  • Compatibility issues with CS5.5 and Maverick 10.9

I'd like to know if there are any compatibility issues with CS5.5 and Maverick 10.9 before I upgrade from 10.6.8.

To be honest, I use the CS5 Premium Creative Suite and have had to upgrade all my app's to Mavericks because I have a new iMac, the other one just died.
I used the 'Time Machine' to backup and to transfer all the files, the Mac apps almost transferred 100% but not all successfully, especially iDVD, it was probably something that I did not click in the 'Time Machine preferences'.
If I had the choice, upgrade to 'Mountain Lion, I would revert back to Mountain Lion but not got the discs, I find Mavericks very clunky and slow and causing lots of issues with my Adobe applications.
So if it is not too late, I would wait a few months before upgrading to Mavericks.
    Hope this info' has helped.

  • Compatibility issues between CS5.5 & new macs?

Hello all. Does anyone know if there are compatibility issues between Audition CS5.5 and new macs? Just got a 2013 MacBook Pro (OS X 10.9) and haven't been able to install my copy of CS5..5, which I've been using on an older mac for years. I've tried both the original installation disc and a download.
    Thanks!

Depends entirely on the application. You should probably visit the
    individual product forums for details.
I will tell you this. For InDesign you're not going to be happy at all.

  • Any compatibility issues using MacBook with client's A/V setups geared towards PCs?

I travel giving PowerPoint seminars to US companies. I bring my PC laptop and plug into their projector.  I'm considering switching from my 12" ThinkPad to the MacBook Air 13".  In that every one of my clients for the past 13 years have used PC machines will I encounter any compatibility problems with clients' PC A/V setups?

Ok, I solved the problem. Thanks to those who at least thought about replying.
For those having the same issue: I found the problem lies in the "hot plug detect" feature of dvi. What I did I just cut the hot plug pin (see wikipedia:dvi) off the dvi adaptor, isn't it clever? Hah, I wouldn't call it "plug 'n play", but at least it works. Then I connect the dvi to the g2400w and set the monitor "hdmi in", then detect displays from display settings, it'll detect it, and then simply i set the monitor to dvi in.

  • Compatibility Issues Using Internet Explorer 9

I recently installed Internet Explorer 9 to my laptop, but I'm having issues accessing the Adobe Creative Cloud portal https://creative.adobe.com/?trackingid=KBHLP#team/admin/D927FB3D53B47646822A using this browser. As far as I was aware this version is compatible, but it is persistently coming back to me with 'Your Browser Is No Longer Supported' message. Has anyone else experienced any issues when attempting to login to the portal through IE9?

IE 9 is obsolete. Even Microsoft have already EOL'd (end of life) it. If you only installed it recently, you must be on some crappy old XP computer, anyway, which is utterly pointless for Creative Cloud in the first place. I would strongly recommend to read the system requirements...

  • Are there compatability issues using Photoshop Elements 7.0 on a 64bit operating system?

I have a 64 operating system on my laptop and cannot get my photoshop elements 7.0 to work on it at all! I have a photography assignment to hand in next week and have no photoshop program to complete it on! Anyone help?

You should check the Microsoft Compatibility Centre for software that will run in a 64 bit operating system.

    Hello:
Thank you for the update for remote access for desktops.
Personally, I do not want to give remote access to anyone but myself as privacy is my friend.  Can this remote desktop software still be for me personally unless I allow access and for my MAC lap top only?  What if I do not update? I do use this lap top in other countries.  compatibility issues with what?

Apple Remote Desktop is off be default. It has to be enabled for some one to be able to remotely connect to the computer. And then, you still have to have a user name and password on the computer to remotely connect with.
If you want to see if remote access has is enabled for Apple Remote Desktop; you can find the setting in, Apple Menu, System Prefrences, Sharing. If it's enabled, Remote Management or Screen Sharing will be checked.
Beucase Apple Remote Desktop Agent is part of the Mac Operating System; even if your not using it, Apple Software Updates will from time to time offer updates for ARD Agent. Software Updates can some times be stacked ontop of each other; so chosing not to install an update, can mean other updates you may want may not be offered. At least until you install the updates those updates require. Also software updates can improve the security of your computer.

This is a typical response from the manufacturer. Did you try the fix that Lawrence mentioned. When Apple or any other phone manufacturer update phone software, they have the latest Bluetooth installed. It is usually the problem with the radio manufacturer that they devices are using the older Bluetooth protocols. You can try this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3581 and see if anything there helps, but generally it requires the radio manufacturer to update their firmware.

  • Adobe Flash IDE: Migration/Compatibility issues between Adobe Flash Professional CS3 and CS5

    Hi,
Adobe Flash IDE: Adobe Flash CS3 Professional and Adobe Flash Professional CS5
I am facing some  migration/compatibility issues between Adobe Flash CS3 Professional and Adobe  Flash Professional CS5:
I am working on a project that has  been completely developed in CS3 earlier. When I am using CS5 (Flash Player 9 /  Flash Player 10) to compile the FLA files, it is creating some new issues like  some customized radio buttons are getting disappeared while viewing the SWF on a  web page etc.
So, I would like to  know:
    1) Is there any  migration/compatibility issue between Adobe Flash CS3 Professional and Adobe  Flash Professional CS5?
    2) If yes: Is there any patch  available from Adobe for it?
    3) If no: What could be the causes  and the best possible solutions for it?
Any help and support would be highly  appreciated. Many thanks in advance!
    Thanks & Regards
    Amit

  • Compatibility issues with mac OS - Lightroom 4 works where CS5 won't

Hope someone can shed some light on this issue...
I tried installing Lightroom 4 on Mac OS 10.6.1 (which is currently running CS5 without issues) but the specs call for OS 10.6.8 or later (10.7). When I updated my OS to 10.6.8, none of my CS5 apps work! They encounter launch errors - InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver... only Photoshop seems to work. So, I reverted back to OS 10.6.1 and all the programs function. Is Adobe working on a solution to fix this issue? I see with the forums that several other users have noted the same issue with CS5 not working in the OS 10.6.8 environment. I don't want to upgrade my OS just to have Lightroom function, but none the CS apps. I was thinking of partitioning my HD to load both OS, but that shouldn't be the workaround. I am very disappointed that I've purchased Lightroom 4 and now am unable to use it due to compatibility issues with the OS with the rest of CS5.0.

Pixelzboy are you receiving any specific errors when launching your applications under 10.6.8?  CS5 should work just fine with 10.6.8 as well as 10.7.3.  You may also want to post to the product specific forums with your launch errors as the users in those forums will be more familiar with troubleshooting steps specific to those products.

  • Compatibility issues CS5 to CC 2014

    Hi,
We just installed Adobe's CC 2014 versions at school but I haven't installed any yet on my home computer. I asked my students to save a copy in CS5 version so I could look at their files home. There have been some major compatibility issues regarding opening students CC 2014 files in CS5: all layers have been merged to only one, guides are no longer present and many shapes of student's illustrations are inside masks?
I've tried saving one copy of CC 2014 file in CS5 at school. It work okay in CS5 but if I open it up again in CC-2014, the same problem occur: may things disappear like guides and layers.
Is there any workaround for this, like maybe saving a copy in EPS instead? I know it's an older format but it use to OK to open older versions of Illustrator's files.

    Thank you for answering.
Yes I understand that I will have to upgrade. Indeed, I also understand that ''special procedures'' or ''effects'' only present in a more recent version will not show correctly in a less recent version like CS5. But, what I don't understand is that even simple shapes made out in CC2014 on various layers also with guides present in the document do not appear correctly after when open in CS5? I've also tried it the other way around: creating a basic document with simple shapes on various layers with guides in CS5 (we still have it at school) an reopen it after in CC2014 and everything seem's to be flatten out? I have many documents made out thought the years in previous version of Illustrator and it has never been a problem to open it in a more recent version. Why does CC2014 makes it no longer possible to do so?
Is there any documentation on the subject that I can refer to on the subject?
Thanking you in advance for answering,

  • Canon pixma mx922 compatibility issues with Mavericks?

Thinking of getting canon pixma mx922. Any body had compatibility issues with Mavericks?

Go to http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3669 for a list of printers that are still supported.
If you don't see the printer, check Printer software no longer available through Software Update.

  • Intel Mac?  End of Windows-Apple compatability issues?

So, i'm a noob in the world of macs. when apple comes out w/ intel based notebooks and computers, will this mean you will be able to run pc only programs on the new intel macs? educate me, i've tried to research my question, and pretty much came up w/ no straight forward answer.
    -Ian

thanks for the responses. if you have anything else to add, please do so.
the main reason i bring this up, in which you can see in my other thread i posted, i'm looking to buy an apple laptop. but as a student majoring in electrical engineering, there are compatability issues. nonetheless, i'm pretty much set on buying an apple laptop, despite the issues. i will be doing what ifelix has stated, and use vpc to run any programs that i need to. and if worse comes to worse, i still have a desktop pc running windows, so i can just use that if vpc isn't working out for me.
seeing as to how i'm already writing in this post, i'm going to ask some questions:
i plan on buying a powerbook- faster, etc. but if i chose to buy an ibook, will that be able to run vpc as well as the powerbook? would i need to just throw in some more memory to get it up to par w/ the powerbook? b/c i love the design of the powerbook (a couple of my friends have one) but the ibook is like a couple hundreds of dollars cheaper.
throw in some knowledge if you can.
    thanks again

  • Are there compatibility issues with OSX Mavericks?

I am currently running OSX Lion on my iMac and using Photoshop CC. If I upgrade to OSX Mavericks (OSX 9) are there any compatibility issues?

MacOS 10.9 has a lot of bugs, but the biggest ones seem to have been fixed by 10.9.4.
The problems we see remaining mostly center around drivers, especially Epson printer drivers.

I have an older apple keyboard, either a M2452 or a M7803.  Do these have compatibility issues with 2012 Mac Minis?

I understand that you can connect any keyboard to a Mac Mini, my concern is that the modern Apple keyboards I have seen seem to have a layout much more similar to their PC counterparts. ie, they no longer have the "apple" key, etc.
Will I be missing functionality (using this older Apple keyboard)?
