Has anyone found a solution to the problems Adobe Connect has with Windows 7?

Sounds like something is blocking network traffic. I'm not aware of any Windows 7 specific issues. I've used Windows 7 with connect for 2 years with no Windows specific issues.
I'd call support at 800-945-9120 and see if they can indentify the issue and give you a resolution.

Adobe connect, see with password

dear, I have adobe connect 8. I have lots of meetings link on web site. But I dont want the people who I dont know or ı dont have their info like e-mail open these link without share contact info (e-mail, name, like this). İs it possible this idea?

exp : I have meeting 05.05.2013
and I have some customers database I send mail with adobe meeting links to customer and they enter meetings by guest but we know these people.
But we need info about people who attend meeting at 08,05,2013. This people find my meeting link and s/he can enter meeting as guest without any info.
I want to know who enter my meeting. If I can take personal info like e-mail , firm name I can put this info to my data base but no matter time.

Adobe connect - bug with powerpoint and the apostrophe

Hi folks,
when i'm using Adobe Connect for web presentations and upload
a Powerpoint file, there seems to be a bug where adobe connect
displays extra spacing after an apostrophe is used. For example
when my .ppt has "country's" but when it's loaded into adobe
connect and shared, it displays, "country' s"
i'm using XP and Powerpoint 2003.

From what I remember, TinyMCE does not work with ADDT form validation. So you can integrate TinyMCE, but you will have this issue if you make the text area a required field with ADDT's form validation.
For a workaround, you can use a custom trigger to check that something was entered into the text area and throw an error in the trigger if nothing has been entered. This won't do the client side check, but it will do a server side check.

Compatibility of Adobe Reader XI with Windows 8, 64 bit version appears to be a problem. Ideas?

Whenever, I load Adobe XI (which seems to be the only version compatible with Windows 8, I get a "No default mail client" error. has anyone found a solution? Is Adobe working on a fix?
(I use a Dell Lattitude E6530 notebook with Windows 8 and Microsoft Office 2013 64 bit version installed).

Regarding your problem, you need to send some more information like the machine RAM usage and CPU usage when Reader 11 freezes. A screenshot would help.

I would like to download and use Adobe Reader XI so that i could insert signatures into pdf documents. However, I noted that the requirements of Adobe Reader XI for mac computers with OSX 10.8.5, specifies Safari as the browser. Can I use Firefox or Google Chrome rather than Safari?

Can't get Adobe Connect to track scores

OK - I'm about at my wit's end. I am running Cp 8.0.145 (I know, .245 is current, but my IT guys need to vet it before I get it) on a Win7 desktop and trying to publish a .zip file to an Adobe Connect system functioning as an LMS. I do not have full admin rights to the Connect instance. I have tried publishing the Captivate projects using the "Adobe Connect" setting (with and without "Publish Adobe Connect metadata" box selected), as an AICC compliant zip file, and as a SCORM 2004 v4 package, and as a SCORM 2004 v4 package in a wrapper provided by Adobe. In each and every case, the system does not register any value for the test questions included (shows a test value of 0/0) and will not register completion of the course on passing the test.
Is this an issue with my settings in Captivate when I publish, or something I need to address with the LMS admin for Connect?

I don't think Connect does SCORM, so take that out of the mix.
It might do AICC, so that may be worth trying.
But overall, of course, you want to use the Adobe Connect setting...and I'm certain you want to include the Connect metadata.
If it's not reporting then you should ask the Connect Admin to look at logs/reports and see if he can find any reason why. Setup a time to test and run through the piece, so he knows what date/time to look for...
Hopefully he has access to Connect logs that will show whatever the errors may be.

I use a hosted Adobe Connect 9 with no Customization and Rebranding option. So, I cannot change color of meeting rooms etc. Do you have any idea how to change bad white/white and white/green highlight color of Q&A pad?

Well, I was able to answer my own question. You have to go into "Flattener Preview" and change "Color Space" from the default "none" to something else, in my case, "Device RGB". Also, make sure to set page range.

What's the best way to capture speech as text in live or recorded Adobe Connection sessions?
We would like to have a transcript of the presentation. Is Adobe Connect compatible with Dragon speech recognition software - or is there a preferred Adobe product or method?

The class java.util.Date is not itself deprecated, however several of its methods are.
For converting string -> date, you should use the class java.text.SimpleDateFormat. That allows you to specify format strings such as MM-dd-yyyy hh:mm:ss for converting date -> string -> date.
If you are wanting to set day/month/year on the date object directly, instead of the Date methods setDay, setMonth, setYear, you should instead use the java.util.Calender class:
calendar.set(Calendar.MONTH, 4);
The calendar can then be converted to a Date object by calling calendar.getTime().
If you are going to use the date as part of a sql query, I would recommend using a Prepared statement, and the java.sql.Date/java.sql.Timestamp class as well.
To convert from java.util.Date to java.sql.Date)
jva.util.Date utilDate = Calendar.getInstance().getTime();

I have created one SCORM 1. 2 package as per ADL Standards. This package has mulitple sco's.I want to know will this package run in Adobe connect pro with out any changes.

Adobe Connect is not SCORM compliant. Adobe Connect uses AICC. If you are interested in using SCORM content see this posting as a way to do that:

The AICC standard uses an HTTP-POST for communicating data between content and an LMS. The SCORM standard uses Javascript to communicate much of the same data.
Note: Adobe Connect Pro follows the AICC standard for its communication mechanism

our company would like to intrgrate Adobe Connect Pro with e-learning solution using Adobe Connect Web Services API.

Here are our questions:
Q1: If we buy license for Adobe Connect Pro eg: 5 hosts 100 users, can we already use Adobe Connect Web Services API? Or do we need to host Adobe Connect Server ourselves to use it? It seems logical, that its possible in both cases hosted and SAS (software as service from adobe). But we need to be sure.
Q2: 1 host is 1 person than can manage 1 conference at a time. Is this 1 host bound to 1 adobe id account?
Q3: we want to be able to have up to 20 simultaneous conferences in each 20 participants. Analog to 20 classrooms 20 students each. What kind of license must we buy?
I called adobe support, no clear answer, called resellers, the same, Hope hiere someone will know.

Muse itself publishes all the html pages to the same folder and hence assumes that there is no multi-level folder structure for html pages. Please note that Muse uses document-relative referencing in menus i.e. href="index.html" and not root-relative referncing i.e. href="/index.html". Now if you add some third party content/link that leads to a page/content inside a directory or URL referring to a subdirectory, then a menu link referring to "index.html" would actually be referring to an index.html page in the current subdirectory and hence breaking the original intended reference.
To get around this, a simple workaround is to use the Manual mode of menu creation and explicitly specify /index.html or /about.html, etc for the menu item hyperlinks. This would help you create a menu with links using root-relative referencing that will not break even when you go deeper into subdirectories.

1. No there is no bandwidth limit.
2. I don't believe there is a method of increasing the concurrent user limit through the monthly plan.
3. No, just the $55/month.
4. Not sure if there is a method to integrated the monthly plan with Moodle.
5. No, you can have two hosts running rooms that can hold up to 25 people each, so the 50 individuals would be an aggregate number between the two rooms. Also, keep in mind that the Host counts as one of the 25.
6. If you intended to share your screen, you would need to install the add-in. You should only need to do it once (until a newer version is released) and you should be prompted to do so the first time you join the room as a Host.
