Compatible CDMA phones

I have a LG VX8300, but sadly address book integration, and more specifically SMS receiving and sending doesn't work with the phone over bluetooth and my address book. Has anyone had any luck getting a Verizon Wireless phone to be correctly integrated into the address book? And if so, which model?

Hi, I have the Verizon LG VX8300 and I'm completely successful transfering things via bluetooth from computer to phone and phone to computer. Download the program called Bitpim. Follow the step-by-step instructions on this site -->

This should help you get started. You will then be able to sync address book and SMS. Let me know if you need any help once you've completed the last step.

  • URGENT Vodafone "vodacom" blackberry service stopped Working in CDMA phones in WHOLE South africa

customers using CDMA devices like storm 9530,tour 9630 ....can not use blackberry service due to vodafone "vodacom" netWork issues !!!!!!
it looks like they  have removed CDMA device identifiers for their BB service books, so any time a CDMA device attempts to re-register with the network (such as after an update), they cannot do so. and they blame it on the cdma phones ...........
here is vodacom comment regarding the issue:

On behalf of Vodacom, kindly accept our sincere apology for the manner in which your enquiry was dealt with and for any inconvenience caused.
The Blackberry device you are using is a Blackberry CDMA device.
Blackberry CDMA devices are brought to South Africa from foreign networks.
Blackberry CDMA devices are experiencing problems with the Blackberry service due to the incompatibly of these CDMA devices with our GPRS/3G Networks.

No, if it doesn't have a sim slot. However, the model number you posted is for a Verizon iPhone 4S. That model does have a sim slot, & if Verizon unlocks the sim slot, it can be used on GSM networks outside of the US.

I just bought a 3G, GSM, AT&T compatible (i-Phone) on Amazon. I need to find out whether it uses regular or micro (sim) card. The phone has not been delivered yet.

iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS (iPhone 3 series) both use regular SIM Card.
iPhone 4 GSM and iPhone 4S (iphone 4 series) use micro SIM Card.
The iPhone 3 series can use micro SIM with special adapter.

It seems to be rather hit or miss whether a given phone will work with the Mac. In particular you cannot assume that a phone will work just because Apple lists it as compatible. (http://www.community-media.com/wordpress/?p=161)
"I have the same phone and get the same error. But if I de-select Contacts and only choose to synchronize my calendar, it works fine. Opened a bug with Apple and they said to try and sync with a trial .mac account. Did that and it worked to .mac, but still can't sync contacts to my phone. Apple closed the bug report because it syncs to .mac. Go figure."
Certainly my Motorola will sync the calendar but not the address book, even though Apple's own website claims that it is compatible.

    Headset
    GPS for E911
    CDMA/PCS

  • HT3939 Will Sprint 1429 CDMA phone work in India with GSM carriers

I am planning to purchase a Sprint CDMA phone from ebay & carry to India. Will it work in India with GSM carriers SIM?

    No.
Buy in India only, from warrantee and full function point of view.
You need to buy Model A1429 (GSM model).
Verizon, which has GSM port unlocked is better choice. But LTE would not work on this model in India with Indian operator's sim.

    I beg to differ, amigo...
...but you're correct in saying that they're not generally available. You have to know where to find them. Evidently, you don't...and obviously I didn't either, or I wouldn't have asked. But I think I know how to find out where they are now.
Thanks again for your prompt replies.

  • HT3939 Does iPhone 5s hav unlocked CDMA phone with no sim tray for india???

I want to buy an iPhone 5s without sim tray CDMA phone on reliance network. Is it available??? Where can i get it?

No such thing as an unlocked CDMA phone. All iPhone 5S contain a SIM, for LTE support. CDMA phones have to be locked to their carrier because of the way they are activated on the CDMA side.

  • Where can I buy a CDMA phone (iPhone) in England?

My iPhone was stolen in London, and since CDMA phones don't work in the UK, I was wondering if there was somewhere I could get one for fairly cheap (since all CDMA phones here are probably stolen). Any tips would be appreciated!

Are you joking ,you are asking an Apple hosted forum for help in buying a stolen iPhone .
Most people wouldn't know what CDMA is in UK

  • Using foreign CDMA phones on Verizon Wireless

Hi, I went to South Korea for an internship and was given a LG U+ Samsung Galaxy S2 from a relative. It is CDMA, and after looking at the specifications it seems like it should work on Verizon Wireless network. However I was told that non VZW branded phones will not work unless the ESN number is manually added so I'm looking for some clarification. I'm not sure if I posted this in the right section, but hopefully I can get my question answered. It would also be helpful if a VZW rep could chime in!

Hi lagmachine and congrats on the internship! In reagards to using your device in South Korea, we would need to check the ESN to make sure the phone is compatible with our network. Additionally, you would need to activate service. Since we're not the carrier in South Korea, you would pay international roaming charges.
