In your Start menu, right-click "Computer" (or "My Computer" if using XP) and select "Manage".
    Expand "Services & Applications".
Open "Services". (Perhaps maximise the screen to better see what's going on.)
Right-click the Bonjour Service and select "Properties".
In the General tab, set the Startup type to "Automatic":
    ... and click OK.
Restart the PC. Do you still get the message about the service being disabled?

  • Can't activate home sharing

Hey, community! I'm having some problems with home sharing and the questions submitted in the forums didn't adjust to my case precisely, and I followed the instructions on the troubleshooting site and everything was good.
I've never been able to use home sharing before, nor now either. I have a MacBook Pro (13", mid-2012) with OS X 10.8.4 running iTunes 11.1, an iPhone 5 with iOS 7 and an iPad 2 with iOS 7 as well. I tried to connect via home sharing before from my iDevices (running the latest iOS 6 then), to be able to access to my MacBook's music library, but to no avail.
Being a little more descriptive, when I was trying to connect from my iDevice I always got the error message "Cannot activate 'Home Sharing'" —or, in spanish, "No se puede activar 'Compartir en casa'"—. Maybe I should also say that the Remote App doesn't work either, neither with the Home Sharing way nor the 4-number-code way. Is it maybe a network issue? My devices are connected to the same network, and iTunes detects the iPhone trying to control the music with the Remote App (I even put the 4-digit code, and it says it's connected) but doesn't work either.
Well, I hope I've made myself clear and you guys could help me out. Thanks in advance!

  • Development Component not visible in the Consolidation Compartment in CBS

    Hi Experts,
We have created a new development component on the track for which we
have created an DTR activity. After we checked in, activated & released
the activity successfully, we went to the consolidation tab in CMS and
imported the activity. We could successfully imported the activity into
consolidation system and got the message import finished. But when I checked
in the Consolidation compartment, I could not found out my newly
created Development component. I feel that the activities are not going there.
I also tried restarting the NWDI server but still no luck.
Kindly assist as without solving this issue we cannot assemble our
components and cannot move them to Quality environment.
Also, kindly assist how can we transport the entire SCA (where we have done the custom development) from development
to Consolidation for the same state?
Currently, we have lesser number of DCs in the SCA of my cons environment than my dev environment, so how can I exactly have the same state of custom developed SCA in my cons environment?
Is there any provision of system restore so that we can overcome the above issue or any other means by which we can move the entire SCA from my dev environment to cons environment.
Please suggest as this is affecting our go live activities.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Anurag

    Hi,
when you have imported into cons and it said finished succesfully, then clicking on the button "Details..." can you confirm that all the 3 phases were succesful (dtr import, cbs make and deployment) ?
Do you have any pending activations? You can check it in the CBS webui -- page "Activities".
Can you see any requests in the TCS deployer as described by Pramod ? (you need to look for numbers in square brackets [ ]. If there are any it means that those requests are still being deployed. If this is the case and the requests are not disappearing from the TCS Deployer, then doublecheck if the RTS settings for CONS are ok. Here a hint for that: http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/TechTSG/%28NWDI%29%28CMS%29Q0002).
Eventually if all this is fine, can you please trigger an Initialize Compartment (you do this in CBS webui -- select your CONS compartment).
    I hope this helps.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ervin

  • What's your favorite MacBook Pro case?

What’s your favorite 15” MacBook Pro case? I am looking for something small that will safely hold the 15” Macbook Pro and some accessory’s such as a mouse and AC adapter.

    Bag n’ Tag It
    by: Digital Dude
In today’s world of everything slim and integrated, more techno fanatics and Spartan travelers are embracing the minimalist approach. To that end, I was looking for an alternative to my bulky computer briefcase for travel. So, I ordered the “Buzz” by Tom Bihn.
Initially, I was a bit skeptical since the price of the Buzz is rather high for a nylon bag in today’s crowded market. Fortunately, the folks at Tom Bihn have an excellent guarantee with great customer service. If you receive the bag, and it’s not what you expected, simply return it without having to request an authorization. Try that with any other bag manufacturer!
    Exterior:
My first impression after opening the box was that the Buzz is in fact, a very well made nylon sling-bag with attractive accents. The initial fit on the back and shoulder was comfortable, and the crossover strap is wide and it fits guys and gals without interference. It’s also nicely padded and has a large durable quick disconnect fastener below your left rib area. There is a smaller adjustable waist strap for a more secure and balanced fit. I found it wasn’t necessary for casual carry although quite useful when riding a bike or running to catch that flight.
    Interior:
The Buzz has two main compartments with waterproof zippers that don’t snag and they seal very well.
The main compartment houses a unique padded panel with a fitted corner, similar to a fitted bed sheet that stretches over one corner of the MacBook Pro. The space between the computer holder and the zippered panel provides room for a book, magazines, documents, or even a small travel neck pillow.
The second zippered compartment is on the very back and is slightly smaller or stepped down from the main compartment. It includes the usual key strap and some angled stitched pockets for pens, business cards and one larger pocket that can hold a Passport or airline tickets, etc.
The third compartment is on the exterior right side and is made of elastic material and is designed to hold a bottle, small umbrella or equivalent. It also has two pull straps to further secure its contents.
Finally, there is a super convenient compartment in the center of the crossover strap with a Velcro closure. This is my favorite feature, since it holds your cell, iPod or more notably, the new iPhone securely across your chest.
    Field Tests:
I harnessed the Buzz, adjusted the straps and wore it for a week in and around town. The Buzz and its sling design holds' the 15-inch MacBook Pro, cables, charger, etc. in a vertical orientation on the back. This permits full range of motion for both arms, unlike most soft-sided computer briefcases.
At times, I wanted to shift the load, so I simply reached around with my left hand and lifted up slightly on the bottom as I grabbed the ferry-loop (top strap) with my right hand. In this manner, you can easily adjust the tension on the crossover strap.
The Buzz shoulder bag is advertised as offering “moderate” protection, although it’s quite adequate for most common travel activities. However, I wanted to see if I could fit my MacBook Pro while stuffed in the Tucano “Second Skin” sleeve. To my delight, it fit nearly perfect as though it was made for “The Buzz”. This combination effectively increases the travel protection by at least 2:1.
    Wish List:
Accessory provisions or lack thereof, is a shortfall with many bag manufactures. User’s end up stuffing their charger, cables and adapters into secondary bags which all end up at the bottom, resulting in disorganized clutter. I visualize a removable fitted panel with separate compartments or straps that hold a basic array of typical computing items. In fact, I ended up using one of my luggage toiletry panels to help organize my computer gear in the Buzz. It holds everything vertically and eliminated the pile at the bottom.
After field-testing, I decided this bag was definitely a keeper’. However, I would prefer a tighter fit of the MacBook Pro or a matching sleeve. I would also favor a more contoured and softer crossover strap with an exterior I.D. card and pen/pencil slot. Since I’m dreaming here, how about a less abrasive backside for improved comfort.
    Conclusion:
The Buzz sling bag is a well-made, lightweight, ergonomic alternative to a backpack or the horizontal briefcase design. It holds most everything one might need for mobile computing while providing an excellent provision for Apple’s new iPhone.
    Regards,
    ~DD

  • Macbook Pro Case Very Flimsey

Recently I have noticed mysterious deformities to my macbook pro case. I have a 15" and in the 4 months that I have had it I have never dropped it but dents are started to appear in different places around the case. I always carry it in a case to protect it and I am very careful around so I have no idea what could be causing these dents and it is very frustrating. I was wondering if apple would be able to fix it or if they would be willing to exchange the computer because maybe its my particular case. Alright thanks for any help if you can provide it.

    Hey LongPole,
Are you using a laptop bag? One that has it's own padded compartment? That is really what you need. I wouldn't just put it in with books. Either buy a sleeve or a bag with a compartment.

  • Lenovo Flex 2 14: How to remove the compartment cover?

I've got the new Lenovo Flex 2 14 with a 500 gb HHD. Now I want to upgrade to a ssd.
The problem is that the hardware maintenance manual does not specify how to remove the compartment cover in case of the flex 2 14, which has no optical drive like the flex 2 15.
I removed the screws that secure the compartment cover, but there is no way to remove the cover. Does anyone had the same problem and found a solution?
I'd be very grateful for any tips!

    hi gi_homer,
    Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.
Your issue might be similar to this thread.
In addition to the screws around the compartment cover, have you also removed the screws underneath the keyboard?

  • OWB R2 compartibility with Oracle 9i R2 RDBMS

We are using a 9i R2 database and want to run OWB 10g, we have heard that OWB R2 has compartibility issues (reduced functionality) having a 9i R2 repository. Is this the case if so What OWB functionality is unavailable in the above scenario. What is your recommendation.

It depends on what you plan to do. If you are just reading data from 9 as a source and building a data warehouse in a 10.2 database, then that might be okay. If you plan to use 9 completely then you will be limited to the database functionality available in 9. OWB writes PL/SQL code and is limited to the functionality available in the databse when writing the code.
I use 10.2 R2 database and OWB and still have arguements with Oracle support about not being on the latest patch set. It wont be easy getting support on OWB in that scenario.
