Como imprimo reportes desde Labview 8.0

Hola a todos, tengo un problema, necesito crear un reporte e imprimir el mismo desde Labview, estoy utilizando la version Labview 8.0.

LV tiene excelentes ejemplos, ve a Help >> Find Examples... >> [En la opcion de Browse/Task] Printing and Publishing Data >> Generating Reports. Ahi vienen muy buenos a los que yo he usado como referencia.

Tengo un AddOn creado y que funciona correctamente...
También tengo un Report en SBO..
Primero...necesito saber como imprimir ese reporte desde mi AddOn...
y también necesito saber como pasar parámetros a la consulta que genera el Reporte para así imprimirlo según la opción que elija el usuario...
¿¿Alguien puede ayudar??

bueno.. te cuento.. la cosa es bien simple... hice un AddOn con un par de pantallas.. que trabajan sobre tablas de usuario (2 tablas)...
El AddOn lo unico que hace es leer la información de las tablas a través de un procedimiento almacenado y traerlas a la pantalla donde pueden actualizar ciertos datos. En la segunda pantalla del AddOn tengo mas o menos la misma info con la diferencia que no se puede actualizar los datos...
bueno aquí es donde quiero poner un botón "imprimir".. que me lleve a lgun cuadro de diálogo donde pueda indicar la impresora de destino e imprimir...
Por supuesto, aquí debe estar "configurado" mi reporte que lo creé en el mismo SBO con el diseñador de reportes... entonces mi pregunta es esa ¿como llamo a mi reporte desde mi código? ¿se puede?
bueno.. pregunto ya que es lo único que necesito... es importante que sepas que soy novato en el manejo de SBO en ambiente de desarrollo... de hecho es el primer AddOn que hago...

Ejecutar m files de matlab desde labview

Hola!
Me gustaría saber cmo es posible ejecutar m-files de matlab desde Labview, es decir llamar desde Labview que se ejecute un m-file ya creado y poder recuperar la información resultante como puede ser un conjunto de matrices. No se si puede hacer directamente con el labview o hace falta alguna toolkit concreta.

Si tiene el paquete completo o profesional de Labview entonces tiene el script de Matlab ( lo puede encontrar en paleta de funciones>>Análisis>>Matemáticas>>Formula>>Script de Matlab.
Para que le funcione este script debe tener instalado matlab, y dentro del script puede ejecutar directamente código de Matlab.

COMO CREAR EJECUTABLE DESDE CRYSTAL REPORTS VERSION XXI

A diferencia de versiones anteriores, en la XI no localizo como crear un ejecutable (.exe), de un report creado, para que sea lanzado desde otra máquina.

Estimados usuarios del foro, quisiera agradecerles por la pronta ayuda y todas la sugerencias, me agrada informarles que encontré la causa y la solución a mi problema, ahora se los detallo para futuras cuestiones.
Después de hacer las pruebas respectivas en mi oficina y en mi equipo pudimos notar que el error era bastante descriptivo (menú no encontrado efectivamente).
Debido a que uno de los Add-ons (extra) que utilizábamos crea un modulo adicional el Add-on del Crystal Reports permite la adición de reportes a ese modulo y también crea un acceso directo en el mismo para el acceso a esos reportes, lo que significa que al iniciar el Add-on de Crystal necesariamente tiene que estar instalado e iniciado el Add-on "extra", caso contrario (obtendremos el mensaje u201CMenu not foundu201D) el Crystal no encuentra el modulo para añadir los accesos directos ni la relación con los reportes agregados a ese modulo.
- Si se desea eliminar la dependencia del Add-on del Crystal Reports con el Add-on "extra" instalado se deben cambiar de modulo todos los reportes asignados al modulo creado por el Add-on "extra".
Sin otro particular, espero no duden en realizar alguna consulta.

Muchas gracias por utilizar los foros de National Instruments!! Para poder escribir datos a una base de mySQL, puedes utilizar el Database Connetivity Toolkit. Esta herramienta de LabVIEW te permite trabajar de distintas formas para la escritura a la base de datos. Existen diferentes ejemplos en el Example Finder de LabVIEW, los cuales puedes tomar como base para probar la conexión e implementar esta sección en tu aplicación actual. Si buscas la palabra ''SQL'' en la pestaña de Search del Example Finder, encontrarás los ejemplos que te menciono.

Pues basicamente la configuracion en Labview es muy similar a como si fuera un RS232, lo veo mas complejo desde el lado del PIC y de las conexiones.

How can I create a Report with LabView Real-Time?

With conventional LabView, I can create Reports in HTML, for example to document Errors.
I need this feature in LabView Realtime. Is it possible?

It is possible, but you got to put a name to the file with an extension of three letters. i.e. errors.htm
Three letters on the extension is what the RT Operating system allows to use.
Then you will need to do an ftp to your RT machine and get the file and maybe change the extensions.
Not all the vis for Report generation can be used in the RT engine. The ones that use ACTIVE X will not work. i.e printting
Another way to generate reports and the most recommended is to use the host machine to generate the reports.

How can I find outliers in a DIAdem report using LabVIEW

I am new to DIAdem and I am trying to take a DIAdem report and find the outliers and mark them with an 'X'. I found an example of this but it uses a VB script. The example has a constant to determine what is an outlier. I need this to be a variable. Thanks for the help in advance.

Hello AJL,
an easy way to realize your task would be to use the VBS script you allready found.
You can call a VBS with the "Diadem run script.vi". Inside the VBS, just locate the parameter you want to change and replace it with one of the DIadem Variables (for a realvalue you could use R1 for instance). You do not need to declare those internal variables initially, they are part of DIAdem and free for everybody to use. Just make sure it is not used a second time in the script you are calling. Then, prior to running the script you just have to set the respecting variable with the "DIAdem variable set.vi". This allows you to change DIAdem command parameters from your LabVIEW vi.
Both VIs I mentioned above are part of the LabVIEW DIAdem Toolkit. In case you don't have it yet, you can download the functions at

Bug report: on LabVIEW 2011 SP1 and Windows 8 'Open URL in default browser.vi'

Dear colleagues,
Here is a bug report.
Culprit: 'Open URL in default browser.vi'.
System: Windows 8, Professional. LabVIEW 2011 SP1.
Abnormal behaviour and steps to reproduce:
Above mentioned VI doesn't work when LabVIEW was started with administrator privilegies. And it works as expected when LabVIEW running in normal (non-administrator) mode.
Looking forward to see this fixed.

Unfortunately LabVIEW 2011 SP1 does not support Windows 8. I tested this behavior with LabVIEW 2012 SP1 on Windows 8 and everything worked correctly.

Power point report using LabVIEW

Hai,
i am trying to generate some kind of reports in power point tthrough labview.
I have been searching in the net. i don't get the complete details like creating new slide , editing it and so on. Rather i could get details only for running the slide show.
i have tried with activex vis automation open.vi with the reference as MS- power point documnet window, slides ,etc.
that vi throws "not creatable object" for almost all reference except power point application reference.
Has anyone done this kind work with labview.
If anyone has idea about this please tell me how to do this.

For adding a slide, see the quoted text in that document and corresponding example which starts "The following example adds a slide to the beginning of Sample Presentation."
Remember, the ActiveX API exposed by Powerpoint (or any other application with an ActiveX Server) is entirely independent of LabVIEW, so even a text based example suffices to elucidate the necessary calls to the API. It turns out that with a "presentation" reference we can get a "slides" reference using a property node, and then get to the "add" method using an invoke node. The attached screenshot (also shown below) shows how to expose this method in LabVIEW.
