Compile error in flex with FlvPlayBack

Hi all,
First of all I should mention that i'm working under linux.
I've installed flex plugin 3 alpha 4 for eclipse, with an ecliplse 3.3.0.
I've decided to be in the "best environement" possible and do not force the installation as needed on higher versions.
Firsts compilation, hello word, textbox, backgrounds...etc.. run correctly... stimulant !
So I start my real stuff : working with FlvPlayback.
I choose this component because I have to work with cue points and I prefer not to start with a full extend of video classes to implement it.
I've installed the 2.5 component released for linux as mentionned in the productivity tool download page.
Adding the swc to my projet librairie build path and wow : now I can acceed to fl.* classes with import classes completion... sounds good !!!
However when I tried to compile a simple code ( player with 1 flv ) it rise an error :
1046 : Type not found or not a compilation constant : NetStreamPlayOptions.
I've browsed the web frantically for hours....
What i've understood is that this class is part of Player2 implementation that come in runtime player10.
According to http://opensource.adobe.com/wiki/display/flexsdk/Targeting+Flash+Player+10?showComments=fa lse
i have to got /frameworks/libs/player/10/playerglobal.swc and force eclipse to use it.
But that's not in the SDK...
All what adobe propose as download is the libflashplayer.so.
Does anyone had encountered this issue ?
As the download page explicitly explain the the component is working on linux there should be a fix somewhere, does anybody know ?
Thxs for you help...

Hi,
Can you please make sure you have Flex 3.2 or higher SDK and then target to Flash Player 10. I have this working on my system and yes, i got the same error when my SDK was below 3.2 and not targeted to Flash Player 10.
Hope this helps.

• Compile error during Flex Deployment of a Webservice

Hello,
We are using the Visual Composer (7.0 SP9) to display the data from a home made Web Service. This is the complete display of a simple table without input.
We tested the Web Service with the "Test Dat Service" option and within the Web Service Navigator of the J2EE Engine. This all worked fine.
When we try to deploy the application with Flash/Flex it fails, but when we try to deploy it with WebDynpro, the table is displayed correctly.

Hi Edwin,
have you access to the AAD25B.mxml file and take a look at the lines where the errors occurs?
Maybe you get further particulars about the errors.
But I think, this is an error in VC, but I'm not sure.

• Stuck on Compiler Error in Flex Builder

Greetings all.
I have my first Flex app calling a Java backend, and the connection works fine. I have a method "getContinents()" in Java, which returns a List of Continent objects. Each Continent object has two variables, "name" and "description". "Name" is a two-letter abbreviation (NA for North America, SA for South America, etc; you get the idea) and "Description" is the spelled-out description (like "North America"). I have an ActionScript class which mimics the Java class.
In Flex, I have a DataGrid which has, as its dataProvider, a Bindable ArrayCollection. When the data comes back into Flex, I put it in the aforementioned Bindable ArrayCollection. That works great. The list of Continents appears in the DataGrid, as expected.
The issue is the DropDownList. I want to see the same thing happen in the DropDownList. I want to see the Description in the DropDownList, and when one is chosen, based on the selection, I want to go back to the server to get the list of Countries in that selected Continent. But I can't get this to happen because I can't get past a compiler error on the DropDownList:
-1067: Implicit coercion of a value of type String to an unrelated type mx.collections:IList.
DropDownList is defined like this:
<s:DropDownList x="270" y="220" id="continentDropdown" width="112">
dataProvider="{continentArray}"
labelField="description"
valueField="name"
change="continentChanged(event)">
</s:DropDownList>
Data is returned to Flex in this result handler:
protected function continentsRO_resultHandler(event:ResultEvent):void
{    log.info("Returned in result handler") ;
continentArray=event.result as ArrayCollection ;
When I create a ComboBox instead of a DropDownList, I get the same compiler error. When I change the ComboBox from a Spark ComboBox to an MX ComboBox, I don't get the compiler error, but the ComboBox never has any data in it.
Would anyone be able to tell me what it is that I am doing wrong here?
Thanks very much in advance!!!

I would try this:
continentArray = new ArrayCollection(event.result as Array);
And if that does not work then ensure event.result is not just a string.

• Compiling error ORA-00600 with Forms 6 and Database 10g

Hi,
I am using "Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.1.0.4.0" and "Forms [32 Bit] Version 6.0.8.26.0 " with patch 17, when i compile a form that works with some tables in another database under dblink the error ORA-00600:internal error code, arguments:[16203],[],[],[],[],[],[],[] is displayed.
If i word with reports or sqlplus no error is displayed.
Before we installed 10g everything worked ok
What is wrong with forms or do i need to configure something else?
Regards
Yuri V. López Manrique

I searched for this error on Google and found the following blog:
Is there a tool to troubleshoot ORA-00600 and ORA-07445 errors?
February 27th, 2006 By Fahd Mirza
ORA-00600 and ORA-07445 errors are the most esoteric errors in Oracle.
There is a tool called “ORA-600/ORA-7445 Troubleshooter” available at Metalink. It asks for the first argument of ORA-600 error with an optional database version number.
For example, to see the description of the error:
ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [723], [25908], [25908], [memory leak]
You enter 723 in the “ORA-600 First Argument” field. The first argument is a pointer to where in the code the error was caught and thus is the key information in identifying the problem.
You can also embed (copy/paste) the “Call Stack Trace” there, and, when you click on the “Search Call Stack” button an advanced MetaLink search is performed to find documents containing relevant sections from the call stack.
Call Stack extracts from the following files are supported:
* Generic foreground and background server trace files located in background_dump_dest and user_dump_dest
* OpenVMS NETV2 and BEQ log files located in ORA_ROOT:[NETWORK.LOG]
* WINDOWS CORE.LOG files
* GDB (debugger) backtrace call stacks (best endeavors)
Of course you will need a login to Oracle's Metalink site.
Hope that helps,
c

• Native extension, compilation error in flex

Hello,
I use flex 4.6.
I try to include native extension in my AIR/IOS project, but when I compile, i always have a runtime error whatever the native extension i try.
Exemple :
VerifyError: Error #1014: Class com.custardbelly.air.extensions.battery.ios::Battery could not be found.
I link in my project properties the ane file and the associate swc file.
in the app xml file I have the right extensions tag :
<extensions>
<extensionID>com.custardbelly.ibattery</extensionID>
</extensions>
What do I wrong ?
Thanks.
PS : sorry for my english...

Make sure the ANE file has no error if you created it.
Add the ANE file into your project Build Path, then check it into Build Packaging->Apple IOS->Native Extensions.
BTW, I built my native extension for displaying PPT file in UIWebView from Objective-C. Then I tried it on my PC to get the IPA file, it did not work out, but it works on my mac
I don't what exactly the reason is. You can try a mac if you are using windows.

• Error code 1054: compiling error on examples with the 5640R

Hi,
I'm trying to use the 5640R to analyze the I and Q outputs of a set of downconversion mixers. I found that I might be able to slightly modify some of the examples that came with driver 1.3. However, when I tried to compile the FPGA part of the "ni5640R Analog Input and Output" example (before I made any modifications), I get a Code Generation Error 1054 (Cut and pasted below)
Error 1054 occurred at nirviUIDToObject.vi
Possible reason(s):
Error getting object reference for UID.

The code goes on for pages and pages. When I use the pre-compiled "NI5640R Analog Input and Output (FPGA)" module that came with the driver, I seem to have no problems. Could anybody please shed some light on the issue?
Thank.
Richard Tseng

Hi, I just wanted to report that I seem to have solved the problem. The issue was that while Labview was recently updated to version 8.6.1, the Labview FPGA module stayed at version 8.6. I found information leading to the solution through these two posts:

• Compiler Error - No Fix With Trashing Pref's.

I'm attempting burn a project originally authored in DVDSP 3 through DVDSP 4 - however I get the infamous "Compiler File Error" immediately after initiating burn.
Reviewed previous posts about trashing Prefs, Repaing Permissions and trashing the PAR files associated with the project with no luck.

David,
Even when you comment out the channel (actually all channels) that has the
reference to mx.messaging.channels.StreamingAMFChannel this still doesn't
work?
Are you sure that FlexBuilder is pointing at the right services-config.xml
file when it compiles the MXML? It can't point at a BlazeDS 'default'
config.
It sounds like the problem is that the Flex2 libraries in the swf are trying
to load that channel class which is new for Flex3 and it isn't there.
Removing any and all references to this class in the config files used to
compile the swf should fix it.
Let us knwo if that isn't it.

• Flex compilation error after adding an additional output port to a query

Hello,
I need to add an additional output port to a query in order to dynamically filter some results. Our version of VC 7.0 (SP16) doesn't support filter components with access to store data.
Just when we add an extra output port to the query and deploy it we run into a flex compilation error.
Has somebody come along with that?
Kind regards
Stefan

Hi
Why exactly you want another output port. With same output port you can drag multiple filters & restrict the output.
Creation of second output port is not required.
If first way is not suitable in your case, then you add that query twice (or multiple times) & pass the same input parameters.
If still it is not serving the purpose then please elaborate your requirement as what dynamic filter you want.
Regards

• 32 K error while compiling and deploying flex application

Hi SAP Team,
This is regarding the modelling of complex and huge models in VC and
errors when modelling the same.
I have a huge and complex model containing more than 100 queries from
BI 7.0 system which iam using for modelling a VC application.I have 5
layers to display the queries data.
Iam getting deployment error when iam deploying the application which
is a 32 K flex deployment error.
I have modelled the application with multiple nested iviews and
multiple layers.
I have the following questions regarding the above VC model:
1)is there a upper limit of number of queries or services ( i have used
around 100 queries in the above model)that can be used in VC Model
2)is there any performance issue of using this many number of queries
in a single model and running all the queries on a single submit button
click.
3)How to deal with adobe flex compilation error when deploying large or
complex models
4)I have used all the best modelling practices in my model as per note
936390 .But still iam getting the error.
Thanks

Can anyone pelase tell me what is the significance of the component:
com.sap.visualcomposer.vcflex.default
iam asking the above question because, theversion of above component is different from my actual v ersion of portal i.e EP is at Version 7.0 and SP 16 but the above component is at version7.0 and SP 10.
the SAP note 936390 says that The fix for 32k flex deployment problem was introduced with the release of flex2.0 runtime in SP14 patch 2.
I want to check whether the above component ( com.sap.visualcomposer.vcflex.default ) is actually causing the issue.

• Compilation error with dataProvider attribute

My objective is to have a ComboBox itemEditor for a column in
a DataGrid. This
will get used in a number of places in our app, for example
to add an order
line to an order. We would want the ComboBox to be populated
with the list of
available products, and Flex goes most of the way to
providing that
functionality. But I get a compilation error on a line that I
would expect to
work. Here's the full sample:
quote:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<mx:Application xmlns:mx="
http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml"
height="700" width="700"
creationComplete="onLoad()">

<![CDATA[
[Bindable]
public var myDP:Array = [
{label1:"P1", quantity:3},
{label1:"P2", quantity:3}
[Bindable]
public var products:Array = [ {label:"P1", data:1},
{label:"P2", data:2}, {label:"P3", data:3} ];
public function onLoad():void
ProductsRequest.send() ;
]]>
</mx:Script>
<mx:HTTPService id="ProductsRequest"
url="
http://localhost:3000/lists/productlist"
useProxy="false"/>
<mx:Component id="ProductCodeEditor">
<mx:ComboBox
dataProvider="{ProductsRequest.lastResult.products.product}"
labelField="name"/>
</mx:Component>
<mx:ComboBox
dataProvider="{ProductsRequest.lastResult.products.product}"
labelField="name"></mx:ComboBox>
<mx:DataGrid id="myDG" dataProvider="{myDP}"
variableRowHeight="true"
editable="true">
<mx:columns>
<mx:DataGridColumn dataField="label1" headerText="Product
Code" itemEditor="{ProductCodeEditor}"/>
<mx:DataGridColumn dataField="quantity"
headerText="Quantity"
editorDataField="value">
<mx:itemEditor>
<mx:Component>
<mx:NumericStepper stepSize="1" maximum="50"/>
</mx:Component>
</mx:itemEditor>
</mx:DataGridColumn>
</mx:columns>
</mx:DataGrid>
</mx:Application>
I get a complation error on the following line
quote:
<mx:Component id="ProductCodeEditor">
-->> <mx:ComboBox
dataProvider="{ProductsRequest.lastResult.products.product}"
labelField="name"/>
</mx:Component>
The error message is "Access of undefined property
ProductsRequest"
However, the other <mx:ComboBox> definition compiles
and works fine. In
other words, in the sample code (shown again below) we have
two <mx:ComboBox>
definitions with the same dataProvider definition. The one on
line 33 compiles
and works, the other doesn't, and the only difference is that
one of them is
within a <mx:Component> declaration.
quote:
27 <mx:HTTPService id="ProductsRequest"
url="
http://localhost:3000/lists/productlist"
useProxy="false"/>
28
29 <mx:Component id="ProductCodeEditor">
30 <mx:ComboBox
dataProvider="{ProductsRequest.lastResult.products.product}"
labelField="name"/>
31 </mx:Component>
32
33 <mx:ComboBox
dataProvider="{ProductsRequest.lastResult.products.product}"
labelField="name"></mx:ComboBox>
I really can't believe that this behaviour is by design. If
it is, could
somebody tell me what this design is, and how I am supposed
to populate a
combobox with product codes in a grid?
Thanks,
Ed.

Sorry, I see you are trying to do that. I am not yet familiar
with inline renderers.
However, I suspect a scope issue. I bet the renderer
component does not have access to the application scope, where the
dataService is declared.
