Working at a Quad right now, which is soon to be replaced. It's served me well for 4 or 5 years now, but CS5 is forcing me to go to a MacPro. Would have never gotten this much life/productivity out of a PC though.

I would like to upgrade my current wireless router to an one that supports IPv6 and 802.11n. I want to do 6in4 tunnels for IPv6 to Hurricane Electric for my tunnel service and I have computers that have 802.11n. Currently I have the Actiontec (Verizon) MI424-WR wireless router with 10/100 ports. Can I get this through Verizon? I know I can go buy a Wireless router that can provide this on the outside, but want to ensure that this doesn't mess up my tv services. I have the three services currently on FIOS. TV, Internet and phone. So the router controls the TV settop boxes also.

Well Verzion them selve has no plans to switch customers over to ipv6 capable routers right away as its hard to get on Wireless N router from them as well unless you are on a buisness plan.Now If you Turn off your wireless from the Verizon side and hook up a router switch to a open port on the verizon router\modem there should be no problem as thats how i do mine.Also there are only certain routers and that support Wireless N and IPv6 access and I will post some info here as well about that.

Sounds like either the Display or Graphics chip, that will not be cheap to fix. Because it is a 2006 and getting on in years, it might be best to move whatever you want to keep over to your newer iMac using Firewire Target Disk Mode and let it rest in peace.

I am trying to configure my SCXI-1540 w/1315 card for excitation voltage and frequency using MAX - but it is not giving me that option when I click on the card and then properties, am I looking in the wrong place?
I have LabVIEW Express 7.0 Professional - SCXI-1000 Chassiss - along with SCXI-1112, and SCXI 1520/1314 - cable to the PCI-6052E is attached to the 1520 card.
MAX says it recognizes all the cards in the chassiss.

I tried to set up the system as DAQmx.
I had MAX auto-detect the set-up - and it recognized all the cards - but did not select the 1315 accessory on the 1540 card - I had to do that manually - but in the configuration section I would select the accessory and it would deselect itself. I had to get out of the set-up and then right click on the 1540 card and click on the "Accessories" tab and select the 1315 terminal block that way.
It didn't seem right that the system should behave that way, but I pressed onward.
I then tried to create a new DAQmx Task
When I create new DAQmx task and then click on Analog Input no "Position" Tab appears for me to select, all I get are:
Analog>>Voltage
Analog>>Temperature
Ana
log>>Strain
Analog>>Current
Analog>>Resistance
Analog>>Frequency
Analog>>Custom Voltage with Excitation
Do you think there might be something wrong with either my hardware or perhaps my configuration that is not allowing it to recognize the 1540/1315 in DAQmx?
I had included the system report of what programs I am using, etc. as attached file nireport.txt
After the DAQmx did not work I tried installing everything as Traditional DAQ and it did let me set-up the 1540 Card with Excitation Voltage and Frequency and gain - I then went in to the VI that I had built and tried to use the Express DAQ Assisant to read the channel that I am connected to on the 1315/1540 - when I try to use DAQ Assistant it gives me an error saying that "Device not available in NI-DAQmx. It is possible that the device is being use by traditional NI-DAQ"
Which I guess it is since both configurations are now set-up in MAX.
I would PREFER to use the DAQmx set-up, but I am confused as to WHY it won
't come up with
Analog input>>POSITION>>LVDT
When I try to create a new DAQmx task.

If it's a charge though your iTunes Store account, it should be reflected in your Purchase History:

If the charges are not reflected in the Purchase History, then it's most likely a fraudulent charge to your credit card directly or your credit card number has been stolen and used by someone else in another iTunes Store account rather than an unauthorized purchase through your account. In either case it will be up to your bank to handle.

Normally you would go back to the store from which the card was purchased and get them to handle the problem, but since this was a gift, that's probably not possible. Go here:

At this - THIS point I was "told" I needed the 64 bit version (I have a 64 bit Lenovo T431s laptop). My patience wearing thin... I returned to the Adobe site from which I had done everything to this point. NOTHING with regard to a choice of 32 or 64 bit! Looked closely at the info that came with the download card... again, nothing regarding 32 or 64 bit option. Outlined this matter to Identit-e customer service... they said I need to contact Adobe. Adobe site does not make it easy to do that. Anyone have a solution and/or a suggestion?

NQuicky card and 802.11n AE

I have a Powerbook with nQuicky PCI card, but I am unable to connect to AE 802.11n network. In the network preferences it says "Cable not plugged in" and also "The cable for PCI ethernet slot PC card is not plugged in".
Installed the latest updated software for Leopard, but still no luck. Anyone with any ideas until their technical supports open on Monday??

Just a note to say that I have a Tiger TiBook with nquicky PCMCIA that is working fine. I found the procedure to set it up a bit confusing (quite likely due to my rushing along the way!), but got quick email support from quickertek and have been running fine ever since. I was particularly confused by how to set up a profile and enter the correct type of password.
The suggestion from Tesserax to check the system prefs is a good starting point.
I suggest you send a detailed email to quickertek support. Please post back with your experiences.

Core image and acd compatible cards for cube

I recently bought a second hand G4 Cube online and I am going to update it to Tiger. Now I haven't received the cube yet, but I was thinking along with the OS update, to change the graphics card too with something better. The cube has the Apple Cinema Display along and Tiger have core image. I can find a list with the core image compatible cards on this site, but I cannot find anywhere a list with all the cards that support both acd and core image and are agp x2 compatible. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

For a Cube, I think there is only one possibility for both ADC and Core Image.
The Radeon 9700 which shipped with G4 MDDs.

From the picture, it looks like this particular one is 4x/8x AGP only (the AGP connector is shown with only one notch instead of 2).
One other possibility would be to use a compatible Radeon 9800 or Geforce 6200 and an (expensive) ADC adapter like this one.

New Mac Mini and 802.11n 5Ghz - Does it work?

Does anyone know if this works? It states that it is 802.11a compatible which uses 5Ghz so I am guessing it does. I don't want to have to use a third party internal card like I do now with a separate external antenna. Thanks.

I have a mac mini I purchased last week (late 2009). I run 5Ghz 802.11n only (there is a g access point in the house, but that's on another part of the LAN). I have an iMac and MacBookPro that connect to the 802.11n and the performance is great - almost half as fast as a direct USB connection - it simply flies.
However, the mac mini is abysmal. It connects fine - everything works, but I get hardly 1Mbyte per second., despite having full signal strength. This is the info in System Profiler:

SCSI card for G5 tower?

Does anyone know of a good, compatible, SCSI/PCI card for a G5 tower?
We have some old scanners, tape drives, etc. that are al SCSI. They were connected to an old beige G3 that finally died. Now I can't access some of my back-up tapes, nor scan.
I know Adaptec makes one, but none of the specs list OSX (or any Mac OS) as an operating system.
I need a solution, and really know nothing about PCI cards. Any thoughts?

Rt2870sta in-kernel drivers and 802.11n

I have an Asus USB_N13 and it works well on 802.11g - I get a max bit rate of 54Mb/s whereas I would probably get more on the n setting, which router and dongle can support.
Is there a way I can edit wireless mode in in-kernel drivers like I could the .dat file on the prop drivers from Ralink? If so, how do I do change settings to 802.11n?

Yep - it was first thing I checked; my device also works with the rt2870sta, but not with rt2x drivers.
