Compatible BluRay software

I have Production Premium CS 5.5.
New PC came bundled with CyberLink BD Solution and the install is completely messed up. Neither my PC support nor CyberLink support (especially useless and non-responsive) can help me. Simply put, the Power DVD10 doesn't play and doesn't start. Can't find files, can't install. Have been unable to uninstall and re-install, even using "Revo Uninstaller". I now want to get rid of CyberLink entirely but am afraid to install WIN DVD from Corel for fear of some compatibility issues with Adobe Creative Suite.
1. Any ideas how to fix my CyberLink problem
2. Any issues related to WIN DVD and Adobe or is there another recommended BluRay player software program that Adobe experts/users have success with?

I ended up with Total Media Theater 5, but some users like PowerDVD. I don't recall if version 10 or if 10 had problems and they like 9...
The importance is having one that will correctly emulate a BD player.

HP MediaSmart DVD - Need to Update Bluray Software - Advice??

So has there been any update to this issue after all these months? I recently bought an HP Pavillion Slimline 5500t and when I first got the system about a month ago the Blu Ray player worked although not very well. It skipped and stuttered and had some pixelization issues with a few Bluray Discs. Seems to play non-Bluray fine. Then I got Avatar this past Friday and put the disc in the computer - played fine for about 40 mins - maybe an occasional stutter but nothing I couldn't tolerate. I made no system changes at all and last night (sunday night, two days later) when I insert the same exact bluray disc (Avatar) I get a red screen that says "Your Bluray Software needs to be updated, please contact your manufacturer."
I call tech support and after 3hrs of doing updates and other stuff I am in the exact same situation as I was before. Only now they tell me they want to do a system recovery back to the day I got the PC which will wipe out all my data and configuration settings. I told them no way. Everything is working perfectly EXCEPT the HP Media Smart DVD software. So why would I blow out my entire system and all the programs I've downloaded.
So I'm now stuck. I like others have said do not want to pay $89.95 for Cyberlink's PowerDVD after I already paid $1200 for this computer with all the upgraded goodies to be able to play BluRay. Very disappointed in HP for not fixing this issue properly. Any advice?

"But for real. I was trying to explain this issue to my girlfriend last night and she was like, "but my crappy old DVD player has never had an issue playing any DVD I put in it, so why would your $1200 computer have a problem?"
And there we are. I totally agree with her. It is complete BS. Not to mention I took the other poster's advice and downloaded Slysoft and whala...perfect picture quality, no encryption or "need to update your software" errors at all.
So this is 100% a licensing / copyright update issue and HP / Cyberlink are just behind the curve. What I can't understand is how can Netflix and others be sending out discs that don't work in people's stand alone Bluray players?? And if they do in fact work in the stand alone players then why in the hell would they NOT work in a high speed / media center spec built always online always connected computer which could download new codecs/updates every single day if it required to do so??
I don't get it. I'm gonna complain to HP today because this is 100% a licensing issue. And to think they almost had me roll back my whole **bleep** computer and delete all my files and settings. All I had to do was a 10sec download and everything works perfectly. But I don't want to pay for Slysoft...its F-ing expensive. I'm pissed."

Canon T3i download cable will no longer work after 10.10 download. Plugging the cable into the 15 inch laptop says not compatible with software. Was fine before the 10.10 upgrade.

I have a DSC-T1 Sony camera. I also have a Panasonic video camera with a built in digital camera. I just took some shots with the Panasonic. Plugged it in, and it worked perfectly. iphoto opened and did what it was supposed to do. I then tried the Sony and nothing happened again. Maybe this is a problem with the mac not recognizing certain cameras...?????

While Importing some components has missed and the Exception is unable to handle it. Is it possible for you to Import again and check the table space is sufficient.

Compatible office software for bootcamp

I have installed bootcamp and it is very successful running windows 7. I need a (preferably free) word processor/spreadsheet suite. Have looked at LibreOffice etc but can't find one that's compatible with the MacBookPro OS. Any ideas?

Are you looking for Office software for OS X or Windows? I suppose you are referring to OS X when you say "MacBook Pro OS".
LibreOffice is compatible with both Windows and OS X > http://www.libreoffice.org
Also, you have OpenOffice, but it doesn't have the same support from the community as LibreOffice.
Then, you have paid alternatives like Microsoft Office (for Windows or OS X) and Apple iWork (available in the Mac App Store)

Bluray software

Hello I have a external Bluray DVD player that i would like to use on my min 2010 iMac . Can anyone recomend Cheap/free software that works well. Ive only red Ideer gat cost $50. with upgrades. Thanks.

What kind of software do you mean? If you want to burn only data disks, OS X's built in Burn utility can do that. If you need to create Blu-ray movie disks, that will require third party software. There aren't many choices in that category. None of them are free, and none are all that cheap.
Toast Titanium 11 is what I currently use. 12 is the latest version. You can purchase version 11 from Amazon for only $30. Version 12 is averaging $85 and doesn't do anything all that different or better than version 11, so you may as well get the cheaper version.
In order to burn Blu-ray movie disks, you must also purchase the Blu-ray plugin. It's another $20. Install Toast Titanium, then the plugin.
Toast allows some variations of user choices for the authoring (how the disk looks when put in a set-top player), but it's kind of limited. However, that's to be expected at that price. Professional video creation and disk authoring apps cost much more.
