Compiz-git and other friends on Arch64

Mmm, the new compiz-git packages work fantastically well on my Arch64 installation, it all seems much smaller than my last svn cut of beryl.
Worth doing if you're interested in such things, was a painless abs installation. (One caveat, I had to add arch=('i686' 'x86_64') to the PKGBUILD of the compiz-git aur package).

Err, I *think * the configuration dependencies are now on ccs/bcop [or something] for doing the configuration of compiz, at least as far as I could tell there's now an /option/ as to whether you use gconf or somethign else to configure compiz, I'm not sure if there are other dependencies ?
Beryl's stopped anyhow ,they're re-merging back into compiz, (www.opencompositing.org) so long term I guess you'll have to swap

On the iPhone and iPad you can "turn off" the Apple ID in Settings > Messages > Received At (and possibly) > Caller ID.
iOS 6 will delete the email/Apple ID across all devices (you get a warning) but presumably Messages is either left alone on the Mac or you add the ID back in again.
AS has been said you can then set up each device with it's own Apple ID

Hello. Both me and my friend has got an iPhone. We both have the newest version of iOS7. We both have iMessage turned on and it works for both of us while we want to chat with other iPhone/iPad/iPod friends. But... when we want to send each other an iMessage... it doesn't work. Let's say my friend's contact name is "D" so i go to Messages -> New Message and in the recipient field i write D. I can choose her number and if it was iMessage "D" would obviously turn in blue like it does. But no, it turnes green and forces me to send normal SMS as if she didn't have an Apple device. Please help, klejbroda.

Make sure the send address you are using for the friend (and vice versa) are actually one of those you have set for iMessage.

Little hard to understand what you are asking. Let me guess that this not an Iphone4S issue. Its a problem with your service provider. Contact them.

No web site expert here but I would suggest changing the .m4v to .mp4 and ask one of those friends if they still have problems. .m4v is something I always associate with iTunes and don't really see it used elsewhere.

The difference is clearly stated on the technical specifications page for the iPhone, something you are just as capable of looking at as anyone else here.

I would be concerned too if I was not able to send or recieve messages from a specific person.
I recommend reviewing the following article to troubleshoot issues with sending messages. I also recommend that your friend follow the same steps on her iPod:

They hacked it and may have caused damage to your device. Jailbreaking also voids your warranty and support from Apple. To restore to a clean state, restore in Recovery Mode: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

There is an international warranty on the Mac, but not on the iPhone...iPhone warranties are tied to the country of purchase. Iphone 5s are currently only available in the US tied to a carrier, you cannot use another nano-sim card in them.

Contact your "friend." Have him set up the MBP for your with your own account, settings and passwords. You are not running IOS 5.1. That is for iPhone and iPad users. What OS are you running? Did he give you the OS installer disks?

Compiz-git without xgl nor aiglx

Hi!,
does anyone knows how to (or if it's possible) run compiz-git without xgl nor aiglx? (using the new nvidia drivers), I know this is possible with beryl, but compiz-git won't run ok if xgl isn't loaded, it will show only a black screen with some white rectangles where the windows are supposed to be.
I love compiz-git, please help me

Save this bash script to a file like "startnv", chmod it to 755 and start your X session with "startnv 0"
For me, it doesnt work well, I get choppy windows and strange errors but at least its an easy way to get direct rendering working.
I dont know you guys but I cant run both Doom III and Quake 3 at the same time looking perfectly with compiz running on Xgl, but I can do it with Nvidia beta drivers now -although as I said, I have lot of windows bugs...
I wish someone could explain us more about using compiz-git --not beryl-- WITH OUT Xgl

My MBP mid2010 and my friend's MBP mid2011 SD card reader stopped working after upgrading to Mountain Lion. Please help

Prior to Mountain lion upgrade we were running OS X Lion and everything was working fine. we upgraded to Mountain Lion and didnt notice the issue until a couple of months when we tried using the SD card reader to import pictures. i rolled back to snow leopard recently to wipe clean my hard disk and the SD card started working again but after updating to mountain lion the same issue occurs. need help thanks!
