Complaint .. Comcast -- have several broadcast stations that are showing repeat, repeat shows for the last 2-3 years such as Murder She wrote, Hart to Hart, Golden Girls, I love lucy, Little house on the praise, Food Network, HGTV, and many more as well as QVC, HTC and so many other stations are repeating. Why should I pay $22 more? Comcast should FREEZE the prices until Comcast gets all new shows. Comcast does not respect Senior Citizens who has very limited income under $14,000. Comcast refuses to honor that to discount, they claims it can't be done because of promotion. I think it is unfair. I will write a letter to FCC soon.

It has been years since we have used Comcast services.Today we just had it reconnected. We were supposed to get the 105mbs service.It is supposed to be great for gaming and yadda yadda yadda.Well we haven't been able to use our service all day. We try to do some online gaming. NOPE!The connection wont stay connected. The service tech was HORRIBLE!He did not even run any testing to make the connection was ok. Well I guess now we know why! Airport extreme base station and mac mini

I heard so many good things about the airport base station and decided to replace my lynx router with it , but I have had considerable problems. First, I found the base station only has 2 ports, the assumption is that it will be connected to a pc and all the other computers will be wireless. The mac mini I have came with no wireless device although the g4 I have goes. I asked tec support if I could an airport express card to the mini and supprisingly they didn't recommend it. To get around the problem I purchased the airport express with i tunes, it was my understanding this device allowed you to connect any eihernet device to a wirless airport extreme connection. But , its not working. I seem to have entered the wrong settings into the pc side and the mac mini side appears to be unrecognized by the mac min software or the base station software on the pc. Neither of these products are in expensive and I wonder if I made a major mistake. The Lynx is much easier and I can always go back to that , but I really don't want to. I would appreciate any positive answers to this problem.

To get around the problem

The use the assistant to configure (from your existing wireless network) the Airport Express to join and extend your existing wireless network.
This will configure the AX as a WDS node, which enables the ethernet port.

How to export 8 mono audio track Quick Times for broadcast stations?

Hi, I work for a post house for Broadcast commercials. We are moving to a tapeless format for mastering and file delivery to stations and Extreme Reach. Is it possible to use premiere to export a single file with 8 mono tracks to support a 5.1 mix (Channels 1-6) and a stereo mix (7-8). We need the file to contain all 8 tracks of audio as mono single tracks.

Vonage, AirPort Extreme Base Station, and Comcast

I just picked up an Airport Extreme Base Station, and wanted to use it to get my MacBook Pro on my home network. However, I can't get it to actually provide an network connection to the MacBook. In the Network pane of System Preferences, under the Network Status, AirPort has a yellow icon, and the following message: "AirPort is connected to the network HulkNet. AirPort has a self-assigned IP address and may not be able to connect to the Internet."
Here's my current setup:
Comcast > Cable Modem > LinkSys RTP300 > PowerMac, PC, AEBS
I have the "Distribute IP addresses" disabled on the AirPort, and the internet for the PowerMac & the PC work fine. In the network status of the RTP300, the AEBS is listed as having an IP address of it's own.
Any gurus out there that can help me figure this out? I just want to be able to access my home network from anywhere in the house!

I have not changed my AEBS to "Off (Bridge Mode)" yet, because everything currently 'works' but I continue to get the occasional "Double NAT" warning suggesting I switch the AEBS to bridge mode. When this happens, I lose connection to the internet and need to unplugged both the AEBS and my modem to re-establish a connection to the internet and the external HD I have connected to the AEBS.
My question for Jmiller1138, do you continue to get the "Double NAT" warning even when you changed your AEBS to "Off (Bridge Mode)"? I am hesitant to change my AEBS to bridge mode since I'm assuming I'll need to totally reconfigure my entire network (meaning both the AirPort Extremes, my wireless HP printer, and my firewalls on my PCs).
The ignoring of the warning (i.e. closing the AirPort Utility without updating the AEBS) is what triggers the need to reset my AEBS and modem. Not fun.
I guess I'll just need to bite the bullet and set the AEBS to bridge mode . . . yes?

How can i use an airport base station and multiple airport expresses with U-verse and still use wireless tv boxes?

I just got uverse, and when I put my Airport Base Station in Bridge mode I lose access to the 4 airport express stations I have. Can anyone tell me how to turn off the u-verse wireless, set up a network with all the apple stations and still have wireless u-verse tv boxes work? Thanks!

Can I relocate the airport base station to downstairs and connect it to the Sawtooth there for receiving wireless from the Verizon router and broadcast further to its wireless network?
Sorry but no the AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS) will not wirelessly connect to the network provided by the Verizon FiOS router.
What you could do is get another AEBS, an AX, or a Time Capsule and place that downstairs. Then use that device to wirelessly connect to the wireless network provided by your current AEBS. If your current AEBS is not 802.11n capable then you would need to use WDS to make this happen. One bad thing about WDS is that each WDS link cuts your affective wireless bandwidth in half.

Bestbuy print out the document everything say is compatible with my vehicle. and then I make an Appointment on July 31, 2015, 01:00 PM 4 Hrs162 SANTILLI HWY EVERETT MA Confirmation Number: VRJF2718. it is the lady help me to install it. she say it take 4 to 5 hours to finish. I said I wait here at Bestbuy out there until finish installation. After more than 5 hours. I come in the Bestbuy mobile installation there. and the lady tell me my car is broke fuse link. The vehicle will not start. and also she said she did not touch anything. I ask why the fuse is broke if you did not touch anything. she said the fuse broke all the time. It is normal. My car less than 1400 miles. just like new. My all family use Toyota. 6 year never broke the engine fuse. She try to tell me the fuse link broke is not because the installation process. She try to tell is not her responsibility. She said already call Woburn Toyota repair on Monday. I m so worry about my car. I take the subway to Wellington station and walk to Bestbuy on the next day. and then she tell me the car has to tow to Woburn Toyota to repair. on August 4. I went to Bestbuy with my friends. We talk to the Geek Squad manager I think his name is Jason. He tell me the car can fix and pick up today about 1PM, I called Woburn Toyota and they tell me pick up my car. after pick up my car. I have to go back to Bestbuy finish the remaining installation because the viper already installed in my car. About 2:30PM. Tom said it take about 20 to 30 minutes to program the key. after Program the key. It has problem to start the engine. Sometime the engine start only a few seconds it shut it down. He don't know how to program the key, the key has the code has to match the car. Tom keep try and try to start the engine until the car battery is dead. and then use the jump starter to charge the battery. and keep try and try. I don't remember how many time he try to start the engine. it make me very scare. I ask Tom many time about the compatible. He said yes. about 6PM. I talk to the manager, I said do you think will tow my car again. He tell me to talk to Tom. I told Tom I have to use my car tomorrow for work. I paid to much for the cab. And then he take out the Vipers. Wednesday 4:40am in the morning. I drive for my job. I found out the automatic light is not on. it has other issue. Since latest update to airport extreme im getting 10 unknown base station and time capsule items showing in airport utility as a network. when able to "forget" them they initially drop off but soon return. how do i get them deleted and stay that way

I'm not convinced that the problem lies in Airport Utility. This same thing was happening to me, nearly exactly as you describe it. The thing is that with me, the problems clearly started when I updated the firmware in my Airport Express (n). That's when all the wacky stuff started happening. Sometimes it would show up in AU, sometimes it didn't and even if it didn't, I could still access the internet through it.
But as you said, the problems got really bad when another Express (b/g) was put on the network with it. Even when it did work, the (b/g) would make it impossibly slow.
You know more about this than me, and clearly have more patience if you've restarted the network fifty times. I gave up at about ten.
In any case, your solution is more of a work around and if you're still having that slow connection problem, I'm not sure you've got it. But thanks for your reporting of this. At least I know I'm not crazy.

Resetting the password you will need to do for each device... the utility cannot even see those old units.
So you will have to do it for each one.. think it through.. because as you change passwords the others will lose connection.. so start from the express which are wireless extending .. change those first.. and go back up the chain.. as each one changes it will drop off the network.. until you reach extreme and change that. Then you might need to reboot the whole network to get everything talking again. If something goes wrong.. just pluck that one out of the mix and plug in ethernet.. reset and redo the setup. That is my preferred method anyway.. do everything in isolation one by one. By ethernet and then nothing goes wrong.

You cannot partition a network disk. And apple provided no tools for it in the TC itself. You can pull the disk out and partition it but that voids your warranty. (although done with care who is to know).

Mixing TM and data on the TC is worth planning carefully. They don't necessarily sit happily together.

Skip Base station and just use AppleTV for WiFi?

I am currently using Airport base station extreme (6th edition) with the Apple TV 3rd edition. My question is,
I'm moving out and I wanted to split the two up. I would take the base station and leave the AppleTV for my roommate.
Is it possible to use the AppleTV to broadcast WiFi single and use it for channels if I plug the cable modem directly to the AppleTv?
Roommate will only be using the TV with an antenna for local channels and apple TV for netflix. They still want WiFi in the house though for internet.
What are my options?

If you want to use it (without a data plan) as a GPS, you'll need to purchase a navigation app that has built-in maps. Navigon is one, although I can't recommend it. Google for reviews of others.

Capture multiple radio stations and webcast t

I want to capture multiple local radio stations and then webcast them. Please elp me for the equipment that I will have to use. For a single channel, I can connect my radio to the line-in of my soundcard and then use it to webcast. But in case I want to webcast multiple radio signals at a time, how to go about it.
Please help me in this project.

first off, I'm almost certain you need the radios permission to directly webcast their show.
secondly, you will need one Line-in for each radio show, and since most computers starts acting wonky with more than one, computer per show would probably be the easiest solution.
