Compatibilidad de Acrobat Reader XI con Adobe Standard X

¿Es posible tener en el mismo ordenador instalados Acrobat Reader XI y Adobe StandardX, sin que haya ningún problema?

  • Is Acrobat Reader supported by Adobe on App-V?

We are planning a desktop upgrade to Windows 8.1 with apps running on App-V, Is Acrobat Reader supported by Adobe on App-V?

    Hi Ralph,
I can understand your concern & will guide you in the right direction.
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC do not immediately support App-V with this base release. Support is expected in the coming months. However if its an older version of Adobe Reader, it will be working fine.
In case if you have any further query please let us know, we will be happy to help you.

  • Acrobat Reader DC and Adobe Acrobat XI

My PC automagically updated my Acrobat reader to the new piece of junk they call "Acrobat Reader DC"
    It is absolutely useless!
It will not allow to keep the "tools" panel out of view - I have to get rid of it every time a view a document.
It does not allow me to use the installed features of the Adobe Acrobat XI I have installed.
It constantly asks my to sign up to the cloud to do anything Which I do NOT want at all PERIOD.
Then it took me over three hours to find a copy of the original Acrobat Reader 11 with updates to the version previous to this POS.
Is Adobe trying to get rid of customers and go out of business?

    Hi Richard,
There are few workarounds here: how to get rid of the right side panel in adobe reader (Acrobat Reader)
    to disable the tools pane.
Regarding prompt for cloud storage if you click on the 'x' button then it will not prompt again.
You can also turn off the following from the preferences:
    Edit> Preferences> General>
    Uncheck the following:
Show online storage when saving the files
Show online storage when opening the files
Show me messages when I launch Acrobat DC

  • Attempt to Access Invalid Address - Adobe Acrobat Reader XI or Adobe Acrobat Pro XI

    My spec's:
    - OS: Win 7 Ultimate SP 1 64 bit
    - currently have Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro v 9.0.0 (works fine) - (AA9P)
    - Profile I am installing is an Administrator account
    - All A/V is turned off to include MS Security Essentials real time protection
    - MS EMET is turned off
I have tried upgrading to Adobe Acrobat Reader XI (AARXI) or the trial version of Adobe Acrobat Pro XI (AAPXI), and keep getting the same debug message "attempt to Acess Invalid Address"
I have UNINSTALLED AA9P, and THEN rebooted. I then tried to install AAPXI = same debug message. No errors were present during the installation and I also verified the MD5 checksum on the download, so that I getting a complete install package
I then UNINSTALLED AAP XI, then rebooted.
I INSTALLED AAPRXI, and received no errors during installation. Again, all installs are ocurring under a ADMINISTRATOR account with all security software disabled. Tried opening AAPRXI and get the same debug message.
My OS has every available patch installed for both Microsoft and Third Party.
Any suggestions on how to correct this installation?

Still no solution to this problem. I went ahead and purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro XI thinking I could always get refunded but maybe it was the trial version?
I have since taken a number of steps to verify my computer was clean before I installed AAPXI
-- remotely ran sweeps across my computer using Retina and Tenable Nessus = clean and all available/critical patches installed
    -- running Win7 Ultimate SP1
-- running latest versions of all third party software (Java, Flash, etc.)
-- Ran Sysinternal procmon to see if what was going on (will upload to adobe...tons of "NAME NOT FOUND")
---- in procmon, I filtered out most of the noise...just need an assist from Adobe Tech
-- I used the tool above that Claudio Gonazlez identified and removed everything, even my entire Adobe CS4 installation =(
    -- Rebooted
-- Double checked that all security software is disabled
** installed AAPXI with NO installation errors
-- tried opening AAPXI but get the same error " C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe    Attempt to access invalid address"
Any help from the community or Adobe? Been trying off an on for two weeks to fix this. Thanks

  • Installing Adobe Acrobat Reader X into Adobe Elements 6.0

I am using Adobe Elements 6.0 which comes with Adobe Reader 6.0.  In the past per a TechNote (331114), I was able to update the Adobe Reader from the 6.0 to the latest version I am currently using (9.0) by putting the file into the folder: "Program Files/Adobe/Acrobat 6.0" as the TechNote recommended.
Now I want to update to the Adobe Reader X (10.1.1) but that download will not allow me to direct the installation into the "Program Files/Adobe/Acrobat 6.0" folder. It only does an automatic install and does not let me choose where to put the files (no menu pops up to let me direct the installation to a different folder).
How do I make it install to the "Program Files/Adobe/Acrobat 6.0"?  Or, dan't I dod that with the Adobe Reader X?
    Thanks.

I came upon this post after receiving this error message when trying to install Acrobat 9. In my case, we deploy Acrobat from an Administrative Installation Point (AIP) using Group Policy. I believe the user at this computer pulled the plug while the group policy deployment was taking place. I got the error when trying to install the program manually afterwards.
I was able to rectify the issue by running msiexec.exe against the MSI in the AIP with the /x switch, performing an uninstall:
    msiexec /x \\server\deploy\AcrobatStandard9\acrostan.msi
(The program was not showing up in Add/Remove programs, otherwise I would have tried uninstalling from there.) After that, the install proceeded successfully.
    Hope this helps someone.

  • How to uninstall Adobe Acrobat Reader 8 completely?

How to uninstall Adobe Acrobat Reader 8 and Adobe Download Manager completely?
I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 3 and I don't want to uninstall that.

    Hi
Most Mac applications come in self-contained packages (ctrl-click, or right-click, & you will see Show Package Contents), they can just be dragged to the trash.
Some applications have their own uninstaller which must be run.
With Adobe Reader 8, I believe the icon in Applications is a folder so just drag it to the trash & empty the trash. I believe Download Manager (Applications/Utilities) should be the same. Someone may know different.
There is also AppZapper or AppDelete. These work by you dragging & dropping the application you wish to delete onto its icon, AppZapper/AppDelete then pulls all parts of that application together then moves it to the trash.

  • How can I uninstall adobe acrobat reader 10?

I just installed this program because I thought it was better than Preview! But it's ugly and slow and it takes more than 500MB of space! How can I remove it completely? I can't find the uninstaller! F@#k Adobe!

    Hi John,
I used File Buddy to search for "reader" on my main drive. This is everything it returned that relates to the Acrobat Reader X:
    /Applications/Adobe Reader.app
    /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Help/en_US/Adobe Reader
    /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Acrobat/com.adobe.Reader
    /Users/retoucher/Library/Caches/com.adobe.Reader
    /Users/retoucher/Library/Caches/com.adobe.Reader.ARM
    /Users/retoucher/Library/Application Support/Expression Media/Plug-ins/Helper Applications/Adobe Reader
    /Users/retoucher/Library/Receipts/com.adobe.Reader
    /Users/retoucher/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.Reader_x86_9.0.plist
    /Users/retoucher/Library/Logs/Adobe/Adobe Reader Updater.log
    /Users/retoucher/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.Reader.plist
    /private/var/root/Library (from old Mac)/Receipts/com.adobe.Reader
The only one that isn't readily accessible is the .plist file in the /private/var/... folder. But it's only 29Kb.
For the most part, Mac apps don't spread themselves as pervasively as they do in Windows. Larger apps like Photoshop (or the Adobe suites), Final Cut Studio, Quark, etc., tend to drop more stuff around the drive in the System or main Library folders. But for smaller apps, they tend to be the main app, a few things in the Application Support folders, and a preference file (or a few of them).

  • Acrobat Reader X crashes

    Hello,
I have encountered the following problem and would appreciate any help:
We recently deployed about 50 pcs to one of our customers. Acrobat Reader X 10.1.3 was preinstalled on the machines, and worked just fine on all clients but one.
On this Machine, Acrobat Reader X freezes upon closing and upon opening certain pdf files. It can then only be closed by terminating the process.
The problem only exists with this user account, it could not be recreated while using an administrative account.
So far, I uninstalled version 10.1.3, and installed 10.1.4 - the problem persisted.
I then removed Acrobat Reader with the Adobe Cleanup Utility and installed 10.1.4 - the problem persisted.
Windows Event Logs only states the standard hungapp event - is there a logfile specifically for the acrobat reader software somewhere ?
The pc is only a few months old, running windows xp with sp3.
Any help would be appreciated, as I could only install an alternative pdf reader software to help for now and I would like to stick to the company's standard software.
    Greetings,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,
Can you please let me know the following details:
    1. Does Adobe Reader crash if you just open the application (without opening any PDF) and just closing the same.
    2. How exactly did you install Adobe Reader 10.1.4? Was it using the installer directly from the Adobe RDC site?
    3. Can you please try and delete the entire folder C:\Program Files\Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader\plug_ins and then perform a repair from within the Control Panel. Does this solve things.
    Thanks
    Ankit
