Compiler Error - No Fix With Trashing Pref's.

I'm attempting burn a project originally authored in DVDSP 3 through DVDSP 4 - however I get the infamous "Compiler File Error" immediately after initiating burn.
Reviewed previous posts about trashing Prefs, Repaing Permissions and trashing the PAR files associated with the project with no luck.
This is a HUGE gig - so any advice is much appreciated in advance.

Can you give any more info about this - what does the log say for DVDSP? What was it compiling in the project before it gave the error?

  • Strange behavior in CS3 WinXP not fixed by trashing Prefs file

    My doc has many objects on multiple layers. 85% of the objects are strokeless filled objects, filled with only 5 different colors. A small number of the objects are not showing the correct fill color when placed over other objects. They show the correct color when moved. All layers are "normal" transparency, 100% opacity.
    Tried trashing prefs file but that didn't help. Any ideas?

    They are probably set to over print which is an object setting that stays with the file. However you should only be able to see the effet if you have Overprint Preview on and trashing the preferences should setyou back to the default of not having Overprint Preview on.

  • Compile error in flex with FlvPlayBack

    Hi all,
    First of all I should mention that i'm working under linux.
    I've installed flex plugin 3 alpha 4 for eclipse, with an ecliplse 3.3.0.
    I've decided to be in the "best environement" possible and do not force the installation as needed on higher versions.
    Firsts compilation, hello word, textbox, backgrounds...etc.. run correctly... stimulant !
    So I start my real stuff : working with FlvPlayback.
    I choose this component because I have to work with cue points and I prefer not to start with a full extend of video classes to implement it.
    I've installed the 2.5 component released for linux as mentionned in the productivity tool download page.
    Adding the swc to my projet librairie build path and wow : now I can acceed to fl.* classes with import classes completion... sounds good !!!
    However when I tried to compile a simple code ( player with 1 flv ) it rise an error :
    1046 : Type not found or not a compilation constant : NetStreamPlayOptions.
    I've browsed the web frantically for hours....
    What i've understood is that this class is part of Player2 implementation that come in runtime player10.
    According to http://opensource.adobe.com/wiki/display/flexsdk/Targeting+Flash+Player+10?showComments=fa lse
    i have to got /frameworks/libs/player/10/playerglobal.swc and force eclipse to use it.
    But that's not in the SDK...
    All what adobe propose as download is the libflashplayer.so.
    Does anyone had encountered this issue ?
    As the download page explicitly explain the the component is working on linux there should be a fix somewhere, does anybody know ?
    Thxs for you help...

    Hi,
    Can you please make sure you have Flex 3.2 or higher SDK and then target to Flash Player 10. I have this working on my system and yes, i got the same error when my SDK was below 3.2 and not targeted to Flash Player 10.
    Hope this helps.

  • Compiling error ORA-00600 with Forms 6 and Database 10g

    Hi,
    I am using "Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.1.0.4.0" and "Forms [32 Bit] Version 6.0.8.26.0 " with patch 17, when i compile a form that works with some tables in another database under dblink the error ORA-00600:internal error code, arguments:[16203],[],[],[],[],[],[],[] is displayed.
    If i word with reports or sqlplus no error is displayed.
    Before we installed 10g everything worked ok
    What is wrong with forms or do i need to configure something else?

    I searched for this error on Google and found the following blog:
    Is there a tool to troubleshoot ORA-00600 and ORA-07445 errors?
    February 27th, 2006 By Fahd Mirza
    ORA-00600 and ORA-07445 errors are the most esoteric errors in Oracle.
    There is a tool called “ORA-600/ORA-7445 Troubleshooter” available at Metalink. It asks for the first argument of ORA-600 error with an optional database version number.
    For example, to see the description of the error:
    ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [723], [25908], [25908], [memory leak]
    You enter 723 in the “ORA-600 First Argument” field. The first argument is a pointer to where in the code the error was caught and thus is the key information in identifying the problem.
    You can also embed (copy/paste) the “Call Stack Trace” there, and, when you click on the “Search Call Stack” button an advanced MetaLink search is performed to find documents containing relevant sections from the call stack.
    Call Stack extracts from the following files are supported:
    * Generic foreground and background server trace files located in background_dump_dest and user_dump_dest
    * OpenVMS NETV2 and BEQ log files located in ORA_ROOT:[NETWORK.LOG]
    * WINDOWS CORE.LOG files
    * GDB (debugger) backtrace call stacks (best endeavors)
    Of course you will need a login to Oracle's Metalink site.
    Hope that helps,
    c

  • Error code 1054: compiling error on examples with the 5640R

    Hi,
    I'm trying to use the 5640R to analyze the I and Q outputs of a set of downconversion mixers. I found that I might be able to slightly modify some of the examples that came with driver 1.3. However, when I tried to compile the FPGA part of the "ni5640R Analog Input and Output" example (before I made any modifications), I get a Code Generation Error 1054 (Cut and pasted below)
     Error 1054 occurred at nirviUIDToObject.vi
    Possible reason(s):

    The code goes on for pages and pages.  When I use the pre-compiled "NI5640R Analog Input and Output (FPGA)" module that came with the driver, I seem to have no problems. Could anybody please shed some light on the issue?
    Thank.

    Hi, I just wanted to report that I seem to have solved the problem. The issue was that while Labview was recently updated to version 8.6.1, the Labview FPGA module stayed at version 8.6. I found information leading to the solution through these two posts:

  • "Proxy server is refusing connections" error message, fixed with Network Settings but won't save my preferences. Have tried everything!

    I always have to go

    I read the "Preferences Not Saved" Help but I don't have a User file in my Containing Folder, so I couldn't change that.
    Deleted my prefs.js files, but when it automatically made a new one it was still stuck on "Manual Proxy Settings" which leads to the "Proxy server is refusing connections" error.

    Hello,
    I know that several 'compiler errors' were fixed in the LabVIEW 6.0.2 update. You can download this update from the NI website. After installing the update I recommend you perform a mass compile of your VIs. You can learn more about mass compiling in the LabVIEW on-line help.
    If after mass compiling in LabVIEW 6.0.2 you are still having problems, please let me know...if possible, please attach a simple VI that demonstrates the problem.
    Have a pleasant day.

  • "catch is unreachable" compiler error with java try/catch statement

    I'm receiving a compiler error, "catch is unreachable", with the following code. I'm calling a method, SendMail(), which can throw two possible exceptions. I thought that the catch statements executed in order, and the first one that is caught will execute? Is their a change with J2SE 1.5 compiler? I don't want to use a generic Exception, because I want to handle the specific exceptions. Any suggestions how to fix? Thanks
    try {
    SendMail(....);

    I found the problem:
    "A catch block handles exceptions that match its exception type (parameter) and exception types that are subclasses of its exception type (parameter). Only the first catch block that handles a particular exception type will execute, so the most specific exception type should come first. You may get a catch is unreachable syntax error if your catch blocks do not follow this order."
    If I switch the order of the catch exceptions the compiler error goes away.

    thanks in advance for your help

    BOOST cannot be compiled with WS6u2.
    The oldest compiler that can build BOOST is Sun Studio 11 (C++ 5.8).
    You will have better luck with Sun Studio 12 (C++ 5.9). Both Studio 11 and Studio 12 are free.
    Get Sun Studio 12 here:
    [http://developers.sun.com/sunstudio/]
    Sun Studio 12 requires Solaris 9, 10, or Open Solaris.
    If you are running Solaris 8, get Sun Studio 11 instead:
    [http://developers.sun.com/sunstudio/products/previous/11/index.jsp]
    After installing the appropriate version of Sun Studio, get all current patches for it here:
    [http://developers.sun.com/sunstudio/downloads/patches/index.jsp]
    Then check Simon's blog for advice on building BOOST with Sun Studio 11 or 12.

  • What's with "Invalid Embed directive in stylesheet - can't resolve source" compile errors

    Hi
    Quite often I notice that I get lots compile errors like "Invalid Embed directive in stylesheet - can't resolve source 'Embed("assets/icons/cancelOnWhite_12x12.png")'. line 165 application.css"
    ONLY when there are other compile errors. As soon as I fix these other errors, all "Invalid Embed directive" errors disappear.
    Obviously these errors should never show in the first place, and I wonder if this is a known problem with an existing bug report?

    No. Will keep you posted if I get anything.
    I also want to clarify one thing: Design view reports embed errors as well. If you are seeing an error from design view, you should be able to see the "problem" go away and come back when you hit refresh in Design view.
    Can you confirm if this is that? If that is so, we've taken care of it in the upcoming release.

  • Fixing the "compile error in hidden module: DistMon"

    Our computer images are WinXP SP2, with Office XP SP3. Some people have Acrobat 8.12 Pro installed, and 2 of them were getting the above error.
    I found some help in the forums about exporting a registry key, etc. On the 1st person, I did all of that and the error was still there. I went into the VBE and saw a PDFMaker.xla module that could not be deleted. So I went to %user profile%\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART\ and deleted the PDFMaker.xla. No more error.
    I tested on the 2nd person by just deleting that file, and no more error. They still have the Acrobat toolbar, so it didn't disable that.
    I wanted to share this easy fix in case it works for anyone else.

    re: Install error PDFX1aSet_PSR_ gravure
    Greetings,
    My installation of Acrobat Pro 6.0 hangs when it can't find the file PDFX1aSet_PSR_ gravure.pdf. Any ideas about how to fix?
    Context clues:
    - Acrobat was running fine (as would have the install CD, I believe) until I removed Acrobat due to an unrelated issue using the Windows Install Cleanup program.
    - I've uninstalled and reinstalled Reader 8.0; no effect
    - The error is also temporally related to getting the following error when opening and closing Excel: "..compile error.. autoexecnew," then "distmon," respectively. I attempted this solution, but failed:
    http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx/.3bc307c7
    http://support.microsoft.com/?id=307410
    - I've uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2003; run repair w/in Excel; no effect
    - In Internet Explorer, I can open a PDF successfully, but the following error also appears: "One or more Adobe PDF extensions are disabled. This may impact how PDFs are displayed... enable add-ons [in IE]." However, all the Adobe add-ons are already enabled in IE.
    Thanks very much for your ideas.

  • Compiler Error with simple vi using MatLab script nodes

    While attempting to build a simple vi to test the capabilities of LabView's interface with MatLab, I received a compiler error message that said I should report the problem to National Instruments Tech Support. The error said, "reference to undefined label from: refPC=0x41C." I've attached the vi that created the error. I am using LabView 7.0 on a PC running Windows 98.

    I don't know if this will help your problem, but there is a fix for some problems with LabVIEW 7.0 and Matlab:

  • Please help with compiling error

    Hello, I am currently taking a class in Java Programming and need help with an error. I am working on a Mortgage Calculator and when I compile the code I get this error. I have no idea how to fix this. Can anyone help? Thank you.
    '{' expected public class MortgageCalculator
    1 error
    Tool completed with exit code 1
    Here is my code
    import java.io.*;//*java input output
    import java.util.Date;//Date Utility
    import java.util.Formatter;//format Utility
    import java.text.NumberFormat;//*format numbers
    //class MortgageCalculator
    public class MortgageCalculator
    public static void main(String[]args);{
    Date currentDate=newDate();
    DecimalFormat decimalPlaces=newDecimalFormat("0.00");
    //declare Variables
    final double principalBalance=200000;//*$200,000 Loan
    final double monthlyInterest=.06;//*6% interest rate
    final double Term=12*30;//*monthly interest rate
    final double monthlyInterest=((principalBalance*(monthlyInterest/12))/(1-Math.pow(1+(monthlyInterest/12))-(Term)));
    //Display Output
    System.out.println("\t\t" + currentDate);
    System.out.println("\t\tLoan Amount" + principalBalance);
    System.out.println("\t\tInterest Rate" + monthlyInterest);
    System.out.println("\t\tTerm of Loan" + Term);
    System.out.println("\t\tThe Payment will be:" + monthlyInterest);
    System.out.println(decimalPlaces.format(mothlyInterest));
    }

    You need to enclose your class body in { }. You're missing at least one of them
