Company issued iPhone locked with user's personal account

I work in an IT department and we have had a couple users leave in the past couple weeks and turn in their phones. I have been asked to reassign some of the hardware.
This didn't used to be a problem as I could just wipe the phone and reassign it, but two of the newer phones have been upgraded to iOS 7 and locked with ex-employee's personal accounts.
Is there a way to wipe the phone completely? Is it something I could take to an apple store? Any advice would be appreciated.

Sorry alvinguibz, but you have encountered an Activation Lock, and unless you can contact the previous owner and have them follow the steps below, you will not be able to use your device:

I wanted to know if anyone else has experience this issue? Most of symptions are follows:
1.) I get the SMS notification all time whether I use the phone or not.
2.) Once I get the SMS notification, I have to constantly keep tapping on the screen until the phone decides to let me login. Note: Sometimes I have to hit the power buttom and re-tap the screen over and over again til it works.
I was just curious if I am only have this issue's or others to?

It will notify you for every lil' thing you do. If your sending a txt msg, it will let you know, after every call, surfing the internet, checking your email. On your email settings, how often do you have it to check your emails? Manually? Every 15 min? Half hour? One Hour? For example, if you have it checking your emails more frequently (ex. 15 min) you will notice more of them as oppose to checking them every Hour.

If you are trying to activate an iPad or iPhone and it is asking for a previous owners Apple ID and password, you have encountered the Activation Lock. This is a security feature that prevents thieves from setting up and using a stolen or lost iPad or iPhone. You have no alternative. You must contact the previous owner to get permission to use the device. If you cannot contact the previous owner return the device to where you bought it and get a refund. You will never be able to activate the device and no one can help you do it.

There's no way around it without the ID/password used to lock it. You either need to come up with stronger policies, start actually managing the devices, or stop providing them to employees in the first place and move to a BYOD model.

There is no option on iPhone 4 with O2 for personal hotspot. I do have a contract and O2 after a lot of discussion and updates said I should contact Apple for help

Check out the article below to go through resetting your Apple ID password. If you have a rescue email address set up, you can send a email to that alternate email to get it reset. If you have security question, you can answer them to get it reset. If none of those are obtainable, then you will need to contact Apple Support for additional support.

How can I reset an iPhone 5s with an active iCloud account?

Hi Team, I work for a mobile company. I have an iPhone 5s that was returned by a client, which an employee didn't do a full wipe on the time of return. We are trying to resell the phone as an open item. We have tried to reset and restore the phone through the settings but it asks for the password for the apple id which we don't have since the customer is no longer in the store. I have tried different things, I did a normal hard reset by holding the sleep and home button and connecting to iTunes, which it does restore yet but doesn't wipe out the apple id. We still get the apple id on the iPhone 5 due to the find me app that protects your phone from theft. Is there any way to do a hard reset on the iPhone 5 with iOS 8 and do a full wipe without apple id password?

Apple has a procedure that authorized resellers can use to reset Activation Lock. It requires completing a web form, getting management approvals, and submitting it to Apple. Contact your Apple liaison manager.

Managing conversations with user on different accounts in Messages

I'm having trouble understanding how conversations work across different accounts in Messages. For example, my friend and I sent messages to each other via my Gtalk account earlier today, then a little while later I clicked on her name in the left nav of the Messages window and the earlier conversation was gone. It was only showing our last iMessage conversation via our iPhones. I went back to the Buddies window and double-clicked her name, but it still didn't bring up the earlier conversation. BTW, I didn't close the Messages window from our earlier Gtalk chat.
Would someone explain how conversations with the same person on different accounts works within Messages? I assumed it'd retain all conversations between that user's accounts within the same window.

Once you have a person in the "To" spot it should be linked to the Service (ID or Name) that you are talking to them on.
At the right hand of their Name is a small reveal arrow which makes it a drop down to Show other options (AIM, Jabber or Yahoo as well as iMessages)
It will depend on what is stored on their Address Card.

From three of these I can call the one on this Address card (it's well known name that have been out there for a while)
Whilst you have to use the drop down and the Chat/Conversation can swap between the services the "History" should all be shown.
Example iMessage then AIM Chat
You Buddy can change their end and send you an iMessage and a New Chat should open up.
I.e. the Highlighted chat on the left is the one shown on the right and the "hi" opened the second item in the Chat list.
I am not sure why you appear to not keeping the "first" chat open or seeing a second in the list.
Having said I am having both ends of the conversation and your Buddy may be able to silently change the Service.
However you should still have the "History".
To See older Messages (or Chats) you have to be saving them.
At the moment I am not sure this is relevant though.

Welcome to the Apple community.
Yes you can do that, however you can only have one primary account. You will need to set one account up as a secondary account and choose which account you wish to do this with, since you can only use mail, contacts, calendars, notes and reminders with a secondary account.
On your Mac, you would enter the account at system preferences> mail, contacts & calendars, on your mobile device you would enter your account at settings> mail, contacts, calendars.

After updating my iphone, I'm stuck with an image of a USB port and iTunes icon on my phone which I can not get rid of to reset or restart my phone. I plug my phone into my laptop to connect to itunes and my phone does not appear in itunes!!!! If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try using the steps in this article to force the device into recovery mode.

No. The Verizon iPhone 4 is a CDMA phone. It will not work with any other carrier.

Cannot disconnect iPhone from previous users Apple ID account.

I just got a used iPhone 4 through a friend. I reset the phone phone today and it is asking me to sign in with the Apple ID used to set up the iPhone. I do not know the Apple ID and am not in contact with the previous owner. Is there anyway to disconnect the iPhone from that account without being in contact with them?
