Companies for hire...or people for hire?

So, I'm looking to hire someone to "pimp my podcast."
I've got the mp3 player, I've got the xml software, I've got the thing on iTunes, but I can't find it anywhere.
I'm looking to hire someone to get my going in the podcast libraries, explain the RSS stuff to me and help get my show out there.
This will be a one time thing as I'm trying to get started. I know how to do computers, but this is killing me.
E-mail me at [email protected] .

  • Intercompany sale (seprate companies for each comapny code)

    Hi All,
There are two company codes which belongs to same group but they have inter company sale.
1). So in that case should we create one company for these two comapny codes.
2). Or we should create two seprate companies for each comapny code, So can treate these company codes as a trading partner for each other for the purpose of consolidation.
I want to know that what are the advantages we get if we create two companies for two company codes which belongs to the same group.
    Waiting for your reply.
    Thanks.
    SriLaxmi

    Hi Laxmi,
You need to create single company for two company code.
You need to use single chart of account for both company code.
You need to create separte clearing GL for inter company posting. Same GL should be created for both com. codes.
    Regards,
    Mohan.

  • Recommended Web Hosting companies for Video/Photographers

In starting up my own videography and photography business are there any web hosting companies that someone could recommend that have the adequate bandwidth to support lots of photo and video downloading? Most, if not all the, elcheapo hosting services (Bluehost, GoDaddy, etc.) have cheap prices but crappy speed. I don't mind paying for what I need but I expect it to be delivered.

Actually I am looking into just that. I have a litney of questions I just sent to their support staff that I figured were too lengthy to ask here.
I might as one. It would be VERY worthwhile to be able to get more stats than just hits. Not being a Zen Web Master, is this possible with a .mac account? Is it as simple as just putting in some hooks into my web page to enable this?
I've been looking around asking some friends I have in and out of multiple business and, rightly so, most of the feedback I've seen, the hosting companies want, up front, estimates of what my use will be and at what speeds. I've not a clue on these stats. Kind of a catch 22. Don't know the stats until you get a web site up but can't get a web site until I know the stats. This is where a .mac account would be idea, at least for starters but I think to be really useful I would need to be able to get the statistics. Also, I want my own URL with my company name in it. I believe that this is possible but I think I need to first register my name externally and then I somehow link to it from a .mac account. I've got no idea how to do this other than getting a name. That is easy.

  • Companies Who Hire Experts Can Significantly Reduce Microsoft Audit Findings

Microsoft, which has been auditing its customers’ software usage more vigorously than ever, performs different degrees and types of compliance checks, including onsite or self-audits and software asset management (SAM) reviews. Some form of official Microsoft compliance check is inevitable for most organizations, according to industry analysts. Software compliance checks are profitable for software publishers, as with new software purchases they increase revenues.
Each type of compliance check carries its own form of high labor cost and impact on organizations. Many organizations go into asoftware auditor SAM review not expecting compliance issues, but later find themselves facing material unlicensed findings. Unless properly managed, these audits and SAM reviews can be expensive and disruptive to businesses. Organizations are often...

    hi tw
I did my certification in SAP SD from Bangalore by month of October 2012, after that
i received only one opportunity to attend interview at Capgemini, I cleared my
interview but unluckily project was canceled and they haven't done any recruitment.
your view is add on Knowledge, still I am maintaining studying, at least every day 7hrs plus, but problem is, job market or industry not have need of certified person, companies prefer to get 3 years real time exp persons more willingly than certified fresher.
I had discussed with few of the HR managers, their reply was, in certification course there is no real time project training, it’s just about overall SAP concept, so we prefer 1 or 2 years exp people.
So my opinion is going for SAP SD certification is useless and money wasting.
    Thanks

    hi
which type qea asked for profit center a/c.
    advance thanks

    Hi YPS,
Before going to the interview try to be a little perfect in what you are doing. The way you have asked the question is something like demanding someone. And you have to pour some extra effort to collect informations related to the subject ..search www.sap.com. I dont know how you can expect the questions to be asked in the interview will be the same in all the companies. You cant expect people to spoon feed you with the all the questions.. give some effort and hardwork.

  • Sigma raw (x3f) support for Merrill series of cameras . . .

Just wondering when and if Adobe is going to support it in camera raw. I've been a Photoshop user since version 2 or 3 - would really like to continue with it.
Thanks and look forward to your response!

Actually They do they use  a Converter that changes all Camera formats to DNG Format. That Photoshop actually can read. It works with all versions of Adobe Photoshop. The people from adobe claim  (When I wrote and asked why they simply couldn't use the Camera Raw system That Apple updates every month or two to add new Cameras) That NEF and the other format that Nikon, Cannon Sony are just something they just made up and are not legitimate file formats. (despite their being used by their respective companies for years.)
Each new version of Photoshop comes with a new version of this converter built in. And in the the past Until they came out with their way over priced subscription service you had to upgrade to a new version of PS in order to use your new camera. I have to note that Lightroom4 apparently doesn't need the converter.(on Mac they evidently uses built in Apple's Raw Converter).
Go to Adobe's website > support and put in search box DNG Converter.

  • What is best 2015 antivirus program for my iMac

Which antivirus program is recommended for my 2011 iMac running OSX Yosemite 10.10.1?

    thedjjams wrote:
There are quite a few Mac virus / malware that has come out over the years.
A few. A total of 51 in all the years Mac OS X has existed. All of which are currently extinct, because they either won't work on current versions of Mac OS X or are blocked by the anti-malware features of recent versions of Mac OS X. There is no currently known malware capable of infecting Mac OS X, and though the possibility of unknown malware exists, anti-virus software can't protect you against that.
I personally have used Sophos AntiVirus for Mac for the past few years.
I used to recommend Sophos to people who insisted on using anti-virus software, but it is no longer as low-profile as it used to be. Sophos has been causing more problems for Mac users recently, and I no longer recommend its use.
I am including some links on the matter below.
It's important to keep a few things in mind with regard to those links. The Tom's Guide article is very light on actual information about how they evaluated the software they reviewed, and the site is littered with advertising, including some for anti-virus software. That review should be considered potentially biased.
Similarly, the AVTest site receives payment from anti-virus companies for the testing they do, so there's definitely potential for bias. Their testing of malware detection seems to be pretty close to my own results, so that's probably good data... but, it's only one data point. My own testing data has been routinely misinterpreted by people who believe that because Avast tops the detection rate list, that makes it good. (In actuality, I strongly recommend against Avast for a variety of reasons.) Paying too much attention to just detection, or just how fast a Mac can copy files while anti-virus is installed, and not to other issues is a very serious error.
The Intego article you linked to is a bad link, but if you Google it, you'll find that some of the information there is good, but other points are weak at best. One points out that some malware has gotten past the anti-malware features of Mac OS X, without mention of the fact that 1) that malware also got past anti-virus software at the time, or 2) those anti-malware features were still not entirely complete at the time. Another point is a straw man argument. (I've never seen anyone arguing that Mac malware doesn't affect "real people," so arguing that it does is meaningless.)
Now, let's consider something else... because both Mac OS X and anti-virus software are not strong against brand new threats, and because they are also not strong against things like adware (which is not really malware), neither one can be relied on for full protection. Yet the installation of anti-virus software is often treated by users as full protection, which leads them to behave in unsafe ways under the false belief that they are safe. Thus, running anti-virus software can actually be more harmful than good!

  • Struggling to correct billing problem and settled. Now waiting for plan to expire so I can change.

I left Sprint because they would randomly charge me for data that I had not used.  I thought I had found a cell company that would be a pleasure to work with but this year has proved me wrong.
Last December, I increased my minutes to get a Friends & Family, Text & Talk plan that basically credited each line $20/mo on the data.  In January, I had to spend an hour on the phone with customer service because of the way they pro rated my minutes and charged me overage WITHOUT asking if I wanted to back date my plan and informing me of the extra charges that would occur by changing my plan in the middle of a cycle.  That was finally settled.   In March, when I was visiting a Verizon store to upgrade the phone on one of our lines, our salesperson asked where we worked to see if we could get an additional discount.  Turned out that my husband qualified for a discount through his employer so we had to change his name to the primary account holder.  That's great except that it took off the $20/mo. discount on one of our lines.  Not the main number, but one of our other numbers.  I have made several calls to the store and three calls to customer service.  Twice they were supposed to call me back and never did.  Tonight, someone FINALLY helped me but was only able to put the promotion back on the line effective 6/3.  It should have been effective 6 weeks ago but after spending hours trying to straighten this out, I should feel lucky that someone finally got the promotion put back on there.  Really??
We had considered using one of our Verizon lines as our home phone with the new device they offer and also using their 4G service as our home internet service.  I can't put all of our communications in the hand of a company that doesn't deliver what they advertise and costs me more than I signed up for.  I shouldn't have to struggle with customer service everytime I make a change to my service.  No one could explain why I had lost my promotion.  If that is what happens when you make a change, why didn't my sales rep tell me that.  I'm concerned about the lack of information that Verizon employees have.  It really doesn't have to be this difficult.  Now I will start observing other cell phone companies for when our contracts expire.
Just wanted other potential and current Verizon customers to be aware...because I wasn't.
    Jennifer Johnson

I'm not familiar with Verizon wanting people to change their plans online.  We just went in to upgrade a phone and they offered to check and see if we were elligible for a discount.
Yes, you would think she could have easily given me the credit for 6 weeks but after sitting on hold for as long as I have with this situation, when she came back and wasn't interested in checking about it, I didn't have the strength left in chasing down her supervisor to get it.  Fact is, I should have never spent that much time trying to get them to correct their error.  I'm very disappointed that after talking to as many Verizon employees as I did, no one could tell me what happened and how to fix it.  I can not be the only person that had that kind of change with that plan.
No one has contacted me yet.  I'd be surprised it they did.

  • Could APEX be used for development of a General Ledger system?

    Hi All,
I am interested in developing a "light" web-based erp system for small sized companies for a vertical market. This system should be composed of General Ledger, Inventory & Payables functional areas. I just want to know if APEX could be used for developing applications of this kind. Do you believe that APEX is a mature platform in order ro be useful for development of complex applications? I'm very impressed by this platform but I do not have the necessary experience in order to decide if I could use APEX for more complex and demanding apps.
    Thank you very much,
    George Papageorgiou

Technically speaking Apex can handle anything other frameworks..etc can do. I think your target market will determine whether Apex is the correct choice or not.
Larger companies will want to go with an established ERP system like Oracle Financials, SAP, Costpoint..etc. So if you are aiming at a mid to small sized company, they may have a much smaller budget for such a system. If you are planning to make it a SAAS and host the solution yourself, I think Apex would be a good fit. If you are planning on selling the software for a local installation at the customer site, it may not be the best fit due to its coupling with the Oracle database. Personally I wouldn't want to put my entire financial set of data on someone else's server, but thats just me.
In my own opinion, a good ERP or 3rd party COTS product does not dictate to you which database you need to use, but instead supports multiple. Apex lives inside the Oracle database, so your customers have to run Oracle. For larger shops, it is not an issue, but for smaller shops, they may want to use mysql or something similar. Now people here will say "But Oracle XE is free!". This is true, but it is also almost 6 years old, completely unsupported by Oracle, and not patched. So I wouldn't stake my entire success on it.
So again it really will depend who you are going after, whether you will host the solution, and whether you think the cost/skill level of Oracle will be a barrier to your customers.

  • Anti-virus protection for my IMAC?

Should I invest in anti-virus software?
    What should I use?
I only surf the net, don't download, I'm the only one who uses my computer.
    Thanks!!!

Most commercial ("invest in") AV and internet security packages for Mac cause many more problems than they fix. These companies make money off people coming from the Windows world who get hammered with intrusions as soon as they plug in their computer. Some have even invented news of threat to use fear as a marketing tool. May the bedbugs from a thousand cheap hotels invade their shorts!
I've run without AV software since getting our first mac abotu1990. Their are threats but reasoanable computer habits (like not clicking on something that looks fishy, say, doesn;t have a "cancel" button to click) can preven tt most attacks better than software.
If you feel the need for AV software, there are two free packages that work well and with little impact on performance. Google up "ClamXav" and "Sophos."

  • Hoping for a little help with registering and hosting questions.

i was hoping i could get some information from some of you
that have personal experience with registering your site and
    picking a hosting provider.
im wondering what the difference is between say....Dot5
hosting at 5.00 a month and .. network solutions at 29.99 a month?
my local provider here in sacramento wants 30 a month as
    well......299.oo a yr.
should I go with a local provider? or go with ... say GoDaddy
    or some other company?
also, registering. Im about to register my site name.
however, some companies include it in the "packages" they offer.
should I register it myself or let the hosting company I choose do
    it?
sorry for the newb questions....but I cant find any good info
on this and I was hoping maybe some of you that have already done
    this to chime in.
    thanks in advance.

If you want almost all of the below features for about $9.00
    a month go to
Gate.com and pick your package. I use them for several web
    sites and have
never been dissatisfied with their services or features.
They will register your domain and I've done it both ways,
    but have never
had problems with them but it does make a lot of sense to
    register it
    yourself and keep full ownership....

  • German Voice Pack (SAPI) for use at Captivate 6

    Hello everybody,
We need to produce an e-learning course in several languages. Neo speech provides some languages but no german voice.
I need 2 female and 2 male voices. Or at least 1 female voice.
I considered buying a voice pack at another company. I found out about 3 companies.
Do they work as integrated voices inside captivate?
Here are the companys I found out:
    http://www.cereproc.com
    http://www.acapela-group.com/
    http://www.ivona.com
Is it right, that when they have MS SAPI, then it would work?
Because we have thousand of changes, it is not possible to record audio in a studio and it is also not comfortable to generate the voices on a stand alone tool.
Are there other companies for this?
Thanks in advance for you response!
    Best regards,
    Janet

    Janet,
Not sure if you already had an answer, but I just did some research for Germen voices too and in the end I found that only http://www.cereproc.com could provide voices that work with Adobe Captrivate 6.
http://www.ivona.com: I installed the demo and Captivate 6 does see the voices and allows you to assign them to the TTS sentences. However, when it comes to generating the audio, Captivate picks up the voice that is selected in the control panel » speech section. That's fine if you need a single voice in your project, but if you want a dialog between two or more persons then you have a problem. I have sent an email to query their support for a solution but did not receive a reply.
http://www.neospeech.com: I have seen topics here in the forum where people say it works. Unfortunately they have very few voices and German is not one of them.
http://www.loquendo.com: I believe this is the provider of the English voices that come with Captivate 6. I searched their website for a demo or a store to purchase more voices and I couldn't find it. I only found a few pages that say they are now part of Nuance with a broken link to their TTS solutions.
http://www.nuance.com: like Loquendo, I can't find any page with a TTS demo or a store to purchase more voices. I have sent them an email weeks ago and never received a reply.
http://www.acapela-group.com: you can't buy from them directly, their website sends you to third party resellers. I visited the website of 2 resellers in my country (Netherlands) but again, I couldn't find a page with a demo or store to purchase.
So, the only provider left for me is http://www.cereproc.com. On their website you can quicly find, purchase and download a voice. All you need to do then is install the voice, enter the license and (re-)start Captivate.
    Hope this helps

  • Starling framework for mobile content

    Hi guys.
Just been checking out the new framwwork to harness the power of the GPU via stage3D.
Just wondering if any of you guys know of any great tutorials or are even free to "mock up" some stuff.
Seem to be few people out there. I mean games wise NOT just your run of the mill programmer who doesn't actually know how to make games.

Finding it hard to send a private hence this post: will investigate tomorrow: Cheers
Hi Sinious. Just been reading through some of your posts and yeah - you are on the edge of all the new stuff. Important in this fast moving industry.
Let me jot down some quick points and some time in the near future we may get the ball rolling
    1. Client base: Should be a few hundred thousand users
    2. Business model: English teaching via: bricks and mortar + online interactive multimedia
    3. Multimedia: Facebook apps + virtual world + mobile apps (android and ios)
    4. Prefered technology: Flash + unity3d (via facebook sdk)
    5. Artists: The best
    6. Studios (I have the collaboration of what I think are world class studios - they love the pitch and would like to collaborate - IMAGE is everything - from concept design to end product)
    7. Contracts (credibility): I have the numer one "player" in the world. That credibility is opening doors - a little too fast - hence the rush for technicians. That is the teaching world of course not the games world. PLUS we have the main "player" (excuse my abuse of the term but I like to use it) - in Spain on board too.
    8. Money: These "players" know who they are and their importance and ABUSE financial terms BUT they give massive credibility to a company hence the interest from other companies.
Today is a bad day to write up a spec - just trying to give you some idea of what we are about to achieve and get you interested.
    We NEED consultnacy REAL BAD
We have been researching other companies and the tech is awesome. Via facebook - one of the companies in the top 10 in Spain has been recruiting
    1. Backend: server specialist
    2. php senior coder
    3. flash developer
    4. flash artist: most stuff is bitmap (texture packer etc...)
They have 40 in their team and only develop 3 MAIN games at the moment - I have seen so many flaws in their game BUT it's in the top 20 facebook apops in the world -WOW. 3 million euros this year and growing. Get the market and ie: DUP of 17 million people will see your new game immediately.
We are going to get that client base through the collaboprations of the two major spanish institutions so we need to have the technology to be able to take it on. Marketing will be vial through facebook invites etc...
Is it exciting - f*** yeah!!! Never seen this in 30 years in business. I am also amazed at the lack of professionalism of most companies. The USA do it AMAZINGLY I can't get over what they do - Jesus - you must be taught this stuff at school or something.
There is a company in Barcelona that have produced 3 million turnover in 3 years - am I impressed - NO. I know my market.
You don't need to send me a detailed mail fo rthe moment because I haven't sent you specific details yet of your possible involvemnet but I know you will love this.
OK - leave it fo there. When I get some free time (selling every day at the moment) - I will send you a detailed overview and you can decide whether to get involved or not.
ps: A couple of things - I have other dweveloipers who create for pro companies for the XBox and PS3 - angry birds versions ie: physics engines BUT better etc... written from scratch - a studio that develops for disney and the like - I mean I'm dealing with pros - this is all about getting together an elite team to create the BEST user experiences.
