This flag indicates whether the maintenance transaction allows the
(checked) activation of Business Configuration Sets (BC Sets), and the
adjustment. This is the case if the maintenance transaction can run in
the background.
For more information, see the Application Help for the table maintenance
generator (transaction SE54).
The following settings exist:
No Information
The system does not know whether the maintenance transaction allows
BC Set activation and adjustment.
As with the setting "Not Adjustable", the content of the BC Sets is
written to the Customizing tables without being checked.
Not Adjustable
The BC Sets cannot be activated and checked. The maintenance
transaction does not support the adjustment.
The content of the BC Sets is written to the Customizing tables
without being checked.
Instead of an adjustment, you can only compare the views or tables
with another client or system. Any modifications that arise from an
adjustment must be made manually.
Adjustable in Dialog
As with the setting "Not Adjustable", the content of the BC Sets is
written to the Customizing tables without being checked.
An automatic adjustment is not possible, however, you can compare
the views or tables with another client or system, and adjust the
differences (either all of them or a selection) with the dialog
adjustment function.
Automatically Adjustable
BC Sets are activated with all field checks.
The object can be adjusted automatically against another client as
part of a Customizing import. This means that the data with
differences can be imported from the comparison client. As well as
the automatic adjustment option, the maintenance transaction also
offers the dialog adjustment function.

Need to chg text of a field in SM30: Compare Flag

Hi,
I created a table & created a table maintance Generator.
I want to change the text of a field in SM30. Currently it is taking from Dictonary Field text.
I went to SE11->Table Maintance Generator-> Modification->Maintance Screen->Flow Logic
There i changed the text of the field, saved & activated.
When i press the back button, a pop-up box appear "Modify the compare flag if a screen changes".
Please assist me in fixing this

Hello Suresh,
The pop-up comes due to an inconsistent settings maintained in SE54. There is a flag called 'Compare Flag', which I am assuming, has been set to Automatically Adjustable in SE54.
But beyond this, you have manually adjusted the screen parameters, which contradict with the Compare flag settings.
Goto SE54, and change the flag to Adjustable in Dialog and save the SE54.
The pop-up should be eliminated.

Can iPhoto automatically adjust one photo to match another one?

Hi everyone,
I would like to know if iPhoto (or any other application) can do the following neat trick.
Let’s say I have two very similar photos, only differing in parameters like tint, exposure, and contrast for example. Is it possible to have the application compare the two photos and automatically adjust the tint, exposure, contrast, and so on, of one photo so that it looks exactly like the other one?
Maybe no application can do that, but then do you know of any trick to help doing that manually?

iPhoto can't do that and I've not seen or read of any application that can. It would take some very sophisticated analytical software to be able to do that.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There's now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

You can download the trial version (http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html) to convert the PDF back to WORD if you do not have the original. The conversion may not be perfect, but it is typically better than starting from scratch. You may be lucky and get a good result. You might check the settings (in the save screen) to try retain format versus retain text flow. The format version can be a pain to edit since it creates a bunch of text boxes. The flow version may require you to reformat in WORD, but you likely would want to do that anyway.

Is there any function to automatically adjust the voice volume in the multitrack

I'm trying to mix voice sounds and music files into one track. Sounds easy! But almost every music has its loud parts(for example the climax) and quiet parts. Therefore when i listen to the voice and the music at the same time, the voice files are sometimes relatively too quiet and sometimes to loud. I don want to adjust the volume pan one part after another because I have a lot of files to mix. Could you tell me is there any function I can use to automatically adjust the voice volume to make it always 'just a bit higher than the music'? Or can I read some documents about this problem?

Sounds like you want to do what is called "ducking" & "side chaining".
First try using a compressor and or limiter on the voice tracks to get a more even volume.
Google: Audio Ducking tons of stuff on how to.
I myself have never tried this with Audition, or the compressors that come with it. I have done it in other multitrack software and older versions of Dave Browns Compressor.

F5061 Balance in local currency EUR is too large for automatic adjustment

My Company code currency is EUR. The customer has made a downpayment in USD (say 100) and i am now to clear the same against invoice of same amount in USD (100 $) but its is resulting into minor differences in Local currency. I am getting the following error

Message no. F5061
Diagnosis
For postings in foreign currency, it is possible that the balance in foreign currency is zero, but not in local currency. Providing the balance in local currency does not amount to more currency units than the document has line items, the system adjusts the amounts automatically. If an automatic adjustment is not possible, the amounts must be adjusted manually in local currency.
System Response
The document is not posted in local currency without adjusting the amounts.
Procedure
Adjust the amounts in local currency.
How can i have the system automatically fetch the Gl accounts to post the exchange rate differeces.

Hi,
I have the same problem; my company code is defined in HUF and I am trying to post a vendor invoice in Euros.
I have a 10% maintained there and still receiving the error, either for differences of just one HUF. The strangest thing is that differences are automatically adjusted (also for discrepancies over the 10%) when posting through FB60 but not when using FB01.
Any idea?

Automatic adjusting of the volum level

Does anybody know in witch way/how the player does the automatic adjusting of the volum level? How does the automatic adjusting of the volum level work? Is it just the decibel that is "normalising"? How does the player measure it? Are the frequenses exactly the same in a song/tune after the automatic adjusting?
Is there anything else in the sound that is influenced in any way?

Rich: calendar problem when automatically adjust clock for daylight saving

Hello, I'm in trouble when the option to automatically adjust clock for daylight saving time is marked. My locale is pt_BR, and when I try to select the day it simply returns to 17.10.2010 on 16.10.2010 took the test in the following component and realized that the same problem occurs when the Windows clock option is selected .

OK, now how to solve this problem? Try the test in your area by selecting the day that DST occurs, you will see what will happen the same problem (to select the day that DST occurs on the screen will return one day less), do the test with the demos that I put in the first post, rich: calendar and prime: calendar.
I do not know if it helps, but I noticed the firebug firefox debugging, it does not matter the way you change the locale or timezone, as the current date from the calendar javascript will always be the standard of the machine running the component.

Design Studio Scripting function "refresh" to reload the BI LaunchPad Browser Window and solve the automatic adjustment

Hi experts,
I have created a Design Studio application with GridLayout Components to ensure the automatic adjustment.
In the local mode everything works fine! If I maximize or minimize the browser window the automatic adjustment of the design studio application works absolutely correct.
If I execute the same Design Studio Application in SAP BI LaunchPad the automatic window adjustment works only fine if I refresh the Browser window after minimize or maximize.
Example:
Mnimized and refreshed Browser window (good):
Maximzed and not refreshed Browser window (bad):
To fix this issue, Is there a workaround with a scripting funtion (e.g. ".refresh") to give the user the possibility to reload the browser window by a button or icon?
By the way, the issue and the Todo "Refresh" is valid in Design- and Runtime!

Isn't this issue fixed in 1.2 SP1?
In any case if you want to manual refresh you have to redraw the chart, this can be achieved by,
reloading data source,
change some selection in the chart,
or change the data source, (apply filter,swap dimensions etc.)

Automatic adjustements to RAW image?

Hi,
I am fairly new to using Lightroom and I wondered if someone might be able to help....
I notice that when i import RAW images into Lightroom and open them up, they immediately become dull, less vibrant and very different o the in-camera image. I have tried to find whether there is asetting which applied automatic adjustements to the image but have been unsuccessful. This doesn't seem to happen when i use the Canon RAW processing software. Any ideas?

It might be that a preset is being applied to your photos during import.
Make sure that no auttone is applied. Go >Edit >Preferences >Presets tab and make sure that <Apply auto tone adjustments> is un-checked. See screen shot:
When you import images into Lr, on the right side in the Import Dialog under <Apply during Import> make sure that <None> is selected. See screen shot:
Irrespective of that, your image will look different than on your camera display.
It is sometimes assumed that the image on camera display must be the "correct" image. That is not so. The camera creates a tiny JPG for display that is not representative of the Raw image. Lr gives you a better rendition of your image.
If it looks flat and dull - that is not a flaw. Contrast and saturation or vibrancy can always and easily be adjusted. In fact, a flat looking image is easier to work with.
A "crispy" looking image seems "better" at first. But often the contrast and/or the saturation are too high and detail gets lost. This might not be visible on the screen but becomes apparent when the image is printed.
Aside from that: Lr can show you the image correctly only when your monitor is calibrated.

This is typical of the default NEF RAW conversion of Aperture and the best thing you can do is set up a few presets to apply to all of your RAW images to get a tone curve and colors that is pleasing to you as a default. The in camera JPEGs / embedded JPEGs (that you first see during import) are treated to the Nikon "Picture Control" settings that are set on the camera - the RAW's as interpreted by Aperture are not.

I'm new to Mac, Applescript and Automator and I'm trying to make a automation for when I perform on stage and found a script to set the brightness all the way up but can't find a script to disable "Automatically adjust brightness". Any help would be appreicated.

Help! Why does Aperture automatically adjust my white balance?

Just wondering if anybody knew why Aperture seems to want to automatically adjust the white balance settings of the RAW .NEF images I've been importing. I mean, on an example image, the in camera white balance was about 5900K with no hue adjustments, but when I imported it into aperture, it looked completely different. Sure enough, Aperture had set a color temp of 5475K and a hue of -22. If I wanted it to be adjusted, I would've asked, but I spent the time getting the white balance right in camera for a reason. I really don't want to have to go back and adjust every image manually. That would defeat the purpose. Please, lend some insight.

I have a D80. Do you think apple will eventually develop a solution to this problem, or some sort of workaround? In the meantime, might I be better off just using the proprietary software, like captureNX? Or, how about adobe camera raw?

IText trouble with automatically adjustment of table width

With iText I an producing a PDF file with some elements. One of these is a table which is supposed to be centered.
In this table 2x2 with input form a Servlet. This input is a string of variable length, in other words I do not know the length of it.
I want this table to automatically adjust the cells width according to the length of the String. As I understand iText does not posess this functionality.
This is how I have created the table: The first column has a width of 0.3 because the values in those I allready know. The default value is centered and 80% span, and because of this the table is not centered according to the text since the content contains empty space, but the 80% span table is centered.

If I calculate the width to be 0.6f with font size 22 and length x, how much percentages should I use?

You need to use FontMetrics. In particular, use the FontMetrics of the table's renderer component so the string width will be calculated correctly even if the cell's value is bold. Something like this:
