Complete Calendar syncing from Outlook 2003 to Treo 750

Hi -
I am using a Treo 750, Outlook 2003, and Active Sync 4.5.0 with Windows XP, SP3.
Outlook's Calendar shows information from ~1997 to the present, but when I sync'ed my Treo 750 only the Calendar items from approximately when I first connected my Treo were copied to my Treo's Calendar. None of the older items were copied to the Treo Calendar.
How can I get these older items into my Treo Calendar?
Thanks - John

Hi. Welcome to the Palm forums.  If I am understanding this correctly your calendar syncs successfully however,  you have very little history syncing to your device.  First, sync your device so you are synchronized and connected (if not the next step will not be available).  Then, on the computer in active sync go to tools-options and you will see a list of the items you can sync.  Select your calendar and you should then have a settings option.  The default is to sync the last 2 weeks of history, adjust that to your preference and then resync and you should be fine.

When syncing Contacts or Calendars between an iPhone, iPad, or an iPod touch and Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007, or Outlook 2010, changes that you synced to your computer may not appear in Outlook even after the sync has been completed.Try this article to see if it works for you

  • Cannot sync Calendar items from outlook to PDA

Hi I am using Active sync via exchange to sync wirelessly. My devices are Palm Treo 750v's running Windows mobile 5 and 6.0. I am on New Zealands Vodafone Network
My problem is that we cannot sync from Outlook calendar to the PDA calendar, from the PDA to the calendar is fine when entered on the PDA.  We sync wirelessly via exchange 2003 on an SBS server.
I have have tried hard resets, different user accounts, different Treo 750v's, different versions of windows mobile all with no difference.  I have checked the firewall logs and event logs for errors. I have set all the virtual directories to the settings recommended by Microsoft. I ahve searched for a firmware update applicable to my devices without success
To me it seems like a permissions problem on a folder or virtual directory as when you sync an appointment from the PDA to Outlook you can modify it but the change is not reflected on the PDA although the PDA detects a change the appointment is not changed on the PDA.  If you move the appointment in Outlook to a new time that change is still not reflected on the PDA although it detects the change, but if you delete the message in outlook even though it is in a different time slot (in outlook) to the PDA copy it deletes the PDA copy when you synchronise.
    Any ideas
    Cheers Geoff

    Hi,
The devices are syncing to exchange directly, we do not use active snyc on the desktop as we mainly run a terminal server / citrix enviroment.  The appointments show up in OWA and in Outlook when entered on the PDA (Treo) so this means they are getting to the server.  When entered via Outlook they show up in OWA but not on the PDA although the PDA will detect the change.

Can anyone tell me how to import my calendar from Outlook 2003 or Yahoo to icloud calendar, which I then can sync to my Ipod touch?

If the iphone goes through the sync and nothing is moved to the iphone, there might be something blocking the sync.

having trouble syncing/downloading contacts & calendar & tasks from outlook 2010 to iphone4s help please.

I had the identical problem.  I still don't know how to sync the tasks, but here's how I did the contacts and calendar:
    1.  Connect the 4s to the computer.
    2.  Open iTunes.
    3.  Click the iPhone box in the upper right corner.
    4.  Click on the info tab.
    5.  Hit the checkbox Sync Contacts with... and choose Outlook from the dropdown box.
    6.  Ditto for Calendars.
    7.  Hit Apply.
My problem was that originally, I wasn't getting the checkboxes.  I turned off the iCloud settings on the 4s.  That did the trick.

  • Sync does not copy all contact data from Outlook 2003 to iPhone

I tried syncing my outlook 2003 to iphone. However the data information in outlook such as Work2 / Home2 / Fax 2 , E-mail 2 / etc; & other secondary numbers don't get copied on the iphone. Is there a patch or some other solution to fix this problem.
Also if we enter multiple home or office numbers in a contact in iphone how will outlook react to it.
    I am using itunes 7.6.1.

Well lots of writing on the web but i beleive i nailed the problem. Please spread the word further, the solution is (or actually the bug in Sync of iTunes :))
When iTunes developers select which contacts folder to synchronize they do not choose by what Outlook considers to be the main folder, what they do is they sort the list of folders alphabetically and then read the contacs from whichever folder comes first in that sorted list. So make sure that any other contact folder is named with a name that will be sorted out and go in the list after your main contact folder.
Mr. Jobs, i am actually happy to see apple doing this trivial childish mistakes, it means you are still mortal, i was starting to get frightened that apple is helped by mighty forces to us mortals still unknown

  • Can't Accept Meeting Invitations from Outlook 2003

I may be beating a dead horse here, but I just got the new iPhone 3GS, former Blackberry user. We do not use Outlook Exchange Server, but we do use just the stand alone Outlook 2003 application for calendars. I used to be able to open and respond to meeting invitations on my Blackberry, but have found that I can't open the meeting invitation on the new iPhone. From what I have read so far, it seems that this may not be currently supported by the iPhone. Can someone confirm this for me? If this is true, is there some work around by switching to using Google Calendar or Mobileme or something for Calendars??

I'm a former Palm Treo user for years, syncing with Palm desktop on my PC, and have several thousand appointments with notes on my Palm, as well as over 1000 contacts. I just switched to the i-phone 3GS, moved all my data from the palm over to Outlook 2003, synced after much heartache and difficulty, then moved all this data to the i-phone via i-tunes. As a first time user, the usefulness of the built-in calendar app. is weak, and when you have multiple overlapping appointments, it's very difficult to see these appointments in an easy visual field. In addition, there's no way to search for any content within the appointments other than by the particular day. Nor can you see the year view on the calendar.
Does any former Palm of Blackberry business user have another Calendar application suggestion for the 3GS or 3G that will sync with Outlook 2003, or better yet with Mobile Me? If you move to a different app for calendar, syncing with multiple machines or Mobile me is a problem, from what Apple tech support tells me.
    Thanks.

Do you have windows mobile device center installed(WMDC)? If not download it from here http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/downloads/microsoft/device-center-download.mspx
Be sure you download the correct version for your PC. If you have 32bit OS or 64bit OS. To find this out, right click on Computer under start and select properties. Near the middle it should say 32bit or 64bit. If you know you have the correct software. Open up the control panel and go to sync settings. Right click on the partnership you have setup and select delete. On your device go to Start-->Programs-->Activesync-->Menu-->Options tap on Windows PC and select Delete. Then once both are done resetup your partnership. But this time uncheck everything. Then once it is done syncing. Go to Mobile device settings and change content sync settings and select Contact. Click save and let it sync. Do the same for calendar, tasks, and notes but leave the last item checked. So when Contacts are done syncing you go and check Calendar and leave Contacts

  • Calendar times from Outlook are all wrong on my Iphone

I am using MobileMe to sync an Outlook 2003 calendar to an Iphone. I have timezone support enabled on MobileMe and the Iphone. The event times are all correct in Outlook and MobileMe, but all seem to be shifted 8 hours forward on the Iphone. We are in Pacific Time Zone (GMT-8), so the 8-hour shift is either a coincidence or somehow the source of the problem. Seems like the calendar events are displaying in GMT time on the Iphone, even though the Iphone TZ is set to PST (San Francisco).
For kicks, I synced another IPhone to the MobileMe account and the calendar events were shifted 8 hours on the second Iphone as well. So it seems to be something to do with MobileMe-Iphone connection. If thats the case, shouldn't these two products "just work" since they are both Apple products?
This is extremely frustrating since we have come to rely on our Iphone calendars, so any help much appreciated.

P.S. Include music videos IS checked within the iTunes music synch tab.

  • Synch Calendars IPHONE and OUTLOOK 2003: Appointments 1 hour difference

I have an IPHONE 3G, Software 2.1. I´m in Brazil, Sao Paulo, DST on. To solve the problem of 1 hour difference when I synch calendars with my outlook 2003, I had to change the Time Zone Management in IPHONE to another city, in Brasil (Recife) wich doesn´t use DST. This is OK, but do I have to make this procedure everytime I have a DST change? Does anybody know how to fix it? Version 2.2 will correct this ?

I just noticed the same thing!! i had given up on syncing my iPhone with my work computer running Outlook (only syncing to iCal at home), and then with version 2.2 i hoped that it might work better.
just synced to Outlook, and all my appointments that were on the iPhone were set to one hour earlier. Outlook time zone is set correctly, with automatic adjustment for DST. my iPhone is set to Date & Time automatic. haven't played around with resetting to manual.
i ended up adjusting all the events that were incorrect in Outlook - moving them up an hour, resynced, and now every thing is an hour late!!!
may have to give up on syncing Outlook again, and just sync with iCal.

  • Synchronizing contatcs from Outlook 2003

Does anyone know how to sync contatcs from Outlook 2003 to my iPod using iTunes (Windows XP)?
On Apple support I have found a way to do it mannually by just saving from Outlook a contact as a vCard file, but doing this way I always lose the photo of the contact.
I have an 80GB Video iPod and it supports photo in the contact description, but I cannot find a way to display it!!
Does anyone have synchronized their contacts with photo? I might need to know only the way the iPod saves the photo of the contact.
Thank you and excuse me for my poor english...
