COMPILER QUESTION Do I have to start over again?

I've got large project compiling in DSP3. If compiler stops because of an error that I need to fix, do I have to start compiling from the beginning again after I fix the error. I am hoping there is a way for compiler to pickup from where it left.
Again this is DSP3, any ideas? THANKS!

You may be prompted to reuse a previous build if it is in a state where DVDSP can make use of it, however it is often best simply to start again. This ensures that there are no glitches carried over from build to build... but then again I am now a tad paranoid about all that stuff, having been bitten by it more than once

Has anyone had problems signing on Mac Pro with the new Maverick system. I seem to starting typing my name and after about five letters I lose the first three which screws up the sign on and I have to start over. Any ideas on a cure?

I am having trouble with my sign in with the new Maverick system. I type 4 or 5 letters of my name and three disappear and I have to start over. It does it all the time and even when my wife signs in with her name and password. Anyone know a cure. Dave

OS X: Changing or resetting an account password < instructions are for Lion and Mountain Lion but should work on Mavericks.

I HAVE A USER ID, A SYNC KEY BUT NO WORKING PASSWORD ; CAN I CANCEL THIS ATTEMPT AND START OVER again.

i followed all the directions e ,mailed to me ,but when i tried to sync my iphone the error message said incorrect password. I then asked for a second set of instructions and redoubled my efforts and still no sucess i tried to reset tghe password but I don't have a sync tab setup under firefox/tools/options. If allowed to cancel the sync key and start over again knowing the pitfalls I have encountered I would be succeswful. i THINK FIREFox is the best system I enjoy using it every day. thankyou

On the iPad tap Settings > iCloud
Toggle Documents & Data off then back on then restart your iPad.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button down until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
On the iMac open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to Documents & Data then reselect it then restart your iMac.

How do I speed this up. I have a fast internet connection but this is obviously not right.
The speed of the downlaod is dependant on the speed of your Internet connection. "I have a fast Internet connection...," doesn't actually mean anything unless you provide some numbers.
I have a cable Internet connection with 32 Mbps download speeds, but if you have DSL, you would probably be limited to 1.5 Mbps. Some would call both of these connections "fast," but obviously one is faster than the other.
What is the speed of your Internet connection?? Don't say, "fast."

Hard drive crashed, catalog is ok (other drive). I've renamed/taged/noted 20 000 photos in that month! Do I have to start over?

I've done so much work in that last month. Can I use my "up to date" catalog to make Lightroom "reorganize" my files?
If not I will have to use my old catalog and my old files directory...to start over!

Hi! Nope, Catalog is up to date. I've lost all photos since my reorganisation/renaming/tagging i've done in lightroom. My backup of those files is one month old.
So I still have my "old" files and old catalog is also availlable so I could start over again but i'ts a lot of time/work...But can I use my new Catalog to recover?

ebooks is a term for (mainly) textual books that can be read on screen. If you're listening then I think you mean audiobooks. See audiobooks on iPods. Either reorganize as single files or access via a playlist.

Ok, Tom, I completed the first three steps and everything went fine. However, I still don't have a timeline, AND above is a screenprint of my timeline and what I presume is meant by the PROJECT. There is no project. Now, I can go up to the Event window and Export XML, but it doesn't give me a usable file. So, first, am I correct re: terminology - the timeline/bottom section is also known as the project folder/manager??
I've been reading other users strings as well and have tried their tricks as well. For instance, Eric Martin re: his deleting preference files (6/6), and Norman Jayo's (4/25) lengthy discourse with the "here is the work around" w/ 7 steps. Again, he mentions closing the PROJECT that is corrupted. I'm not sure that mine is corrupt as I can play and see my 15-minute audio/view in the view module (upper right).

When my Bluetooth disconnects during a file transfer where is all the data? why do i have to start over?

while transfering a large video file from my phone to my imac i lost the bluetooth connection so where is all the data that was already transfered and how do i delete it?
can i pick up where it left off? if not why is it that i have to start over?
also it would be nice if the imac warned me of the file transfer when i try to put the computer to sleep. i put it to sleep out of habit right in the middle of a 3 hour transfer.

The files listed are: cookies.sqlite cookies.sqlite.bak cookies.sqlite.bak-rebuild. I tried deleting the cookies.sqlite file but I think the cookies.sqlite.bak-rebuild rebuilds it. In any case when I reopened firefox It was the same I still have to sign in all the time.

Forgot to deinterlace video in MPEG Streamclip -- do I have to start over?

I realize this is the FCE forum and I used iMovie, but I thought maybe some of you more advanced users could help me.
I have a Panasonic SDR-H18 which records in MPEG-2 format. During my first foray into using iMovie and MPEG Streamclip, I made a rather long movie but didn't realize I had to check the "Deinterlace video" option in Streamclip.
As a result, I now have a finished iMovie movie which I really like, but the results of failing to deinterlace are horribly noticeable when the DVD is played on a TV.
I'm just wondering, short of starting from scratch -- converting all the virgin clips and deinterlacing this time -- and doing it all over again, do I have another solution? Is anyone aware of a way I could somehow run my finished movie through Streamclip and deinterlace it, so I wouldn't have to start over?

I'm not sure what specifications you mean -- I just left the settings the way they were in the convert to DV menu.
That said -- the fact is, the interlacing lines are there, and I'm wondering if there's a way to get rid of them on a project I've already finished. I already know how to prevent them in the future.

Airplay movie stops and start over again

I have problem with AirPlay while watching play-channels from my iPad. After a while the program just starts over again. What can I do to fix this?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment.

IPhone 4 apps not updating that require wifi. They get only so far and then start over again. Now they won't even attempt to update. Given the 'done' or 'retry' option and they're still unusable. I've tried logging out of app store, rebooting, and reset.

In-store helper had me double click home and clear out all opened apps and that worked then , but not now.

One last thing... On itunes, when i click 'info' on apps that are said to be under my friends account (ie they will only update when he is logged in), it says that i purchased them under my account, yet it won't let me update them.

Request starting over again

After doing a request on some of mye portal pages the page starts to render, but then suddenly the partitially rendered content is discarded and the request starts over again. This can happen up to 3 times for a page.
This happens only on our portal servers running on windows, I haven't seen this behaviour on linux.
When the response is discarded the rendered content shows some visible html code on the page (due to unclosed tags since the response is cut off), before the request starts over again.
Could this be a configuration issue with the PPE?

I have had similar problems (book layouts and photo orientations lost). They are very hard to understand. A book can be correct on one computer, but if you export the project and import it to another computer, book info is gone. This has been a great time waster - fortunately, I have been able to retrieve some of what I lost from my daily and weekly backups. I hope that the cause of these problems can be tracked down and eliminated in a future update.
Aperture has improved a lot since 1.0, but it has some weaknesses that some might think preclude it's use as a "pro" application.

Is there a way to delete iTunes and start over again?
mine is screwed up and I'd like to start over. I have a larger library (106GB) and I moved the files to a new external drive and while iTunes can find the files, it is double coping them.

Put the Install DVD for that Mac, the one that is part of the Mac, into the optical drive.
Start up Disk Utitity and erase the drive.
Install OS X.
Don't forget to include the Install DVD with the Mac. It is the license for OS X on that Mac.
