Complaint re length of time to be reconnected

I waited 12 days to get back online and 2 weeks to go back on my original number. Do you think I could claim for compensation? How do I go about it

BT's claim for compensation is a days line rental per day that you were without the line. I think that works out at less than 50 pence per day.

  • Exporting a playlist and displaying song length of time

I tried exporting a song list as a text file from iTunes and opened it up in Excel. The format for length of time of a song is altered. Rather than displayed as 2:30 for example it gives you a series of numbers. It looks as if it gives you the number of seconds that the song lasts. I tried writing a formula for dividing the number by 60 but then it is expressed as a decimal. Any ideas on how to preserve the minutes:seconds format? Is this an Excel question or is there another way to do this?

    hi Lawrence!
Any ideas on how to preserve the minutes:seconds format? Is this an Excel question or is there another way to do this?
would you believe that someone else has actually experimented with this?
I once tried to build a "data picking" spreadsheet that would automatically interrogate an exported song list to automatically produce something that looked like the "text" theme of an itunes CD Jewel case print.
(kluge kluge ... i was teaching myself excel as i went along) this sort of worked. my imported songlists would land the time column in H, so i interrogated that column with (on row 2)
    b =TIME(0,0,H2)
... and also applied the "m:ss" time format to the cells that that formula lived in.
darn sure there are more elegant ways of doing it ... fiddling with the custom formats would provide a better format for tracks which are more than an hour long, for example.
    love, b

  • How do I extend the length of time my iphone rings before voicemail cuts in? If I need to use a password, how do I access that on my iphone? I'm a new user.

HELP!! My voicemail cuts in after just 15 seconds of ringing, which is rarely long enough for me to answer it. How do I increase the length of time it rings? Can I choose not to have voicemail at all, so my phone can just continue ringing until I answer?
If I need to enter a voicemail password or key, can you tell me step by step because I can't see how to do anything except retrieve and delete voicemail msgs. I'm on O2-UK, if that makes any difference at all. Thank you

If my response has been either helpful or correct, could you indicate that marking which it is in order that others searching for a similar solution can find find this easily.
FYI, it's considered bad forum etiquette to ask for points.

  • What is the default length of time that a deleted email will be retained in the email trash before automatically deleting it? How do I change that default? I follow the instructions in the manual, but when there is no "advanced" to click on.

What is the length of time that an email will be held in the email trash after being deleted? Also how do I change this default? I follow the instructions in the manual until it says to click on something called "advanced." There is nothing like that on the screen so I am stuck.

    Go to Settings > Mail
    Then tap on your account.
SCROLL DOWN TO ADVANCED and tap advanced.
Then look at Deleted Messages > Remove
Tap on Remove and select the amount of time you want.

  • How to disconnect internet connection in Time Capsule and reconnect without restarting the whole device?

Hi, I would be very grateful if someone could tell me how to disconnect internet connection in Time Capsule and reconnect without restarting the whole device?
The thing is that as I have a dynamic IP address, everytime I restart the internet connection my IP address changes. I sometimes need it to change, so I need to restart the connection. I don't know another way to restart the connection than restarting the whole Time Capsule.
    Thanks!!
PD: the computer I use is Windows based, using the Airport Utility for Windows, but I also have a MacBook Pro I could use and an iPhone too.

The utility in windows is very like Mac so the screenshots are from Mac as I don't have windows available now.
How this works depends on the setup of the TC.. which you did not tell us.. you cannot change anything if you do not have the TC as the main router in the network.
So on the internet tab you need to share a public IP address.
On the next tab where you set IP address.
    Click the renew IP address.
It might work.. and it might not.. the problem is you are not disconnecting the network.. sometimes the hard disconnection is required before the address will renew..
What about unplugging the WAN port.. then click renew the IP which will fail.. then plug the wan back in again.
In the end it is easier and faster to power cycle the TC.

  • Length of time to complete book order

I have been "ordering" this book for more than 12 hours. Why is it taking so long for aperture to complete the order? When I try to quit aperture the message is that I cannot until the order is complete. This book is 23 pages. The screen stating that the order was 47% complete disappeared more than 10 hours ago. My message to aperture has not been answered.

It seems that the length of time it might take to complete the order will depend on a few things:
1.How many images there are and the format they are saved in (total size of all image files)
    2. You internet connection speed
The entire book has to be uploaded at full resolution before it is a complete process

CTRL + K or CMD + K brings up your comp settings, change the length of your composition setting there or right click, CTRL/CMD click on timeline and alter it directly

  • I want to snooze an event for a different length of time than the default. How do I select a different snooze length?

I just upgraded to Mountain Lion and I can't see how to snooze an event alert for other than the preset 15 minutes. How do I snooze events and other alerts for different lengths of time than the default? Sometimes I want to snooze an event until the start time or maybe for a whole day.

SnoozeMaster is now avaiable from the Mac App Store, for MacOS X 10.8 and up.
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/snoozemaster/id614955483?mt=12
It addresses this exact issue. You'll be able to configure different pre-set snooze times, enter custom snooze times when an alarm triggers, etc. It's what snoozing should've been from the get go.

No such setting exists on the iPod.  For home use, you may be able to configure your router so that wifi is only available for the iPod durng certain times of the day.

  • How to change the length of time calendar retains appointments

On my previous Blackberry running OS7, I was able to change the length of time the calendar kept appointments, but I can't find that setting on my Q10. I would like to be able to keep appointments on the calendar indefinitely. Thanks for any advice.

    Hello, metallifan15,
    Welcome to the discussions.
I think you are asking about the durations for subtitles. There is a maximum duration for titles, and that duration varies depending on which title you select. For just 'subtitle' it appears that the maximum duration is about 4secs20frames, 4:20. If you choose 'Stripe subtitle' the duration is about 8 seconds, 8:00.
If you want the durations to be longer, consider getting some of GeeThree's Slick volumes, some of whose titles can be placed for 30 seconds.

I had a repair done at the apple store where the replaced my hard drive and copied my other hard drive over to the new one.  Everything is fine except the time machine wont reconnect to my old file and is trying create a new file but not there is not enough space for both files files? Do I need to do something to have it continue to update my old file instead of recreating a new one?

Depending on what version of OSX you're running, and how the data was transferred, you may be out of luck.
If you're running Lion, and your backups were made to a directly-connected external HD (ie, not a Time Capsule or other network location), you may be able to get Time Machine to "associate" the new disk with the old backups.  See #B6 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting, especially the pink box there.
If you're running Snow Leopard, you might be able to do a full system restore of your backups to the new HD.  See Time Machine - Frequently Asked Question #14 for detailed instructions.  That should leave a "trail" that Time Machine can follow to "associate" the new drive with the old backups.  Unfortunately, that doesn't always work, and there's no way to do it manually, as there is with Lion.

  • How to write data to the DAQ for a specified length of time while still reading the input data?

    Hello,
I'm using labview 2012 and am trying to turn on a signal for a specified length of time in labview at the press of a button. The signal goes into an AO (PXI 6723) through my system, where the voltage gets divided by 2, the read in through the AI (PXI 6225). I want to write and read voltage constantly and then have a spike of voltage after pressing a button in LabView while still reading the voltage value for the specified amount of time.
    Parameters:
constant voltage of 1 volt to Analog output (reading and writing) seen through a waveform chart.
for 1 second, turn on 3 volts and see the response on the waveform chart.
My specified delay time does not match the elapsed time. I am having difficulties doing this. I have attached the VI.
( I can't upload a functional VI since it shows "the contents of the attachment doesn't match its file type") How can I attach the VI?.
    Thanks!
    Eduardo

    Mike,
Thank you for your reply! I greatly appreciate it. I currently don't have any DAQmx timing in my application. I tried using it and, without really understanding how it works nor how to manipulate it, the whole test end up taking a long time to change the values i.e. too slow.
The DAQmx timing I used was the sample clock since it was for analog signals, but I don't really understand the buffer, what that means nor how to use it. inputting a rate time for it also made my test slower. The rate time is the samples per channel per second, but I'm not sure how to determine a number so that I am collecting the data I need and take into account aliasing.
I know the PXI 6225 has the capability to read 250kS/s (which I am assuming it's kilosamples per second or 250,000 samples per second). I am using 32 differential channels. I have read that I have to divide the maximum sample rate by the number of channels, (250kS/s / channels) but I don't know if I should count the number of total channels (64) or differential channels(32). In other words, is the per-channel maximum rate:
250,000/32 = 7,812.5 samples per channel per second, or
250,000/64 =3,906.25 samples per channel per second
Furthermore, If I know the number of samples per channel per second, how can I implement that knowledge to the DAQmx sample clock so that my sampling is as fast and as accurate as it can be?
I attached an image of my DAQmx functions in my code, I merged all the stacked sequence structures in paint so you can see them.
    thanks for your help!
    Eduardo

A fully loaded one( keep in mind I have had fully loaded projects in the past, and it did not take this long) this was noticed after installing LP8, also major latencey even at 64 buffer size
