Compatibility of Griffin Navigator with iPhone earphones w remote and mic

Hello,
Was ready to purchase the great Griffin Navigator remote and FM receiver, but was wondering if it was compatible for phone call thru the earphones using the earphone mic????
Did some of you experiment it?
However, I am looking fo a remote and FM receiver that will allow using the earphones mic for calls.
Thank you in advance

I highly doubt that, those headphones were created for the new shuffles.
but you can probably use them for an iphone or your cell phone with an adapter unless the jack fits.

    Hi
Has anyone heard of a firmware update that would allow people who own 80GB iPod classics to use the Earphones with Remote and Mic? I have one that I bought last year, and would like to give the new earphones a try.

My Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic White For iPhone says: made in vietnam right in the cord. i want to know if they are OEM? here my email: [email protected], thanks.

Accidental damage is not covered under the warranty but if possible to reset the screen without causing additional damage, the Apple Store should do this without charging for it.

  • Using Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic on my Macbook

Is it possible to use the remote to control volume on my macbook? I know the mic works but I can't get the remote to. Is it even possible to use the remote?

I have a unibody Macbook with OSX 10.6.1 and it works with my Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic. However, whenever I plug them in to the Macbook it takes up to 10 seconds for the volume and tracking controls to start working on the earphone remote. Also, if there is music playing in iTunes, the audio drops out for about the same amount of time. The hardware buttons on the Macbook also stop functioning during this time. The same behavior occurs when unplugging the earphones.
Basically, it seems like the Macbook is extremely slow when adding / removing the earphones as an audio control device.
Has anyone else noticed anything like this? Thanks!

  • Bought iPhone 6 yesterday. Also bought dock works with iPhone 5/5s. And cord connecting iPhone 6 to USB port on car stereo. No sound comes out of dock or car stereo. In store today, iPhone 5 running ios 8 worked on dock, not iPhone 6. When Apple fix?

I bought an iPhone 6 yesterday. I also bought a stereo dock that works with iPhone 5/5s. And a cord to connect iPhone 6 to USB port on my car stereo. No sound comes out of the stereo dock or car stereo. In Best Buy today, Sales Associate tried his iPhone 5 running iOS 8 on a stereo dock. It worked, but my iPhone 6 didn't. When will Apple fix this problem? Or is Apple pushing everyone to Bluetooth?

The iPod feature that plays through USB in my car does not work with my iPhone 6 either.  I called AppleCare and they said that the car audio system will need a firmware update.  Don't know if Apple is just passing the buck, but that is what I was told.  Thank you for posting.  I know now that I am not the only one.  Thanks also for posting about the iPhone 5 running iOS 8.  I gave away my iPhone 5 to a friend so I wasn't sure whether this is an iOS 8 issue or an iPhone 6 issue and your experience seems to confirm that it is a problem with iPhone 6.  I guess I will just be using Bluetooth in my car, at least for now.

  • HT3310 Can't get remote and mic to work at all with my iPad. Anyone else having this problem?

Can't get EarPods remote and mic to work with my iPad 3. Anyone else having this problem and, if so, how did they fix it?

I am trying to get my USB headphone and mic to work with Skype but I'm not having any success. I have tried several different headphones with the same result.
What are the system requirements of your headphones & mics?  It's possible they are not compatible w/Macs and/or your current OS system.

  • Does Apple make/sell the new "Apple In-Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic" with a one sided configuration? So that a person that is deaf in one can hear both sides of a stereo recording? Also, since the "other" bud is not necessary/useful...it's removed.

As far as I know, Apple sells no such configuration.  However, under Settings > General > Accessability, there is an option to play back audio in monoural mode, which would then play both halves of a stereo mix in each earbud.
    Hope that helps.

  • How does Apple EarPods with Remote and Mic(MD827ZM/A) work with iPod 3rd Generation

I have recently bought EarPods With remote and mic (MD827ZM/A) for my old iPod shuffle (3rd generation) Software V 1.1,  capacity 2GB
but these EarPods doesn't seems like working with my iPod, any possible solution ?

You can also get an "adapter," that has compatible remote control buttons.  There are several such products, for example
    http://www.amazon.com/iLuv-iEA15wht-Adapter-Earbuds-Headphones/dp/B002RL9WE0
You can then connect the any standard headphones to the adapter, including Apple EarPods.

  • Syncing videos taken with iPhone 3GS to iPhoto and back to iPhone again!

    Sorry,
I know this has been asked and answered many times over on this forum I still don't understand why these won't sync back?
Videos taken with iPhone 3GS. They will play on iPhone. Now synced back to iMac. Videos will play on iPhoto. They will not sync back to iPhone. Yes, the option under the iPhone in iTunes (Photos>Sync Photos From [iPhoto]>All photos and albums>Include Videos is checked.
    Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for your help!

    Thanks,
I will give that a try. But why in the world did they put that option in the iPhone Sync menu in iTunes under the Photos tab if it does nothing at all??

  • Furious with IPhone Exchange 2.1 and all other previous versions of code

I have been running v2.0 software since before it's public release with exchange, as a beta tester and now v2.1 with iphone 3g as a normal corporate user. I am happy to jump through growing pains with any new product but loosing my mind when it comes to connectivity just being lost on the 3g phone being stuck checking for mail. I called support to which they tell me that I need to first reset my network settings in the phone. Did that didn't work. Next delete your exchange account and try that.... What delete my exchange account and reconfigure it on the phone. I am sorry I use the phone for business purposes and don't have time to go randomly deleting the configuration anytime it decides to puke. Which has been happening frequently.
Support tells me they are not staffed to troubleshoot any problems related to Exchange. I proceed to tell them that I have another Windows Mobile cell phone sync'ing to the same exchange account with not a single problem getting mail. Going through the same servers, allbeit different network and different phone.
Now I am a iphone supporter and believe it is far more advanced. However, if you are going after the bb market then you need to produce a product that atleast rivals the reliability because your loosing my enterprise vote.
    Please fix it.....

Tell Apple. We are iphone users like you.

  • IPhone/iPod Touch Remote and multiple AppleTVs

When you use the AppleTV remote that comes in the box, you can have each AppleTV you have play different content, such as music. Pretty basic. However, when you use AirTunes to stream music to multiple AppleTVs, there can only be one stream. My question is when you use the Remote App on the iPhone or iPod Touch, can you tell different AppleTVs to play different music? I'm assuming that the music is on the AppleTVs' hard drives.
    Thanks

You have made a fundamental mistake in your understanding of AirTunes.
AirTunes does not play the music stored on the Apple TV, it streams music from iTunes on your computer.
Your computer can stream to more than one Apple TV, BUT it can only be the same stream which it keeps in sync to all devices. It cannot stream different streams over AirTunes to different Apple TV's.
The iPhone Remote can do the following :-
Directly control the Apple TV, playing music stored on the Apple TV just as you do with the Apple TV remote.
It can also control iTunes, and therefore AirTunes to stream music to wireless devices on your network.
