013: Internal Certificate Issue

Dear All,
I have MS Exchange 2013 with domain name: Exchange.local (fqdn: ex001.exchange.local).
I had created the accepted domain for xyz.com. I bought the Wildcard Certificate for *xyz.com. I had issued the certificate to my MS Exchange server.
External/Internet users: they can setting up and connected with MS Outlook
but I had problem with internal. when I setup account to MS Outlook. it failed and cannot connected to MS Exchange server because invalid ex001.exchange.local.
Do you have best solution and commend on this issue for internal users?

For Autodiscover URL:
If you are using a single server or all servers are in the same AD site, then the following commands can be used:
Get-ClientAccessServer | Set-ClientAccessServer -AutodiscoverServiceInternalUri https://mail.example.net/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml
However if you are using multiple servers in multiple AD sites, then you need to set the commands as per the box below, replacing "CAS-Server" with the real name of the server that holds the CAS role.
Set-ClientAccessServer -Identity "CAS-Server" -AutodiscoverServiceInternalUri https://mail.example.net/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml
For Webservices URL:
As with Autodiscover, if you are using a single server then the following commands can be used:
Get-WebServicesVirtualDirectory | Set-WebServicesVirtualDirectory -InternalUrl https://mail.example.net/ews/exchange.asmx -ExternalUrl https://mail.example.net/ews/exchange.asmx

For Outlook Anywhere URL:
Right click on the Client Access Server and choose Properties. Click on the tab Outlook Anywhere and adjust the URL to match the external name on the SSL certificate.
You should also need to check OAB Virtual Directory on IIS and see if it is enabled for SSL.
And you should have a Split DNS in this case.

The server's security certificate is not yet valid!

I am getting this message with Google Chrome to access https sites (facebook.com for instance.
This message is only received with my primary user, other users function properly.
The system clock is set automatically and is showing the correct date.
Advancing the system time setting manually about 2.5 month or so the browser returns an "expired" message.
I am in web development and cannot simply replace my default user.
Is there anywhere I can look to see what is causing this error?

Are you seeing the same security certificate issue in Safari? The article linked below provides some information and a troubleshooting suggestion that may resolve the issue.
OS X Mavericks: If your certificate isn’t being accepted

If a certificate is not accepted, it may have expired or it may be invalid for the use to which it is being applied. For example, some certificates may be used for establishing a secure connection to a server but not for signing a document.
The most common reason a certificate isn’t accepted is that the certificate authority’s root certificate isn’t trusted by your computer. Before your computer will trust a certificate authority, you must add the certificate authority to a keychain and set the certificate trust settings.
Some apps (such as Safari) display the root certificate from the certificate authority as part of the message from the certificate authority. In this case, drag the root certificate icon to the desktop.
Drag the certificate file onto the Keychain Access icon, or double-click the certificate file.
Choose a keychain from the pop-up menu, then click OK.If you’re asked, type the name and password for an administrator user on this computer.
Select the certificate, then choose File > Get Info.
Click the Trust Settings disclosure triangle to display the trust policies for the certificate.
To override the trust policies, select new trust settings from the pop-up menus.

How do I add an exception for a subnet for security certificates?

I am trying to allow a local subnet to not have to be prompted for the security certificates each time the PC needs one. Any ideas? i've checked in FF and IE both, neither are cooperating.

Changing Partern Exchange Server for Unity

Wondering if anyone has had experience with this:
We need to shut down our old 2003 Exchange box and use our Exchange 2007 box exclusively. The issue is our Unity 7 box is using our 2003 Exchange as it's partner server and need to change it to our 2007 box instead.
I've read some documentation on it, but can't find anything specific to our versions listed previously and just wondering if there are any gotchas involved or if this is fairly straight forward.
Any steps you've followed to be successful would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Unity 7.x documentation is the same as Unity 5.x - there is no specific 7.x documentation. The 2 versions are so close that they are interchangeable from a setup/reconfiguration perspective. Check this link here for info:

Incorrect exchange rate for Actual cost documents

I have an actual cost documents which was created on 02.10.2006,it should be taking the value date for currency exchange as 01.09.2006,but it is taking 01.

I agree with Erland. (Always a good idea.) Changing the port doesn't help much to prevent attacks. If you decide to do that see Configure a Server to Listen on a Specific TCP Port (SQL Server Configuration Manager)

I am receiving the above message for internal Outlook 2013 users when they open Outlook. Despite this message, Outlook is fully functional. External OA users do not see this message. We are using an SRV record for our autodiscover and pointing it to the
name on the single cert we have. I've also already changed the outlookprovider record in Exchange. Any ideas?

I want to know where site exceptions for security certificates are

I read all of the information on the page

and while the information located there is good, it leaves me still with the nagging question of ''where'' the '''This Connection Is Untrusted''' and the '''Security Exception''' for an invalid certificate is located; in case... you know, I want to edit that in the future.

\Firefox\Options\Options; and under the "Advanced" tab, go to the "Encryption" tab
