Comparing two documents created in QuickSilver is not working

How can I resolve Acrobat 9 not being able to compare PDFs created in QuickSilver?
When the user tries the comparison, Acrobat displays a window that reads: "Adobe could not create the report document."

Thank you; but, we are in a controlled environment and cannot download/use software that has not been approved. We are using the most current version (v 9) we are approved to use.

It sounds like your installation is corrupted. I don't know what two checkmarks you mean, but when the Setup Assistant starts it collects some personal information after which it will return you to your normal Desktop. If it isn't doing that, then something is not right.
I think you will need to shut down the computer, then reboot. If you are able to reboot, then check About This Mac under the pple menu to see what version of OS X it shows is installed. If it shows 10.9.x then do the following:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions - Mavericks, Lion/Mountain Lion
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.

Is "Compare two Documents" only in the Mac version?

I see discussions that talk about comparing two documents using "Document>Compare Documents", but I can't find any kind of compare feature anywhere in the menu structure. I'm using Acrobat 9, Standard on Win XP here.
I have Acro Pro v5.0 at home and it's just not there.
I'm curious because I posted to Framers and got several responses directing me to the feature. I'm guessing this is just
a difference between the Mac version and the Windows version?
I'm trying to find something that will simplify the process of marking changes between two PDFs.

How to change the color of letters instead of highlight the text when compare two documents

I have the Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro (Versión 9.0.0) and I need to compare two documents, but I want to show the diferences changing the color of letters instead of highlight the text with any color. My boss tell me that other Acrobat version have this option, but I couldn't find it in this version.

Word document created by Workflows do not open

We are using Sharepoint Online (2013 version) and sharepoint Designer 2013
We have a requirement by which we would like to update a 'Word template' with the metadata information from a Document Set. A word document is created after the workflow executes, but the
created document is corrupt.
It does not open in Word Web App and when I open it using Word, I get errors.
I have Word 2010 installed on my machine. Can this be some kind of incompatibility?
I was going through some threads in this forum and noticed that this problem has been reported before also.
Is this some kind of a known issue when creating documents using Designer workflows?
What will be the alternate solution to meet this requirement
Any suggestions in this regard would be helpful

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that the word documents created by workflow could not open.
Did the issue occur in other libraries? You can create a new workflow, then check whether it works.
You can also use the Copy item action for a workaround.
Here is what you can try.
1. Have your template in a folder that is hidden from your views.
2. Copy the template file with a name of your choice using "Copy list item" action
3. Use "Update List Item" action to change the properties.

Hi iMayner,
I don't know of a way to easily compare two documents in Pages. Maybe there is an app to do this, but I don't know of one.
What you can do in Pages is to open both documents, resize the windows and drag them side-by-side on the screen. Pages 5 has a limit on how narrow you can make the windows, so this may be a bit of a pain.
The first step would be to show the Word Count in both documents. (Pages 5.5.1 Menu > View > Show Word Count, or click on the View button in the ToolBar and Show Word Count). If the Word Counts are the same, you have **some** confidence that the documents are identical, but no guarantee.
An example of two short documents with different word counts:
Document A (33 words)
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
Don't count your chickens until they hatch.
Don't cross your bridges until you come to them.
An apple a day keeps the doctor away.
Document B (34 words)
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
Don't count your chickens until they have hatched.
Don't cross your bridges until you come to them.
An apple a day keeps the doctor away.
To home in on that difference, copy and paste each document into a column in a spreadsheet such as Numbers or Excel, so that each paragraph becomes a cell in a column. Turn on Wrap text in cell.
The different heights of each cell (paragraph) become apparent.

I had time dimension in the RPD.
I have stacked bar chart with same time dim like year & month in the report. when I go to legand and set navigation it is working fine. But not with pie chart.
I am not not sure what is the problem. When I click on Pie chart it is not navigating to the target report. Can it be any other issues..???

My Ipad 2 will not power on. I have tried the two button approach but it did not work. Until last evening, the Ipad was working very well. After it entered the sleep mode, it would not come back on. What can I do?

The first thing to suspect is a completely drained battery. When this happens the iPad shuts down and will not turn on. Even if you charge the iPad it may take more than 30 minutes before it responds. Plug the iPad into the charger that came with it and plug the charger into a known good wall outlet. Do not charge the iPad by connecting it to a computer. Wait 30 minutes. Then reset the iPad. Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.
If the iPad restarts let it continue to charge until the battery is at 100%. If the iPad does not restart consider making an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

Differences between Acrobat 8 and 9 for Comparing two document

Hi,
We have huge differences in Acrobat 8 and 9 while doing comparing the two document even both the text are identical. Acrobat 8 comparison document is very easy and effective when compare to Acrobat 9.
I have attached the Acrobat 9 and 8 comparison screenshots.
Can we have any other method in Acrobat 9 Professional to show exact text mismatch?

Comparing two documents

Hi
In older versions of Acrobat, when I compared 2 documents, I ended up with a merged document that showed the original and changed text. In Acrobat 11, the same thing happens, but there are balloons over all the changes. This makes it difficult to see quickly in a printed document how the documents differ.
Does anybody know how to print a compare document that does not have the expanding comment bubbles?
