Compaq Cyberlink Youcam driver

Hi guys.
I have a Compaq Presario CQ60-405EI. I have not been able to use the webcam since I bought my PC! I have downloaded the Cyberlink Youcam software but still my webcam is not wroking. The Imaging Device is not listed on the Device manager and I have tried to search for the Youcam driver from the hp website but it is not available. Where can I download the driver?
PLEASE HELP. Im in a foreign country and I need to skype with my fiance!!

Hi @BharathKrishna ,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your Compaq 15 s105TU Notebook and issues with the WebCam not working correctly. Here is a document on WebCam troubleshooting.
If that does not help I would uninstall the Cyberlink and the MediaSmart software completely and reinstall the software.
The CyberLink YouCam Software should be installed.
Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant if you need it. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system at the time of purchase.
Please let me know how this goes.
Thanks.

  • My built-in webcam is not being detected by CyberLink Youcam on Windows 7 (HP Pavilion dv2660se)

Hi, I bought this laptop from someone I know, and Windows 7 came with it. I must say I don't know much about electronics. The built-in webcam won't work, either on CyberLink YouCam or on MSN Messenger. On CyberLink Youcam, it says no webcam is detected. In the control panel it doesn't even say there's a webcam, but there's an 'unknown peripheric' though. What can I do? P.S.: Please forgive english mistakes if there's any.

Hi I have exactly the same problem. My webcam was working for months but I recently had the laptop sent for repairs for something else, and I've just noticed since having it back that the webcam isn't detected. When going into the webcam program it says there is no webcam detected and for integrated cameras, make sure it is switched on. I've also had an unknown USB device notification flashing up but when I investigate in Device Manager I have in 'Sound, video and game controllers' Cyberlink Youcam virtual driver installed and 'functioning properly' Also in USB devices there is a usb not functioning properly "Universal Serial Bus Controllers / (Standard USB Host controller) / Port_#0002.Hub_#0003" and 'no drivers have been loaded for this device'. It's unknown but when I choose to search  manually for driver updates the path it directs me to is C:\Program Files (x86)\Realtek\NICDRV_8169\win7    'Windows has stopped this device as it has reported problems (Code 43)' Does anyone know what I might be able to do? I've tried reinstalling the Webcam driver but apparent from that I don't really know where to go.... Thanks

  • Install Cyberlink YouCam Software

    Hi,
when i try to install Cyberlink YouCam Software->sp70822.exe, i am gettint the error "You do not have the compatible VGA hardware or driver to run Yucam" ,how to use my cam?can anybody help me..

Hi: Did you install the applicable graphics drivers for your machine? You need to: 1. Install the Intel chipset installation utility and reboot. This package contains the Intel Chipset Installation Utility and Driver for supported notebook models and operating systems. This utility enables the operating system to show the correct name for the installed Intel hardware in the Microsoft Windows Device Manager. File name: sp69573.exe 2. Install the Intel HD graphics driver and reboot. This package provides the driver that enables the Intel High-Definition (HD) Graphics in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. If high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) video output is supported, this package also installs the HDMI Audio Driver. File name: sp70015.exe 3. Install the Nvidia HD graphics driver and reboot. This package provides the driver that enables the NVIDIA High-Definition (HD) Graphics in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. If high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) video output is supported, this package also installs the HDMI Audio Driver. File name: sp69609.exe

  • My cyberlink youcam wont work on my new laptop. it says my vga hardware is not compatable. help!

I got a new HP g6 laptop and when I try to use CyberLink youcam it says it cannot operate because my VGA driver or hardware is not compatable. How do I fix this? Thanks

The phone is locked to another provider. You will have to contact the provider to which the phone is locked to get the device unlocked. The seller may have told you that the phone would work with T-Mobile because the phone is GSM and has a SIM slot. That does nothing if the phone is locked to another provider. You may also have been scammed.

  • My built-in webcam is not being detected by CyberLink Youcam

My built-in webcam is not being detected by CyberLink Youcam (webcam) Pavilion dv6-6c10us

    Hello,
I see that you're having an issue with the webcam in the notebook. If you could, please check and see if the webcam is listed in the device manager. If you don't know how to check for that, you can follow step 1.
Now, if you can't seem to find it listed in the device manager it could be that the webcam may have become unplugged internally and requires service. It could be a faulty webcam module which is not been recognized. I suspect you might have to send the Notebook in for a warranty repair to get it fixed. Now, if that's the case after following the steps below you will need to call HP@8004746836 and see what options they have to replace or repair the notebook.
Also, you can follow these steps to try and resolve the issue.
    Steps:
Please follow this document which will guide you through a couple of steps on how to resolve this issue you're having.
The document should something like this:
First, try this steps that's circled.
If the first steps doesn't seem to resolve the issue go ahead and follow the next step below.
The first section "Video does not appear in your webcam software (such as YouCam, Skype, Messenger, etc.)" will guide you through a couple of trouble shooting steps to get the webcam to work within these programs.
If the first step doesn't resolve the issue please go to step #2 "Reinstalling the original webcam program that came with your computer”. This section will guide you through recovering the webcam software and drivers. This is the most important steps in the document if nothing before this resolves the issue.
It should look something like this:
Once you have finished both steps please let me know the outcome. If you have any more questions please ask.

Hello br_benz. I understand that you're receiving the "webcam not detected" error. Is this correct?
You state that you've already spoken with HP Support directly and tried some solution with no luck. I recently made a post about this issue which will likely cover many if not all of support's usual solutions. Take a look at that thread here.
If you've tried all the steps outline in the above thread then the notebook most likely needs to be repaired. In the event that this is the case give HP Support a call again. If you're in the US/Canada the phone number is 1-800-474-6836. For other countries you'll need to visit HP Support Worldwide to get your region's contact information.
I hope this is helpful; have a great day!

The NC6000 doesn't use a SATA hard drive, uses an IDE unit.

  • Cyberlink YouCam Software update is 'hanging''

    Hi,
Today, HP automatically downloaded and installed "Cyberlink MediaSuite10-desktop" onto my laptop and everything went without a hitch.
It then immediastey downloaded Cyberlink YouCam Software OK but the "installation" appears to have hung for the last 40 minutes or so.
In the Task Manager, a "Windows Modules Installer Working" process alternates between fairly intense CPU activity and Disk activity.
I'll give it a while longer, but is there any way of interrupting this apparently failed installation without causing problems? If so, how do I go about trying to install Cyberlink YouCam Software again - or will the HP software try again of itys own accord?
I've only had the laptop a couple of weeks and don't know much about anything.

    The second installation went OK.
This time I watched what was happening:
When the download was complete, the actual attempt at installation was indicated by two spinning cogs - something I missed the first time so that I thought the failed icon (a cross in place of a green tick) meant the program had hung.
Basically, I panicked for nothing - oops!

  • CyberLink YouCam wont record

I have been using the CyberLink YouCam for recording videos but now when I try to record,  10 videos with black screens apear at the bottom. and i cant watch videos i recently created please help me. -Syd

    Hi Syd1599,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read your thread on your HP Notebook and having issues with the Cyberlink YouCam software. Try performing a hard reset. When performing a hard reset please note remove any and all USB devices, and remove memory cards from the card reader slot. The hard reset will terminate anything that is either stalled or not responding. Does it give you an error message? What about a regular movie DVD does it play? I would be happy to assist if needed as there are many models of HP Notebooks. I would need the model number. How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
Please respond with which Operating System you are running:
Which Windows Operating System am I running?
