Community Support Center (Photoshop Help) update fails...

Each time I try to open the CSC it tries to update and fails, with the following error message: "the application could not be installed because the installer file is damaged"  Consequently, I can't use the CSC.
I was able to find instructions for solving this problem for the MAC :  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/867/cpsid_86752.html
"Set the following directories to your User ID and not root:
/User/[your username]/Library/Application Support/Adobe
/User/[your username]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AIR"
but can't find anything for Windows. I am running Windows 7.
Is anyone able to translate those MAC instructions for use with Windows? None of the listed MAC directories apply to my PC.
Thanks.

  • Cc Photoshop 2014 update fails error U43M1D206

cc Photoshop 2014 update fails error U43M1D206. Anyone know how to fix this?

Thank you for taking the time to help, I appreciate it. I noted the posting in case it helps in future. Unfortunately, didn't help this time. All the other programs update fine - nothing wrong with connection. Photoshop (2014) simply would not apply patch. Also couldn't apply patch manually. Completely uninstalled the program, eventually completely uninstalled every program and Adobe Creative Cloud app altogether. Still didn't help, on reloading Photoshop (2014) still will not patch. In the end I have opted for Photoshop CC (NOT 2014) and it updates fine.

  • Why does Photoshop CS6 Update fail?

I subscribed to Creative Cloud (CS6) and none of the Photoshop PS6 updates work.  Every time I attempt to update PS6 the past four weeks, I get this error message: "Update Failed- Errors encountered during installation.(U44M1P7)." How to fix? My PS6 won't update, and Adobe tech support hasn't been able to help, I've contacted them via CHAT twice.  I'm running an iMac with 12GB of RAM, OSX 10.8.4.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks.

In February 2013 I installed CS 6 Design Standard on an iMac 2013 with Fusion Drive running OS 10.8.4 and I've never been able to update.
The updates always fail with this report: There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U43M1D204.
When you click the customer support link in that message you go to a Creative Cloud page with no useful links.
I am still using CS 6 but I would like to update.

    Ideas?

    Hi
In order to fix  update failed issue for Photoshop CC and Photoshop CC 2014
we will close CC from activity monitor (MAC any version )or Task manager ( for Windows ) as per OS. And then we can rename the Media_db.db as Media_db.dbold.db once this is done please launch the CC app and see the Photoshop CC and Photoshop CC 2014 should be showing  Up to date with green check mark ( means -it got updated manually by renaming the db file )
    location for Media_db.db is     for MAC -          System/Library/Application Support/Adobe/caps
                                                for WINDOWS - C:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Adobe\caps
Open Caps folder to get Media_db.db
Hope this will resolve the issue.

  • Photoshop CS6 Update Fails

I have attempted three times to update Photoshop CS6 (to v. 13.1.2) via the Creative Cloud panel. Failed three times.
I attempted to Update Photoshop CS6 from the application Help>Update. Failed again.
Your lame downloads are burning up my lame satellite ISP allowance.
How can I get Photoshop CS6 for Mac upgraded to v 13.1.2?
    Thank you.

Do you receive any specific error messages?  Which operating system are you using?  You may want to begin diagnosing your difficulties by reviewing your installation logs for the update.  You can find details on how to locate and interpret the log files at Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html.

  • Why does Photoshop CC update fail?

Hi, This is my second request for help on this matter. I followed the advice to run the Adobe Cloud Cleaner. I uninstalled Photoshop from my Windows 8 system and opened the Cleaner. I was asked questions via a small window - it wasn't possible to enlagre the window to see all the texts. I entered the y to all and I waited until it finished cleaning.  It reported that there were issues but didn't explain further.  I noticed that the Creative Cloud Manager icon had disappeared so I tried to download Photoshop CC but it failed.
Now I have work backing up!
Please help with advice that is as non-technical as possible.
    Regards
    Bill Watters

Please try again on a different browser, it will work, I have send a copy of it in your private messages as well as mail.

  • P775 S7100 Product Support in Brazil - Bios update fail

I updated my BIOS to 2.1 and when I tried to restart the computer, it just hangs on loading Windows files. My laptop is completely inoperative now.
I've bought it in USA but now I'm living in Brazil and here I could not find a toshiba support to repair it.
Anybody here can help me with this problem? To fix my computer or just to find toshiba assistance here in brazil?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I also have bought a Satellite P55t-A5202. AFter 12 days the laptop could not be turned on. Simple like that. I tried to call Toshiba in the US, but the girl told me the warranty do not cover Brazil. It covers all other SA countries but not Brazil. I would have to get back to US, have my product repaired, and get back to Brazil.
Following Jerry's advise. I called SEMP TOSHIBA in Brazil and I was informed that they could take care of my problem, once my product was covered my the warranty of TOSHIBA USA.
AT THE END OF THE DAY, IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU CALL GOD IN BRAZIL. YOU WONT HAVE ANY SUPPORT FROM TOSHIBA.

  • Photoshop CC update fails

Running win 8.1 on Dell I-7 16Gig mem. with nvidia 750M. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling got same issue gave error on install patch failed to upfate.
    Any ideas?

log out and then log back into your cc app
if that fails, close and then reopen your cc app
    if that fails,
Close the Creative Cloud application if it's running.
    Navigate to the OOBE folder.
    Windows: [System drive]:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
    Mac OS: /User/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE folder
Rename the opm.db file to opm_old.db
    Launch Creative Cloud

  • Compaq presario cq60 210-us bios update failed

I tried to update the BIOS of my Compaq Presario CQ60-210US notebook using the driver downloaded from the HP Support website. The update failed, the computer locked up and would not take any input from the keyboard or the mousepad. I did a hard reset and now the notebook won't boot at all.
I tried following the steps to restore a corrupted BIOS (windows key + B + power for 3 seconds) several times but the notebook still will not boot.
There are instructions for using an HP_TOOLS USB drive to restore the BIOS, but I can't figure out how to create that USB drive. There are no links and no instructions to create it. When I search HP.com it takes me right back to the same page.
