Compiling java classes into dll

Hi,
Just trying to find out is there anyway I can compile the java classes into dll?
If I am to use JNI and C++, will the dll compiled be able to work well in a platform that does not have JVM?
Thank you.

Hi,
Just trying to find out is there anyway I can
an compile the java classes into dll?
No, but you can start the jvm and run your main class from a dll using jni. And, if you do that, you'll of course need a JVM on the client that'll be running your code.

  • Implement Java Class into Report Builder

    Hi, I have problems implementing own java classes into the Report Builder. OK, let say I am running a simple report using STUDENT_ID and STUDENT_NAME. What I wanted to do is to concatenate a string "XXXX" to one of the records in STUDENT_NAME (e.g. STUDENT_NAME = 'Mary').
    The Java class that I wrote has a static method:
    public class MyAppend
    public static String myMethod(String s)
         s = s +"XXXX";
         return s;
    I also wrote a Formula Column in Report Builder called "TestFormula":
    function TestFormula return varChar2 is
         StuName     varchar2(40);
         myStr     varchar2(40);
    begin
    select STUMST.STU_NAME
    into StuName
    from STUMST
    where STUMST.STU_NAME= 'Mary';
    ->myStr := myappend.myMethod(myPackage.aobj, StuName);
    return myStr;
    end;
    The error message I get when I compile this Formula Column PL/SQL is (with '->' pointing to the line):
    Wrong number or types of arguments in call to 'MYMETHOD'
    How do I correct this error?
    Thank you.

    Thanks Navneet. Actually I am new to PL/SQL programming. I have another problem here. I would like to list all the records of the STUDENT_NAME. How would I go about it using PL/SQL? This is the Formula Column I have written but it only shows me 1 record:
    function TestFormula return varChar2 is
    StuName     varchar2(40);
    cursor c1 is
    select all stumst.stu_name
    from stumst;
    begin
         LOOP
         open c1;
         fetch c1 into stuName;
         stuName := myappend.myMethod(stuname);
         return stuName;
         EXIT WHEN c1%NOTFOUND;
    end loop;
    end;
    By the way, can you please give me any useful sites for reference to the PL/SQL?
    Thank you.

  • Dynamically Create and Compile Java Classes

    Hi,
    I have a requirement to dynamically create and compile Java classes and would like some advice on the best method to do so.
    Basically the project I am working on involves creating "Factors". Factors are items that have both attributes and weights so for example Factor A could have attribute B with weight 0.76, and attribute C with weight 1.33. There are a number of methods common to all factors such as calculateTotal, identify etc etc.
    At the moment the application has 5 factors, but there is a requirement to dynamically add and remove factors on the fly.
    I current solution I have been considering is using XML to describe the new class, build up the class and compile it; something along the lines of what is descibed at
    http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/jw-02-2002/jw-0201-xslt_p.html
    however i would like to consider all options.
    Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

    You want to dynamically create and compile Java classes.
    I would try the following:
    (1) Write the Source code of the new class into a text file with the name MyNewClass.java
    (2) compile this new .java-file with Runtime r = getRuntime();
    try {
        r.exec ("javac MyNewClass.java");
    } catch (IOException e) {
        System.out.println("ooops " + e.getMessage());
    } (3) somehow try to load that new class, maybe using ClassLoader cl = ClassLoader.getSystemClassLoader();
    cl.loadClass("MyNewClass");

    please help me!
    thanks

    If you understand the OO concepts and wrote the Java class right, then all you need to do is something like:YourJavaClass yourJavaClass = new YourJavaClass();
    yourJavaClass.doSomething();After all I rather recommend to use servlets for business logic instead of JSP (read: scriptlets).

    resolved this issue.
    1. Edit $APPL_TOP/admin/adovars.env file -
    Add the following jar files to the AF_CLASSPATH line -
    Full path of /...../iAS/Apache/Jsdk/lib/jsdk.jar
    Full path of /...../iAS/Apache/Jserv/libexec/ApacheJServ.jar
    2. Bounce the concurrent manager in order to have the changes take effect.

  • Ignore some fields while saving a Java class into XML

    Hi!
    I've seen in this forum that there is an easy way of saving Java classes to XML files using Castor. I want to save some Java classes into XML, but not all the fields of the class. For example, I want to ignore all lists. Is there any easy way to do something like this:
    class Java2XML{
              public static void makeXML(Object object)
                        for all fields in object
                                  if field extends List, ignore
                                  else, include field in XML
    }Thanks in advance!

    You can add a managed bean by:
    - manually adding a definition in the faces config source tab.
    - creating a bean in the overview tab of the faces-config editor.
    So yes, you can edit the faces-config manually.
    I hope this answer your question,

  • Ant or what tool to compile Java Classes

    For the past year I have been using Windows command window to compile Java Classes for my Servlets, Java Beans and Helper classes. I use Cold Fusion studio as my IDE for creating the Java classes. All of my Web Applications use MVC for Forms feeding small databases and I only have around 7 to 10 class files per Web application.
    Should I start to use Ant and/or what is recommended so I can keep up with current technology instead of using Windows Command Window to compile my Java classes?

    Try the following link.

    The download in the above link has NWDS and portal as well. Unzip the file and install NWDS studio.

  • Changing Java class into Java Bean

    Can anybody tell me how to change a Java class into simple Java Bean.I dont need any visual interface of Java Bean.I simply want to turn my Java class into Java Bean.

    You can use almost any class as a java bean.
    To be a bean it must
    1 - Have a constructor which takes no arguments (so it can be instantiated)
    2 - For properties/attributes which you want to have readable/writable, provide get / set methods of the appropriate type.
    Thats it.

  • C++ functions --- Java classes ---- C++ DLL

    Hi java programmers,
    It's been two weeks that I'm searching response to this problem :
    I hava some code written in c and java, here's the structure :
    Partner program c++ main function <---> MyProgram : ( C++ functions <---communicate/JNI---> Java classes <---communicate/JNI---> C++ DLL )
    I must give this program to a partner,who will communicate with it through a c++ main function. So can I convert my c++ functions and my java classes to DLLs and make the all program runs. Or may I package all the program, but I don't know how to do it, and I don't find any docs. Does anyone have an idea, thanks in advance.
    Any help would be appreciated,
    Best regards

    Hi Schell,
    The sockets would be pretty difficult to handle I guess. Not hard at all.
    The size of data types vary in C++ and
    Java not to speak of endians. Which is only a problem if you try to shove data down a socket rather than messages.
    A socket based
    implementation would also have to handle the
    marshalling and unmarshalling which would be a huge
    premium. Not at all.
    Looks like this application might use some
    CORBA implementation where the middleware handles the
    messaging part between C++ and Java. JNI would let
    the Java application call C++ code through DLLs which
    is not what the owner of the post likes to do.
    Choices are open take your best shot.
    And what do you think happens when java calls a native method?

I want to run this server app on the client server and the basic thing with this site is that it is running on .net platform(Microsoft). and the other app ll running on the client machine or end user. Now the problem is that this site would run only if the server app ll be run on server. This server app ll open the socket of server, which ll listen the request of the user...... • Compiling java classes from JDeveloper

    Hi guys... perhaps this thred need to be created in JDeveloper fourm, it so please let me know.
    I generated the classes from a web service which complie without errors and exedcute correctly. When trying to compile the main stub in Oracle database, I get an error "CONNOT RESOLVE SYMBOL" reviewing the java class, I see that extends the wrapper generated by Jdev. So I try to complie the extendable class, after trying to generate and compile it in the database, I get the error: "class$ is reserved for internal use" The code has the next line:
    static java.lang.Class class$(java.lang.String param1)
    Is this error launched from the oracle database? My guess is that maybe Im missing some library or something and thats why I can create the such Java Name procedures. But I will like if anyone could guide me through this exception.
    Thanks

    Do you have .jar (or the .class) files created after the compile from JDeveloper?
    If you do, you can load all of them using the command line utility loadjava:
    $ loadjava
    loadjava: Usage: loadjava [-definer] [-encoding encoding] [-force] [-genmissing] [-genmissingjar jar] [-grant grants] [-help] [-nousage] [-noverify] [-oci8] [-order] [-resolve] [-resolver resolver] [-schema schema] [-synonym] [-thin] [-tableschema schema] [-user user/password@database] [-verbose] classes..jars..resources..properties...
