I am seeking some information form anyone as to the registration criteria for Telstra Air. When the information was first sent to my homw I tried to register but got exactly no responses from Telstra so I tried a few more times and could not even get online with one message saying that there had been great interest in and the site is experienceing delays try agian later. All this seemed to ge going well and just as I thought I would contact Telstra I received an email stating that I do not meet the eligibility but no explanation as to why I do not meet this as I certainly met the criteria going through the registartion process. You cannot ship to an Apple store in another country - they will not
accept the shipment.
You must either take the iPhone personally to the country where the
warranty is valid or send it to a friend/relative in that country. After
repair/replacement, the friend will have to send the iPhone back to you.
All shipping and insurance costs are your responsibility.
Buy the iPhone where you intend to use it to avoid warranty problems.
Some features (especially 4G/LTE) might not work outside the country
the iPhone was meant for. KSA, UAE and some other countries block

Where will we give dg4msql details in tnsnames and listner files?

I am trying to update my Airport Extreme. I go into the Airport Utility and this is the message attached I get when clicking on it.

This sounds as if you have an older AirPort Express that is no longer supported by the newer Mavericks operating system.
To check and see if that might be the case, locate the model number on the side of the AirPort Express. It will start with an "A" followed by four numbers. Hard to see in the faint print.....so you may need reading glasses or a magnifying class to see the model number clearly.
Model numbers A1084 and A1088 of the AirPort Express are no longer supported by AirPort Utility in Mavericks.
You will need to use a Mac running Leopard, Snow Leopard, or a PC to be able to administer the older AirPort Express.

Apple has dropped support in Mavericks (10.9) of the AirPort Express and AirPort Extreme models that were discontinued more than six years ago.
You can still administer the older AirPort models if you have a Mac running Leopard, Snow Leopard, or a PC.

We have the following configuration:
Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.2.0 - 64bit Production.
Oracle Database Gateway for ODBC 11.2.0.2.0 on the same machine as Oracle DB.
Non-Oracle DB installed on a different hardware accessed through Oracle Gateway for ODBC via dblink.
Now, we have to query the remote non-Oracle system and retrieve some data. For the sake of brevity let's suppose we have the following table in our non-Oracle DB:

This actually means that Oracle CBO decided that it will apply filter on END_TIME column after having retrieved the data from the remote site. We don't want this behaviour but have no idea how to affect execution plan in this case.
So, the question is: How can we force Oracle CBO to not change the initial query and pass it to the remote site "as is"? Is there any way we can achieve this goal?

The non-Oracle DB is CopperEye Retrieval Server with its own custom ODBC driver.
CopperEye query log shows that the following query is received from Oracle Gateway:

SOS only, No Service and searching for network

Need help!! Very little beer spilled on my iPhone 4 where the speaker and front camera is and was wiped try immediately. It was still working fine after the incident for a few days however, suddenly the iPhone started playing up and losing reception and now its started showing SOS only then it says No Service and switches back and forth from No Service to searching.
I've tried...
Turing on/off airplane mode
Taking SIM out then putting it back in
Putting another SIM in iPhone both Telstra SIM and Optus
Putting iphone in container of rice for hours
Restore network settings
Hard reset iphone (holding sleep/home key)
Updating iTunes version
Sync -> back up iPhone -> restore iphone -> sync and back up iPhone from previous back up's -> restore back up again just to be on the safe side but there's no change and keeps switching from No Service to searching.
Telstra is not sure whats wrong and has advised to take it to Apple or Telstra store for assessment and sent of to get fixed.
Does anyone know why this is happening or what I can do to fix it without having to fork out money if possible as not covered by warranty anymore.

HANA and Gateway for Retail POS?

I hope you don't mind me bouncing an architecture question off you? I can't find a more suitable forum for this kind of question!
A retail customer is blueprinting for a new POS implementation - they have 1100 stores and will run IS Retail.
Would it make sense to run HANA appliances with Gateway services and find a way to ensure the stores are always online (backup comms etc)?
The ECC developers would focus on exposing relevant IS Retail etc services through Gateway - golden rule to keep business logic inside SAP. I would aim for stateless services too to keep it simple.
The UI team could freely build all manner of in-store solutions on mobile devices, registers, scanners etc. It would be easy to create something like an Apple store experience in the higher value stores (they sell furniture under one brand).
Ideally they would work on a cross-platform development environment so the team could easily select the best hardware for any particular requirements. For example, wxWidgets looks like a way to keep UI development consistent regardless of device.
I would really value your thoughts on this kind of approach.

If your stateless applications are processing screen-flows and shopping cart type navigation on the frontend until each imaginable LUW is complete, then you might end up with more than the SAPGui installed over there anyway. Actually, you might need the database on the frontend as well for some business processes...

Finally, I find a way to contact thier customer service (after many miniutes researching) . You need to find a text chat option on thier help web page. I am sure it is quite diffuicult to find this, so leave this chanllenge to you. And then, Skype solved my issue and explained that was caused by a bug. Their service is OK, as long as you can find. Good luck!

Compatible at-home printer for MacBook Air 13"?

Can anyone recommend an at-home printer for MacBook Air 13" for my granddaughter? High school now requires papers typed and printed. Thanks.

Personally I like Canon inkjet printers. When I connected it to the USB port, the MacBook immediately recognized it and it worked without a hitch. If you're going to be printing mostly B/W then there are many inexpensive laser printers that typically print faster and crisper for text. IMHO.

Was not informed of new policy when signing up for service and charged for services I did not knowingly agree to.

I’m writing to contest a $29.99 monthly charge, which is contracted for 24 months amounting to $720 in total. The charge is for a data plan which I did not knowingly agree to, and verizon is unwilling to remove from the account even though the phone on the line does NOT use data.
The backstory of the issue:
On September 19, 2014 I waited in line at an Apple store to purchase a new iPhone on launch day. I opened a new basic line of service for $9.99 a month on my account so I could purchase a discounted phone from Verizon. When purchasing the phone, the representative explained that he was going to have to put a basic data package on the line for $15 a month, but that it would be removed once I transferred the phone to an existing line on the account. After the purchase was complete, we transferred the phone to an exisitng line, and the represented confirmed that the data package would not be charged to my account and therefore I would only have to pay $9.99 a month for the basic line of service for two years. A couple weeks pass and I receive my bill, I notice that the data plan is still listed on my account and has also increased to $29.99 a month! I call Verizon to see what is going on, they tell me that they have just implemented a new policy that states if I purchased a smart phone on a basic account and then transfer the phone to a differnt line that I will have to pay $29.99 a month for data even if the new phone that is currently on the line does not use data! I told them I was not informed of this, and was actually told the complete opposite when signing up for service. They refuse to remove the data package, and will not let me cancel the account without charging me $350. The representative on the phone said that the representative in the store was a sales person and most likely did not have the training to inform them of the new policy change, and that they could not honor what he told me.
I should be able to rely on and trust what a Verizon wireless representative is telling me, I was not aware of the new policy and did not knowingly agree to this policy. And in that case, I would like to point out that I have been a loyal Verizon customer for over 15 years humbly request that you clear this $29.99 monthly charge from my account as a gesture of good faith.
I have spent over 7 hours on the phone with verizon trying to get this resolved to no avail. I have also filed a complaint with the attorney generals office, and plan to persue this until it is fully resolved.
