Compatability between winzip ands zip manager?

I hace new E70 fantastic phone, but does winzip on PC work with the supplied zip manager or is there a desktop application I can use to zip files in my PC then copy them to the handheld device? Am having a corrupt error message in hand held whentrying to open a winzip file in phone.
Also should the sheet application in the handheld device work with excell 2000 on pc as I can only get it to open in documents?
Apart from that can't edit my contract wap access points yet, do i need to unlock device, and where do i get this from?

I'd like to suggest you try again, but you may need to pull it down
without using the Download Manager.
I tend to just go to Sun's A-Z index of downloads,
http://www.sun.com/download/index.jsp?tab=2
I pick my product-du-jour, and pull it from the server after logging in.
... but I'm in North America, pulling it from Sun in North America,
and I happen to have a fast cable modem connection (max 6Mbit/sec).
Anyhow, I just finished downloading the XVR-500 file in my straight-forward manner.
It unzipped just fine in my WinXP system, using an old version 6.3 of Winzip.
*** with the exception of that "install" script file ! ***
(I ignored all of the other file-overwrite messages that appeared.)
I ended up fooling the extraction process of that individual file, too.
I let everything else unzip to wherever it needed to go,
then went back for just that one solitary script file.
I extracted it to the root of the working partition in that WinBox of mine.
Then I moved the file into where it should have gone.
I can only guess that the extremely long pathnames in that zipfile may have
given MS Windows some fits as it extracted a file named `install`
into a directory that was also named `install`.
However, that's only a guess.
Windows does have problems with very long path names.
It's occurred to me that you can consider yet another alternative:
Copy your zipfile to a folder in Solaris. Unzip it there.
See the Solaris manpage for unzip, if necessary.
Install the software from there, not from optical media.
The install script doesn't care where it might be, CD or HDD.
You can always use the cdrw command line utility
to burn the folder contents to media, after the fact.

I have a web site built by Yahoo Web Site Builder which does not have a Mac version, is there any compatability between Iweb and the old Yahoo program? If not how do I clear off the old site so as to re publish with Iweb.

iWeb cannot import published files so you would need rebuild the site.
Yahoo hosting is notoriously poor and their tech support is awful. I would suggest you look for new hosting and start afresh. Some pointers for choosing hosting...

  • Difference between Workflow and Alert management

    HI all
Let me know the difference between workflow and alert management. ?
In Workflow if we  want to trigger alert or mail.
We can use SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 FM send mail.
But in alert we can use different method?
Can i know wht the exact difference between two?

    Hi,
email messages can be sent with both technologies...
If you need to send just a simple email, use the ALM.
If you need to send email and wait something adding additional flows....use the Worflow.
Remember that with ALM is not possible to attach something to the email.
You can add additional steps like web addresses in order to perform further activities.

  • Compatability between LaCie and other drives

    Greetings Kind MacAddicts!
I have a 160GB LaCie (Triple Threat?) FW800 external drive and have had no problems. Now I want to expand and daisychain another external drive. Thinking of a Maxtor with FW800 (more bang for the buck) and wondering if there are any known compatability issues between LaCie and Maxtor, or btw Maxtor and the new Intel processors. Suggestions?

Well that drive inside the LaCie casing could very well be a Maxtor drive too :P
Remember LaCie don't actually make Hard Drives, they just put drives from other manufacturers in their external casings and charge a premium.
Yes, some of their designs look nice

  • Relation between ContentService and Rights Management

    Hi all,
I need know if have some relation between Content Service and Rights Management.
All files stored on my Content Service are PDF with a policy applied.
So, I need a list of files (store on Content Service) that a user has permission to access it.
If a web service do this for me its great!
    Thanks!
    Rodrigo

    Hey Rodrigo,
I don't think that's as easy as one webservice call. At least I haven't seen this sort of functionality within LiveCycle.
What you could do is build your own webservice; first list all the contents from ContentServices:
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/enterpriseplatform/10.0/programLC/help/index.htm?content=00136 3.html
and then Inspect those PDF documents:

    hope it helps.

  • N86 and Zip manager

    Hoping someone can help here.
trying to figure out how to use zip manager.
I have created a new archive on my mass memory.
can add a few mp4 files to it then get message drive full, yet app manager shows over 7 gig still free.
    Anyone got any ideas.
p.s. archive is definitely created in mass drive.

What happened to Zip Manager!! This is really upsetting. Yes, i have Y-browser and can use it's zip capabilities but not having the native app makes downloading and installing stuff with the browser is no longer possible. EURICA! That is the reason it is no longer available. They've put in OVIstore to force us to use it for getting our software. A snotty little trick, i'd say. Too bad OVIstore is a lousey way to find, learn about, and browse apps.
I really like my 5800, and believe it is better than the competition but on the software side Nokia is constantly making things worse. If this continues i will be moving to Android or Blackberry sooner than later.
My advice: Nokia stick to making hardware, leave the software open to be developped by those who can and care.

  • Compatibility between Yosemite and Photoshop / Bridge CS5.

I am concerned about the possibility of incompatibility between Yosemite and Photoshop / Bridge CS5 so have delayed updating my Mac. Has anyone updated, experienced problems and found solutions? What does  Adobe have to say in this regard?

I'm not sure I know enough to answer the question.
The images are on my G5 on a second internal hard drive (not the boot drive).
They are in a folder with a lot of images from the same shoot.
That folder shows up in the Library in Aperture, also. I think I imported them. But, as best I can tell, they do not "only exist in Aperture" because I can see them, and their .xmp files in the original file on the second internal hard drive.
Thank you so much for trying to help.

  • Doubt between RMAN and User Managed Backup

    Friends,
    OS: RHEL AS 3.0
    DB: 9iR2
Currently we are taking user managed backup.
    rman is in testing(learning) process.
Is it possible to take rman backup and user managed backup of a database one after another?
what i mean is.....suppose, if we configure rman for auto backup at 9pm daily. can i take user managed backup before 8pm or after 10pm?
Am i have to take any precaution's?
suppose, rman is failed can i restore the db with user managed backup?
    thanks

Yes, it is possible to perform both user managed backups and RMAN backups.
It is a waste of resources, but it is possible.
You would need to make sure both backups do not overlap each other.
Whether you can restore your database with user managed backup depends completely on the quality of the user managed backup, and whether you have proper (and tested) restore procedures in place.

  • Issue with VPN compatibility between 2811 and 2911

         hello
I would like to ask anyone have had any issues with setting up a VPN tunnel between 2811 and 2911?
The IPSec VPN is established but for some reason I cannot ping the LAN side to the other LAN side of the other end of the VPN Router?
Any experience would be much appreciated
    Thanks

IPSec VPN can be with no problem set up between any cisco routers (and not nesesserely cisco),  so there are should be no issues in your case.
If you say that tunnel is established successfully, then problem most probably related to routing issues between sites or incorrect crypto-acl configured. Check if hosts on both sites have correct routing information on how to get to subnets on the other site.
To make more accurate assumptions it would help if you provide config on both sites and describe your topology.

  • USB Flash Drive Compatibility between Mac and PC?

    Hi,
I own an iMac 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 1 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM and just got a new job where I'm using a PC. At work they all use flash drives to transfer data back and forth to computers etc. Would a flash drive (let's say a Kensington since that's the brand I've seen the most at work) that works in a PC at work be compatible with my iMac at home. I know Kensington makes them compatible for Mac and PC but just wondering how the data would transfer onto my Mac. Is it readable, does it depend what I'm transferring over?
    Message was edited by: spiralgirl

    {quote} guy there said they haven't yet perfected the flash drives to switch between Mac and PC and work well so I was a little surprised at this. {quote}
That is pretty much a standard reply you get from someone that doesn't know anything about macs. I've used those things for years without any problems, but I have been using my ipod as a disk lately because I always have it with me. It's also another less thing I have to buy and carry around.

  • Compatibility between CF7 and CF10

    Hi
We currently have two load-balanced servers running CF7 Enterprise Edition.  The applications use the Client Variable store, so that we can move users between servers as necessary (should one become busy / unavailable).
We now want to add a third server into the cluster.  This will have to be CF10 Enterprise Edition.
Does anyone know if the Client Variable store operates in the same way, or am I likely to have problems if I try and add this to the cluster?  Also, can anyone point me in the direction of looking at which CF tags (or tag attributes) have been deprecated between 7 and 10?
    Thanks
    Karl

I don't think you will find a list of differences between CF 7 and CF 10 from Adobe.  Maybe someone out there has compiled a list????  More likely you will need to read the release notes from each version and determine that way.

  • Compatibility between CS3 and earlier versions?

As the web developer I have Contribute version 3, but some of
    my new clients
will be buying the latest Contribute CS3 to update their site
    pages. Can I
still set up their roles and editing rights for a site and
    create a

    Contribute CS3
without difficulty? And can either of us still edit the site
    pages,
regardless of the fact that we are each using different
    versions of
    Contribute?
In conclusion, are there any backward compatibility issues I
    should be aware
of between the newer version and older versions of CS3 when
    administering,
and connecting to, the same website?
    Thanks in advance.

  • File compatibility between cs3 and cs5

    Hi,
What are the compatilibity issues between Photoshop CS3 and CS5?  Can they be used together without much (if any) issues?
    Thanks.

They can happily coexist on the same system, as long as you've got the disk space.  Photoshop has always been like that.
You'll only be able to run one at a time, at any given instant, though.
Regarding file compatibility, I don't how much it's required to open a file in Photoshop CS3, but the newer version does offer a "Maximize Compatibility" preference setting for saving .psd files.  On occasion I've opened .psd files in Photoshop CS3 saved by CS5 (using the aforementioned setting) and I haven't seen any issues at all.
