Quiero restaurar OS X lion 10.7.5 pero en casa mi internet va fatal (me pide 65 hrs de descarga y se fractura todo el tiempo) voy a la ciudad y quiero descargar el dmg para despues instalarlo en casa pero no encuentro el download en la appstore ni en ninguna fuente confiable ¡que puedo hacer? Su disco de restauración USB es una burla, hace lo mismo que lo que hace la compu con solo cmd+R eswtos de Mac han dejado de pensar en el usuario!!!

After Lion upgrade, camera does not work on internet services like facebook
After upgrading to Lion, the onboard camera no longer works with internet sites like Facebook.
I tried this with Safari and Google Chrome with the same lack of results.
You will select take photo in Facebook and the next screen is locked up. This failure occurred on two separat Macbooks.
Yet this does not happen with my Macbooks with Snow Leapord - I tried.
Any ideas on how to fix this.
Lion appears to be the first Windows like Mac operating system (glitchy). Not ready for primetime. Is this an omen of what Apple without Jobs will be like (again).
My second computer to be upgraded had conflicts with certain start-up programs that had the effect of locking out the Internet connection.
I had to manually delete these programs to get Internet to work.Seeing the same issue on a C2D Macbook, camera worked fine yesterday afternoon using GTalk. Upgraded to Lion last night now the camera no longer shows up in any of the utilities that used to be able to see it. Don't buy the "Must be a hardware problem" too wide spread for it to not be software related.

I upgraded to mountain lion. Now my virgin mobile broadband internet card will not work
I uninstalled the broadband software and then tried to reistall it but it will not work. I pluged in my usb card but it doesn't show that it is pluged in. I tried the card on my girlfriends computer and it works. I pluged a camera in my usb port and that works. Can anyone help me out.
ThanksMy internet card will only work on 32bit,and it sounds like mountain lion only works on 64bit so that must be my problem. I think I will have to upgrade my internet or go back to lion.

I recently installed Os Lion and now keep losing my internet connection, numerous times a day. Before the upgrade, I never had a connectivity issue. Can you advise me how to correct this problem?

What is the best way to install Lion if I have a very slow internet connection ?
This installation is going to be a very big problem for me and I am ****** that no CD will be available.I have a Mac Pro and I can't go carting that around to an Apple store over 4 1/2 hours away.Trying to download huge files is a nightmare because it can take days and sometimes does not even mount when downloaded.I can't even use my connection for anything else while I download this big a file.

Ox s lion reinstall now can't connect to Internet
Reinstalled os x lion once finished I was no longer able to connect to the Internet! click on safari icon warning comes up immediately saying safari quit unexpectedly. Click reopen to open application again. And it just brings up another warning box??
What version of Safari do you have? Are you able to access, for instance, your email accounts? Or is the problem just Safari?

I have just bought a new Macbook Pro, running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2. I don't have any restore discs (obviously) being that they don't come with the macbooks anymore. I keep getting an error message when I try to download the drivers using the bootcamp assistant, telling me that the assistant can't connect to the internet, and asks me if I want to troubleshoot, despite being connected just fine. I'm not running any type of firewall that would prevent a connection for the assistant and am at lost as to what the issue could possibly be. Would be appreciative of any assistance here.

Downloaded Lion - now Air does not recognise mobile internet dongle
I downloaded Lion yesterday (love it so far!) but since then my Orange internet dongle isn't recognised! Downloaded the Orange software again (and again and again) but keeps telling my to connect the dongle - which is already there. The Orange site suggests that the update might have put my dongle into a suspended state and to contact Mincrosoft (and, I suppose in this case, Apple). Can't see anything on the apple site, though. Anyone else had this problem and how did you resolve it? Isn't it funny that I am using Orange with an Apple ?
OK - replying to my own question!
I've now spoken with Orange and they tell me that this is a known issue - and from other posts seems it's the same with a number of mobile broadband providers. They say they are working on it and it will be days rather than weeks to get this issue resolved. She has sent me a link to a site which talks you through a manual workaround - and again I think this is the same with other providers. I haven't tried it yet. But I suppose if this doesn;t work, then I'll have to wait for Orange to get their software together. Such a pity that they don't seem to work in advance with Apple on these things (and vice versa, of course). I could really have been left quite stuck, as I work away from home and rely on this service for home comms, films, etc. -
Since my iMac OSX have installed the Lion last week, my iMac could not connect to the internet in the first turn on, and at least I turn off the computer, and turn it on again, then there is not problem to connect to the internet. So, it take much time to access to network.
Today I called apple store to fix the problem. They rebooted my system with their distance control.By that time, it seems work. But after couple hours later, I turn on my iMac, there is not connection to the network again. I hope someone could help me to solve that problem. Thanks!I think I would call them back to follow up. As far as they know, everything is fine. But if you call back they can continue from where they were. They usually give a case number either over the phone the first time you called, or in an email later.

I have a MacBook Pro, Early 2011, 2 GHz Intel Core i7 which I udated some days ago with Lion Mountain 10.8.2. Before it worked just perfect. Now, since the update, I loos the internet connection after a wile, (at the beginning every 20 sec, now up to 4 hours) even that the sign of the WiFi network connection shows to be perfectly connected.
My other divices like IPhone, IPad stay connected and work. The rooter is new and cannot be the problem. I tried nearly everything I found on the bloggs, but nothing helped actually. It must be a softwear problem on Lion Mountain, what can I do?

New routers have "mixed" modes for your network; this means that it will automatically choose the best option between wireless-B, wireless-G and wireless-N network modes. I used to experience this issue using the 2.4 GHz. mixed mode wireless network.
Thankfully, my router can create 2 networks: a 2.4 GHz. network and a 5 GHz. network.
When I randomly changed this value to "use only wireless-B and wireless-G" trying to fix an issue with a wi-fi expander, the iMac wi-fi issue dissapeared! I tried it with wireless-N only, but it didn't work.
So, finally, I have a 2.4 GHz network with only wireless-B and wireless-G modes which works PERFECT with the iMac, and a 5 GHz. network with a mixed* wireless mode for everything else mode.
*PD: by "mixed" mode it means that the router will automatically choose between B, G and N network modes as it fits better. -
Mountain Lion on Mac Mini - WiFi unstable for Internet Sharing
I have a Mac Mini Mid 2010 MC270LL/A previously on 10.6.8 and everything worked fine.
I have it plugged into a Plasma TV via HDMI and network via CAT6, but it also doubles as a WiFi access point via Internet Sharing.
Previously WiFi was secured via WEP, I don't recall if 10.6.8 had anything stronger, most likely not, otherwise I would have gone WPA2.
I have now done a clean install of 10.8. ie erase hard drive, boot from USB and lay down a clean install of Mountain Lion.
Software update downloaded a new Firmware, which has also been applied and rebooted.
Now I've set-up Internet Sharing, used same SSID (maybe should have picked a new one in hind-sight), but secured via WPA2 - the only option.
Previously my Macbook Air 13" MC965LL/A, had undergone the same clean install treatment via wipe, then boot from USB and install 10.8.
The Wifi worked flawlessly with Macbook Air on 10.8 connecting to Mac Mini on 10.6.8 (Secured via WEP), no drop outs, connected even after sleep.
Even the power nap feature worked really well, I was impressed that when I open the lid on the Macbook Air, I had emails already waiting for me.
Now with the Mac Mini on 10.8, it's a really sad state, constant WiFi dropouts, my File Sharing disappears, Screen Sharing stops, it's a real pain.
I'm hoping it's not the new firmware, I guess I'll find out when I restore to 10.6.8 and see how it goes.

I use only an external monitor as my set up will not allow me to use both my Macbook Pro monitor and external monitor efficiently at the same time. In the past, I would plug my MBP into into my external monitor with the lid closed, wake it up and then open the lid with no issues. It was kind of a pain in the rear but at least it worked. Now, opening the lid activates both the MBP and external monitors automatically instead of leaving the MBP monitor off.
This is an issue because, well, look at the speed test that results from simply closing my MBP lid:
Look at that MASSIVE drop in speed. I need to use just one monitor. Upon googling my problem, it seems to be widespread problem. At least there was a way to get around it before the screens autmatically changed...Support today quoted Apple's engineers as saying it is "expected behaviour" in Lion for the MBP's internal display to reactivate upon opening the lid, even if you want to use only your external display. A new version of the clamshell mode-related knowledgebase article (replacing HT3131) is due shortly confirming this.
This is despite:
- obvious temperature-related benefits that were achievable (under Snow Leopard) by opening your MBP lid whilst continuing to output solely to, say, a 27" cinema display
- wifi connectivity benefits of having the lid open
- the waste of energy and inefficient use of graphics processing power in needlessly running two active screens (ie if running your MBP in clamshell mode would otherwise make it too hot and/or noisy or you need it open for wifi)
- negative longer-term impact on the battery and components from running the MBP hotter than it needs to be.
For any chance of getting the previous behaviour back, we need to ask Apple to change how Lion handles clamshell mode. Options may include changing Lion's expected behaviour or adding a user-selectable option within System Preferences. Now the situation has been clarified as intentional, user feedback on this issue has become all the more important.

In the meantime, a low strength fridge magnet placed on the inside surface along the right hand edge (perhaps above the Kensington lock slot) may serve to convince a MBP that the lid is still closed. It's not something I'd recommend or do personally, but some others are reportedly finding this helpful in the immediate short term.
