Comparison of URLs of files & documents on computer, with URLs in browsing history?

Is there an app or other way of comparing the urls of pdfs on my computer that have been saved & printed with urls in the browsing history (to find out if the browsing history has duplicates)? I'm looking for a means that doesn't involve the downloads manager or downloads folder.

Thank you for contacting support. Can you please clarify where you are seeing duplicates in browsing history? Is this the Goal: comparing printer logs, downloaded pdfs and printed, and browsing history all ?
I do not know of any add ons that do this.

MDN has some good instructions for how to start developing add ons [https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Developing_add-ons]
The history will be in places.sqlite in the profile folder. There is also [https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Tools/Network_Monitor] the MDN Network Monitor Tool that you can keep running all the time? Is this what you want to monitor?

How do I set a preset in LR to import all files from my computer with a Medium Tone Curve?

I edit a file in PS, and LR informs me that the "metadata for the file has been changed." I opt for import settings from disk (my changes), but in doing so the file is always rendered with a linear tone curve. What I am seeking is to have the file that I've been working on PS, be with the same rendering in LR.

I just followed your workflow. In other words I used the "edit in" option to send an image to Photoshop where I made a significant change in the tone curve. Then I saved that image, which returned to Lightroom. The Lightroom tone curve still displayed as a linear curve. In other words it didn't reflect the changes that I made in Photoshop. However the image itself displayed the changes that were made. So apparently saving your PSD in Photoshop will not force Lightroom to display the Photoshop changes. As far as Lightroom is concerned, that is the new linear curve. The only curve adjustments you will see in Lightroom are the ones made using Lightroom.
To summarize what I'm trying to say, whatever you change the curve to in Photoshop becomes the linear curve in Lightroom. Sorry that I am so poor with words sometimes.

But all the browsing history has disappeared, I had about 6 months prior to the crash, how can I recover it, is there a backup?

Transferring files from old computer with fire wire

I'm transferring files from my old computer to my new one. The old one has three hard drives. Everything from the startup drive transferred OK over fire wire, but the new computer doesn't see the 2nd and 3rd hard drives on the old one. Is there a way to link these? Thanks!

Click here and follow the instructions, setting up FireWire networking from System Preferences if desired. FireWire Target Disk mode will only connect to the master ATA drive on the ATA 0 bus, and will shut down the computer if there's nothing at that location.

How do I transfer files from a computer with OS 10.9 to a computer with OS 10.7

It's a long story, where my 5 year old MacBook Pro was dying and I transferred files to a newer iMac which runs OS 10.9.5. Then I erased the disk and reinstalled OS 10.7.5 on the MacBook. But, when I tried to transfer back from the iMac to the MacBook, it won't recognize the iMac as an external hard-drive. I am trying the method where one starts up holding the T, and then connects the computers with a wire. Worst case scenario I could burn DVDs to make the transfer, but it seems labor intensive and I am wondering if there is a more efficient way.

My laptop crashed and I had to get a new one. Reinstalled PSE 10 and cannot find where to put my preset action files. Previously, on Windows XP, I put files into a program data file under photo creations. I can't find a program data file or photo creation file. Can anyone help me?

You can drag your mouse to the left lower corner of the Desktop screen and when Start pops up, right click and choose Control Panel.
Then pick Appearance and Personalization and in the next screen to the right of where it says Folder Options, click on

How do I send computer .MOD files to Premiere 7 with quality?

I have a JVC Everio Hard Drive Camcorder with SD-Video format. Recording/Playback format is MPEG-2 with audio 2ch. Dolby Digital. I recorded at Ultra Fine mode (720 x 480 pixels). Downloaded these files to my computer with Windows 7, a Dell, Studio XPS 8100 with processor, Intel (R) Core (TM) i7CPU, 860 @ 2.8 GHZ; RAM 8 GB; Type 64 Bit. CamCorder has only USB connector no FireWire. The downloaded files have a file extension of .mod. When I started a project in PE 7 the playback was less than desirable. Presets 4:3 at standard. Would appreciate help. Have used the downloaded PE7 manual and the Muvipix Guide to PE 7 for guidelines.

Reading the Threads a few questions have arisen as I am getting ready to import media to PrE from my computer. It appears that PrE can import .MOD files without any conversion. Therefore would converting to AVI files increase the quality or be a waste of time? Secondly, many are extolling the virtues of Premiere 8. Would this update be of value to someone like me who takes videos on a limited scale but many digitized photos?

PDF document opening blank with just a frame.

I have a computer when it opens up a PDF file that is created by a certain user I get a blank document with a frame. If I open the same PDF on another computer it opens fine. I can open other PDF files on this computer with no problems just when I try to open PDFs from this one user. Is there a way to set Acrobat Reader back to its default settings to see if that will help.
Things that I have tried.
- Uninstall and reinstall Acrobat Reader
- Running version 9.3.3
- Running Windows XP SP3
- Tried a new user profile on the computer

I'm having the same exact trouble with opening a pdf file. I'm able to view it from another computer and I can view other PDF files from my computer but when it comes to opening certain docs in the company database, I'm not able to view, I get just gray screen. I'm sure it has something to do with the settings. My technical support team is baffled and he can't seem to find the trouble. He's uninstalled the program and re-installed it, but to no avail the same problem. If anybody out there is familar with the problem, please help!

Mavericks Spotlight is Horrible -- I have to use my Windows 7 PC to find files that my MacAir with Mavericks cannot find -- what has happened to the famous Mac search feature? It is almost useless!

Why does Mavericks Spotlight not find files named, for example, Ono et al 2009, PNAS, 106(35), 14745-14750 - annotated when I use Ono as the search word. I can find the file using the search feature on my Windows 7 PC. Is there a way to change the perferences in Spotlight so it finds all file names if one searchers on a word in the file name? When I enter Ono in the Spotlight search box I get OnOff Switch slider, a list of files in which the Ono paper is referenced, and a Ono Yoko! But it does not find the 6 or so PDF files on the Computer with Ono and the primary author in the file name! Spotlight is almost useless.
