Compatible Nokia with bluetooth BMW 3 series

Can anyone confirm me wich Nokia model is completely 100% compatible with the original bluetooth device of a 2007 BMW 3 series. I know that with the 6230i there's no problem, but are there others...
Same question for a 2007 Volvo S80. With Nokia N72 there is no compatibility.
Thanks in advance

Hi pawally
There are only three Nokia models fully compatible:
6230i, 6233 and the old faithful 6310i.

  • Is Siri in iOS 6 compatible with old BMW bluetooth?

I just bought the iphone 5 and I have a 2003 BMW 540 with bluetooth.  It seems that when I activate Siri, using the home button on the phone, while the phone is connected to the bluetooth Siri hears me through the bluetooth mic, but Siri's answers do not come over the car speakers.  In essence, it is useless since I cannot hear the answers (the phone speaker is deactivated since it connected to the BMW bluetooth) and I do not want to take my eyes off the road to read the answers on the phone's screen.  I can only think it is a bug in iOS 6 since Siri only hears me through the bluetooth mic and not from the phone's mic.
Thanks in avance for your help.

That's right, it's a bug.  Anytime iOS6 doesn't work the way we think it should, it's obviously a bug in iOS.
First off, your BMW is very old, so the Bluetooth profiles it uses might be out of date. Have you checked with your dealer for an update?
One thing you could try:  On my Lincoln, my iPhone 4S connects using two profiles, one for the phone, and the other for streaming music and Siri.  The Phone connects automatically, but the music stream does not.  Try changing your stereo "input source" to Bluetooth Streaming or equivalent.  When I did this with my 2012 Lincoln, all the Siri commands and responses went through the car speakers.

how to connect my cannon mx470 series printer with Bluetooth to my mini mac

Does the printer actually support BlueTooth? If the printer is wireless, then most likely it uses Wi-Fi. Did you read the user guide that came with it? Or contact Canon tech support at their website.

  • Current Android 2.1 OS Not Compatible with Bluetooth Voice Activation

After spending two frustrating days trying to make Bluetooth Voice Activation work with the HTC Incredible Android, I found out from HTC technical support that the Android 2.1 OS is not compatible with Bluetooth Voice Activation.  Supposedly changes to the operating system will correct the problem, but you're out of luck until then.....whenever 'then' is!  It appears that Verizon and HTC  have not choosen to include that information in their marketing material.  A bit irresponsible, especially if you live in a state that requires handsfree operation of your phone in an automobile.

It seems that Moto has a workaround in 2.1 on the Droid X:
I was just at VZW store this morning looking at the Droid X (which is currently at 2.1), and specifically asked an employee about this and he showed that it's solved on the Droid X -- he paired his bluetooth and demo'd handsfree dialing it for me.
Unfortunately, the Droid X is probably too large for me or my wife and the Droid Incredible doesn't have a solution for bluetooth handsfree dialing (yet).

  • NOKIA 5800XM bluetooth with ACURA MDX

    Hi Every1
I just got my NOKIA 5800XM couple of days ago.  I have successfully paired it with the Handsfreelink in ACura MDX 07. BUt, I can't dial out.
    Please help.
    Thanks

    Hi,
This has happened with all my android phones (Eris,Ally, DroidX) with my JagXF.  Sometimes rebooting the phone helps, other times I have to delete the phone from my car and re-pair the devices. I really think  Android has a problem with bluetooth though as it didn't happen with my Samsung Omnia and since it happened with 3 different droid phones, what  u think?  Hope this helps!!

  • Nokia n80 problem with bluetooth

    hello all
i have an n80 which i have given to my mother.
there seems to be a problem with bluetooth. i can connect it to my laptop by bluetooth and use the connection to browse the phone and transfer files but for some reason when i try to sync with outlook the connection always fails, all the time, no matter what.
can anyone think of any reason for this?
i have tried looking for firmware updates as i havent used the handset for 18mths but i cant find the pc cable so it wont identify the phone when i run a search.
any suggestions (apart from find the cable!) will be appreciated

Not being technically qualified enough on specifications of Bluetooth 3 all I can say is that Bluetooth SDP = Service Discovery Protocol seems to be absent fron N8, whereas it is present on say 5800XM and N97 Mini which appear to behave faultlessly with Toyota Bluetooth unit if this sheds any light.

  • Iphone 4 ios 6 does not pair with bluetooth on 2008 BMW 325i

I just updated my iphone 4 to IOS 6 this morning.  I got in my car and tried to pair the phone with bluetooth but it did not pair.  I removed the device from the car's memory and tried to re-pair the device but it did not function.  Can I roll back my iphone's operating system to 5.1 or how do I fix this?

I just discovered the same issue today in my efforts to get alert times synced on my iCal and iPhone after noticing a difference yesterday.  I have been using the iCloud calendar sync since iCloud first came out with zero problems.  Today I discover how terrible this sync is.  My wife and I use a macbook, imac, 2 phones and 2 ipads to enter in calendar information and we depend on a flawless sync for our work and family schedules.
First, the iCal on my iMac has default times that get applied to every singe item, even if that item had an alert beforehand.  But this default alert time is not applied as an alert on my iPhone4 calendar just the imac.  I haven't even looked at my macbook yet for fear of what i may discover.  After changing alerts and unchanging them and activating default times and deactivating them and wasting time doing this i just need to go through every event on my iphone to make sure that is now correct since I use that the most.  What an unbelievable hassle for a program that worked flawlessly beforehand.  Apple needs to recify this and have the sync work like it did before.
    I am running:
    Mavericks 10.9.1
    iTunes 11.1.3
    iCal Version 7.0 (1835.1)
    iPhone4 on 7.0.4 (11B554a)

  • Problems with Bluetooth and stablity post Portico ...

I updated my Lumia 920 on ATT with the Portico update the day it came out in order to get the daylight camera improvements.  I started having problems after the update, ironically problems that the update was supposed to fix:
    1) Bluetooth connection with BMW does not stay alive, drops after a few minutes
    2) When Bluetooth is connected, don't get sound and don't transmit sound.
    3) Just the other day, the phone frooze while connected to Bluetooth.  Had to put phone on speaker while calling, when I ended the call, the phone frooze.  Had to soft reset, but still have problems with bluetooth stay alive.
    4) Random reboots.
WIshing I had not done that update.  Any way to roll back?

Unfortunately, seems like it . I would let the battery drain flat, then take it back to your local AT&T store and ask for a replacement. If they are being less than helpful, contact Nokia direclty by clicking the Nokia Support link at the bottom of this page.

  • Nokia N75 bluetooth issues

    Hi,
I am having issues with bluetooth on my new MacBook Pro (2.5gHz non-unibody aluminum). It refuses to pair with my Nokia N75, it just hangs at the page that says "gathering additional information about your phone." The phone pairs fine with an older PowerBook G4 running Tiger. What's going on? I'd really like to be able to tether the phone without having to resort to a USB interface, or a five-year old laptop.
    Thanks,
    Adam Johnson

    HI Adam,
It's possible the Nokia isn't compatible with Leopard. Since your MBPro is new, since you don't have a profile, I'm assuming you are on Leopard. (It really helps us to help you if you click My Settings on the right side of the page and fill out the form then scroll down and click Save).
Try deleting the Bluetooth pref file. That can become corrupted. Locate this file:
com.apple.Bluetooth.plist /Users/YourName/Library/Preference. Drag that file from the Preferences folder to the Trash, empty the Trash. Try pairing the cell and Mac now.
Check the Nokia web site support area also.
    Carolyn

  • Does the E52 work with Bluetooth stereo headset?

The device details at forum.nokia.com don't list BluetoothStereoAudio as a property of the E52 (it does for 5630).
    Can anybody confirm this?

if nokia specification says it has A2DP and AVRCP, then it is compliant with Bluetooth Stereo no doubt about it...  bluetooth stereo is now a very common capability in many N and E series devices...
The specification does say that it has A2DP and AVRCP. The question here is, if it will work properly. I have experienced problems with a Motorola S9 and N73, S9 and N85, S9 and N95-8GB. The pairing will be perfect, but music breaks and call volume is very low compared to the same S9 when paired with a MotoROKR. In theory, all these phones support A2DP & AVRCP. But still there is an interoperability issue.

  • PC Suite stops working with Bluetooth after Laptop...

I use PC Suite and Bluetooth to connect to my Phone. I use the Synchronise, and the Messages feature a great deal. It all works great after a reboot, and I think it's a real credit to Nokia that they provide this free and improve their standing compared to other manufacturers.
However, the latest versions of PC Suite have taken a backward step in hardware compatibility. Previously, no matter what state my laptop was in - ie rebooted, returned from hibernate or standby, the laptop would connect to my phone over Bluetooth, and synchronizing would happen. When my phone went out of range, the connection would drop, and when it came back into range, the connection would re-establish and synchronizing would start again - wonderful!
Now, this only works after clean reboot, and after I have manually clicked on "Get Connected". After my laptop returns from standby, if I try "Get Connected" I get the error:
"Cannot use the connection type. Check that all the needed hardware, software and drivers are available. (Code: OpenMedia)"
To get PC Suite working with Bluetooth after returning from standby I run a Repair, after which it works beautifully.
Is this a known fault? I have uninstalled and re-installed PC Suite and the BT Stack as recommended in other posts to solve other issues. My configuration is:
    Operating system: Microsoft Windows XP
    Nokia PC Suite: Version 6.82.22.0
Bluetooth Stack for Windows by Toshiba v4.00.23(D) SP2
    Bluetooth Specification: Version 2.0, 1.2, 1.1
    Many thanks...

Thanks for your response Miksu. You have pointed me to the right place. It is the connection manager that fails to recognise the BT stack that causes my problems. This is always resolved by a repair. It seems that the order of initiation is very important which may be why Luist has started to have the problem.
In my experience, once things stop to work, I've had to strip out any subsequent installs.
My PCSuite also stopped working after it installed cable connection manager (or something like that) without me asking. I found it in Control Panel->Add/Remove programs. I removed it and PC Suite started to work again, so I completely removed PC Suite then re-installed, and allowed it to add the relevant devices relating to my phone (about 4 devices alltogether) but alas this did not solve my "return from standby" issue. I think I need to remove PC Suite and then Bluetooth, and maybe something else before re-installing - I'll leave that for a rainy day.
    Thanks again Miksu

  • Need the opinion of experts: N85 with Bluetooth pr...

Really need the opinion of experts on this one.
My N85 was swapped after the complaint that the Music Library Menu opened automatically after pairing with bluetooth of the car (permanent failure). Another complaint was that video recording was defective (intermittent failure). Also, Nokia detected great consumption of battery.
My question is: the swap came back the same relating to the bluetooth problem.. Is this a case of bad repair or a case of low knowledge...? I'm wondering if the Music Library Menu is to open when pairing with car bluetooth (strangely)....

The Dell Precision 380 has 3 PCIe slots: a x16 (for video cards), a x1,
and a x4.  I'm sure there are other PCs on the market with
    multiple PCIe slots.
Alternatively, the PCIe-8362 has TWO cabled PCI Express links.  So
you only need one slot in your host PC.  This may not be the best
solution, however, if bandwidth is your primary concern.  With one
8362 connected to two chassis, the total maximum throughput is 160
MB/s.  With two 8361s (each connected to a different chassis), the
total maximum throughput is 220 MB/s (110 MB/s on each).
Finally, keep in mind that the PXI chassis in your system are still
running at PCI speeds (132 MB/s).  Plus, this bandwidth is shared
across all devices in the system.  So the MXI Express connection
to the chassis may not be the bottleneck in the system.
    Good luck!

I've maked downgrade, but I have got a problem with bluetooth. System shown my new device, but it look for driver. I have downloaded it from http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-67782 but its wrong. The file name is 68bt02ww.exe
My notebook id Lenovo 3000 N200
Does anybody know where can I find the correct driver?

Thank you for testing this out, rabshm. If you go to Settings>Bluetooth>Paired Devices>and select the Settings/cog wheel> You will see a series of configuration options for Bluetooth services. Try disabling them all, and start testing by turning on one setting at a time. See if there is a conflict with the incoming messages.
Let us know if this helps.

  • Nokia N8 Bluetooth and Volkswagen

    Hello
I have a problem with bluetooth on my N8 and VW Tiguan. When the call connects, it is not always transferred to the car but I have to press the phone that it will switch over. The button on the steering wheel does not work for this. But it is not always this also works as it should.

  • My new Ipod Nano won't work in my car with Bluetooth.

I have a brand new 2014 Mazda Miata with Bluetooth. The car's manual only discusses using the Bluetooth for hands free phoning (there are hands free phone buttons on the steering wheel). No mention is made of how to use it with an MP3 player. The car's Bose stereo does have a sticker that says it is MP3 compatible. I sat in my car and changed the setting on the IPOD to turn Bluetooth on and for like 6 or 7 minutes it was saying something about trying to locate device. I finally got tired of waiting and put in a CD and drove off. I went back to where I purchased the Nano but they were no help, just wanted me to buy cables to use in the car. I see that my stereo has some sort of button that says Auxiliary (along with buttons for AM, FM, CD and Sirius) but the owners manual was no help with that buttons use.

    - Does the manufacturer say it will work with the 4G iPod and iOS on the iPod?
    - The configuration of the 4G iPod is different than previous iPods and on some docks the 4G does not fully seat in the dock.
    - Reset the dock. See the manufactuers instructons
    - Sometmtes this works.
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
However, sometimes an IOS update just breaks compatibility.
What model and IOS was the iPod that did work?
