For single system landscape..
Go 000, DDIC ... STMS--> here it will ask for domain controller -- give self domain ---> Domain controller has been assigned .
Now again goto STMS> System overview>SAP SYSTEM >Create ->Virtual system- give name V<SID>
till this point your domain controller is created and virtual system is created .Next our aim is to setup STMS
again goto STMS>transport routes> change > configuration>statndard configuration ---> select second option (development and productino System ) because here your dev system will your own system and virtual system would be production system .
---> pop up will come -> give DEV - SID and Productino SID- it willl automatically create the route .
Save this and exit.
This way We can set single system landscape.

TMS - step-by-step example on how to setup and test TMS

I have installed ECC6 (AS ABAP) on NW2004s on Oracle, Windows platform. This is a 1-system landscape.
I would like to work hands-on with Transport Management System(TMS). I have read the theory part.
I need a document that shows how to setup a test TMS (transport route, package e.t.c.) , create a test transport, export and import the test transport in a 1-system landscape?
I'm looking for a simple test case that will help me understand TMS.

Config and test scripts of SOP

Hello All,
I am working on configuration of Flexible Planning.
I will have to start on the test scripts/cases soon and I am halfway with the config.It would be great if anybody could help me out with the config as well as test cases documents.

I have completed the config involved for SOP.
The scenario is my Client is going to get sales history from a legacy system uploaded to info structure(SXXX) and perform analysis.
I haven't worked on SOP's RCCP as most of my projects were involved in getting a file uploaded to DM and completing the PE.
I will have to come up with a graphical and report analysis anD match the RCCP with the sales history provided.Could anyone tell me what are the necessary fields that will be required from the legacy system to map it into SAP for RCCP.
It would be great if anyone could enlighten me with the process that goes with RCCP and the relevant formulaes necessary to know in the planning table.

i am knew to SAP and i heard the word FRICE from the people who are working in implementation projects
so that i want to know what is mean by FRICE and who will do it....?
and how much effort i need to put on it, for my 1st project.......
and who will prepair it means either functional consultent or technical guy....?
what is the use with test scripts adn who will make it.....
i dont have any experiance on any project like support or implementation... i fresher to the SAP

Its majorly a ABAP Development. And also its depends on client requirements ans may vary from client to client.
FRICE
F- FORMS: These include SapScripts and SMARTFORMS.
R- REPORTS: These include classical reporting and interactive reporting.
I- INTERFACES: These include ALE/EDI. Both of these interact with SAP R/3 using Idocs.
C- CONVERSIONS: These include BDCs and LSMWs. Uplodaing data into SAP R/3 is usually called a conversion. Think Direct transfer workbench (DXWB) also comes under this category.
E- ENHANCEMENTS: These include User-exits and BADIs. They provide the hooks to alter the standard SAP functionality. BADIs are again object oriented implementation of User-exits.

Question of SAP Methodology of Implementation esp. System Testing and Test Script

Dear SAP Member,
As a very new and inexperienced customer to the SAP and the business. My company is preparing for the retail shop establishment which part of the preparation includes SAP implementation.
At first, we strongly believe SAP can fit and serve our business need well. Also, the standard methodology of implementation will be able to deliver the system with expected quality. However, the local implementor disappoint my firm with poor quality delivery and control that result in the perception of uncertainty of the system to be lived.
The methodology proposed by the implementor composed with
1) Preparation
2) Blueprint
3) Realization
a) Program development and unit test by vendor
b) Training
4) Final Preparation
a) Integration test by Users
b) Data conversion preparation
5) Go-Live and Support
My problem comes up with phase 4-5
Problem 1: Unit/functional test performed by implementor . For this activities, how could customer ensure that every single function has been developed or implemented according to the requirement and without error?
Problem 2: Vendor provides slot for integration test for 7 days. Is it normal practice that test can be done within this short period?
Problem 3: Does SAP methodology has the standard quality control, test enter and exit criteria and issue/incident management?
Problem 4: How should the standard test script look like? What i received from implementor was like functional list rather than script.
Problem 5: what should be step for conversion apart from the data preparation by users? The local implementor does not explain/elaborate the detailed activities.
Last but not least, as the customer do not satisfy with the SAP partner (local implementor quality). What should be the process for feedback as to prevent other new customer to face the same problem?

If this is an issue to you, you can insist that members of your test team participate in unit testing. You are, after all, the client, and it is your money being spent. As long as you can furnish testers, who are competent to evaluate unit testing scenarios, you can have them work with the vendor during unit testing.
Vendor provides slot for integration test for 7 days. Is it normal practice that test can be done within this short period?
It depends on what is being implemented. I have seen implementations which contained over a hundred test scenarios and over 2000 test scripts; each of which must be tested by multiple functional groups. 1 week is not enough to complete Integration testing in this case.
Also remember that it is necessary to allow time to correct 'bugs' found during integration testing, and then to re-test after the bugs are fixed. Except in the simplest of implementations, 1 week may not be enough to accommodate the bug fixes and retests.

Which 'SAP methodology' are you talking about? Bottom line, the client must insist that the vendor incorporate any methodologies that are required for his business. Don't assume that your vendor will automatically bring these items to the table, YOU may have to bring them to the table.

????? It should look like whatever you want it to look like. Many companies have existing templates. If your company doesn't have such a template, ask your vendor for one. Go over it together with him and make appropriate modifications that meet your business requirements.

It is impossible to say at the beginning of the project. Sometime during realization, the client and the vendor will jointly develop a detailed cutover plan. More importantly, the client will develop a change management plan for the client company, in which all stakeholders in the client company will come to understand how and when ALL of the client's business processes will need to change, and to develop plans for all affected groups.

ACE Load Balance setup and testing - vip

Got a new ACE 4710 and am I new to the appliance. I am testing out a senario with load balancing between two servers. In testing when I ping the VIP ip address the replies I see are from the real server ip addresses. I am just wondering if this is the correct normal behavior or should I see the ping replies coming from the VIP ip address?

Using the Tx. STWB_TC, we are creating the manual test cases. While doing so we will provide the test case desctiption
Automated ECATT
using the Tx. SECATT, we are creating the Test Configuration. We are providing description through the documentation option.
The SAP format for both documents is
               &DESCRIPTION&
               &PREPARATION&
               &ENTRANCE&
               &REALIZE&
               &CHECK&
               &FURTHER_HINTS&
But we want the format to be
               <DESIGNSTEPS>
               <INPUTDATA>
               <EXPECTEDRESULT>
               <TARGETSYSTEM>
So we want to update the format / template to reflect the changes.
Please guide us to do so.

Compensation Workbench Combination Plan

Hi All,
We are trying to setup the combination plan. And we are stuck at budgets and rates.
We have two options Merit and Bonus. Requirement is to deduct the budget for both
options from same single budget. So do we need to create distribution and worksheet
budgets on plan level or option in plan level. Found something for component plan setup.
Compensation Workbench Rate and Budget Overview [ID 369711.1].
But could not find something similar for Combination plan.
Any help would be really appreciated.

Unfortunately I can't help you on questions 1-3, but for question #4 I believe you are on the right track. See below.
4. While setting up Plan enrollment Requirements > Timing, the dates are really confusing
a. Availablity Period - Plan will be available during this period? - Yes this is the period of time you want the plan to be accessible (update or read only) in MSS.
b. Assigned Life Event date - life event will evaluating the eligibilty and rates as of this date? - this is the "as of" date that the data is pulled (title, salary etc as of that date).
c. Year Period - ? - For us this is just a display field - it will show the managers what year they are doing the evaluation for. It doesn't factor into any of the calculations.
d. Self Service update period - Avalibility of the plan for changes through self-service? - this is the period you want the plan to be open for updates. This only controls the dates, you need to handle the individual managers access via the Employee Administration function in CWB. Managers will still be able to view the data as read only after this date, depending on what dates you used for the Availability Period.
e. Assignment change become effective dates - Increase and bonus will be effective as of this date? - Yes, assuming you have the post process set up to pull that field for the effective date. We fill it in but it is ignored because we have another custom post process that we can fill in the effective date as a parameter when we submit the process.
The Availability Period and Self Service Update Period dates can be altered after you run the plan.

Olioweb QOS error and Test Run is not compliant

Hi,
I made 3 tile setup and test is failing for Olioweb QOS. When I run first 2 tile, test runs fine and run is compliant. Later I ran oly 3rd tile and test run is compliant without any issue.
When I start all 3 tiles together I get olioWeb QOS error for first 2 tiles. Sometimes all 3 tiles gives OlioWeb QOS error.
Attached the result.
Please look into it and let me know if anthing need to be changed in setup.

I have run only olioweb workload for all the three tiles and I do not see any failure in Olioweb.wrf. I have attached the result for the run. It looks like clean run when only Olioweb load is ran.
Again I ran the 3 tile for all workloads . I observed QOS error happens for all three tiles. i.e olioweb workloads. previosuly only for 2 tiles it gave QOS error.
I am trying to find the subsystem which is saturating in my setup. As I asked I am expecting some alarms from Vcenter when resources peaks to its max.
I am seeing CPU is taking less than 70% in all ESXi Servers. Memory less than 20%.
Disk Max latency is less than 20ms.
Network is max 500Mbps for 10G network connectivity.
Do you see above resource utilization problematic?>

Change Management and Test Workbench for documentation

Hi,
I would like some clarification on the association between change requests and test workbench.
I'm going through scenarios such as creating a maintenance project, creating a task list and service message and then creating a transport request.
During these steps, I want to document the test results prior to migrating these transports into the production system.
My questions are - how do you link the maintenance project and also urgent corrections to a test procedure and documentation. It appears that by using solar01/solar02 and stwb_2/stwb_work, these tests are linked to a project and not necessarily a "change request"
I greatly appreciate if you can elaborate the association between the various areas a bit clearer for me.

You need to look for information on usage type "DI", "Development Infrastructure" or "NWDI" (all common abbreviations for the same thing). There were some very good presentations on NWDI at TechEd this year.

STWB_1 - Test Catalogue
STWB_2 - Test Organizer
SCAT - Test the object ( CATT) includes recordings ,parameters
AND SECATT - Extended CATT
STWB_WORK - This is a like a worlist to monitor test cases and CATT N ECATT
Now Test Catalogue includes Test cases and test cases includes CATT which has test scripts which is organized in Test organizer .
and to monitor this you use STWB_WORK.

Running a pre-test script to setup my test data

I am trying to run a script from e-Manager Enterprise to setup or stage my data prior to the playback of my test branch. I think i could do it with vba in a dummy e-Tester script or via a third party test. Has anyone ever done this and what is the best method for this type of activity?

The 3rd Party test case type in e-ME is well suited for this purpose. You can specify any .bat file executable to run with your 3rd Party test case. Although one usage for this is to launch automated scripts in external or homegrown test tools - another usage is to launch a pre-test or other executable to setup your test environment. You can then either launch this manually in the e-ME test tree or schedule it to run ahead of your other automated scripts in the e-ME Web scheduler.

PowerShell Document Test Script

I am in desperate need of some Powershell Test Script.
I am trying to automate document composition testing, as in direct powershell to a directory containing the pdf document and data files.
I am able to get the data in raw form and then the data to be accessible on Powershell.
I am trying to test if things are as they should be as according to a spec.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME????
i HAVE NEVER USED pOWERSHELL OR DONE ANYTHING LIKE THIS AND MY JOB DEPENDS ON IT.
