Compare two arrays (greater-equal) has wrong result. Bug?

Hallo,
in my attached example (LX 8.2) i have three arrays which are displayed in the graph.
As you can see the "Trace-plot" is below the "LowerLimit-plot".
In the code i do a "Trace >= LowerLimit" which should have the result = FALSE because its not always >=.
But the result is TRUE!!
Why??
All three arrays have 201 points

It is only recording the last point saved from the comparison.  Try This:

Sorry about the hidden wires!  I just added the FOR loop very quickly and didn't clean it up.

    I have two arrays such as these

    a      1
    a      5                                 a
    b      2                                 b
    c      3                                 f
    d      4                                 g
    e      5                                 h
    f       6
    g      7
    g      10
    h      8

    with what i have now i can create an array that lists the matching elements
    Results:
    a          1
    b          2
    f           6
    g          7
    h          8
    However, it does not record both sets of a,g, and h, only the first instance. Anyone know how to fix this problem?

    They have same size. The only difference are the last two 1,1 in array B.
    What do i have to do to get an array that contains only the differences?

    ... And if you want less obscure code, simply use a "not equal" from the comparison palette, same result.
    "Not equal" is much easier to understand for a new programmer than the geeky " xor". It is also more universal and works for arrays of any datatype. For example xor will do bitwise for integers and won't work for DBL, != will always give you a boolean array showing which elements differ.

  • Comparing two ResultSets for equality

    Hello,
    I wish to test if two separate ResultSet objects are identical.
    By identical I mean that two different ResultSet objects are identical if
    they contain the same rows in the same order, and each row contains identical values in the two ResultSets.
    Two possibilities could be that the equals() method returns true or that the hashcode() method also produces the same hash value if the objects are identical as described.
    I haven't been able to find any documentation on this issue.
    Does anyone know if either (or both) of these methods have the contract as described above? If so are they guaranteed?
    I can see several potential problems here. Performance with a large ResultSet, duplicate rows, and the ordering of rows not being guaranteed?

    identical as described.I can tell you without looking anything up that these methods do not do that, as doing that would require them to scan the entire result-set, and JDBC tries to avoid doing useless processing. You are going to have to write this code yourself.

    Seems to me like you should implement a true State Machine.  This way you can repeat states and/or jump states as needed.

  • How compare two URLs for equality if one uses jar protocol?

    I'm trying to see if some URLs are referring to the same jar file but some of them come with the prepend/append of "jar:file:/" and "!/" and some are just as "file:/". So when I call "URL.equals(...)", it returns false. How do I properly compare these two?

    The URL with the leading "jar:" and trailing "!/" is a JAR URL. It's described in the JarURLConnection class API document.
    This is one way (there any be a simpler one). You will have to figure out whether you're working with a jar URL or a "regular" URL by parsing the URL to figure out which kind it is. One diffrence is the leading "jar"

    PROBLEM #1
    Recently when performing a simple "minus front" with two objects, I get very wrong results. See image below. I created icons that are knocking out the BG behind it. Had no problems with the others until I got to the fork. I created the fork using rectangles, and the new direct select to create round corners feature. I can work around this problem by creating an opacity mask on the BG and pasting in the icon at full black. However, when I import that into inDesign, the fork still shows as it's original color. Ok fine. I can export from AI as a .png and avoid it. But that's a pain, and CC has already been pushing my buttons this week. And I'd rather just figure out the why.
    I also rasterized the fork icon in AI, then performed an image trace to vectorize it again - in hopes that this would be a magical fix. It was not. It ended up being a worse result than before, after using minus front.
    PROBLEM #2
    I found that if I alt-drag these elements, and then perform the minus front, I get very close to what is expected. However, this is where it gets really weird. Once I drag the newly created shape around my artboard, the area that had the minus front performed on it, begins to change. See the pictures below picture one for reference. What the eff. This is really confusing.
    Any help would be great. I am putting together a branding guidelines tonight for my client and this happens to be one of those little snags.

    You've got the Align-to-Pixel Grid turned on and are not using whole pixels for your objects.

    Hi!
    Could you please help me how can I can compare two int[] array?
    I've got int[] a and int[] b
    I have tried a.equals(b) but even if all the elements are the same, it returns false.
    Should compare any elements in the array?

  • Can;t find what is wrong. Trying to add elements in two arrays

    Hello everyone
    I'm trying to take as input two numbers, convert them to arrays and add all the element of the array one by one. I want the result to be the sum of every element of the array. Let's say array1={1,2,3,4} and array2={2,6,4,3} I want the final result to be 3877.
    If the sum of one element of the array is greater than nine, then I would put zero and add 1 to the element on the left.

    The best advice I can give you is to break your problem up into smaller pieces. First, focus on a method that converts an input String into an array. When you have that working perfectly, then focus on creating a method that "adds" two arrays with the logic you described. When you have that working perfectly, then combine the two different pieces.
    Why does your for loop in toArray( ) start with 1? The first index of a String, array, or pretty much anything else, is zero.

  • Failed to compare two elements in the array

    very often, I have the error "Failed to compare two elements in the array" in Exchange 2013 ECP. We are not running DAG. I google a bit but don't get a lot of result on this.
    I was trying to track mail from a user who send to DL group. Since I can't do in in ECP , how can I do it in EMS?

    I too have this issue.  I'm not sure how wide spread.  I know of one user who sends emails regularly to a DL named "All Users" which is a Security Group which we then add real users to and not just every mailbox.  When he sends the emails,
    from his perspective, everything is fine, meaning he gets to NDR or anything.  Also, when he adds the Dl in Outlook To field and expands it, all the correct users are there.  In fact, it tells him there are 203 addresses here.  However, only
    184 are actually getting the message.  When I try the EAC to view the tracking report, it will show the message, but if I click on the edit button, I get "Failed to compare two elements in the array".  If I try from EMC with search-messagetrackingreport
    -identity "recipient address" -sender "sender address" -bypassdelegatechecking and the recipient address is the group, it says it could not be found.  If I try with simply putting an email address of someone who is a member of that group, it says Warning:
    An unexpected error has occured and a Watson dump is being generated.  Failed to compare two elements in the array.  I don't know what else to try.  Anybody??

Maybe you are looking for
