Comounded Info object Out put in Report?
Hi,
I have cost center which is compounded to controlling area and in report we are getting like abcd/123456 where abcd is cost center and 123456 is contrlolling are.I want to see in report only abcd.Is is possible to make that ?if so please let me know the steps to be fallowed?

Hi,
The Best way to model is: Put an attribute with same length/type in Controlling area/Cost center master data. Map the same with the controlling area/Cost center.
This will keep the same values as key in master data object so when you will display that attribute it will display the correct value with no compounding. It will help in fufture enhancements as well.
In compunding master data object it is the best way to avoid this.

in sub routine DRUCKER_EINSCHALTEN omit the code NO-DIALOG with NEW_PAGE command. i think it is genreating output into a spool request and suppress the dialog. if you omit this NO-DIALOG it will generate output.

If its dynamic message just like current date..you have to include one text variable and you can use the same variable in the your template (WAD ). if its standard message (just like always fixed..name..etc). you can include a text box in your template and you hard code that text box.

am trying to generate delimited format report on command prompt.
out put is to huge and it gives error . To over come this when I turned page break to yes the report will be generated successfully but the out put number of rows are being doubled.

Tracking the changes to a Info-object or info-cube.
Hi Gurus,
I want to track a Info-object changes.Put it this way.
When the info-object is been created the length is 10 chars,But then its changed to 20 and then 40 .i don't these changes are until somebody told me.how do i track the changes to length or any other properties of the info-object ?

choose 'activating in dictionary', try as well saving/activating, give date range
for mass check last change, can use table RSDIOBJ
for infocube try RSDCUBE, logs, choose 'mass activator', try also 'save/activate'
to display last change, infocube right click 'display',
menu extras - info - content/change
or SE16 table RSDCUBE
the log can be accessed in infoobject or infocube maintainance also,
or try SLG1

Boss Please suggest me that i have to create a Screen in which only one Push Buton ,
As user Click this Push Button , a report should run and give it's output , the point is how selection screen will get a

so sorry, but you have to use some of the objects you do not want to:
Currency values in ABAP are stored in currency fields (type CURR). If they are stored in structures or database, every CURR field must be connected to a CUKY field (currency key).
Displaying data using WRITE statement four output on a list is obsolete technique, you may use the use WRITE with the option CURRENCY c to format according to currency c in table TCURX.
SAP recommends to use ALV technique. If you use ALV to display structure data, then create a dictionary structure with currency value and currency key. The rest goes automatically.
Believe me: It is much easier and more reliable.

XML PUBLISHER report in Excel out put problem
Hi Experts,
I have developed one XML report which output type is EXCEL in Oracle Application.
I am getting some -ve value in the report so I need to do the trailing sign
Menace for example I got a value -8645 I need to display the value like (8645).
This functionality is working in PDF output but in EXCEL out put it is not working.
Could any body please help me on this..

Hi:
I used 10g forms and reports for my application. When I run a report .rdf file in form used
web.show_document(v_parameter_string ,'_blank');
build in function, the v_parameter_string include all parameter for server and application.
Everything is ok and the report file appears in the browser window. But maybe the size of each row is too long, the words in the report body with font size =1 -- the smallest size of letter. So the color of words in report body part is dark gray but the title part is normal black color (words' font size is 2 or upper). This make I looking at report body very difficult in web browser. When I print the report from browser, the print out paper is good and no color different between body and title part.
Do some people know why this gray color issue happened and how to fix it making the black color words appear in the report body.
