¿Como importar DBF a Oracle?

Necesito importar archivos DBF en Oracle, ¿hay componentes que pueden hacer esto?

Hi,
What do you mean by 'dbf' file? The default name most people choose for oracle database files is filename.dbf - these files are in a binary format that you cannot read and will only make sense when they are part of the database.
I assume you are talking about just some sort of text file that contains data you can actually read  in notepad/vi? and that this file has just been given the fileextension dbf?
If the file is just text then the tool you probably want to use is sqlldr which will read your file and based on a control file you create load this into a table of your choosing.
Does that help? Can you post some lines from your 'dbf' file here?

Harry

    Sir,
    How can i convert data from DBF to oracle database 10g?

    Regarding SQL*Loader, hope this demo makes it a bit clear to you...

    I agree that it is an old web page (references Oracle 8.0.5) but basics remain the same.
    If it is still unclear to you after referring above link, then get an Oracle consultant.

  • DBF- ODBC- Oracle: ORA-02041

    How to transfer data from .DBF-tables to Oracle ?
    Server=Oracle 9.0.1.1.1 on Win2000Server SP2
    client=ODBC-application (Visual Foxpro 6.0 SP5)

    I use Oracle heterogeneous service.

    All work fine.
    In VFP put command: sqlexec(hconn,'select * from table@hsodbc','table')

  • Migrating Dbase III .dbf to Oracle 8i

    I have some dbaseIII .dbf files with some existing records. Is there any way to migrate this data in Oracle8i databases using some tools? (besides using SQL*Loader)
    Oracle Migration Workbench tool doesnot have an option of DBASE-III to capture source model.
    Can anyone help me? Please mail me on [email protected]
    Thanks,
    Uday.

    I think SQL*Loader is your best option. Create the tables in advance first. I am not aware of any utilities.
    If you have an ODBC driver for Dbase IIII, it maybe possible to leverage our Generic Gateway functionality which is part of Oracle9i to migrate the data, and possibly even create the tables as well, using (CREATE TABLE as SELECT)

    Gracias.

    Que yo sepa, "la" forma de hacerlo es en el archivo original (del cual se hizo el PDF). También se podría en un espacio en blanco, creando allí un campo de formulario y colocando en éste el EPS; pero los resultados serán siempre mejores trabajando en el original.

    You forgot to mention that you need to actually move the files, at the os level. All the above does is change their entries in the control file. It doesn't do anything at all to the files themselves.

    No need for the shutdown. You could just ALTER DATBASE OPEN.

    alter database backup controlfile to trace;
    and you can then copy and paste from that ...
    Simpler, just select from dba_data_files.
    eta. of course assuming you mean move your database files rather than your installation

    hello,
    check http://otn.oracle.com/tech/migration/content.html
    for further information on migrating different types of data to oracle. the easiest way would be to import your foxpro data into microsoft access and then migrate this access-database using the GUI tool you also find at the location mentioned above.

    I have tweaked the shared memory max as suggested in Oracle Manual / SAP Installation Guide, to no avail.
    The listener is up already.
    When I logged in as user ORA<SID>, and go to svrmgrl > startup nomount pfile=init.ora, it can startup without hassle.
    Although the Product is not supported in PAM, we have another machine running smoothly for years with this product combination, so it's not the product compatibility issues.
    But when using R3SETUP -f DATABASE.R3S, the phase stopped with the log pasted above.
    Any ideas, gurus?
    Thanks for help.
