hi gurus,
I have a issue with client,  Manager and above level of employees if, they worked on holiday, Comp. off quota should be created, client is having +ve time management, How to configure it, do we need to write any pcrs against it.

    Hi Gurus,
    I am facing issue on comp off validity. Validity is 15 days only and rule is if employee worked on sunday/public holiday then he will get comp off issues. 1st week is ok, next week comp off is validity is same as 1st week, some times 3rd week falls within 15days it is also same validity as 1st week comp off, In some cases 3rd week/4th week comp off validity is getting correct.
    Here i am created one comp off Quota type only. generation comp offs through time evaluation.

    i was created 3 Quotas because expected 3 days continually holiday/weekly offs including sunday, saturday.
    Is required more Quotas??
    In deduction rule priority also maintained, How many maximum limit of Quotas maintain in deduction rule also in case more Quotas???

  • Issue with PTO (Paid Time Off) quota generation

    Hi All,
    We have an issue with quota generation of PTO for our employees.
    The issue goes like this:
    We have a Paid time off for employees 5weeks( 200 hrs) for employees who have worked less than 5 years.
    we have  paid time off for employees 6 weeks ( 240 hrs) for employees who have worked more than 5 years.
    we have the following logic that has to go in this config:
    -- Our fiscal year starts on Feb 1st and ends on Jan end or Feb starts which has a full week of working days. ( ex: if 01/31/2012 falls on a Thursday the following Monday which has full 5 day working week would be the end of the fiscal year).
    -- Depending on the working hours of  the employees and the date of joining for the first year ( for new hires)0041 info type the eligibility gets varied and reduced. Ex( employees who joins on start of fiscal year and works 40hrs per week schedules is eligible for 200hrs of PTO. Employees who join in the month of august and works for 35 hrs per week ( i.e mid of fiscal year) would get 91 hrs of PTO.
    I need to put this in the system. I am thinking this could be done with out tweaking PCR.I need help in configuring this in Absence quotas as to what are the things i need change in system config and how do i do it. Please help with some screen shots if possible.  I really need this to get it done ASAP. Looking forward for help.

    We use TM00 schema. Can i call TS15 and TS 12  rules into TM00 acheieve my issue of quota entilements?
    Iam doing this because my businees needs to see if an employee chages his work schedule from 40 to 30 or 20 etc.. the PTO has to vary accordingly.
    As the minimum eligibility is to work for 20 hrs to avail the PTO days. If at any point the employee drops it under 20 he will not be eligible till he work any this >= 20hrs per month so the evaluation has to check periodically to update the quota availability.... I need help plz suggest ...

    You can use the Quota Corrections infotype (2013) to influence how these accrual entitlements are generated and transferred from the table:
    ·         You can increase, decrease, or replace an accrual entitlement (set to a fixed value).
    ·        You can make the accrual entitlements available for deduction immediately in the Absence Quotas infotype (2006).
    An employee has joined your company from another company. His or her contract has guaranteed a one-off entitlement of ten days of leave when the employee joins your company. You therefore want to increase the employee’s leave quota by 10 days. You want the entitlement to be immediately available in the Absence Quotas infotype (2006) so that the employee can take the ten days of leave.
    Structure
    You can only use the infotype to change absence quotas that are accrued in time evaluation. The changes are taken into account the next time that time evaluation is run. Time evaluation carries out a recalculation starting on the day for which you have entered the quota correction. You can view the results of the quota correction in the Quota Overview (transaction PT50).
    Transfer time
    The Absence Quotas infotype (2006) does not take account of quota corrections immediately. The infotype is updated at a specific transfer time that is determined in Customizing.
    If you want to make the corrected accrual entitlements available directly in the Absence Quotas infotype (2006), you can also immediately transfer the accrual entitlements accumulated in time evaluation and the quota number specified in the infotype. You do this by setting the Transfer field to Transfer collected entitlement immediately. 
    Replace and increase
    In the case of automatic accrual, time evaluation can either replace or increase the existing accrual entitlements in the Absence Quotas infotype (2006). You will generally want to use the Quota Corrections infotype (2013) to change only accrual entitlements that are increased by time evaluation.
    If the accrual entitlement is replaced by the quota correction, you can only choose the Transfer collected entitlement immediately function for quotas that are to be replaced. If the entitlement were not transferred immediately, time evaluation would overwrite the correction immediately.
    If an accrual entitlement is replaced by the quota correction, you can only enter one record for each day. This is because a second quota correction would overwrite the first one, thereby making it void.
    Customizing
    To check whether a quota is replaced or increased, choose the Customizing step:
    Personnel Time Management --> Time Data Recording and Administration -->Managing Time Accounts Using Attendance/Absence Quotas --> Calculating Absence Entitlements --> Automatic Accrual of Absence Quotas --> Permit Generation of Quotas in Time Evaluation.

  • Query on OT Calculation

    Our customer wishes the overtime hours to be computed in the following manner:
    1. Accumulate all the approved extra hours worked by the employee during the calendar month.
    2. Accumulate all the LOP hours for the employee for the calendar month.
    3. Compute A = (Extra hours - LOP hours) for the employee at the end of the calendar month.
    4. If A is positive, take A as OT hours for the month; If A is negative, take A as LOP hours for the month; If A is zero, do nothing
    Each time the employee goes on LOP or works extra hours, it is rounded off to the nearest 30 mins (e.g. LOP or extra hours of 75 mins or above but less than 90 mins will be treated as 90 mins ).
    5. Once the OT hrs are determined in the above manner, apply the OT rate to rate and compute the OT amount.
    My query is as below:
    How do we handle this requirement in SAP? Should it be done thru Time Evaluation in TM Schema or through Payroll Run in Payroll schema? I request our experts to help me

    See a the standared Schema TM00 will not going to handle this. So you need to make it Z and then you need to do the some PCR config to achiev this,
    1. You have to maintain the employee Attendance in IT2011 on daily basis.
    2. Schema TM00 will take care of the abcentees as the record is not maintained in IT2011 for the day.
    3. To get those LOP Hrs you need to create one PCR for that.
    4. For getting the extra hrs for OT you need to config the time WT.
    5. To capture the OT hrs you need to config your OT WT in table V_T510S where M stands for OT.

    You can configure the Comp. off quota and through that u can resolve your issue..

  • Quota generation scenarios

    Hi Experts,
    we are using time evaluation for generating absence quotas. i.e. PL, SL, CL, Comp Off
    now based on certain parameters like ESG & PSA we have different rules for generating each of the above mentioned Quotas
    Let say,
    Sick Leave (SL) quota gets generated based on rules as follows
    a) For PSA 1000 - Begining of the Year (Could be deducted from PL if the deduction exceeds the entitlements)
    b) For PSA 2000 - Last month of the Year (Could not be deducted from CL if the deduction exceeds the entitlements)
    C) For PSA 3000 - After Completion of 3 Years (Could not be deducted from PL if the deduction exceeds the entitlements)
    d) For PSA 4000 & ESG Manager- Monthly (1st to 11th Month 1.65 days & 12th Month 1.85 days)
        For PSA 4000 & ESG Staff  - Monthly 1.65 days
    e) For PSA 5000 - Atfer completion of 1 year prorating with absence (Let say employee is entitled to get 23 SL in a year & he is    
        having 65 LWP in that year so SL would be 23/365 x (365-65) = 18.90 = 90 days (Rounded)
    Please advise whether we could do the same by using the standard system (Automatically)

  • Overtime compensation by time off.

    Dear Experts,
    I am using TM00 for time evaluation, I want to compensate the overtime perfomed by employee by time off only (no payment for overtime), I am using PCR YO16 for determining overtime (Copy of TO16 Determine overtime without approval), I have set the compensation type 3 (Compensation time off) using PCR YO16, I have created one absence quotya type 02 called as "comp off" with "INCREASE" mode in customizing, I have kept base entitlement for this quota type as Day Balance 0410 (Time off from overtime), the issue is that the quota type 02 is geting accrued twice if employee works overtime this is because PCR for compensation of Overtime TC10 updates the quota 02 by UPDTQA by overtime hours and QOUTA function also increases the quota type 02 by overtime hours,.
    Since my quota type 02 should only get generated if any employee works overtime I dont want it to get processed by QUOTA function so could you please let me know how to achieve it.
    If there is any other solution for my requirement then also please let me know.

    For accessing the quota in time evaluation should be in increase mode.
    Still I tries as you said be it is also preventing it from getting updated by UPDTQA.
    I am having one workaround...if I remove the UPDTQA statement from TC12 I am getting correct results since the quota is getting updated by QUOTA function only...but I think this would not be the correct way to get the solution since SAP has provided the UPDTQA statement in TC12 means there should be some purpose behind it...right...the correct way would be to avoid the quota getting updated by QUOTA function...I think we are missing something...bevause of which we are not able prevent QUOTA function from updating our quota..please suggest...

  • In need of help to get music off my ipod back onto new computer

    the problem i have is before i had chance to set my ipod up 2 get it ready to transfer my music to another comp the comp went caput.i have disk use enabled but now i have a new comp i cant get my music onto it as i couldnt set it up before my other comp bust. is there any way of ever getting my music back onto this new comp off my ipod.im using all updated software and stuff someone help please.

    There's also another method. I've successfully tested this across several different Windows PCs.
    Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
    Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
    Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
    The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
    If this doesn't work (and it may not because officially it's not supposed to), there's Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music and playlists etc from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
    The above methods may depend on what version of iTunes you are running.
    If none of these methods work, try CopyPod.
    If you are using iTunes version 7 or later, then you can transfer purchased iTunes store music from the iPod to an authorized computer by using the "file/transfer purchases from iPod" menu. Note that the maximum of 5 authorized computers applies here.

  • MONITOR TURNS OFF SPORATICALLY

    My laptop monitor will just go black from time to time, and it does it at different times, there is no specific thing that is causing this.  When I turn the comp off and then back on again the monitor will come back on and be fine.
    WHAT IS CAUSING THIS?  HOW DO I SOLVE THIS PROBLEM?

  • Graphic card losing drivers?

    I finally got me a PCI-E card for my K8N-Neo3. I found a Gainward 6600 GT Golden sample at a reasonable price. I installed it and has run it for a week or so. Done some 3dmarks with good results and a big smile on my face.
     Though lately I have run into some problems. Sometimes when i play AmericasArmy and Alt+tab out of the game or just escape to the settings I get graphic errors. A really weird error where the whole screen goes stripey and I cant do anything. At a few times I have been able to close the game and get the screen right again but most times it just locks up. When It locks I turn the comp off and restart. When its restarted the drivers for my graphic card are lost and the card uses some sort of windows rescue driver. The only way to get it back to normal is to reinstall the drivers from scratch.
    I have no clue as to why it does this. I have tries a few different drivers with the same results(blue screens with some, IRQ NOT LESS OR EQUAL) and also tried changing the clock on my graphic card, CPU and Memory but its still the same. Sometimes it works fine for days, sometimes it crashes three times in an hour.
     The temp on my graphic card doesnt go above 70 degrees at load and cpu, sys and harddrives are under or around 40 deg.
    Any clues?  Im thinking format c:  myself

  • Cfmail processing error

    I am not a tech person but I'll try my best describing the situation.
    When I yesterday tried to fix an error message (which always showed when not all requiered fields were filled in at our company's "Request for Quote" site), I think I messed up the whole inquiry-forwarding system. I must have deleted everything.
    My company's using Macromedia Dreamwaver 8, and the guy who wrote the pages are long gone. If only I could revert the present non-functioning system how it used to be but it's too late, I already turned my comp off yesterday.
    The way it should work is that the customer types in all info we need from him, then pushes the submit button, which then sends an email to us and leads the customer to our "Thank you for your inquiry" page. If some eror happens, it brings the customer to our mailto.cfm page, which now shows some error message I do not understand about the 3rd line,  variable.fieldnames = ListDeleteAt(variable.fieldnames, ListFindNoCase(variable.fieldnames,"RECIPIENT") );
    Here's what I found as an old-timer back-up to our mailto.cfm page (which I altered yesterday, and that caused the whole problem), which no longer works either:

    It seems simple, the to-field is correct, the from-field must be too, why do you still think that it's not forwarding the inquiries as emails any more? Where is this code broken?

  • P55-GD65 boots for 1 second then stops

    My P55-GD65 worked lovely for over 2 years but now suddenly it does the following:
    It boots for 1sec and then stops. During the boot led6 (of the CPU phases) flashes on and the fans start spinning. This process repeats itself every 3 seconds.
    I did the following:
    checked the PSU by disconnecting the 24pin molex, shorting pins 15 and 16, and verifying all voltages.
    Disconnected the supply to all devices, except for the mobo, still the 1second boot behavior.
    Removed the 4 memory strips and placed only 1 in the 1st black bank
    Maybe worth nothing is that I never switch my comp off, but keep it in standby. Does this wear out some parts?
    Somebody an idea what this could be? Or how to debug this?

    No, probably best to replace the mainboard. If you buy the board from a computer shop, see if they will test the cpu and PSU for you if you buy the mainboard. Just to make sure.
