Compilation errors from decl-32.h

Hello:
I have the following configuration.
GPIB card: AT-GPIB PnP
: Win 95
: Borland C/C++ compiler
Interfaced instrument: Oscilloscope, HP54501A.
Using IBIC (interactive control), I am able to communicate with the device without porblems. I then tried to run the following program for getting the device ID.
#include
#include "decl-32.h"
#include
#include
#include
main()
int scope_id;
scope_id= ibfind("HPSCOPE");
printf("The address of hp oscilloscope is %d.\n",scope_id);
I compile this program using the following command:
bcc -w32 -j5 scope2.c Borlan~1.obj
and I get the follwing error message:
Borland C++ Versio
n 3.00 Copyright (c) 1991 Borland International
scope2.c:
Error decl-32.h 248: ) expected
Error decl-32.h 268: Declaration syntax error

Error decl-32.h 309: Declaration syntax error
Error decl-32.h 310: Declaration syntax error
Error decl-32.h 310: Too many error or warning messages
*** 7 errors in Compile ***
I looked at line 248 of decl .h but could not understand why it is causing the error.
I would very much appriciate any pointers on ths problem.
Thanking you.
Sinerely,
Giridhar.

It's seems for me that there is a problem with you decl-32.h header ! Maybe
you have changed it ?
I attached you my header file !
I hope that help you !

    I need help with correcting a compiling error from the code listed below. The  error reads as follows:
    Scene 1, Layer 'actions', Frame 1, Line 10

    Thanks in advance. Here's my code:
    import flash.events.MouseEvent;
    import flash.geom.Rectangle;
    import flash.events.Event;
    //define constraints to keep thumb inside of bar
    var constraint:Rectangle = new Rectangle (bar.x, bar.y, bar.width-thumb.width, 0);

    var isPlaying:Boolean = true;

    Hello Andrei1/Ned,
    I followed your recommendations by changing the isPlaying variable to jumpStart as well as cleaning up the code a bit. The code now works. Many Thanks!

  • Compile Error from Forte 6.0 Update 1

    Hi,
    We have the following situation:
    // CORBA.h file
    struct {
    class Object;
    typedef Object* Object_ptr;
    // Our .h file
    namespace OSP {
    typedef IDLSEQUENCE_OSP_SetListElement SetList;
    typedef IDLSEQUENCE_OSP_SetListElement_var
    SetList_var;
    // Our .C file
    class something {
    somefunction(OSP::SetList_var, CORBA::Long, \
    CORBA::Object_ptr &);
    // use somefunction
    something si;
    CORBA::Long cl;
    OSP::SetList sl;
    CORBA::Object_ptr so = <something>;
    si.somefunction(sl, cl, so);
    When compiling we get an error that says
    the signature does not match:
    Error: Could not find a match for\
    <something>::<somefunction>( \
         OSP::_IDL_SEQUENCE_OSP_SetListElement_var, \          long, CORBA::Object*)
    Are typedef'ed symbols treated differently in
    Forte 6 Update 1 (ANSI compliant)?
    Appreciate your help!
    Shyam

    I've tested your code on a couple different versions of Forte Developer C++, and it is indeed a bug. I've filed it as Bug ID 4632564. We're working on this issue, and I'll keep you updated on it.

  • Compilation Error from Forte for Java 3.0

    Hi! Everyone.
    I got a problem on Java program compilation.
    When I compile the program in any project, I got following error message:
    You may not use the compiler Ant Script Compilation on the object ibmTableFormat because it is not an Ant script.
    Would anyone help me to solve this problem? Thanks.

    Select Menu 'Project'
    -> Select 'Setting'
    -> Select node 'Java Sources'
    -> Edit property 'Default Compiler'
    Then problem is fixed.

  • Odd compile errors from /opt/sunstudioceres/prod/include/CC/Cstd/memory

    I'm trying to compile an MPI program using Sun Studio Ceres and I'm getting the errors below. The code compiles fine using g++ and openMPI. The non-MPI version of the code compiles fine with the Sun tools.
    "/opt/sunstudioceres/prod/include/CC/Cstd/memory", line 798: Error: "," expected instead of "(".
    "/opt/sunstudioceres/prod/include/CC/Cstd/memory", line 798: Error: Type name expected instead of "(".
    "/opt/sunstudioceres/prod/include/CC/Cstd/rw/locimpl", line 291: Error: Identifier expected instead of "(".
    Thanks in advance,
    Edward

    The header files for the default libCstd have in several places used identifiers like "X" or "T" or "size" that are reserved for programmer (your) use. Technically, the sequence
    #define X something
    #include <standard_header>
    is valid C++, but could break using the libCstd implementation.
    This problem was captured in two bug reports:
    6785883 Template parameter names in libCstd clash with user macros
    6797621 More template parameter names in libCstd clash with user macros
    These bugs should be fixed in the next patch released for Sun Studio 12, and are fixed in the Sun Studio Express release coming out in March.

  • Compile errors using bpelx:append

    I'm getting compile errors from one particular bpelx:append. I have others earlier in the bpel code, and they seem to be passing the check.

    </assign>
    </otherwise>
    </switch>
    Any ideas?

    We are also receiving the same error. Our process was built for a client in 10.1.2.0.2 and the GUI interface never really liked the bpelx:append statement - it always showed up as an alert/error. But it worked on 10.1.2.0.2
    Now that the client is upgrading to 10.1.3, it won't actually compile.
    Anyone know of a solution?

  • Compiling error in Hierarchical Tree !!!!! Urgent attention!!!

    I have made the Hierarchical Tree as described in the resuable demo help as is but when ever i try to compile the form i gets error on the navigator."anything!". I guess the forms are not able to find the navigator package. I have attached the navigator.pll. I think there is nothing mroe to attach to a form
    Till now i have searched every documentation on the net and the files ships wiht DEV 6.0.5.2. But not ablet o find any thing regarding the installation of navigator package :( Is there any one can tell me how u remover the compiling error from the form which is dur to the navigator package!!!!
    null

    If you are using DEV 6.0.5.2 you should use the FTREE built-in package. Look under the Built-In package node. The Navigator.pll was a demo used in Forms4.5 before there was a hierarchial tree item type.

  • Global - MathScript Node Failed To Compile Error

    I have Labview 2009 SP1 with Mathscript Module.
    While using 'global' command, I've encountered "MathScript Node Failed To Compile Error" from the first time I tried it.
    In Mathscript window:
    'Error in line 0:  An internal error occurred while processing this MathScript. Contact National Instruments with the MathScript you used.'
    is produced for any simple 'global a' (or any other variable name used).

    Opps, one step you missed in the error code: Contact National Instruments with the Mathscript you used.
    Go ahead and attach some example code that is throwing this error and I'll see if I can reproduce it on this end. There were a bunch of updates to the Mathscript Node in the F3 Patch so make sure that or LabVIEW 2009 SP1 is installed.
    Also, are you seeing this on any other computers?
    Look forward to hearing back!

  • A sporadic compile error vbc : error BC31019: Unable to write to output file 'D:\Revit\Dev32\RevitAdditions\Source\..\Intermediate\ReleaseWin32\VBNETSnippets\VBNETSnippets.dll': The specified image file did not contain a resource section.

    Hi,
    This is developer from Autodesk. We get this compile error from time to time. This is a sporadic failure. We can't find any issue in our own project.
    vbc : error BC31019: Unable to write to output file 'D:\Revit\Dev32\RevitAdditions\Source\..\Intermediate\ReleaseWin32\VBNETSnippets\VBNETSnippets.dll': The specified image file did not contain a resource section.
    I find a help doc from the website to try some steps to solve this issue.
    Error ID: BC31019
    To correct this error
    Compile the program again to      see if the error recurs.
    If the error continues, save      your work and restart Visual Studio.
    If the error continues, restart      the computer.
    If the error recurs, reinstall      Visual Basic.
    If the error persists after      reinstallation, notify Microsoft Product Support Services.
    My question is what the root cause for this issue. Could you please give us some explanation where the issue should be,  VB compiler? .Net Framework?
    Visual Studio? Operating system?
    Thanks

    Hi hitzwx,
    Thank you for posting in MSDN forum.
    Since this forum is to discuss: Visual Studio WPF/SL Designer, Visual Studio Guidance Automation Toolkit, Developer Documentation and Help
    System, and Visual Studio Editor.
    Based on your issue, I am not sure what the root cause for this issue. But I suggest you can try some suggestions so that narrow down this issue.
    (1) I suggest you try to create a new simple VB project and then check this issue.
    (2) In addition, maybe you see the document about your issue. If possible, I suggest you can try these suggestions to troubleshooting this issue.

  • Compilation error while calling static method from another class

    Hi,
    I am new to Java Programming. I have written two class files Dummy1 and Dummy2.java in the same package Test.
    In Dummy1.java I have declared a static final variable and a static method as you can see it below.
    package Test;
    import java.io.*;
    public class Dummy1
    public static final int var1= 10;
    public static int varDisp(int var2)
    return(var1+var2);
    This is program is compiling fine.
    I have called the static method varDisp from the class Dummy2 and it is as follows
    package Test;
    import java.io.*;
    public class Dummy2
    public int var3=15;
    public int test=0;
    test+=Dummy1.varDisp(var3);
    and when i compile Dummy2.java, there is a compilation error <identifier > expected.
    Please help me in this program.

    public class Dummy2
    public int var3=15;
    public int test=0;
    test+=Dummy1.varDisp(var3);
    }test+=Dummy1.varDisplay(var3);
    must be in a method, it cannot just be out somewhere in the class!

    http://docs.sun.com/source/817-2175-10/decmp.html
    Please go to the above docs and look thru the examples given in it.
    Example 2
    This query returns all products in a specified price range. It defines two query parameters which are the lower and upper bound for the price: double low, double high. The filter compares the query parameters with the price field:
    "low < price && price < high"
    The finder element of the sun-ejb-jar.xml file would look like this:
    <finder>
    <method-name>findInRange</method-name>
    <query-params>double low, double high</query-params>
    <query-filter>low < price && price &lt
    high</query-filter
    </finder>
    I hope this hepls. In your case u just have to make it null.

  • TP4 / ADF Rich client demo just downloaded from otn / 41 compiling errors !

    I just downloaded ADF Riche client demo and installed it jdev tp4.
    Rebuild causes 41 compilation errors and the application is not runnable.
    Is it a way to solve this ?
    Some of the errors:
    Error: cannot read: C:\JDeveloper\myWork\adf-richclient-demo\adf-richclient-demo\public_html\WEB-INF\classes\.jsps\_components\_inputComboboxListOfValues_jspx.java
    Error: cannot read: C:\JDeveloper\myWork\adf-richclient-demo\adf-richclient-demo\public_html\WEB-INF\classes\.jsps\_components\_queryToggle_jspx.java
    Error(57): "rows" is not a valid attribute name.
    Error(57): "maxColumns" is not a valid attribute name.

    Forget about it ... downloading again and reinstalling it without any errors ... may be i downloaded from an older link or do some bad copy ... sorry disturbing you !

  • Compilation errors after upgrading from 8.1.6 to 10.2

    I recently upgraded a Weblogic Workshop application from version 8.1.6 to 10.2 using the Import wizard in Weblogic Workshop 10.2. However, I am getting the following compilation errors:
    Problem encountered finding XML Schema metadata for XML Bean
    com.ssmb.amps.workflow.projectionApproval.ProjectionApprovalDocument
    Does any one has any idea on it?
    Thanks,
    Albert

    Hi,
    Once upgraded from s.1 to 10.2, XML Schemes are converted to XMLBeans. So, during compiliation XMLSchemas are encountered. Try deleting XMLSchemas and compile. Hope it may help.
