    Hi
I accidently deleted the Windows audio drivers on my machine. The audio works fine in Mac mode but errors out looking for the drivers in PC mode.
My brain errors out looking for the page with the proper drivers.
    Any leads greatly appreciated..

    Thanks for responding.
Yes, I have Boot Camp back-up CD (2 copies actually - 'Macintosh Drivers for Windows XP')
Error message I get when I run the set-up file from either copy: "Unable to locate file Macintosh Drivers for Windows.xp.msi."
Is there anywhere on line to download the drivers?
    Thanks again

  • Compaq CQ60-615Dx keyboard displays wrong key. Problem is only with the 2 w s and x keys.

Problem is only with 2 w s x keys.  Tried updating BIOS and num lock suggestion.  Looking for instruction for removing keyboard or any suggestions

    Hi,
This may well be a Hardware issue with the keyboard itself, but re-seating the ribbon connection to the Motherboad and the keyboard is certainly worth trying.
The procedure to remove the keyboard is detailed starting on Page 56 of your Maintenance & Service Guide.

  • Compaq CQ60-615DX Notebook. Unable to sign into my profile. Error msg.

I don't know if I picked the right topic.  I have this laptop that has 3 profiles. 1 for me, mom and system administrator, 2 sessions for my kids.  My profile is password protected and I have the laptop set up so that my children cannot make changes to certain things.
I recently turned on my laptop, entered my password, and was told it was incorrect.  Well it wasn't but I was unable to even change it.  I received the following error message:  "The user profile service failed the log on.  User profile cannot be loaded."
Can this be fixed?  I have my thesis on my session and pics, etc.   Please help!
    Thank you.

Usually restoring the machine settings to a date before the problem will resolve this. There are several ways to get into Safe Mode to run it, but probably the easiest (not knowing which OS you are running) is to boot into HP Recovery Manager by tapping away at the F11 key immediately after powering on the laptop. This will boot into Recovery Manager. Once there choose Microsoft System Restore - NOT System Recovery. When MS System Restore window opens choose to reset the laptop back to a date before the problem started.

  • Cq60-420us no audio on windows 8

compaq cq60-420us I installed windows 8 pro and the audio will not work, tried all drivers in hp and windows update and no sound. Update from windows update has this message not signed code 52, any ideas.

I didn't read that untill I bought windows 8, everything worked with win8 consumer preview so I bought it, this is the laptop I use at home so I didn't mess with anything at work since we use skype all the time. I done and moved on now and I'm going to look at companies that will support their products for more than a year, I think when I upgrade my work pc's I will give Mac a try since they will send someone to my work to set everything up, besides HP might mot be in business according to what I have read. I'm sending this from my Mac since I also have 2 of these and the new OS is better than Microsoft will ever come up with no matter how much they copy apple and android, and besides that Apple supports all their equipment way on back. Thanks anyway

  • Audio drivers for Compaq C770LA for Win XP Pro / integrated mic not working

Hello. I have downgraded a Compaq C770LA to Win XP Pro SP3. Almost everything seem works perfect, but I have tried several audio drivers and still can´t get to control or use the integrated mic which this notebook has. I can hear audio and even record, etc, but there is no way to use or get to the integrated mic and some of the volumen controls I was used to (as "Record whats been listened") are lost. Does anybody knows wheter I have to change the driver or if it´s going to be any difference if I install for example the smartaudio add-on? I tried HP but they replied they don´t provide drivers for notebook for Operating Systems other than the one they gave the notebook with.
Thanks in advance for any clue!

  • Windows 7 Wireless and Audio Drivers on 2010 MacBook Pro

I have a new MacBook Pro i7 2.66 Mhz with Snow Leopard and dual boot to Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate. I can't find the correct drivers (Windows 7 side) to get the audio and the wireless networking operating. I ran the bootcamp setup from the Snow Leopard install disc on Windows 7. It gave an error message that this model is not supported. I then ran each software driver individually from the install disc and was able to get all to work except the audio and wireless. I then installed the Bootcamp 3.2 update from the Internet with no improvement.
Does anybody know where the audio and wireless drivers can be located for Windows 7? (Apple Support has not been able to resolve the problem yet) Thank You!

I'm having the same problem with Windows 7 64-bit Professional. I had to go through the same process to get most of the drivers installed. I've had the same issues with the wireless and audio drivers.
To get the Apple drivers installed, I followed the instructions from this blog post.

  • Problems with the latest Windows 7 Conexant HD Audio Drivers For WIndows 7

    Hi,
I have a Toshiba Satellite P305-S8997E with the Conexant High Definition SmartAudio 211 speakers. I have recently upgraded with the Windows 7 32/64-bit audio drivers posted within the last week in the Drivers section, and have had a few problems with them. Namely that whenever I listen to music (and etc), the volume is fairly low, and even when the speaker AND media player (Foobar, FYI) volumes are cranked, they flucuate, and eventually end up being much lower than they should. Is there any fix to this? I recently downgraded to the last Vista 64-bit drivers for them and that has ended the volume problem, but it doesn't sound as good as it should to my ears. Any help is appreciated.
Also, this computer is only about two months old, and this problem hasn't surfaced until very lately, so I doubt it's something like the speakers going out or anything.

Windows 7 is still a PRE-RELEASE OS until the OFFICIAL release date of October 22nd.  Toshiba and other manufacturers are still working on their drivers and may not have fully functioning drivers until then.  My advice is be patient and wait for them to get all of the bugs out.
If you don't post your COMPLETE model number it's very difficult to assist you. Please try to post in complete sentences with punctuation, capitals, and correct spelling. Toshiba does NOT provide any direct support in these forums. All support is User to User in their spare time.

  • Compaq Laptop CQ60-615DX Little white light beside the dc jack blinking repeatedly non-stop

Compaq Laptop CQ60-615DX white light next to where you plug in the power cable keeps blinking. Never stops Blinking. Computer doesn't power on.
The DC jack is loose, took the laptop apart, pressed down on the dc jack to hold it in place, and stuck the power cable back in. Tried to wiggle the cable around to see if the jack is bad. But it feels pretty solid, it's just the housing holding the dc jack in place that's broken.
But I'm still getting the little white light beside the dc jack blinking repeatedly non-stop. No system power.
    Question is.
    1. Is the DC power jack bad and needs to be replaced or.
    2. There is a short in the motherboard and the motherboard needs to be replaced.
I have check all over the internet for what the white light blinking means. I've found no answer.
Could someone please tell me what is wrong with this computer?

I already encouted this problem yesterday and I want to share this information on how I was able to fix this issue where in the dc jack blinking repeatedly and the laptop wont turn on.  This issue is resulted due to overheat so laptop automatically shutdown and results to some kind of hibernation.
    1. First you need to dissamble your laptop (compaq cq60). To clean the exhaust fan. I cleaned it because it was very dirty. I used my laptop for almost five years. If you dont know how to dissamble your laptop, you can check the tutorial from youtube. Just be very careful.
    2. After Removing all the parts you can use a brush to remove all the dust inside your laptop. After cleaning all the dirt inside the laptop you need to let the motherboard cool for 1 to 1.5 hrs.
    3. When you put the dc jack dont put the battery. So once you plugged the DC jack you can see if the light beside the jack still blinking or steady.
    4. Once the light is steady., you can now power on your laptop. and a message will appear that your laptop overheated.
    5. You can use cooling fan to prevent from heating.
    6. Clean the parts inside your laptop every half year. to remove dust that cause the exhaust fan not to work properly.
Now I was able to use my laptop again.
    Best Regards to All!

  • Q100 audio drivers for Windows 7?

I recently purchased a Q100 (3014-1CU), and after an initial bootup to the factory installed Win XP, I installed Windows 7 (32-bit), via USB cdrom. That process went smooth and everything works except for the audio. Windows 7 detected audio as "High Definition Audio Device" and uses the generic microsoft provided driver (hdaudio.dll). Though the device itself seems detected correctly (there is no yellow exclamation point in device manager), the audio emitted contains crackling, static, and appears to be slightly off pitch. It is similar to a problem I had a long time ago (on different hardware) where the wrong bitrate was set for the card. So anyways, I've tried everything I can think of to get the audio working:
    - Verified all physical connections are secure (Since the audio worked in my initial bootup to XP, this shouldn't be the issue)
    - Swapped speakers and cables (same problem)
    - Tweaked various audio settings: Tried all available bitrates, disable digital enhancements and pretty well every other driver-exposed setting was tweaked
    - Tried other generic audio drivers that microsoft ships (Microsoft WDM Audio Drivers; another version of High Definition audio device). These drivers did not even initialize
    - Tried to tweak BIOS settings (only thing in BIOS is to disable the onboard audio outright)
    - Looked on lenovo's website for updated drivers: Nothing is available for Q100
    - Looked on SIS website for updated drivers: Nothing is available for this chipset
    - Did a PCI database lookup and found this to be a Realtek based device; installed the newest driver's found on www.realtek.com.tw (version R2.39). These drivers installed correctly, but did not fix the problem.
So at this point, I'm suspecting I'm going to need a lenovo or Sis driver to get this working. Can someone from  lenovo point me to drivers for this device (even if they are XP drivers) or offer any suggestions?
    Thanks

For anyone else who runs into this issue, I managed to "fix" the problem by installing an old version of the realtek driver (5898_PG281_VISTA_TurnOff_PullMode_Upd), found with a bunch of other debugging and hints on this thread: http://www.sevenforums.com/sound-audio/22369-realtek-windows-7-64rtm-crackle-static-popping.html
I'm still looking forward to seeing an official driver posted by Lenovo for this issue, since the old driver is out of date, removes some functionality and is unsigned
